Hayden welcomed the hug from her friend, and squeezed her right back. She nodded vigorously when Norah pulled back and asked a question of her own. "Yes! I am super excited!" She paused for a moment because she had suddenly thought of a very serious question. "You don't think it will be dangerous do you?" What if they got eaten by the loch ness monster? Getting eaten by anything would make for a terrible field trip. She tried to shake the thought from her mind and smiled at Adi. But she didn't have time to talk to him any more before the professor announced that it was time for them to leave. YAY! THE MOMENT THEY HAD ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!

She hurried over to the closest professor, who happened to be Flamsteed, and grabbed on to the umbrella. She made sure to watch and make sure everyone else was able to fit, and see if she might have to grab less of it to make room. But everything looked like it was going fine. THEY WERE GOING TO LEAVE! Though Hayden was a little nervous, because she had never traveled by portkey before and didn't know what to expect.

He just looked at Chloe and chuckled. "Well that's good since it looks like we are going to be leaving soon." He could see the reason to be excited, but it was just Scotland, they weren't going to anywhere super cool like they did in other years, but a trip was a trip and he was going to make the most of it.

"Yeah the food would be a good thing." He was always hungry, especially during quidditch seasons. All the flying at practice had his appetite up again. He looked around, "Though I think we are leaving soon, so we might have to wait." Maybe food would be right where they landed. That would be perfect.

Emmylou saw and HEARD Professor Flamsteed. Was it just her? She would bet that anyone could hear him from a mile away. It wasn't uncommon because he was loud and normally very excited about his job and he seemed to be very excited about this field trip but who wouldn't be, yeah? It was a field trip and to someone like Emmylou who had never been on a field trip before she was super, extra excited about all of this. She waved at Professor Flamsteed and Mr. Kitridge. "Hello." Emmylou smiled becuase she was so excited about seeing her friends that she forgot to say hello to them which was very rude of her.

Emmylou looked around to see if there was anyone else that she knew. People just kept showing up and she knew nearly all their faces but she wasn't friends with all of them...yet. She would like to be friends with all of the people here but the was really impossible to do throughout the whole summer because friendships need to start off slowly before they really even take off. The blonde kept looking around and saw a badger that she knew. No it wasn't Kace but Kace was already here so that really didn't matter all right now. Emmylou sent a wave over to Adi. "Hey Adi." She said smiling.

"HEY!" Emmylou smiled when she saw her best friend/sister/cousin, that would be Cinna "I lost you!" She said to her. "How did I lose you? My shortness? I'm blaming my shortness on this one." The blonde nodded at Cinna.

She give him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Just making it through the crowd." There was quite a few people going on the trip. "Oh no, I had a great time last night at the reception. I'm not a bit sleepy." Even though she didn't sleep at all last night. "I hope so." She really did the sooner they left the sooner they'd be there. She couldn't wait to see what was all in store for them doing the week.

Whichever Mitch, abd Stella were both like family to her now. "Where's Mitchie?" He was coming right? Cinna hadn't seen him around. If he was there he would me with her, right? They were worse then her and Bart or her and Emmy. Didn't see one without the other.*

So awkward there was an entire other group standing around with her that she hadn't even bother to speak to, yet. Either because didn't care too much for them or it had been a while since she had spoken to them or hardly spoke to them in the first place. They were all soon to be Gryffindor sixth years, too. They had all week together so she could deal with small talk with them, right? She would try.

She gave each a grin, Abbi got a special smirky grin. Even more when Bart pulled her closer. Hehe. She looked at him and gave him a small quick grin too. Then turned back to the others. "Hey guys. Are you guys excited about the trip? Having a good summer?" Ugh small talk. But it was enough for her. She doubted that any of them would talk to her anyway.

"Hello, Professors!" Thompson and Kitridge was there. As chaperones she assumed. And look who is was, her head for house himself Flamsteed had arrived with no Medea. did that mean that it was almost departure time? Please. She was really to get out of this group of too many people she'd rather not be around so she could be closer with the ones she did want to be around

He chuckled at hot stuff, but hey he wasn't now wasn't he? Was he ready for the trip? She knew him well enough to know he was as ready as he was going to get. "I really hope I can find some cool new ingredients to take back with me." Nature was free for the taking and if it wasn't well he'd sneak it anyway. "I had a lot of fun too. Alana and Elisa really seemed to have a ball dancing." His sisters were pretty cute flower girls and he couldn't believe how late they stayed up.

