Family Background
The Nairne family are of mixed blood, Simone a mostly pure blood witch and Xavier a half blood with a whole line of muggles and muggleborns in his family tree. This being a reason that the extended Ralston side of the family causes drama. Academics: School comes easily to Claude, he doesn't try very hard nor does he make an effort to push ahead in his classes. From the outside looking in, he may come off as someone who doesn't care much about school and is not academically inclined. Outside of occasional outliers, he is an A/O student. Additional historical context
Growing up, Claude was quite close with his mother, but had a tumultuous relationship with his father. He entered the foster care system at age 12. From ages 12 - 15 he bounced around several group/foster homes due to instances of poor fit and behavioral trouble. At age 16 (10 months before he would start Hogwarts) he was adopted by Dante and Abraham Botros-Giordano. Due to inconsistent schooling and outstanding circumstances, Claude was held back a year and started Hogwarts as a 4th year student in Ravenclaw house.
