It was the middle of the year, in the newly opened and magical international school, and a group of picked students were offered the chance - the chance of a lifetime, mind I add - to go to Egypt to study for a semester. The students agree to the "study abroad" and were immediately packed and whisked away to Egypt.

They arrived in the newly renovated town - a town that was built on the ancient city of Hamunpatra, or, as you may know it, the city of the Dead. The students are psyched to get started exploring the tombs, and they instantly get to work.

However, during a sandstorm, a tomb was uncovered. The Tomb of Anubis. People thought Anubis was a god, but in fact, they didn’t know he actually walked on the earth, once, many thousands of years before.

The group of students eagerly enter the tomb, excited that they found what they thought was a tomb that never existed, they set to work, exploring the many rooms of the maze of the tomb.

They soon find, however, a book of hieroglyphics, which fortunately, one of the students could translate. What did the student translate? Why, "The Book of the Dead".

The students go back to the inn they were staying at, talking about what happened that day, vowing they wouldn’t tell anyone what they found unless they were certain it was the God’s tomb. They all agreed happily, then continued their conversation.

But for the next few days, odd things were happening. The students find out that they can’t use magic anymore, and horrible things kept happening to the locals. In a desperate attempt to find out what was happening, one of the students did some research, and came up with a theory. The Ten Plagues of Egypt were happening all over again, and there was another ancient book that was connected with "The Book of the Dead" called, "The Book of the Living," They find out that the Book of the Dead gives the dead life, while the Book of the Living takes life away.

Now, the students must figure how to stop the Ten Plagues and the killings, and figure out how to get their hands on the Book of the Living, to try and save all of Egypt.

Ooc: I'll just say it's morning.

Time went by fast when you're tired/sleeping, so 10 am rolled by quickly. Jaeke was already up and about around 7 ish, and finally relaxed in the lobby downstairs, in a table by the wall with lots of chairs for everyone. He leaned back and closed his eyes, since he didn't sleep that much, he was feeling a bit tired again. He sighed, then glanced at the clock. They were suppossed to be here by now.

"That Kamilah gets right on my nerves! She so far up herself I'm surprised she can still breathe! Sorry, that was a bit rude." Roslyn said quietly.

"Anyway, I think I'm going to go to sleep. I'll see you in the morning." She said yawning. She headed back to her room, and promptly fell asleep on her bed.

Too soon for Roslyn it was morning. She had gotten up and showered. She slowly made her way down to the lobby about half an hour later than she was supposed. Must still be the jet lag. She thought. She saw Jaeke in the lobby looking annoyed. "Hey, sorry I'm late."

"Night." Samantha yawned as she fell back on her pillows. Closing her eyes, she drifted off into a dreamless sleep.....The rays of the sun streamed in through a nearby window and played across her face. Stirring, she opened her eyes, and glanced at her watch.

Jumping up, she quietly scolded herself. "Oh, I'm late." Glancing at the other bed, she said Teresa was still asleep. She quietly approached her and gently shook her awake. "Come on Tess. We've got to get downstairs." She grabbed a pair of clothes and rushed into the bathroom to freshen up.

Seth was downstairs by nine. He didn't sleep well, something was nagging at the back of his mind, he knew something had gone wrong. He hated the feeling because he didn't know what it was but he knew he would have to stop it, not knowing was the worst for him.

Teresa felt someone touching her. 'Just more five minutes, mum' She whispered still with her eyes closed. She felt the light touching her eyes and opened them. She wasn't at home at all. She felt scared, where was she? Suddenly the memories came back to her mind and she sighed. She hated when she had those memory problems. She got up, feeling still a little tired. She walked to the bathroom and knocked the door. 'Morning!' she said. 'Sam, hurry up please!' She added. She didn't want to have trouble with Jaeke in the morning.

Samantha hurried outof the bathroom. "Okay, I'm done." she said, grabbing a pair of shoes. "Good morning to you too." she said, running a brush through her hair and fixing it in a messy ponytail. Sighing, she grabbed her backpack and waited by the door, glancing at her watch. They were already really late. She hoped the others had overslept as well.