Zander was going to be mowing the lawn until he was 50. But it was worth it. "I might need a cruppy sitter at some point though! The one I got for this week is pretty booked for the rest of the summer," though uh... Puck wouldn't try to feed his crup more of those bread people... Would she?

Zander hadn't noticed Amur's arrival right away, but he did send her a small smile as he saw her approaching. Merlin. For someone so tiny, she sure could move fast. Noticing that she was making an effort to get close and whisper something, Zander leaned over a bit too. You know... Height difference and all. Made things kind of difficult. Though, he was kind of confused as to why she looked so cautious of everything.

... Little Amur say what now? Check for legitimate IDs? Zander gave her a momentary strange look before he saw the way she, herself, was looking around. Something was really concerning her, huh? He quickly dropped the look before turning back to her and leaning down just slightly. "I was one of the first to arrive, so I got to chat with them for a bit. Don't worry, they're safe."... Is that what she wanted to hear?

He looked over at Sophie in hope of some sort of confirmation. She had heard it all, right? But uh... incase, "I can keep my eye out though? Uh, if anything goes wrong... I'll pull out my wand faster than you can say... erm... faster than you can say... Well just fast." Yeah. That.

"Oh I'm always having a good time no matter where I'm at." He smirked sensing Zander's uneasiness. He enjoyed making people unease. This was just one of the many things he found this past term that he really enjoyed. "This trip is going to be just full of excitement isn't it." He lifted his brows interestingly. Oh yes it would be some fun times.

Hearing the professors he looked around "Let's go with Kitridge." He nodded toward Brynny, Emmy, and Cinna. As well as Austin to see if the younger kid was coming. Heading towards the librarian he took hold of the portkey and with the group was taken to the destination.

SPOILER!!: Hayden!!

Norah tugged on a curly strand of hair and let it bounce back as she grinned at Hayden. Even MORE excited people, wooooh! It was even better when friends were excited for sure. Now that she knew Hayden would be on the trip too the whole thing got even MORE awesome. She didn't think it was possible, but apparently it was.

Dangerous? She shrugged and wrinkled her nose. "I dunno, maybe. I bet the professors will make sure nobody gets hurt, though. Professors are good at that." Her eyes slid to the ground for a moment because even she couldn't forget what'd happened last term that easily, but all the Professors were probably extra careful after...that. Right? She was pulled away from the thought, though, when it was time to do stuff, YEAH. Norah looked up quickly and shrugged her bag back onto her shoulders before bounding after Hayden in the direction of Professor Flamsteed. Time for all the CRAZY COOL bits!

She gave those she locked eyes with a nod or slight wave, while still maintaining the clutch on her bag as she slowly and carefully made a b-line for Zander. Once there, she sidled up to the Prefect's empty side and took to eyeing the other Professors that were gathered.

After a moment, she could contain it no longer. Leaning over slightly, she whispered out of the side of her mouth to the Prefect and his arm-linked-second-half. "Zander, did you ask them to present some legitimate ID yet?"

Because really, how did any of them know that these men weren't dark wizards looking to cause a bit of trouble. Had anyone checked? Amur peered from left to right and forward again, letting out a huff. Probably not. But then no one seemed overtly concerned, and someone would have noticed something, right?

Right. There were Prefects here. That was their job. She nodded to herself and looked up at her friend. No pressure Mr. Adair, but did you check for ID?

Was she ready to act MORE responsibly this go around? While Airey disliked being THAT professor, it had been brought to his attention that he had no other choice.

It was going to be a tight term for you and Mr. Adair. Tight indeed.

"Miss Wright!" the astronomer greeted, his voice breaking into a high pitched squeak at the sight of her. Sweet solstice don't let her be a part of his travel group. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet soltice no. "I should let you know that I have made sure we will have a space just to the right of the entrance to the Great Hall for the start of term feast," he added with a bit of a wink. Hopefully preparations on her end were coming along.

He was quite excited for this little adoption fair project.

A small wave was made to the young Gryffindor - although his attention was briefly drawn towards Mr. Adair, Miss Neverwinter, and their whispered conversation - and a small wink thrown in for good measure.

"Hello, Mr. Rehman," Airey saluted the young man. He was just radiating energy like a star about to supernova today, wasn't he? Osmosis...maybe he could get some of that enthusiasm to replace the man's nervous energy.

But first...another packet of space ice cream. Strawberry this time.

"Hello and good day, Miss Duchannes," he smiled at the young lady. "You are looking ready and eager today."

