A tall boy, with a long arms, and legs. He is muscular but not in the busting out of his clothes kinda way. He has blue eyes, which have glimmers of green in them, set in a high cheek boned face. He is topped off with a perfectly messy nest of brown hair, which has a slight curl to it.

Brief personality description:
Patroclus is a bright, enthusiastic young man. Full of energy, he is always up for whatever is going down. He has a very caring personality, but can be very stubborn at times, often when it comes to not deserting those he loves. A great sense of humour, and an outgoing personality, Patroclus is easily approachable and a great friend to have around. A well-travelled young man, he is well learned in all matter of science, literature and everything else!

Brief history: Growing up constantly traveling with his father renowned WizArcheologist Pollux Hudson and mother, Pandora, ex -Beauxbatons professor and older brother Prometheus, Patroclus has had a very interesting childhood. He is fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Mermish. Due to his varied exposure to the wondrous array of magical communities that inhabit the earth Patroclus is a proficient spellcaster and duelist. He is also studied in an Indian variant of Magic Yoga where as he is able to challenge surrounding natural elements. His family lives in London in a magically enhanced townhouse, and an Inherited Chateau in France. To finally settle down was a family decision as Patroclus’ older brother gained a job at the Ministry of Magic
First Year: In the middle of his first year as a Hogwarts Student, he was forced to leave to travel with his family to the remote Andes mountains of Peru to uncover the site of one of the earliest magically communities in Southern America.
Second Year: A death in the family resulted in Patroclus removal from Hogwarts in his second year. Spending that time in France, due to Inheritance negotiations over his mother’s estate, Patroclus was kept up to date with his education, and subsequently returned at the end of the school year, just in time for the Student Battles that plagued the school
Third Year: The Third Year of Patroclus’ education, was his first full school term. A family decision to allow Patroclus to stay at the school regardless of his parents and brothers movement, gave the boy a chance to make friends, and make a name from himself in the scholastic and social aspects of the school, rising to the be the highest male point scoring of the year, and resulting in top grades in all his subjects.
Fourth Year: After an action packed Summer involving cook offs, prank planning and a trip to China, Patroclus returned to Hogwarts in his fourth year with a well-developed social group, involving friends from all the house, and a possible love interest. The presence of the French Delegation of the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic resulted in the airing out of a love Triangle, which ended with Patroclus missing out on the girl, however never losing her as a friend.
Fifth Year: Patroclus’ fifth year began on an extreme high; being appointed male Prefect for Gryffindor. With his new title came new reasonablilies but also new challenges and new friends. In the opening months of the school term, he was successful in a tryout for the House team, playing center chaser, and being the highest scorer of any house, despite the Lions early lose. However off the field was just as successful for the young lion, especially in the matters of Love. A close friendship with Destiny Shepard began to show the starts of something more, but only time will tell…

Holidays: The past summer, for Patroclus could not have been more fun! A sailing adventure with his Parents searching for a lost city in the heart of the Aegean Sea, saw the Lion’s friends Lexi and Salander share the trip from Athens to Santorini, after which he was joined by Jacob his best firend. The trip was highly productive Pollux finding the clues to a lost tribe of anciet Greek wizards known for their ability to turn sea water into gold. Returnin to London, Patroclus caught up with his friends Destiny and Evelyn as well as the Prefects for the New Term. Well rested and relaxed and rocking a killer tan Patroclus returns for his Sixth year, ready to lead the Lions to the House Cup again!

Her characters wear wigs--see, this one stubborn character, who's infamously known as Velma wears this green wig, which was recently attacked by Lulu Patterson's pet ferret (NO WORRIES, NO WORRIES, IT'S CURRENTLY IN THE MAGICAL WIG HOSPITAL) but she takes these wigs as one of her most valuable assets because they distinguish Lola Jones and her characters.

Lola Jones is a midget. Standing at a height of 5’2” and for her age… yes, she admits she is a midget. She does have her moments of GLORY AND PRIDE--when she walks side by side with those first years. But eventually, she'll walk down the aisle of shame as they progress and grow and undergo through an uncomfortable process called--she's short, okay? Lola loves feeling girly. History: My life is scripted. I was born into a rich, pureblood family that was filled with different occupations--Healers, Ministry members, Magizoologists! The only time I actually ever chose a decision for myself was honestly when I chose to be an actress, that was a very early age--HI WILL YOU PLEASE BE MY FRIEND??!!11--and my parents thought about it for awhile. Actresses were too muggle for them. Whatever that meant. I was BORN to be an actress. I made scripts. I did acts. I did scenes. I studied people. Made characters in my head. My family members thought I was a strange one, and I learned that actresses were very expressive, and so, I was a wonderful, confusing, wild child. I still am.

