Background:
Samara Choi was born in Seoul, South Korea where she lived the first eight years of her life. Her father is a very skilled wizard that works with dragons and it was through this that she first encountered them and acquired her scar at the age of three. This was also the first time she showed signs of magic.

Her family moved to her mother's native home of London when she was eight after both of her parents were relocated there for work. She watched sadly as her older brother got accepted to Durmstrang and wondered when her turn would come. Two years later, she received her invitation to Hogwarts and was never happier.
