Located on the South side of Diagon Alley in London, past a number of other shops you notice a quaint building. It is a café in this fairly busy part of section. What makes this different from the other shops? Their logo for one, resembling a wispy stag that moves every now and then in the window, illuminating from a quite distance in the evenings. One can't help but chance a glance as they pass by.
Approaching the café you get a large sense of security as a warm haze falls over you upon entry. There were tables outside the place, where diners could have their meals and chat among themselves as well as indoors. Heading on the inside you are greeted with the sight of many Patronuses floating throughout the walls behind the other stag logos of the café. The flooring a pleasant velvet red, further emphasizing the pleasant warmth one would experience whether for a quick stop or a romantic scenery.
Floating around you see the wispy forms moving around the walls featuring creatures such as phoenixes, zebras, otters, horses and many other magical creatures. Perhaps your own will join the walls if you stay long enough? The tables are compact and decorated with candles that automatically light up keeping the darkness at bay. Along with additional small booths near the back for more privacy. The Menu illuminates right behind the counter as you approach to order. As soon as you sit, you can't help but feel as if you're right at home.

She was not exactly the touchy feely sort, but she certainly could appreciate a good hug when she received one and he just so happened to give pretty good ones. "Ugh, selfish jerk," she teased, not even remotely meaning the words as she gave him one more quick but hearty squeeze before letting him go entirely so she could slide into her seat.
"Um...fine. Restless if anything," she lamented before picking up her own drink and tipping it towards him in 'cheers' and taking a small sip. "It's like Atlantis has some pervasive Stockholm syndrome hold over me. I think you're one of the only people I can admit this to but...I miss it down there." Well, him and Eros mostly. She dare not ever mention such sentiments to Jacob who she could only imagine would lose his cool. Maybe Regina as well...who had really gone through the thick of it topside with having both family and friends as part of the hostage situation. "At least I get to still help out with diplomacy between the Ministry and Atlantis." Another heavy sigh as she took another sip and then set her drink down. "But enough of the woe is me treatment. What is new with yooooou?"
She had he suspicions but, well, she could play coy.
"Restless?" Gabriel took a sip of his coffee. "You're welcome to come running with me if you need to burn some extra energy," he volunteered, not mentioning that he had a regular running buddy. One could never have too many running buddies. He nodded thoughtfully as she elaborated. Missing Atlantis was.....not how he would have put it, exactly, but he could see where she was coming from. Their return had been stressful. Happy, sure, but having to deal with months' worth of missed work, social happenings, and trying to catch up had been difficult. He was just grateful his family and Brody had kept his flat from getting too dusty, and kept his plants alive.
Plus, he was just really glad to be back with his extensive social circle. And Brody, mostly Brody. He beamed as Joana turned the conversation over to him and his life. There was no point in delaying the news, he was too thrilled about it and he wanted to tell Joana. That's why they were here, after all. "Oh, me?" he said. "Well, I've been busy wedding planning." Yes, they'd started planning the wedding. His wedding. To Brody. He tried to take a sip of his drink and had to put it down, he was smiling too widely to do anything else right now.

Scary, that title made him feel older.
He stood, in fourth position, as he eyed the menu.
Minjae had jumped at the opportunity to meet his friend after having learned that he would be in the UK for a short time. He chose this time and place because it was where he worked part-time. And his shift had just ended when he discovered Noah step into the building.
He quietly announced to his coworkers that he'd be having a cup of coffee before leaving and stepped towards the line with his apron still around his slim waist, and stood next to Noah.
"Hey man, nice to see you again." he said as he subtly handed him a 'free coffee coupon'. Of course, he didn't want other customers to know he was giving them away. He reached behind him and untied the apron before he neatly placed it on his arm and pointed to an area with his free hand. It was mostly deserted at this time of day. "Let's sit over there when you get your coffee. I already have mine"

When Noah saw Minjae next to him, an easy grin came to his lips and the smile touched his eyes. Genuinely happy, he was to see his best mate. “Great to see you too, man,” he grinned as he took the subtly handed coupon. “Oh, thanks dude.”
He went up to the counter to order a cappuccino. The coffee was promptly ready and then he carefully picked it up to look for Minjae.
Ah, found him.
Coffee in hand, he went over to where his mate was before putting his coffee on the table. Once it was down, he extended his hand towards his mate to pull him into a bro hug/embrace/greeting (the RPER wasn’t sure of the name to describe said action at the moment). “So good to see you. What’s new?”