You simply can't force the role of an actress to your daughter. But I loved every single bit of it. They soon enrolled me with the Wizarding Academy of Dramatic Arts--and believe me, it WAS Dramatic Arts. I hated it. I hated it so much. Everyone was like me. Expressive. And if everyone was like me, then I wasn't unique, and neither was anyone else. It was a school to learn the many secrets of acting, and so I tried to establish myself as one of the most unique people in the school (well I think I was).

I wore wigs.

They say that wigs have these magical powers of transforming people. Whether or not it's true, I felt it. I FEEEEEEEELLL THE MAGICAL POWERS OF MY WIGS. I just feel it. And it itches...

Well anyways, I refused to go to the school anymore. I felt that to be an actress, you can't be in a place full of people trying to act. No. You have to meet real people. EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY! The cheesiness of my life is necessary. So, I suggested to go to this other school called Hoggywarts, or something like that? I don't know. But there's apparently tons of people, REAAAAALLL PEOPLE WITH REEAAAALLL SOULS! I'm so excited. I brought Velma along with me because well, she just insisted on creating a Hogwarts massacre and well, how could I say no? So I packed up my green wig, said g'byebye to my Ma&Pa and here I am at this magical school, starting my lovely EXPERIMENT. You all should be ready. Yeah? Yeaaaaaah. One thing, you have to be my friend. It's a simple yes or no--JUST BE MY BEST FRIEND! That is an order.

Zara has been a little tall for her age, standing 5'2.5" compared to the other regular first years who stand 5” in height. Her skin colour is fair and full of life; not a pale white and not a tan either. She might appear slim in appearance, but is really somewhere in the middle of normal and thin. You would always find her gray eyes filled with emotion as it turns into different shades of gray. When happy and cheerful, her gray eyes brighten and are full of life. Zara is a happy young girl who has a not so bright past. Yet, the sadness of her past caused her to be inspired to become better for the future. Though sometimes flashbacks bring her mood down and make her emotions dim, after a few minutes of reflecting she is back on track. She strives hard to study because it's her first time being in an actual school since before Hogwarts, she was homeschooled and taught by a lady by the name of Miss Jenkins. When around her friends, Zara becomes hyper and a little playful. She enjoys a good laugh, and is fun to be around with. Also, she loves to read and compose which makes her a very intelligent girl. Music fills up her whole life ever since her parents have lost time for her. She devotes most of her time playing the piano and has made her first musical composition while at Hogwarts as a birthday gift for her mother. Also, Zara brings out a cheerful mood whenever speaking and you'd find her all smiles. Though sometimes she has moments where she simply closes her eyes and thinks of her past. Text Cut: Zara's Long Life Description Before Entering Hogwarts

On the eve of the 18th of December, a bouncing baby girl was born. Danielle Zara Griffiths was the only child of Daniel Zachary Griffiths and Isabelle Francesca Vandeviere. Therefore, she received all the pampering and luxury a princess could ever have. Treated like royalty, since her family was rich, Zara gained all the love from her parents and was happy growing up. Though she was not allowed to go outside for her parents fear she might first discover she was magical in front of Muggles, Zara was contented since her parents devoted all their free time to her and as a family, they bond every weekends together. Her father, who worked as a doctor, built his very own hospital next to their house since they could afford to. Her mother decided to choose the path of being a concert pianist, and regularly comes home early and plays a song for Zara. Also, Isabelle taught Zara a few lessons on how to play piano. But their lessons were soon cut short...

But this kind of happiness was too good to be true. Soon, on one winter morning, Zara came out of the house like always to get their mail and newspaper from the mailbox. As usual, she peeped outside their gate and saw the children playing. Humming a tune as she went back inside, she gave the letters to her parents. Her mother was playing a hearty lullaby on the piano while her father was reaching out to get the newspaper when a letter moved on its own. Zara's eyes were wide open in shock and amusement as she stared at the letter who had floated on air and ripped itself open. Her parents eyes were alert and when they saw this, their hands were instantly covering Zara's eyes and ears. When they let her free, Zara saw that the whole letter was torn into shreds. The next few weeks, her father never worked at the hospital anymore and a month later it was abandoned and closed. Meanwhile, her mother never touched the piano too. They both went home late, having no more time for Zara and her piano lessons ended. She was not allowed to ask questions about these matters, and she accepted it all in silence without a word, without a question.

