Background
Alfred’s life so far has been rather mundane and run of the mill in comparison to most witches and wizards. He was born in South London and grew up on a council estate in Brixton, raised by his muggle parents. He is a bright boy and attended a muggle school where he achieved high grades in all subjects. Although Freddie is advanced academically, he only started showing the tell tale signs of magic just under a year ago in mid October. He was too late to start Hogwarts that year and money proved to be too tight to provide Freddie with a private tutor. As his situation was so unique, the Ministry of Magic, Magical Education Department provided Freddie with a tutor free of charge. Although a fast leaner he is extremely behind his class mates.

The family were of course surprised by Freddie's magical ability, but it wasn't the shock most muggle families get when they discover the magical world; Freddie's grandfather on his father's side was a wizard and his Aunt Tallulah (his cousin, Oliver Greenwood's mother) is a witch.

A high flier at his muggle school. the boy confesses that he's petrified about being so behind in his education. He would much rather forget he's a wizard and stick to what he knows.

Personality
Quiet, straight faced and closed. Freddie's lack of confidence can be easily mistaken for arrogance. He gives the false impression to the onlooker that he's extremely independent and untouchable emotionally. A hard nut to crack, his conversation can very often amount to nothing more than a mumbled comment here or there. He looks and seems as hard as nails –a result of the environment in which he grew up– but he's actually quite a sensitive, thoughtful young man whose intelligence shines through once you get to know him and he's relaxed enough to let you in.

Appearance
Tall and wiry. Freddie has dark short cropped hair, blue-grey eyes and a pale complexion. His façade is rough and unsmiling and he carries himself with a slouched swagger making him look smaller than his six foot frame.