Rubbing a hand across his face, he leant back in his chair to read what he had written so far.
When the shadow fell over his table, he was distracted from mentally tearing his work apart. Which was probably for the best, as he was often his own worst critic. But looking up, he offered a small, sheepish smile at the girl who looked an awful lot like one of Florrie's friends.
Not that he was going to say anything, though - no, Olivier was far to awkward to acknowledge the fact, just in case it wasn't Florrie's friend. Or, in case it was, and she thought him bringing it up was just weird. Which would be totally valid, and he was absolutely not overthinking. So, instead, he just offered a small smile back, and returned his gaze to the papers before him, closing one of the heavy books with a thump. "It's less than it looks," he admitted. "But it's just coursework."
It was when he raised his head that Ivy finally realized why he had looked familiar, and her smile brightened. "Oh, Olivier! Hi!" She did not know him very well outside of being Florrie's brother and a friend of Misa, but even so, she rarely forgot a face. Or at least, she tried not to, and she succeeded most of the time. Remembering faces and names had seemed like a useful skill to develop over the years regardless of her future career, but especially so now that she'd decided on journalism. Plus, it usually made people feel better when they were remembered. That was important too.
"What're you studying?" She glanced at the book that he closed, but the words were upside down from the angle she was standing at, so she averted her eyes back to him.

It would be a nice addition to her routine and help her keep that social gauge at the level it needed to be. She did tend to overexert herself and that often meant working in isolation to keep up with all the paperwork and essential tasks which then meant that her social battery never got to properly charge in the ways she needed it to. It was all a vicious cycle really. Unfair. Someone ought to make more hours in a day so she could fit more in. "Do mornings work? I like to get a jog in before starting my shift. Or I suppose night runs could work too. Those are really nice and a different kind of quiet. Would Wednedays work?"
Of course she was picking up what Gabriel was putting down, but she couldn't help but poke a little fun at him first. "Oh? I did not know you had added wedding planner to your resume," she said while nonchalantly taking a sip from her pleasantly lukewarm drink. Even if she had not already pieced together his actual meaning, the way his face was erupting with glee was a very obvious give. Fret not, proper gushing and celebratory gestures would follow soon enough.

While Noah waited in line to order coffee, Minjae headed to the back of the room to put his apron away and change into something more comfortable.
Now dressed in a simple dark blue hoodie and black pants, he noticed that his friend was still in line and decided to take a seat as he waited for him. The hot chocolate he had requested from a coworker was already on the table, and he made a mental note to thank her later.
As Noah approached their table, Minjae smiled as he accepted the extended hand. The former Hufflepuff, expecting a normal handshake rather than an embrace, stumbled a bit "Yes, you too" he said, adjusting his hoodie as he sat down on the chair.
What's new? So much! He had no idea where to begin! "Well, for starters, I got a job," he grinned, holding up his hands as if to say 'right here'. "I mean, it's nothing fancy..." He was becoming self-conscious now that his smarter friend was seated right in front of him.
"Man, my job is so lame compared to what you are studying for" he sighed heavily as he picked up his hot chocolate mug and leaned back in his seat. Truth be told, he didn't need a job. He was financially secure, but it didn't feel right to him to have money without doing anything for it. And he didn't keep the money to himself but instead donated most of it to charities. Mentioning this felt self-centered though.
"How is your residency going? When do I start referring to you as Dr. Nam?" he grinned. "Or do Healers not have the Doctor title?"
Joana smiled wide and bounced a few times in her seat, already accepting his offer nonverbally. "I'd really like that." A new running buddy! If Gabriel hadn't already been near-to-bursting with happiness, that would have given him a smile. As it was, he nodded eagerly. "Mornings are fine. My schedule varies sometimes..." Depending on whatever was his active investigation. "I can do most Wednesday mornings, though, I think." And it wasn't like he'd have any trouble getting ahold of Joana if his schedule didn't permit it one week. "It's safer in the morning," he said. Not that he couldn't protect them both if something came up but...why put his friend in unnecessary danger?
He could not, would not, did not believe that Joana didn't know what he meant. Rolling his eyes good-naturedly, he shrugged. "I'm not adding anything to my resume," he said. Though he supposed if he changed his name, that would need to be reflected eventually. "I asked Brody to marry me," he added, finally just telling it... like it was. Speaking plainly. Sharing the most wonderful, amazing, fantastic news he thought he'd ever have. He still couldn't believe it sometimes.