This was the time when she began to search for friends to talk to and do things together with. But since she was all locked up and not allowed to go outside the gate of their mansion, Zara felt sad and all alone. Her parents hired a teacher to home school Zara, her name was Miss Jenkins. What she taught Zara wasn't the usual, it was everything she needed to know to prepare her for the wizarding world without her noticing it. First, of course, she was taught the basics. Reading and writing, adding and subtracting. But soon, as they advanced into higher levels, Zara was taught words such as reducto, lumos, maxima, silencio, and all those other words which were actually spells. Poor Zara didn't know back then and felt she was being taught useless things. Once, Zara managed to escape from their house while their servants ran after her. She hid behind a bush, and soon was able to find her way to the Muggle children's playground. Zara had her own playground back at the mansion, but the Muggle playground had something that the Griffiths' didn't have--lots and lots of children. Everywhere Zara looked, there were lots of children her age and younger and older. She approached a group of kids playing Ring Around A Rosie, and asked if she could join. When Zara said her name, the kids began to run away, screaming. Eyes streaming in tears, Zara went home, thinking that she was some monster no one wanted. Her parents never had time for her, she didn't have friends, her teacher was teaching her stuff she wasn't interested in. It seemed hopeless.

Zara decided that she would learn piano. She would be as great as her mom was so that they could play the piano together. She made a letter one day asking her parents to teach her piano and left in on their bed. The next day, Zara found that her parents hired a piano teacher to teach her how to play the piano. Disappointed as she was that it wasn't her mother that was going to teach her, Zara knew she had a goal to accomplish. At the age of 6, Zara was able to play classical music perfectly. And one Saturday, Isabelle realized that she needed to spend time with her only child. They played the piano together and for a whole hour, the connection between mother and daughter was revived. But after that one hour, Isabelle had to go to work again. It was a moment Zara treasured forever.

As Zara turned eleven, she celebrated it with her parents. Luckily, they had time whenever it was her birthday so Zara never complained. And whenever there was an occasion, they also celebrated it though sometimes her father has to go at unexpected times in the middle of a celebration. The morning of her birthday was like the usual except that her parents didn't go to work and were waiting for her at the breakfast table. As they ate through breakfast, Zara noticed that something was strange with them, like they expected her to do something. After eating, Zara took the mail and newspaper out of the mailbox again and brought it back inside. Fortunately, after that ripping letter incident, there wasn't any other unusual mail for the next few years. Not until now, that is. Because for the first time ever, Zara had a letter for her. Her parents looked at her with expectant faces, looking at the letters she had brought in with her. There, the secret was revealed to her.

Her parents had willingly told her all about the magic world and what their new jobs were. Zara finally understood why they have to leave and spend so much time away. Her mother became part of the Wizengamot council while her father was an auror. After explaining what they can for the day, Zara was finally contented and knew just about all the things she wanted to know. It was the best birthday ever, for she finally understood everything.

Months later, both parents accompanied Zara at Diagon Alley to buy her supplies. They have been very supportive ever since. Finally, when the day came that Zara was leaving, Isabelle and Dan Griffiths bid their goodbye to her at the station, waving as Zara left.

ABOUT ME/HISTORY

SPOILER!!: History... It's long and rambley!

CHILDHOOD AND HOGWARTS DAYS
Well... I might as well start right at the beginning, right? I was born on the thirty-first of October, in the year 2045 to Jack and Jill Brookes. My mum had a home-birth, from what I remember being told. Getting from Blackpool to St. Mungo's – even with magic – was probably just too difficult to do when in labour. I was a heavy baby, at 10 pounds 3 ounces.

In all honesty, I don't have that many memories of my family when I was a child, because my dad died from head injuries after being involved in a roller-coaster crash when I was four years old. Those four years prior to his demise are very faint in my memory. I wasn't there when he died, and I know little about my father's death because my mother felt that I was too young to understand “why Daddy's gone on a holiday for ever”. After my dad had died, my mum suffered from depression for years; she really did miss him. I didn't miss him as much, as I was too young to understand what had happened at the time of his death. That probably didn't help with her mental state, if I'm being honest.