Was that question directed at him? She was looking AT him, so he supposed it was the safest assumption. Even if his knowledge of creatures was elementary at best. Although he did know a bit more about kelpies than he had a few weeks ago. It paid to have a life partner that used to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts...and was a bit of a creatures fanatic.

"Well...considering kelpies don't require a saddle when they lure the unsuspecting on to their backs, then dragging said victims under the water to devour them, I would assume that means you would not need a saddle to ride them," he replied while tapping his chin thoughtfully with his index finger. "Suppose if you wanted to sit a bit more comfortably on to its back as you are dragged to your doom a saddle would be advised, however."

"Hello, Miss Bayless," he saluted. "Survived your OWLs I see." Cue a nervous chuckle.

Alright, small talk was not your strong suit today, Flamsteed. Best stick to eating your space ice cream and waiting for the departure time to arrive.

Which as strange. And Zander wasn't letting his guard down. Not after everything that had happened the last time he let his guard down. "Yeah. Great." He gave the boy a strange look with furrowed brows. This was too weird. Zander did NOT like it. Bart was up to something ~~always was~~. "And yours?" Was probably great, huh? Filled with loads of Cinna.

"It's been decent," he was still smiling though. Despite being at home for most of it, he quite enjoyed the exam free environment it provided. Plus, there was tons of time to spend with his cruppy because holy Merlin had she started to get bigger. And teething was happening too. But again, no complaints. Could be worse. You know, like fifth year. Ahem. "How's your summer been, Marigold?" It was a good thing all that awkward stuff was behind them, right? Right. It was TOTALLY behind him. Again, he glanced over at Sophie giving her side a gentle nudge with his elbow. Was she as excited for this trip as he was? Not that he was really excited about the trip... More for just being out and about. But still.

OH that's right! He still had to talk to Eden and thank her about the cruppy stuff. 'Cause "They didn't kill me for it! So that's the good news," he laughed. "But really, they softened up once I started begging. And I think it helped that Azalea's so cute?" Definitely helped. Her mom was a sucker for that kind of stuff. Dad, though, he was more difficult. Zander was going to be mowing the lawn until he was 50. But it was worth it. "I might need a cruppy sitter at some point though! The one I got for this week is pretty booked for the rest of the summer," though uh... Puck wouldn't try to feed his crup more of those bread people... Would she?

Zander hadn't noticed Amur's arrival right away, but he did send her a small smile as he saw her approaching. Merlin. For someone so tiny, she sure could move fast. Noticing that she was making an effort to get close and whisper something, Zander leaned over a bit too. You know... Height difference and all. Made things kind of difficult. Though, he was kind of confused as to why she looked so cautious of everything.

Hm.

... Little Amur say what now? Check for legitimate IDs? Zander gave her a momentary strange look before he saw the way she, herself, was looking around. Something was really concerning her, huh? He quickly dropped the look before turning back to her and leaning down just slightly. "I was one of the first to arrive, so I got to chat with them for a bit. Don't worry, they're safe."... Is that what she wanted to hear?

He looked over at Sophie in hope of some sort of confirmation. She had heard it all, right? But uh... incase, "I can keep my eye out though? Uh, if anything goes wrong... I'll pull out my wand faster than you can say... erm... faster than you can say... Well just fast." Yeah. That.

After hearing the directions from the Professor's, Kace needed to decide which professor he wanted to go with. He held onto his belongings which wasn't TOO much. He decided to go with Flamsteed. Say hi to her housemate? Turning her attention back to Chloe she just nodded. “Well I hope she gets here soon then! It’ll be so much more fun with both of you guys!” She grinned over to him.

“Oh of course I’m excited! Are you kidding me right now we get to portkey to a location that is reaaaally close to the school” she grinned over to him. “Emmy, loooove this is going to be fun okay?” She grinned over to her. “Hey Bart,” she added with a nod. Yep she caught the look Cinna was giving Kace and gulped slightly…what had she done something? She was talking to one of her best friends so just smiling at her and talking was the best bet yeah? Right. Of course it was.

“Hey Cinna, Hey Bart” she grinned at the two. “Oh yeah the trip’s going to be so much fun!” She grinned and smiled at Cinna and Bart…oh Flamsteeeed was talking again. Turning to Zander she just grinned, “well I’m happy to know I’m not talking to a ghost right now,” she grinned a bit more and hoped that didn’t sound awkward or weird. “I’m glad that you are able to keep her – oh…watch Azalea? Of course I can!” She grinned over to him. “No bread of course,” she added because yeah carbs and dogs weren’t the best mix were they?