'I'll be ready in a minute!' Teresa said. She grabbed a t-shirt and a pair of jeans and walked inside the bathroom. She got dressed more quickly than ever before. She remembered the days she was at school and was constantly late due to her will of staying awake all night long. She got out of the bathroom while putting her brown hair into a ponytail. She grabbed her shoes and put them on her feet. 'Okay I'm done' She said with a smile. 'Shall we go?' She asked putting her hands on her hips.

Samantha grinned and nodded. "Sure." she opened the door scanning the room to make sure she didn't forget anything. "Let's go." she walked out of the door, waiting for Teresa so she could lock it. After Teresa walked out, she locked the door and walked downstairs with Teresa.

Jaeke looked up at Roslyn, Seth, Teresa and Sam, then gestured to the seats. "Sit down. Eat breakfast. Chat," he said simply, gazing in the direction of the Egyptian lady that was down in the lobby the night before.

He asked her for some breakfast, and she nodded, going in the kitchen on the side. He narrowed his eyes, as he heard water running, and then - a high-pitched scream. It came from the kitchen, making Jaeke jump, as he opened his eyes wide. "What the ****?!" He blurted out, as he stared in the direction of the kitchen. The door bursted open, and the Egyptain lady ran out... covered in blood.

Samantha let her gaze run over the room. When Jaeke mentioned breakfast, she gave a small nod and then jumped in her seat as she heard him exclaim. Turning in her seat, she almost screamed at the sight that met her eyes. Clapping a hand over her mouth, she stared in horror, transfixed. Snapping out of her trance, she rushed over and then realizing she didn't know Egypitan, turned to Jaeke. "Ask her what happened!" she exclaimed, frantically looking over the woman to find the source of the bleeding.

Jaeke had already got up, as he stared down at the woman. He flicked his gaze to Sam, staring at her. He nodded slightly, then squatted down next to the lady, tilting his head and mumbling something, not loud enough for everyone else to hear. In a minute, he got this odd look on his face, as he glanced at Sam again and said, "She wants a towel.. but she has no wounds.." He trailed off, then got up, going over to the kitchen and walking in. You could hear him yell, "Holy ****!" He came out a second later, a 'freaked-out- kind of look on his face, as he shut the door fast and leaned against it.

As Jaeke spoke, Sam looked around for a closet. Spotting one, she twisted the knob and it opened. Thank you she thought with a sigh. She grabbed a white towel and hurried out to where the others. Watching Jaeke as he disappeared through the door, she handed the woman the towel, motioned for her to take a seat, and fearfully waited after she heard Jaeke's cry. As he leaned against the door, she asked quietly but urgently "What happened?" not wanting to add to the chaos by yelling.

Jaeke took a deep breath, then let it out, as he hesitated. He didn't know if she'd believe him or not - they probably wouldn't - but he decided to tell them anyway. "..Blood. The water turned to blood!" he blurted out, knowing that it didn't seem real, but it was. He bit his lip, as he shook his head. "..It's.. coming out of the faucet."

Samantha bit her lip. Blood? She searched through her memory of the books she had read. I know I've seen that somewhere. Was it dealing with the Book of the Dead? Suddenly it hit her. "Blood?" she squeaked out. "As in the rivers and waters of Egypt went red and were as blood?" she asked quoting a passage she now remembered vivdly. She made to push past him to take a look herself.

Lori just got up and went to breakfast, confident that there'd not be so much trouble now. Then she heard the scream, and was now confident that there'd always be trouble. She'd have guessed Jaeke, but that woud've been jumping to conclusions, which made her just as bad as him.

But truth be told, she was quite attracted to him despite his rudeness. She lazily walked towards Sam and Jaeke, and heard what she had said. "So, this blood-water thingy...I think I've heard this before, when the flood of the Nile pick up red sand and make the water bloody." she stated matter-of-factly.

She followed Sam and saw that it did look viscous enough to be water. She bent down and dipped her finger it it, and ribbng it against her thumb. "Yep, it's water," she muttered to herself, knowing Jaeke would once again retort to her being correct. That irritated her a lot.