The December after I'd turned 8 years old, my mother also lost her life. I believe she was experimenting with spells and charms to make some amazing fireworks for New Years, and... well, something went horribly wrong. I wasn't in the house at the time, but there was nothing left of it, and nothing left of her. Seeing as though it was a Muggle Town, the Firemen and Police put it down to something to do with a gas explosion, or something equally silly.

My dad was a muggle, and his parents had both passed away from old age. His only brother had moved to a far off country, and the authorities couldn't track him down. My mother's family... I know very little about them, and the muggle authorities certainly couldn't find anything about a wizarding family that'd spent generations hiding themselves away from muggles. So, there was only one place left for me to go. Within hours of my mum's death, I was being sent off to a Children's home in the centre of Blackpool. It was a muggle home, and I was the only witch in the whole building. Or, at least that's what I assumed when I was a child. Looking back on it now, I suspect that the lady that ran the home had magical blood. She was rather old and very lovely, but definitely not muggle.

I'd been home-schooled by my parents up until that point, but for those last three years I was sent to one of the local Primary schools. I was also set to be enrolled in the comprehensive Secondary school, when my Hogwarts letter arrived on the morning of my eleventh birthday. The fact that it arrived via owl, to Miss Davenport's office (that was the name of the Children's home owner) and not with a Hogwarts teacher just adds to my suspicions that she wasn't muggle. I never realized this fact while I was still in correspondence with her, though.

So, that following September instead of going to Bispham High School, I made my way to London to board the Hogwarts Express for the first time. And here I was thinking that I was escaping the bumblebee themed school, just to find myself sorted into Hufflepuff at the Start of Term feast. I'll admit, I was a little disheartened to be sorted into Hufflepuff, I was rather hoping to be in Ravenclaw. Hogwarts was one of the few things about the Wizarding world that I remember talking to my mum about, and I spent a good part of my seven years there wondering if my mum was proud of me getting sorted into the house that many regarded as the “loser House”.

While I was at Hogwarts, I didn't really make many friends. I stuck to my studying, and my research. I wanted to find out as much as I could about my parents and their deaths. Part of me always felt like their deaths were somehow my fault. I suppose that was my way of punishing myself for not being able to save them. Some of my teachers told me that was a silly way of looking at it, but it was how I consoled myself. It was what helped me find my purpose in this world. I didn't like seeing people get hurt, because I knew I could help them. And that was when I was merely 12 years old.

I left Hogwarts with the following NEWTs: O's in Charms, Potions, Transfiguration, and Herbology; E's in Arithmancy, DADA, and Ancient Runes; and P's in Care of Magical Creatures. I never became a House Prefect, nor did I become Head Girl. That didn't bother me, though, as Prefects and Head Girls do not heal injured students, and that is what I wanted to do. I also left Hogwarts with only one close friend. Dave. He was my best friend, and I often looked at him as more than a friend, too.

LIFE AFTER HOGWARTS
After graduating from Hogwarts, I was lucky enough to get into a wizarding university in the west coast of America, on a magical healing course. I spent four years in the US, training to be a Healer. In my time at university, I lost contact with everyone I'd known in England - even Dave. It wasn't until the November before I graduated that I tried to contact him properly. The only reply to my owl was from his mother: informing me that he was too ill to write back to me personally. The letter was short and to the point; she didn't seem to want to elaborate further. Even with more letters to Dave, I never got any more replies from him or his family.

I graduated from university in the summer of '69 as a fully trained Healer; at the age of 23. I moved back to England the week after the gradation ceremony, in the hope that I'd be able to visit Dave in person. They'd apparently moved house though, and I wasn't able to contact them again. So, after weeks of trying to track the Campbell's down I had to give up on Dave and admitted that I wasn't going to be able to find him again, until he was well enough to contact me himself.

My first job was in St. Mungo's. I was a Healer in the Artifact Accidents unit, for two short years. A couple of months into my new employment, I found out that my best - and really, my only friend was in St. Mungo's; and that he had been since 2067. Three whole years and I didn't know at all. I'd not visited him at all.