When she spotted Ruby walking over to Grayson she just grinned. “Cute shirt Ruby, we should definitely go shopping together sometime this summer?” She offered kindly. And then she turned her attention back to Kace and the looming Portkey time.

“Let’s make this awesome!” She just grinned at him.

What? Zander thought she wouldn't make it? Pfffffffft. Sophie wouldn't miss this fun for the world.

...At least not without a kick in the bum and a little bit of bribery first. Ahem.

As all the students gathered, Sophie grinned and had greetings for everyone - hugs were returned to the huggers, too - and she was very relieved to have the company of Josie, Ethan, Norah, Marigold, Cole, Abbi, Brynn, Eden, Penelope, Kace... some others, too, including Flammy, and with each friendly face that arrived, she felt more and more relieved.

But part of her still kept half expecting a bouncing brunet to come along and join them. The Tobes was greatly missed.

Still in her funk, she didn't engage in any conversations around her - she just listened and smiled and gave little answers here and there to politely respond to people's questions, very much not herself today - and when they finally got all set to go and the portkeys arrived, the Ravenclaw was visibly relieved. NO MORE STANDING AROUND. Yeeees. "We're going with Javy," Sophie told Zander, tugging him closer to the massive creatures professor, as if they weren't already close enough. "You guys are my protectors." Just so he knew, though... she was certain Zander didn't think she needed protecting. And maybe she didn't need protecting in those kind of ways, but... maybe they could protect her from herself. They'd keep her thoughts up during this trip, wouldn't they?

Clinging to Zander for dear life with one arm and grabbing the tire that appeared with her other hand, Sophie gave her present best friend a small, grateful smile for his friendship before WOOSH!

They were off.

Zhenya was SUPER excited for the field trip! After meeting everyone at Hogsmeade Train Station, and locating the Professors who were running it, she ran to meet them just in time to catch the portkey. Her backpack was securely fastened on her back, with the buckle done up around her chest. She quickly grabbed hold of Mr. Kitridge's portkey, then she felt her stomach being tugged, pushing and pulling, and clenched her lips together to fight off the portkey nausea she sometimes suffered.

And Professor Airey had ice cream! Was there chocolate flavoured one? "Are you sharing with your students, Professor?" Adi asked jokingly but then shut up when the man moved to answer AJ's question. It was the way in which the question was answered that made him laugh for a bit. "I don't even think that would stop AJ from wanting to ride them, Professor.'' That girl was a WHOLE LOT adventurous. Yup. "But I'll keep an eye on her so she wouldn't be dragged to her doom.'' Just being a responsible person here.

Adi definitely did not miss the questioning look from Ethan but there was no way he could explain in detail what the situation was between him and Brooklyn so what he said quickly was, "She doesn't like me.'' And it was for that reason he enjoyed being friendly towards her even more. Hehe. Ohh fist bump! Adi wasted no time in returning that to the Snake dude. Adi grinned. "We sure can. You up for riding the monster or whatever they are just as AJ is?'' That would be one heck of an adventure, wouldn't it?

Oh? How come Brooklyn doesn't like him? What did he do? Ethan showed a confused face as he looked at his fellow fifth year, then down to the tiny red head beside him. Well, not to stereotype Slytherins, but they are the lot who are hard to please.

Given Brooklyn's personality, Adi can expect instant hostility from the adorable, tiny monster. Ethan can thank Merlin that he's on her good side. Not that he's scared of her, but he'd rather have her as a friend. Nothing beats a Snake's respect. The sixteen year old simply shrugged and grinned at Adi. Him as a Hufflepuff, he's sure that he'll take the matter lightly, and would be open to the possibility that him and Brooklyn will be friends in the future.

Riding the monster? Was it...possible? Ethan glanced at Professor Thompson, and assumed immediately that they just might be given the opportunity. As long as Professor T was around, he's game for anything. "Sure thing. Should be fun, yeah?" And it's an adventure. How can he possibly turn it down?

Why...was she looking behind her? Ethan glanced at the direction she was looking, and wondered what had happened to her prior to her arrival at the platform. He snapped out of it when she giggled though. It was the cutest thing ever! Ethan replied to her with a chuckle, and assured her that she was just on time. "I don't think we're going to use the train this time though. But...yeah, it's good to see you." Mhm. Happy Ethan right there. Who wouldn't be excited? He was going to spend a week with his crush. If everything goes well, this summer would be the best ever in years.