It was rather silly that they had not already established this running buddy thing above land. Better late than never, she supposed. His insistence on it being safer in the morning was an interesting point to make and elicited a small laugh from Joana. As someone who loved rock climbing and particularly the thrill of solo climbing, she found the thought of jogging down and along streets in the dark quite humorous. Plus, she was also perfectly capable of taking care of herself - no protection needed, Gabriel. Thankfully none of that was specifically mentioned, so he avoided a mild reproach. "Wednesday mornings it is then," she beamed and with a double thumbs up.
Hands settling back on to her mug, entirely too pleased with herself because, yes, she did know precisely what he was alluding to. "Congratulations. For real. I'm half surprised I didn't hear about this a week or even a day after we all got back from Atlantis." Again, she could not help but poke at him just a bit - her love language of sorts one could argue. "What date did you two love birds decide on?"

Some habits never died.
In this case, it was Claudine and her love for caramelattes and sketching. Caramelattes were actually one of the reasons she ended up here at the Espresso Patronum. The much bigger and more important one was because she was here to meet someone dear to her; someone whom she hadn’t seen in a while because life happened. However, Claudine had made sure to set aside the entire day so that she and Ashley could hang out for as long as her friend wanted. A day off out of her third year at University wouldn’t kill her. Claudine just hoped that there would be no bumping into her family while here. As far as she was concerned, the young woman still wanted absolutely nothing to do with them.
A cup of caramelatte beside her {with a bit of rim lined with her usual strawberry lip gloss since sips had been taken}, the Magizoologist major worked on sketching the details to a kelpie in her sketchpad. In keeping with her tradition, this sketchpad was fairly new; it represented her third year at the University in Montreal, Canada. It marked her tenth sketchpad overall {seven from her Hogwarts years}.
Ash did not have a university life to occupy her time. But she'd certainly been busy, and life really HAD gotten in the way. She couldn't blame Claudine for being busy too. She was just so glad to see her sort-of-older-sister again. Ash had changed in the past year- she looked more than a little worse for wear, and she'd only gotten more scattered with time. And she had a fifth tattoo, not that Claudine could tell. But she was still the same old Ashley. So of course when she entered the cafe, and saw Claudine sketching, the first thing she did upon coming over was peek at the work. "Hi Claudine... ooh. I like it." She gave the older girl a little smile.
Then, since it had been such a long time, she stood there sort of awkwardly, hoping Claudine would tell her if they were hugging or if she should order a drink or if they should just sit and talk already. "I've missed you so much."

Truthfully, Claudine had gotten somewhat wrapped up in her sketching, completely forgetting where she was or who she was waiting on. This was nothing new; it was why there was a sudden quick shift in movement when she heard her name. Lifting her head, the reality of why she was sitting at the Espresso Patronum hit her because…”Ash!” Claudine launched herself off of her seat to pull the other girl into a bone-crushing hug. “Hi! Goodness, I’ve missed you!’’ There was more squishing before Claudine finally released her.
“Would you like to order first? I wasn’t sure how long it would have taken you to get here so I didn’t get you anything but it’s all my treat today, okay?” It only just then hit her that there had been a compliment for her sketch. “Thank you,’’ Claudine replied, gesturing at the page. “We have loads to catch up on. You need to tell me every detail of what’s been happening with you.”
Ash squeaked at the hug, finding herself instantly squished too tight to move. Had Claudine always been a hugger? Ash liked it. Even though she was being crushed. It made her feel all warm and fuzzy and happy. She was happy. Hugs were so safe... mmm. She was content to stay there until Claudine let go. "Yes, please." The marble in her pocket was telling her she needed to eat or drink something. "You don't have to pay," Ash protested weakly, feeling like Claudine had probably made up her mind already. She had to let Ash pay next time!
oh, every detail... Ash didn't know about that. "um, well. I got a boyfriend, I got an apartment- I should show it to you sometime- my family life has deteriorated quickly, and my plans for the future are very slow but I think they're finally happening." VERY slowly. "So, you know, I've been pretty good." Even if she didn't look the part. Things were okay. "Tell me about what you've been doing?"
...
"Oh! I got another tattoo. And my brother started Hogwarts. That's about it." All of her life updates had been said, small and big and happy and sad. She rested her face in her palm, looking rather tired. That was a lot of updates.