When I finally found the guts and the courage to go to the Spell Damages unit, I honestly wished that I never did. Instead of finding a friend that was extremely annoyed at me for never visiting, I found a man that looked at me like he'd never seen me in his life. All it took was a conversation (which consisted of a lot of convincing and sweet-talking) with his personal healer to find out what had happened to him. Dave had lost his memory: all of it. Every last ounce of his being, it was all gone. He didn't even know who he was, three years on. It was the result of a duel and a spell that went wrong. Even now, no one knows who the duel was with or why they had it.

After Christmas, I spent a lot of time in the Spell Damages unit with Dave. I needed wanted to make him remember me. I don't think my supervisors approved of the amount of time I spent there, in all honesty. Four months on, I had to force myself to admit that I wasn't going to be able to help Dave. I found myself walking away from him for good. Again.


I was only at St. Mungo's for 6 months longer after that. I found knowing that Dave was in there just too difficult. The Head mediwitches tried making take paid leaves from work, with a large list of official excuses, such as depression and stress. I refused, as this would've gone down horribly on my CV. I applied for work elsewhere, and by the April, I'd been hired as the temporary Quidditch Mediwitch for the Wimborne Wasp's Home games. I left St. Mungo's for good in the first week of March 2071.

My contract with The Wasp's was only a 12 month contract, so I knew I had to start looking for other work, too. I turned to the States, figuring that getting as far away from England would do me a lot of good. After several interviews and meetings with the Principle of Salem's Witches Institute, I was offered the position of Healer at the American school. Over that summer, I moved back to America and got accustomed to the American Wizard's way of life again; ready to start Healing in the September of 2072.

I held that position for three years, before resigning. A new healer had come along, and the whole school held the impression that she was better. I begun to feel like I wasn't needed at the school with her insisting on doing EVERYTHING. So, I handed in my resignation.

Summer 2075 marked my return to England. I moved back to Blackpool, and rented a room in a dingy Bed & Breakfast near the Town Centre. For the first time in my adult life, I had no plans. I had nothing to do. Using a large portion of my savings, I bought one of the few townhouses on the sea front that hasn't been converted into a hotel. My intentions were to spend a year converting and creating my dream house; the house I'd always wanted since I was a kid.

But then my reputation as a Healer got in the way, when one day I was sent an owl from Hogwarts. It was about how their current healer had quit, and they needed a new one. I was being asked for. I was hardly going to turn the offer down. After an interview and a couple of meetings with Headmaster Tate, I was appointed Healer of Hogwarts. My home in Blackpool's going to have to wait until the summer, as I moved into the castle right away; in order to get the Hospital Wing prepared for the upcoming year...

PERSONALITY

Everett is a jerk, and a lazy one at that. End of story. Or maybe not. But he loves to act like a jerk. He is a very reserved person, with a trust no one attitude. He likes to keep to himself, simply because that is how he has always been since he was a child. Everett at times can be quite serious but if you are able to understand his humour he is very easy to get along with. He tends to have a lot of dry humour and is often found to be quite sarcastic.

Although he is a serious person he doesn’t tend to react to most problems in a serious way. When a problem arises he looked at in a relaxed manner. Unless it’s the end of the world or the sky is falling he will take his time resolving whatever problem is at hand at his own pace.

Many people find Everett's actions to be quite random and at times uncalled for, but since he does not care what other people think it is very unlikely that he will give up his random and uncalled for ways in the future. He tries not to overextend himself on issues that he doesn't care about. He is lazy, and he likes it that way.

HISTORY
Born in Scotland to Halfblood Wizard Deacon Scabior and Muggleborn Witch Aarika Scabior. Everett was the fourth child and only son. He often found pride in being the only boy in his family, as it was really the only thing that really set him apart from the rest. From a very young age Everett realized that each of his sisters had a special talent for something. His eldest sister, Vonny, was a people person, using her lovable personality to get along with both her peers and adults alike. The next, Carina, seemed to excel in anything academic, blasting any of his test scores out of the park.The last Raynalie was excellent in sports, more specifically Quidditch. This left Everett at a standstill at a very young age. He wasn't quite sure exactly where he fit in, or what he excelled at.

Growing up Everett was an abnormally quite kid. In fact he barely spoke and was so quite, that his father dubbed him 'that mute boy of mine'. When he was five he was even taken to a few mediwitches to see if there were any problems with him, but all their results were the same; the boy was fine.