SPOILER!!: Henric

Ethan's eyes grew big at the sight of the younger Hufflepuff boy. "Heeeenriiic!" the Slytherin gave him a pat on the back and a 'sup nod. "Hey there, bud! Yeah, yeah. I'm good. How's your summer so far?" Everything's going well with him yeah? No trouble whatsoever? The Slytherin glanced back at Adi, and wondered about his conversation with Henric. Well, he heard the words friends, accusation, and rumor. Surely, the younger Puffer's not involved in a fight yeah? Not that it's his business, but hopefully everything's fine.

They're going on a field trip, for crying out loud. Negative vibes should be thrown out of the window.

Upon hearing Professor Thompson and Mr. Kitridge's announcement, Ethan nodded in response, and gave Henric another pat on the back. "I'll see you there, bud!" he said in parting, as he followed Josie towards the Creatures professor.

Ethan smiled as soon as he caught Josie's eyes. Was she looking for him? Hopefully she was because he's going to use the portkey with her. Yepyep. The Slytherin adjusted his backpack and looked at Josie with a grin. "Ready?" he asked. Ethan's used to side-apparating with Mordred, and his dad since the day he could walk, so he thought that portkeys wouldn't be a problem. Shouldn't be that extreme, yeah? He did however, subconsciously reached out towards Josie and held her hand. Ahem.

And where was Brooklyn? Ethan scanned the platform for the tiny person to see if she found company for herself. He didn't want to leave the little monster behind you know, and he felt responsible for her for some reason.

"It was," he nodded in reply, a tight-lipped grin forming. He would never complain about ice cream, EVER... unless it like, killed him or something. And even then it would have to be a traumatic enough experience for him to become a ghost in order to actually complain about it. Dead people said squat. "Not sure," Zeke answered honestly to Hady's followup question. "Hadn't planned much, though mum's going to take me to her work to watch an exercise or something," which would be super cool cause they were trained killers and all. He'd need an army like them one day. "The kids don't speak English much, at least not when I'm around so I don't bother with them much." And his Czech wasn't going very well. Go figure it was a lot more complicated than 'pirate' speak.

With it being his turn to listen, Zeke considered Hady's plans for the summer. They already sounded better than his - owing to the fact that she was going to QUIDDITCH CAMP!... why hadn't he thought to go to one? "Sounds fun, you'll have to tell me all about it. And I mean ALL about it." No skimping on details.

Hefting up his backpack onto his shoulder Leo moved to stand to the side as Javy had instructed. Soon enough the student’s started to move in one of the three directions. When each student with their luggage had chosen which staffer to travel with, it didn't take many minutes before the air started to shimmer and three objects appeared out of thin air and dropped to the ground. The enlarged portkeys included a black car tire, a colourful umbrella and an orange blanket. The tire landed in front of Professor Thompson’s group while Professor Flamsteed got the umbrella and Mr Kitridge got the blanket.

Unfastening his wand Leo put the sonorous spell on his voice as he urged on the students. "We must move quickly everyone! Portkeys don’t wait for stragglers! Grab on to the portkeys, if there is little room just one finger on the portkey will suffice, and whatever you do don’t lose track of your belongings."

When everyone had gotten ahold of the port keys it didn't take long before they felt that unmistable tugging sensation as the portkeys worked their strong magic. In a matter of moments the whole field trip group had been transportated across the country to their desitination.

Mr. Kitridge was right though, they wouldn't wait for anyone, so pulling Hady a little faster he closed the gap between themselves and Professor Flamsteed and his fancy umbrella.

"Hey Professor!" he beamed as he took hold of the umbrella, ready for LIFT OFF... or something of the like. This was super exciting, no? HE LOVED FIELD TRIPS! And this was bound to be better than the zoo or the natural history museum.

At the right moment, Zeke felt that familiar tugging through his navel as suddenly... WHOOOOOOOSH... they were gone.

Hearing Leo reply to her greeting she smiled turning to give the librarian her attention while she answered his question. Was she excited? Of course she was! Who wouldn't be excited to go on this trip. "Yes. Very much so!" She exclaimed happily before her gaze shifted back to her bestie in front of her.

Zeke had her undivided attention once more as he began telling her about going to work with his mom and the kids in his new neighborhood. It had to be had moving somewhere where you didn't speak the language and whatnot. She knew she wouldn't like it if she had to go through that. "What does your mom do that watching an exercise will be fun?" Hady questioned tilting her head slightly to the side curiously. It had to be something epic cause why else would he want to go? "Hmm...well are you able to speak with them at all?"