Teresa got up and walked to the others. 'Blood you say?' She shook her head a little. 'It's easy to see any of you are Christians or something. Moses took the Jewish who worked at slaves out of Egypt. He tried to do it peacefully but as the talking didn't work, he kind of sent ten plagues to the Egypt, one of them was, as Lori said, the Nile's water turning into blood' She stated. If she had no religion, she'd probably be freaked out but as she was a Cristhian, and knew some things of the Bible, she wasn't scared. She didn't know one hundred per cent why but she simply wasn't.

Roslyn had been looking on, paying attention to everything they were saying.

"How could this have happened? Lori, are you sure it could have been red sand? It really does look like blood to me." Roslyn asked slightly scared. She had read the books about the 10 plagues and if the the water had really turned to blood, she was not looking forward to finding about the other plagues.

Jaeke stared at Lori, then tilted his head. "..It looks so much like blood.." He leaned over, then turned the faucet off that was pouring out the *blood*. He forced all of them out of the kitchen, and into the lobby, before narrowing his eyes. "..The Ten Plagues?" He repeated, then shook his head. "Yeah right. That happened over a a couple hundred of years ago. Plus, maybe it was just rust in the faucet.." he trailed off again, seriously confused, before picking up his bag with the Book of the Dead almost falling out of it, but pushing it back in and gesturing to the door. "Come on. We're going to the marketplace."

Teresa sighed and shrugged. 'Whatever' She whispered. There was something happening around them. She knew it, she could sense it. She walked behind Jaeke. Somehow as she walked she ended up next to him. 'What are we going to do there?' She asked curiously. There was blood in that kitchen and they were going to the market. To her, it made no sense at all.

Samantha glanced over at Jaeke, a bit startled at the tone of confusion in his voice. She thought back to what the other girl's had said. Yes, it was true about the Nile and the blood connected with the Ten Plagues. She now desperately wished that she had brought one of her books with her. What exactly were they up against? How could the blood be just a coincidence? As she walked along with Roslyn, Lori, and the others, she noticed Teresa walk up to Jaeke. Sighing, she quietly walked along, not wanting to be disturbed.

Roslyn stared blankly after Jaeke. How could he just dismiss this. He should have been more worried. He had been bragging about being the new Pharoah, so why wasn't he caring about something this serious?! She walked behind him and the girls thinking about the situation, and about what Samantha had said about Jaeke reading from the book.

Jaeke fidgeted with his bag, not knowing that the Book of the Dead fell out from behind, so it was lying there on the ground, as he glanced at Teresa. "The lady's fine, the water was just rust. We need more food and more clothing. So we're going to the marketplace..." ..And even if she wasn't okay, I don't want the Egyptian cops or whatever to come and bust me for something I didn't do.. he added silently, as he stepped outside, into the harsh sunlight. Jaeke made way for the stables, then stopped, as he stared into the camel's bucket of water. The water in that was red, too - bloody-looking. Jaeke froze, just staring at it.

Samantha walked along, lost in her own thoughts and almost stumbled as her foot hit something. Looking down, she realized it was the Book of the Dead. Jeez, you'd think he'd be a bit more alert she scoffed and then hurried ahead to where Jaeke and Teresa stood. "Jaeke." she said quietly. "You forgot something." she held up the book and then almost dropped it as she glanced down at the bucket. Raising her eyes to meet his, she said. "Now that's not a coincidence."

Teresa nodded. 'Definetly not a coincidence' She whispered. She put her hands together, closed her eyes and started praying silently. She opened them again still talking mentally. There was something wrong going on there... but she was not afraid at all, she had no idea why but she simply wasn't.

Jaeke blinked, then turned around. He spotted the book that Sam held, then darted his head to the sides, as if he thought someone saw, then grabbed the book, shoving it in his bag. He was becoming a bit paranoid, as he backed away from the bloody water. He looked down at the ground, as he walked down the road, mumbling, "C'mon. We're walking."