And they were right. Dash never did have a problem with his speech or trouble with words. He just followed the philosophy his mother had taught him before he could remember. "If you have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

When he turned 11, he was accepted into Hogwarts, and joined his sister Raynalie in the Slytherin House. One night, within the first few weeks of school, Dash found himself being pushed around by a fourth year student in the common room. For the first time ever he found himself speaking up, insulting the boy and his intelligence. Instead of being attacked, the fourth year boy, as well as everyone else in the common room watching, laughed at his witty comment. It was then when he realized that speaking his thoughts could actually be a good thing. Everett found himself fitting right into the house with his sarcastic nature, as the older Slytherin students encouraged him and quickly accepted him. For once he was not hiding behind his sisters success. In the middle of his first year he quickly found interest within in the Hogwarts library after finding books that contained Wizarding facts, and the history of famous Wizards that he had never heard of before. His Hogwarts years flew by, but were not completely uneventful (he did accidentally light a fire in the green house three during his in his third year while trying out a new spell, and earning a reputation for being such an abysmal flyer and a jerk).

After graduating Hogwarts, Everett had no real goals. He didn't really know what to do but he knew that he loved books. After following his sister Carina to Egypt for a bit, he returned home and on sudden whim applied for a job at a local Muggle Library as a library technician. It was his first real experience to Muggle culture and, Muggle related text. After two years of working at the library his father had, had enough of his 'slacking attitude, and useless job'. He instructed Everett to do something with his life and get a real career. So he quit his job, and upon his father's suggestion he applied for a job as a Hit Wizard, which would set him apart from everyone in his family, since it had been a century since someone in his family had been part of the MLE.

During the time of his training he met two fellow Hit Wizards in training Ferris Chasrest and Gloria Kerr. Gloria soon dropped out of the training, but they kept in touch and their relationship grew and soon the two began to date. After training for two years he was finally given the title as an official Hit Wizard. It wasn't his ideal job, it was his fathers. But there was a always a certain thrill to it which he couldn't complain about. Ferris had been assigned as Everett's partner and the two formed a close friendship over the years. A year after he had been part of the MLE, Everett and Gloria were married in a small ceremony. Everett's life seemed to be perfect, unfortunately that only lasted a few years.

After only four years of being a Hit Wizard, Everett resigned when a certain mission went wrong and resulted in the death of his partner and friend Ferris. He began to re-think his life and decided to try and find a job that involved his interests. This ultimately resulted in the falling out between him and his father, causing the older man to never utter another word to him, and unofficially disowning him.

Dash shrugged it off and decided to enrol into Wizard University so he could get a degree which he never thought about doing after leaving Hogwarts. He enrolled into the Wizarding University in Greece and with a lot of persuasion he convinced Gloria to pack up and movie to Crete. During his third year in the university, he welcomed his son Kyroh Moises into the world, despite the fact that his marriage with Gloria was slowly starting to disintegrate, and had been, well before the move. The year before he graduated University, Everett moved back to Scotland as was able to get a job as a History Scribe in British Ministry working with important dates and facts. He communited back and forth, trying to finish school and work in two different countries, though that was the least of his worries that year, since it was also the year when his divorce from Gloria was finalized.

They decided to share joint custody over their son Kyroh, not wanting the court to get involved, with the boy mostly living with Gloria. However, that soon fell apart when she realized how hard it was to look after a child by herself. After moving to Denmark, Gloria decided that Dash would keep Kyroh until she was able to hold down a steady job, and then she could take him back. (However, since the decision Gloria was able to get a steady job, and yet Kyroh still lives with Everett 85 percent of the time.)

Everett stayed at the Ministry for a couple more years before deciding to quit altogether. He found that the work which he had to complete at the Ministry did not allow him to grow and learn the way he would have liked it to. Once he quit he completed his own book titled 'Beyond the Tales: 20th Century Wizards and Witches'.

While researching for his second book, Everett heard through the grapevine that Hogwarts was looking for a new History of Magic Professor. He found the idea of teaching so interesting that he had arranged a meeting with Headmaster Tate. And strangely enough, he was actually hired.

He is now entering his fifth year at Hogwarts. Though he doesn't plan on teaching for the rest of his life, at the moment he is content with the job. Good money, good office, and he has as much freedom to teach what he wants. The only downside? The students.