"Of course I will! The first moment I see you again at the start of the term...so you better find me when you get on the train." Hady told him with a playful teasing grin. If they didn't see one another on the train they'd certainly find each other once at the castle for the feast.

Before she was able to say anything more the announcement about the portkeys was given and she was being tugged towards Professor Flemsteed. Not that she minded at all, cause wherever Zeke was going so was she. "Am I being given a choice here?" She joked laughing lightly and squeezing his fingers as she was pulled along. Reaching the Professor Hady offered up a smile in his direction as her fingers closed over the umbrella, her other hand still firmly clasped around around Zeke's.

Hady wrinkled her nose slightly in discomfort when she felt the pull of the portkey transporting them all to where they were going. Gosh she hated this feeling!

Nothing happened here. Moving on...

"Maggie, right?" He asked just to be sure. And then, the silence. He glanced at Marigold, there was no way that this trip will be ending without him talking to her. Nope. Okay back to Maggie and Dante. "You want some?" and took out a bag of sour gummy worms. THE BEST ONES.

And after that the professors announced they were leaving. "Let's go with Flamsteed! just because. He hurried and hold onto the portkey and they were gone.

Amur eyed the boy she looked up to, both literally and figuratively, and gave him a frown. "So...that's a no."

She was talking about legitimate ID's here. The paper-plastic-imprinted stuff. Unless the Professor's didn't have them. That gave her pause. If the Professor's didn't have them at school, then how did anyone know that was actually who they were? For a moment, she simply stared at Zander, deer-in-headlights-eyes wide.

Perhaps he was right though. She knew Professor Flamsteed because he was being....well...Flamsteedish. It was impossible to impersonate. Anyone who tried would fail, so utterly miserably. So, maybe the other Professor's were the same? Amur eyed them. They didn't seem as quirky, but then, she hadn't spent as much time with them as Zander had.

Her eyes roaved the rest of the kids, catching Puck's greeting. She returned her own in an absent wave as her gaze moved on. No one else looked concerned. Everyone else looked...comfortable. So, then maybe it was okay?

"Alright...." She conceeeded. She'd have to find him a word though, to which he could pull his wand out faster than. Because if it was something like 'cat' or 'yup' or 'bogey' they were all in a lot of trouble. Not that she didn't trust Zander's skills, it was just that those words were fast and well...she wasn't sure he was quite that fast...not yet.

Hitching her bag up on her shoulders, Amur's eyes widened even more as the portkeys appeared. So, they were to split up? Yeaahhh why couldn't they just use one big portkey. Like a boat? Or...maybe the train? Maybe....not.

She was decided, and needed no encouragement. "I'm going with Flamsteed."

And before Zander could say 'spittle' she was off to the umbrella, gripping it tight. At least, this way, if the other Professor's turned out to be something they weren't, one of their group of three, the girl with Zander included, would be able to go and find the others. She barely recognized Zeke and Hady alongside her before POOF, they were gone.

Well at least more people he knew where showing up. Hugo being the one to make this trip more fun than it already is. "Hey! and yeah. My first time going to Loch. Feels like an adventure. Minus the school trip part and the professors" It could not be perfect. And He did not know if he had to do introductions since all there here were third year slytherins. Oh, well Dante did not know what to say. Dante thought they would have to do some swimming during this trip. Or not who knows. Professor Airey is on the trip. And something also happens when he is involved. He answered in a whisper tp Maggie. "You might be able to ask a Professor to put a spell on you so you don't get wet" If that was the problem.

Probably not, but that was all he had.

"Now that will be the day when i am looking down on you. But until that day. I am looking up to you." Literally and the other one. He knew it ended in ly. But yeah. And he hoped it would be fun as Ethan says because it could always turn boring with lectures and history stuff. "Hope so" And Well Dante would not call it marvelous. Maybe cool or alright. As Ethan had started talking again, Brooklyn had given his words a sharp glance. There would be no trimming of her hair because of people messing with it, especially not now she knew he couldn’t be trusted with that. With braiding, that was. It hadn’t ruined her opinion entirely though. His curiosity was weird however, but she answered his question. “My mama did it, so it wouldn’t be in the way during the trip…” She’d trailed off as he’d suddenly started repeating her name, as if something had happened, or he was suddenly feeling the need to memorize it. It was all weird, and she’d taken a tiny step away as whatever he’d been doing came to a conclusion. Oh. He knew her? Of course. “She’s my sister.” Not that she cared to think about that very much. At the very least, she hoped it meant her attempt at escaping all the talk about Lily and getting married wasn’t going to fail miserably. Just because he knew her, or of her anyway, didn’t mean he knew that. Hopefully.