Charlie smiled and jumped up once he had his drink and food on the table. She wrapped her arms around his ribs and placed her head on his chest. There were muscles there she didn't remember, but she absolutely remembered how comforting it was to be in this exact place. Cooper was one of the most comforting people she knew and she loved getting hugs from him. How many times had he comforted her at Hogwarts? She squeezed him hard before stepping back a bit.
"Oh good, I thought that was you I saw over there a while ago." She blushed as he asked if she was over at Malkin's. "I am. I've been there a while now it seems. I absolutely love it there." Had he been wondering about her the same way she had been wondering about him? She had a thing for Cooper but was way too afraid to tell him like ever. So much for cool.

No, not at all. Claudine had always despised anyone getting into her personal space but over the years that had changed a bit. Now, it was only those whom she loved with all her heart did she tackle and shower this much physical affection upon. The young woman huffed with a smile. “I don’t have to but I would like to.” Oh yes, she knew Ash was independent but even the most independent of persons needed to put that on the back burner on occasions. This was something that Heath had taught her.
Now, if there was one of the main things Claudine and Ash had in common, it was the turbulent relationship they shared with their respective families. Perhaps this was why she honed in on the family issue first. “What’s up with your family?” Already Claudine was bracing herself for the news. Family was just… complicated. “And tell me all about your beau! Have you got any pictures of your apartment you can show me?” Poor Ash. She looked so tired. Claudine reached out to rub Ash’s shoulder understandingly. “I’m happy to hear that your plans are falling into place. You can always count on me if you need any help.” Wait. Brandon had already reached eleven? How did the time go by so quickly? “It’s just too bad the timing worked out so that you’ve graduated when he’s only just started. But I’m sure he’ll have a good time because Hogwarts seems to be safer these days.” No Rosier, no violent plants. “Oh yeah?” She was grinning. “What did you get?”
Oh, her own life? “There’s nothing much happening right now aside from University. Just one more year until Heath and I graduate then we plan to move back here to the UK. Canada’s really nice, and the change of scenery did wonders for me after all that stuff at Hogwarts. I think I’ll apply to both at the Scamander Zoo and as a correspondent for the Daily Prophet. Their Magical Creature column is quite something.”

"Well... I'll pay next time we go somewhere, then." She was certain that there would be a next time- if Ash was around, then surely Claudine would be too, and then there was no reason not to meet up. "My stepmother and both of my half-brothers are living together because Brandon and my Father... don't interact. Only Brandon doesn't like her either. And I obviously can't take care of my brother, I'm too... I'm not really a proper adult." She sighed. "I wish Brandon would let our stepmother take care of him. He's acting like his own adult and trying to be all independent, but he's a kid." It ran in the family, she supposed. "So that's my family." She chose not to ask about Claudine's family, figuring that Claudine wouldn't want to.
"One time I painted my boyfriend sitting in my apartment. Would that work for both? And I could show you pictures on my phone." She accepted the shoulder rub, relaxing a little. She knew she could count on Claudine, she just hoped she wouldn't need to. "I put half of Hufflepuff up to making sure Brandon's doing alright. He has people." Just because she wasn't at Hogwarts didn't mean she couldn't look after her little brother. She could, and she did. "My new tattoo is a watercolor bouquet of flowers on my shoulder!" As always, she smiled when talking about her tattoos.
Ash listened to Claudine talk about school and life. "If and when you move back, you and Heath can come over to my place all the time. Do you prefer one of those potential jobs over the other?"

He had been told that he gave fantastic hugs, which was something he was quite proud of, so he had no problem in holding her just a little more tighter since it seemed that she was in the mood for that sort of embrace. Though just not too hard since he did know his own strength had evolved quite a bit. He could still give Mercer long piggybacks, after all. Speaking of his brother, he owed the kid a letter. If only he knew what sort of advice to give him.
"Yup, probably me," he chuckled while settling into his seat proper and collected a few sprouts that had fallen off his Veggie Fidelius Flatbread which he then promptly popped into his mouth. "I honestly had not expected myself to end up there but...considering what all I had on my resume it makes sense." He had, sort of, been hoping to land a gig at the Daily Prophet as a photographer just so he could do more with his passion than take photographs for the Benoit family but...it was fine. He took photos at the menagerie for advertisements and other minor things so it wasn't like he was sleeping on his talents. "That's great. You look really happy. A flower about to blossom."
A bud because, well, to say she was already blossoming would mean that she had already reached her peak...which would be a bit premature.