Taking after her father and sister, Rosaline is a natural born redhead. Her curly red locks come just past shoulderblade length, usually worn down or in a messy ponytail. When not in in robes, Rosa tends to favor jeans and sweaters paired with boots, depending on the time of year and how warm it is. Her fair complexion is another thing she shared with her father and sister, leaving her an easy target for the sun during the summer time especially.

History -
Born in Cornwall, England to Aurors Edeline (Foxx) and Vance Hughes, Rosaline Patricia came into the world one late evening exactily four years, one month and twenty-eight days after her very excited and proud big sister Sora, completing their happy little family. The two sisters had been inseperable from the start and at the age of six, Sora helped Rosa find her inner magic. Playing outside in a field one day, Sora encouraged Rosa to help her fly a kite without allowing the wind to aid them, telling her 'If you just believe, we can do it.' and sure enough between the two young girls, the kite made it off the ground and all the way into the sky, soaring freely for them to watch. Magical incidents became a regular thing around the house from Rosaline after that point, whether by accident or by will, their parents were proud nonetheless.

The following year Rosaline turned seven-years-old and Sora turned eleven-years-old, and while Sora received her acceptance letter to Hogwarts, Rosa was left to wait her turn and experience her first year without her sister always being by her side. It was a quiet year, though Rosaline did try to entertain herself with new adventures anyway she could, there wasn't much she would remember about it later in life. Nothing important happened. Time went on, and summer of 2049 came around. Before she knew it, her big sister was home from her first year of school and excited as ever to tell her every last detail that she couldn't possibly describe well in letters to her family. From the ancient castle, to the great lake, to the professors and classes and ghosts, Sora told her everything, even explaining the Houses and their meanings and how wonderful it would be when Rosa turned eleven and could join her in Hufflepuff, because surely they wouldn't be seperated.

It was that same summer that tragedy struck the Hughes family, one sunny afternoon while the girls were outside playing, an attack was made. Aurors make enemies, so they say, and this was no exception to that fact. Unfortunately, Rosaline and Sora had found themselves in the middle of a battle of flying spells that their parents tried to fight off. One of which would have hit Rosa, had it not been for Sora pushing her away and accidentally taking it herself. Rosaline lost her sister that day, something that would change her life forever. It took a long time for Rosa to adjust to not having her sister anymore. A very long time. Her parents tried to put their attention into her more than they allowed themselves to grieve the loss of their other child, working to protect the one they had left in every way possible and put whoever ended their Sora's too short life in Azkaban forever.

When Rosaline turned eleven, her parents happily took her to Diagon Alley to purchase her first wand. It was a funny little stick that had chosen her, one that could only be described as an experiment gone odd, but indeed the wand was meant for her and Rosa couldn't have been more thrilled. The rest of her school shopping had come to an abrupt end when she had become seperated from her parents by mistake, wandering the streets on her own and finding herself in a bit of an adventure upon stumbling unknownly right into Knockturn Alley. Thankfully for her, a boy about her age had been near and helped find her way back, returning her lost self to her parents who couldn't have been more relieved. A friendship developed between Rosaline and the boy that day, and she promised to keep in touch.

Not more than a few weeks later, her happy trip was over and the young girl's life would be turned upside down again. Both of her parents were killed while on a mission that had gone terribly wrong, leaving her in the care of her elderly grandparents. Moved from the only home she had ever known, Rosaline went to live with her grandparents in New Zealand with her aunt and uncle close by. Her grandmother had her last name legally changed from Hughes to Foxx for her safety, hoping to stop her from being linked to her parents so obviously in the future. Rosaline was devastated not to attend Hogwarts for similar reasons, and instead found herself in Durmstrang the following September.

Seven years came and went at a normal pace, and upon graduating, Rosaline joined her grandfather and uncle working in the Antipodean Opaleye dragon reserve back home. Divorced and the mother of a baby girl at twenty-two-years-old, Rosa briefly made a career switch to Auror training where she met a man who helped her with private, sometimes explosive tutoring sessions in Occlumency. Auror training didn't last long, a year at most before Rosaline was convinced that she was making the wrong decision for the wrong reasons, and returned home once more to help tend to their dragons.

Now at thirty-two-years-old, Rosaline is a happily married woman and mother of four small children, the keeper of dragons and one insane dog, and is about to go on a journey to Hogwarts that she missed out on many years ago. This time, as the new Care of Magical Creatures professor.