People were assuming things right and left apparently. Mr. Kitridge got a bit of a look in response to his comment about her showing people how to camp in tents. Yeah, no. There were people here she felt could figure that out on their own. Mhm. Like Adi, who apparently had decided she didn’t like her, and that comment got another look. She preferred not thinking about him, honestly, which meant she didn’t care either way. She just didn’t want him getting ideas she liked hugs, but then, she wasn’t explaining that to Ethan. Who had been the one who had asked in the first place, it seemed. Oh well.

She decided she could maybe help the Ravenclaw who had gotten the amusing worry out of Ethan though. (She’d heard his worried question to the Gryffindor boy after all, and she hadn’t done anything yet to deserve her animosity.)

And Ethan had followed the Claw girl over to Professor Thompson, so Brooklyn had followed. He obviously felt the need to watch over her or something, and she didn’t mind him, so she wasn’t going to refuse. Plus, it wasn’t the professor Adi had chosen, so more distance. Even if they were all going to the same place, as she’d placed her hand on the tire and waited for the pulling sensation of the portkey.

The remaining ice cream nearly melted entirely, the professor eagerly took the umbrella from Leobald. He was tempted to just burst into song - there were so many options with the word 'umbrella' in them - but refrained. Mostly because there were students moving about to grab hold and it would be a safety risk to be so...animated while preparing for travel.

"Alright everyone, firm a grip as you can muster," he instructed, bits of strawberry space ice cream flying from his mouth.

And then....a nauseating feeling took over his entire being. While usually able to travel by portkey with little fuss....it had be incredibly unwise to eat two packets of ice cream.

Uh oh.

Yeah, that's how Heather was deciding which group to go with after eliminating Professor Flamsteed for obvious, ice cream related reasons. It may have been a little childish, but it was a pinch situation. And Mr. Kitridge was it. Heather hurried forward and grabbed ahold of the orange blanket before feeling the tugging behind her belly button that meant that the portkey was working.

SPOILER!!: Chloe

Waiting until it was time to go, Brynn looked around a bit for any familiar faces or anyone else just arriving. She was remotely curious to know who all might be there on the week-long field trip, or who might be her bunk mate. They were staying in cabins or something, weren't they? Lost in her thoughts just a bit, she glanced over to see a familiar redhead. "Hey Chloe!" She didn't know she was going to be on this trip. "How's your summer been going?" It felt like it had just started for Brynn, though she supposed once this trip was over, then she had her music camp, then it would be time to start school again.

SPOILER!!: Flamsteed

Hearing the very loud voice of their Astronomy professor, Brynn couldn't help but turn her head to see Flamsteed arriving as well. Another she didn't realize was coming along, was it just the three staff people then? The nearly fifteen year old thought that was plenty anyway, else it'd be just like being back at school. "Hi, Professor," she greeted back softly with a small smile which promptly fell at his next words. "Wait.. we don't have to swim, right?" she said to no one really in particular. Like, no.. she wasn't going to.

SPOILER!!: Bart

Swimming had to be optional, she was sure of it. Still, she could help that knot forming at the bottom of her stomach. She tried to push the thought out of her mind and smiled back at Bart as he noticed her standing not far from him. "Oh, is it an adventure?" she grinned, finding that word kind of funny at least coming from him. Maybe not from an overly-excited first year.. though maybe he was being somewhat tongue-in-cheek about it. She could see that. "Anyway, I think it'll be fun. Maybe we'll find something cool.." Exactly what, she didn't know.. Wasn't like they were that far from school either.

SPOILER!!: Josie

Brynn returned Josie's smile, equally happy that her dormmate was going on the trip with them as well. "Yeah, I think we'll have fun, don't you?" It was nice that she had a few friends going so she wouldn't feel awkward and out of place.. maybe that was where her earlier anxiety had come from. That and the swimming thing which she was totally putting out of her mind. "Any idea what we're going to do?"

SPOILER!!: Kitridge

Brynn gave Mr. Kitridge a slightly dimmer smile in return, more out of anxious anticipation than anything else, and she nodded at his words. Yep, she had her bag with her and she patted it to make that point. She wouldn't be losing it. The redhead watched as the portkeys appeared in front of each of the staff and she looked up as Mr. Kitridge spoke. She figured she'd stick with the librarian as he was her Head of House and everything, so she took a few steps that way. Being the first time she had ever used a portkey, the nearly 15 year old was hesitant, but she soon reached into the small crowd around the blanket and touched it, feeling a strange pull at her navel as she was transported.