It really had fallen low on Gabriel's priority list to find a running buddy. He had a wedding to plan, after all. "Wednesdays, good," he said simply. He would do his best to be reliable, for Joana, despite not having the best track record in reliability. Well, it was better since he'd met Brody. Maybe adulthood made him more reliable.
"November ninth," he said, leaning back in his chair to stretch. Maybe if he stretched his arms, his face would relax and he could just take a drink of his beverage. "I...and then we...had to get things, um, organized, first," he said, shrugging off the delay. Really, he'd had to find a ring...and then Brody had had to find him a ring, and they'd had to tell their families, and pick a day. Plus, he hadn't wanted to do anything impulsive. Brody deserved better than impulsivity. "I hope you can come," he added. Obviously she and nearly everyone else he knew would be getting an invitation, but the sooner she knew not to make other plans, the better, in Gabriel's opinion.

As a woman who appreciated and held punctuality to the highest regard, it was a given that she would quite literally go to his place and make sure he was up and ready. Probably give him a ten minute curtesy window before she was knocking on his door and just all in all being a helpful friend.
She was immediately pulling out her phone, the one she had finally gotten back once Regina had taken it out of socialization and fun times prison (meaning that it was locked up while Regina took Joana out on the town and inflicted nonwork related things on her like the clubs), and opened up her calendar. "A Saturday," she hummed while wiggling in her seat a bit. "And done." She even leaned forward and showed him the screen in which she had inserted his wedding by way of emojis only. She found them quite fascinating and fun to record things using them.

Oli let out a sigh of relief when the girl said his name, meaning his instinct had been correct. "Ivy," he added, smiling a little wider in response. "Hi." Knowing that, not only had he been right that this was Florrie's and Misa's friend, but that she remembered him was a great feeling, a little warm bubble in his chest. Though he didn't mind, he often felt like a side character in his sisters life, and it was reassuring to know he's made any impact, however small.
"Business management," Olivier said, closing another book. "This module is International Trade." And whilst it was really interesting, the amount of work he was doing for it was... Well, a lot was an understatement. "Would you like to sit?" As he spoke, he started tidying away some of his things to make room, before the second thought entered his mind, "If you want, if you're not... meeting someone or - I mean, you can just not want to." He let out the last in a bit of a rush, cheeks pinking at the fact he'd assumed she'd even want to.

Ash had better be around, this was all Claudine was saying. The other girl was one of the most important persons in her life, and Merlin knew that Claudine was careful about whom she called her own. “Deal!” There was nothing like treating each other to strengthen a friendship. She settled back, listening to Ash’s plight. “That’s a lot.’’ C picked up her pencil to tap on the table by the eraser end. “The upside to Brandon heading off to Hogwarts is that he’ll make some friends and not have to worry about his parents.” There was a firm shake of her head. “Oh, Ash. You’re improving. You’re doing your best, I see that. Are you considering having him live with you at some point though?
“Hm.” She pretended to mull over the question for a bit before agreeing. “Yes. Perfect.” There was no doubt in her mind that Ash had chosen something lively, something that matched her personality perfectly. C laughed. “There is no better House to ask to watch over him than Hufflepuffs.” C hadn’t cared about Puffs for much of her Hogwarts life though. “A bouquet! Love it already! What inspired it?”
Claudine smiled widely at that. “Are you certain you won’t tire of us?” This was a question she had not considered before. “No….” Then she shook her head with more conviction. “I want both equally since I can definitely do a bit of good for creatures.”