Sarani is competitive, strong-willed and doesn’t believe in losing. She has a stunning smile, but it isn’t often that it indicates anything good. She hates people who waste her time, and her humour is the sarcastic kind. Despite that, she can be a charming conversationalist when she wants to be. She's excellent at what she does, and knows it. She sets high goals for herself, and holds others to the same standard as she holds herself. She isn't afraid of manipulating and tricking others to get what she wants, but she never goes back on her word. Very few things surprise or alarm her. She is good at both finding and avoiding trouble, and does not believe in fear.

Sarani was born to a wandmaking family, in October 2047. Her mother divorced her father a few months later (“He didn’t like shopping anymore! Can you believe that?”) and Sarani was brought up by California Zircon, her father’s very young and very vibrant second wife (Sarani’s father was her third husband but, for some reason Sarani never understood, the relationship lasted). California loved two things: cats and dance. Sarani was enrolled in Mrs. Thea’s Splendid School of Dance and Music as soon as she could walk, and received at least one cat for each birthday, until she let them all loose in California's bedroom one day.

While her father had never been interested in the infamous family business – wandmaking – being a Zircon meant knowing about wands, and he encouraged Sarani to learn from his brother. By the time she was thirteen, she could identify all basic wand types. Which, she decided, was useful but boring. She wanted excitement. She wanted a challenge. She wanted to make herself a wand. She attempted that two years later, on her own and without any supervision whatsoever. It wasn’t the brightest idea, and left her with a scar and singed hair.

She first saw Orson Black at one of her mother’s parties, a few weeks before her nineteenth birthday. He was thirty-five, he was walking, talking charisma, and he didn’t look like the sort of man who had time to waste at California’s balls. She was intrigued and, on learning that he specialized in poisons, sought him ought. He agreed to take her on as a student and, almost until the end of her stint at the Zürich University of Defensive Arts, Sarani juggled uni and her new apprenticeship. She was enthralled by Toxicology, which became a passion. She and Orson got together a few weeks after her twentieth birthday, but things turned sour after he found out she was obtaining ingredients via the gray market. He'd never been on the right side of the law himself, but he did not like the idea of her doing the same. Their relationship grew strained, ending when Sarani told him she was done with working under - or with - him.

Sarani offered her services to the Ministry of Magic. Her research on and knowledge of poisons and antidotes was useful, and she became an undercover agent for the Swiss Clandestine Services. Part of the work involved further and strenuous training, but she was fine with that. Things would have been alright if the bosses hadn't had the bright idea that, with her training, she would make an excellent auror, so why waste all that talent? The truth was that there had been a mass resign of aurors over Ministry policy, and they needed more personnel. Sarani was transferred, her first assignment being very low-key, a guy called Zen Whitcomb, a "former dark artiste" who had "turned over a new leaf," but couldn't quite give up the old ways, since he had been caught settling muggles objects that tended to turn into chickens. The task was simple to the point of being boring. She tracked down the guy... and ran off with him (He was handsome. It was instant chemistry). While on the run, she learned about vampire hunters, people who tackled rogue vampires - vampires who left their colonies to attack towns and kill humans. She knew at once that she wanted to be one. She hauled Zen off to the Ministry of Magic, and turned him in. (It wasn't like he was going to be sent to prison. Well, at least not for more than one or two months. He hadn't hurt anyone. Just given the obliviators more to do.) The agencies weren't impressed by her five months' absence, or her line of reasoning that she had reformed Zen, since he hadn't sold anything that turned into a chicken, in the past five months. But she had plenty of dirt on the Ministry, and the matter was hushed up. She and the agencies came to a mutual agreement: they'd leave each other alone.

Her parents were furious but, knowing they would come around eventually, she left Switzerland to meet one of Zen's friends, a vampire hunter. She learned the tricks of the trade. It was a dangerous job, which meant Sarani loved it. Things took an unexpected turn when she got into a bit of trouble last year, which Orson agreed to bail her out of on one term: she would repay him. Sarani knew it wasn’t a good idea, but she didn’t have a whole lot of other options at the time and agreed. Last month, she received an envelope from him – the only contact they’d had since – that contained a cut-out advertisement: the post of DADA professor at Hogwarts was vacant. Sarani wasn’t one to turn back on her word, and she applied. She still doesn’t know the why of the letter but, knowing Orson, she’s sure it’s more than just wanting to get back at her for walking out on him.