Break? Dexter looked from Kitridge to the bag again as he considered that. Had he packed anything breakable? Well... yes, but that was because HE had the talent of breaking ANYTHING. So it was no big. "Nah, it's all good, sir." ALL GOOD.

Mhmm, yeah. Dexter's eyes flitted down for a split second in time see Eden and Cole hold hands. Dexter still wasn't TOO sure about Eden in some ways, because seeing his brother all upset had stuck in his mind for a while. But he didn't really know the details of... well, anything that had happened. He pretended he didn't notice any hand-holing and gave a shrug in response to her question, partly because he could tell it was mostly to Cole and all.

This felt awkward as heck. Chilling with his brother and his brother's... not-girlfriend(?) especially after everything that had happened. Not that Dexter would have found it such a big deal, but he was getting a vibe, okay? An awkward vibe AND a third wheel vibe. Which... y'know, wasn't a great feeling, but he was at least trying to avoid showing it.

"It's nice to see you too, Eden," he replied, a little uneasy that they'd already gone back to formalities. Merlin. Hopefully they could move along soon. More shrugging at Cole's question. "Don't have a clue. Just something about... exploring." How much of Scotland WAS there that was left to explore, though?

Dexter opened his mouth to say something else then, but all of a sudden everyone seemed to be getting into action. Because... LEAVING. They were leeeeeaviiiiiing. Dexter hoisted his bag up onto his back and instantly gravitated towards the librarian, as he'd already shared a few words with him today, and he was a pretty cool guy for a dude that spent all his time with books.

The littlest Upstead glanced around to check that the other two were still nearby, and by the time he looked back again, there was an ugly orange blanket portkey that everyone in the group was reaching for. Dexter did the same, grabbing a frayed edge of lurid orange material with plenty of time left to spare before it transported them away.

Planning seemed to be going well on Flamsteed's part. Was she supposed to be working on something for that? She would have to talk to him later. For now, she was going to join Mr. Kitridge's group. Penelope grabbed on to the orange blanket, tightly gripping it. There was no way that she was going to let go of this before they arrived at their destination. At least she wasn't with Professor Flamsteed's group. The risk of her being injured would be much higher if she was traveling with him.

Pulling up at the last minute was Cutty Mordaunt, who quickly surveyed the scene. The assemblage of Hogwarts staff and students were breaking off, naturally separating into groups of three and he wouldn't have been the son of a portkey assistant if he didn't know how to recognize one by their throw-away appearance and the cautious way in which they were treated. Cutty made his way for the one nearest him, and touched a finger to the raggedy blanket then was towed away by the magic along with everyone else in the group.

He hoped to Merlin in Avalon that he'd not be obligated to stay with the group once they anchored.

Leah was here... just watching her friends chatting but not joining in herself. Not yet, anyway. It was nice to be quiet for a change. They were going to be leaving soon! Portkey travelling was not really fun. But then, what Wizarding transportation was pleasant except flying? She swung her bag over her shoulder and got ready to grab a Portkey.

Even though it absolutely did not matter, she could not help but observe the three items for a moment. The blanket looked comfortable, so the Hufflepuff joined the Librarian and his group. She stuck a finger into a corner of the orange blanket and felt the strange tugging feeling as she disappeared with her group towards who knows where.

Text Cut: Hugo and Dante

Yes, it was. The fact that he knew her name definitely earned him a couple brownie points. Even though she never ate brownies. Or made them. Why on Earth were they called brownie points? She could call them strawberry points maybe. THAT was something she could actually offer them. Hmm.

ASK a professor if they could keep her dry with a spell? "I know the impervius charm!" Maggie stated with a firm nod. (Thank you, Dima.) Not that she'd thought of using it on herself. Or WOULD ever use it on herself. What if something went wrong and she like....got pimples on her face instead or something.

THE HORROR!!!

And then all of a sudden Hugo was offering candy to which she shook her head, wrinkling her nose slightly at the smell. Nope. No worms for her, thank you very much. Instead she started looking through her bag for an apple she had brought but was interrupted when the boys walked off to.....Flamsteed.

Really? REALLY?

Okay. So that's where she was going too now, obviously. She wasn't going to travel with some random students. Oh look. Hady and her Gryffindor friend was on their travel group too. Lovely. Only not really for some reason. Why was she in a bad mood all of a sudden? Either way, Maggie moved over to the Astronomy professor and held onto the portkey thing.

Why couldn't they have just taken a plane like normal people?