"Yes, I've been told that he's been doing very well at Hogwarts. His two best friends are in his house." Honestly, seeing her baby brother all grown up and apparently thriving at Hogwarts (of all places!) made her heart ache a little. When had he gotten older? When had he stopped needing her all the time? Oh... but it was good that he was away from home and happy. She was happy for him (but she missed him too). "I appreciate your confidence in me," she said quietly, melting. She did. It was very important to be confident, but sometimes it had to be shown by someone else too. "I doubt my brother will ever live with me. He'd have to be like... sixteen. Or an adult. Because I'm not his parent and he'd probably need to be responsible for himself." And she wouldn't be having her own kids either, at least not until she was much older because she was very worried that she wouldn't be a good mother.
She pulled out her phone, happily subjecting Claudine to pictures of her boyfriend and her apartment. "You'd absolutely love my place. I have art everywhere. And flowers. And an art studio. And... multiple guest bedrooms. And three pets." Yes, this was another hint that Claudine should visit sometime. And Ash was trying to be subtle but she was NOT subtle at all because she didn't know how to be. She missed having frequent Claudine time(but not The Room, of course). "I'd never tire of you OR Heath. You're my favorites for sure and I always feel better around you." Visit pls.
"Hufflepuffs are great," she said, blushing a little. She was thinking about Jude and the other Hufflepuffs who watched her brother, of course. Obviously. "In my last year of Hogwarts, we all got these crazy powers and my power was to grow flowers everywhere I went. It was frustrating at times, but it was also very beautiful and I think about it often." She had a picture of her tattoo, which she showed to Claudine. "Tada! I helped design it."
Aria still wasn't used to being a graduate it felt surreal and like she was still a Hogwarts student. The former Hufflepuff bit her lip in deep thoughts, sure she started Uni at London but she was still determining if she wanted to do magical creatures or plants surely there is something for both right? As of right now, she needed a break from the college life and enjoy some time to herself, with the holidays around the corner she needed to get the last bit of her Christmas presents done. Christmas was her favorite time of the year, she just loved the snow it was so magical. She was excited for Christmas, going back home for the holidays is exactly what she needed to calm her home sickness and no longer a Hogwarts student feeling.
Walking into the cafe she smiled at the patronuses lingering around the place, she loved this place not only because the hot chocolate and chocolate croissants were good, but the warm atmosphere it brought. Smiling to herself she walked into the cafe taking a seat by the window watching the snow and Patronuses zoom by her. She loved how people had unique Patronuses that showed them what they were, it amazed her seeing the different creatures each person casted. Hers was simply a wolf, she guess it was because she was fierce and protective of her family. Drinking her hot chocolate she wondered if her patronus would show up soon enough, she heard that it does the longer you stay but she never stayed long enough to find out.

"A Saturday," Gabriel agreed, smiling again. It felt like the furthest possible date away, and yet also way too soon. There was so much to do before then. He raised an eyebrow as he caught sight of her emoji-filled calendar. That seemed like overkill, as he wasn't a big emoji person himself. Words usually sufficed. Maybe the occasional voice note.
"If that's how you're putting my wedding in your calendar, what would you do for your own?" he asked curiously. There had to be levels of excitement, in his opinion. Did Joana have even more levels of excitement?

“Then you definitely need not worry. I guess the same sentiments apply when it comes to siblings as well? You just have to let them go and trust that they’ll be fine. Even if they’re not, you hope they learn from their experiences.” Claudine carefully kept any emotion out of her voice that would indicate she missed her own sister, Florence. As for that confidence, Claudine would always have it. After all, she had watched her friend develop for the better over the years. “Wouldn’t you have to be the one who’s of age for him to live with you?” she asked curiously. Well, Ash was already of age so mainly it would be up to Brandon to make his decision?
The older girl checked out each photo with great care. “Your boyfriend’s so handsome. What a score, Ash!” Giggling, she admired the apartment. “The place sounds huge. You had me at art and studio though.” Of course she would like to one day admire those in person. “What pets do you have?” It was very clear to Claudine, the heavy hints Ash was throwing. “Okay, okay,’’ she began amidst some chuckling. “We’ll be there. When works for you? Weekends?” Thank Merlin for Apparation! It made travellling such a breeze.
Those powers… Claudine had heard of them and secretly thought they were much better than all the dangerous shenanigans that usually occurred at Hogwarts. “I absolutely love it! The inspiration, the fact that you helped with the designing… all of it! Do you miss your powers though?” It sounded lovely.

He had mixed feelings about no longer being at Hogwarts. It hadn't taken long for him to realize how much he missed the castle and seeing friends on a daily basis. Life had been so simple then. University life was welcomed nevertheless. It meant he wasn't restricted by hundreds of rules, spending all day in classes, or being watched like a hawk by professors. There was a lot of freedom now. Though perhaps there was too much freedom because he still had no clue what he was going to do with his life.
Such thoughts were on Gabriel Diggle's mind as he stepped inside the café. He figured he'd mull over possible majors and career paths over a cup of coffee and enjoy a bite to eat. He'd maybe do a little Christmas shopping after to keep him busy until it was time to head back to the university.
After receiving his order, an espresso and a ham and chimera-spiced chutney sandwich, Gabe meandered over to the window, took an available seat, and unwrapped his sandwich. His brown eyes watching the snow fall and people pass by as he took a bite. Eventually he did a double take, seeing the reflection of a familiar face. He turned his head to the side, taking in the sight of the former housemate sitting a few spots down. "Aria?"
