Samantha pushed herself up off of the ground, stowing her handkerchief in her pocket and brushing herself off, which wasn't very easy. She glanced up as Teresa spoke and replied. "Yes" as she looked around at everyone else. She then noticed Jaeke and Teresa move a little further ahead of the group.

Her curiosity got the best of her, so throwing one last glance over her shoulder, she headed their way and then abruptly stopped. Another pyramid was at the bottom of the hilll and from the looks of it, the sandstorm had uncovered part of it. She watched Jaeke as he studied it and quietly waited.

Seth followed the others to where they were stood with Jaeke. He whistled slowly.

"Wow, now this is unexpected." He commented as he looked at the pyramid, he walked up to Jaeke's side. "What are you thinking mate?" He asked.

Jaeke flicked his gaze at Teresa, then shrugged. "'Welcome," he said simply, but sincerely, before inching away again. Okay. So he was cold. He didn't want to get attached to people. No one.

He tilted his head again, then shook his head, as he stared at Seth, blinking. "Wha-?" He mumbled, before pointing to one symbol, which looked like cross-bones. "Not sure about this one.. might mean 'death' or 'curse'.." He muttered to himself, before stepping back more, then smirking. "..It says, "Here lies the tomb of Anubis. Breaking and Entering will cause.." " Jaeke stopped, then frowned. "I think it says, 'will cause the curse to unleash death'. But I'm not sure.."

He suddenly grinned, then ran his hands along the stone door, like he did before. With a click, and rumbling, the stone moved up, to reveal darkness. "I never did listen to those stupid curses.. " He said loudly, as he glanced back and flashed them a odd grin. "So who's coming with me in here?"

Seth thought for a moment, he wasn't really into the whole unleashing a curse on himself thing but he did really want to explore this newly found pyramid. Eventually his curiousty beat his caution.

"Let's do it..but let's just be careful. Remember all the Egyptians traps and things, you know how to handle them and I got some stuff that might give us a hand." He said to Jaeke, patting his backpack. It was full of odd things like mousetraps, elastic bands and sharp knives..you never knew what you could encounter.

'I'll go' Teresa said. She never liked those curses, she had always thought they said the truth though anyone understood what the truth was, but Jaeke had helped her and she was not going to stand outside and do nothing. If he needed her for any reason she'd be there to help him or anyone else who needed. Besides, she went there to learn more about Egypt and that was what she was going to do.

Samantha watched as Jaeke ran his hands over the entrance of the tomb after translating the hieroglyphics. She had read about Anubis among many other things. Despite the thought of a curse, she was excited about going into the pyramid.

"Count me in." she said impulsively and then listened to Seth. "Seth's right. We'll have to watch our every step once we're inside."

Jaeke was about to enter, when he suddenly stopped. "Wait a second. Anubis.. Anubis.. he was an Egyptian God, wasn't he? Head of a dog, body of a man. Often raised from ****.. weapon a spear.." Jaeke trailed off. "Can a God really have a tomb? Maybe someone's messing with us.." He stopped, then glanced around for everyone's opinion. "Haven't you guys ever heard of Anubis? Or.. what pyramids were like? The rooms are confusing. If you don't mark your place, you'll never find your way out.."

Samantha nodded. "Yes, I've heard of Anubis. He was originally the god of the underworld and then became the god of embalming." she paused. "Now do you really think that the inscription isn't serious? I mean, I know there were grave robbers and such. The Egyptians may have put that to trick them to go into the pyramid in hopes of trapping them, but..." she trailed off, thinking. "I suppose we won't know unless we go inside, won't we?

Ryan thought. A curse? Well, they were in Egypt...he then said ''Well, even if there is a curse, how can we be sure it's real? It could be fake. Anyway, count me in''

Roslyn had been trailing behind the rest of the group, taking in the sites of the area. She had heard Jaeke yell and did as he said to. She stood once the storm had blown over and saw him fall. She headed over to the group.

"Curses? Ryan's right, it could be fake. I'm game, are we going in or not?" Roslyn asked the group, adjusting her backpack.

Teresa listened to everyone without opening her mouth. 'I'm in. I don't care if it's a fake or not, or whatever. We came here to know more about Egypt right? So, if we go inside we will learn more' she said. 'But I think we have to have caution. Perhaps someone should be outside just to be sure that anything happens' She trailled off. But at the same time everyone is needed within she added mentally.

Samantha glanced up at Teresa and gave a small smile. "I doubt that anyone will want to stay outside of the pyramid." she said shrugging and looking around the group. "Anyone care to volunteer to stay outside?" she asked and then looked back to Jaeke in askance, wondering if he had made a decision yet.

Lori smiled at Teresa and admired her courage. "You're right, Tes. But, I won't be the one to stay outside, no..." she said, folding her arms and shaking her head. She pondered for a moment. If she had to endure any more of Jaeke's insults and sarcasms, she burst right at him and punch his wits out.

She looked back at Teresa and said, "Unless of course someone stays with me, I'd be happy to be the one to stay outside and be a lookout. I know a enough about Egypt anyway,"

She was hoping Jaeke wouldn't stay with her, coz then staying outside would be pointless. She half-hoped Seth would be the one to stay behind with her.

'I'd be glad to stay outside but I really want to go in' Teresa said. She had to go in. Even though half of her wanted to stay out she knew that she had to help everyone inside. Jaeke had helped her and she was not going to stay with her arms crossed and do nothing while he could need her help.

OOC: so sorry for not replying sooner! school has been totally hectic but in a week it'll be better... I'll try to reply as much as I can.

Christian finally... finally... spoke. The group of people around his were so different from his that he had been perhaps too intimidated to talk. He looked at the girl that wanted to stay. He wished to go in but they did need a look out "Ill stay out here with you" He said looking at her before turning to the Pharoh boy "Take this and feel free to mark your way with any of the two" He said throwing him a small bag with a very long amont of tright blue thin rope and a chalk. He could use both at the same time and the rope could be cheked on with a pull or two to know if the poeple on the other end did have it.

Jaeke stared at everyone as they started making plans around him. He shook his head, but caught the bag that Christian threw at him. "Who's the leader here again?" Jaeke asked loudly, then nodded. "Oh yeah. Me. So I make the decisions. And right now, with a sandstorm just happening, we can't have anyone else get hurt. So we're all going in," he decided, before taking out a wooden stake from his own bag and nailing it in the ground, then tying the rope to it. "This will be our lifeline. If it gets cut, we're dead. But if we hang on to it, then we'll be able to get back out."

Jaeke raised an eyebrow, then disappeared inside. But first, he took out a flashlight, so they could see. He shined it along the walls, where it showed pictures and symbols - pictures of Egyptians and the Pharoh and Anubis. The room they were in was big, and there were ancient jars and other things scattered around. It seemed like there was nowhere else to go, but of course, it was just an illusion. There had to be a secret passageway around here somewhere.

Christian shrugged. Bad idea but hey he would not say no to an experience that would never repeat itself. He walked in after The pharoh boy and looked around. He took out his own flashlight and was left almost breathless by the paintings and by every single tng he saw. This was beautifull. He could almost touch the magic that came from the walls. IT was more than what he could have hoped for

Samantha glanced at Lori and Teresa, then turned and moved inside as well. The darkness enveloped her for a second until Jaeke turned on a flashlight. Following his gaze, she noticed the markings on the walls and then peered into the darkness, searching for a doorway of some sort. She moved forward a little to make room for the others that were coming in, making sure that her backpack was secure on her shoulders. She couldn't afford to drop it in a place like this.

Jaeke stared at the wall, moving his flashlight slowly, before cutting the silence and saying, "You know what that says, don't you?" He asked, gesturing to the wall. He was pointing near the picture of Anubis, before shining his light farther down - where it showed Anubis brutally murdering humans. He flicked his dark eyes back to Samantha, then smirked. "Since you know so much about Anubis, entertain us about this picture, love," he said, folding his arms across his chest.

Samantha moved closer to get a better look at the pictures. She intently studied it for a while and then said cooly to Jaeke. "I only know the basics, love, but from what I've read, Anubis only led people into the underworld so that their soul could be weighed against the feather of truth." She reached out to trace the picture. "This doesn't make sense." she muttered.

Seth stood at the back of the group, keeping an eye on everyone else and making sure no-one got left behind. He heard Sam muttering about the picture but none of it made any sense to him so he didn't comment.

ooc: aargh, I'm losing track here what with school and all that jazz. Eh, I'll just play it all on how my character's 'the quiet type' or smth...

All this time, Tom followed ominously behind, in the wake of Jaeke. Lost in his own recollections about Egypt most of the time, he had barely paid attention to what was going on around him - well, disregarding the imminent sand storm, of course. He tilted his head slightly sideways when Christian spoke, and Jaeke snapped once again, in return. It seemed that the males of the group, apart from their Pharaoh leader, were more contemplative than quarrelsome. Tom did not dislike that, nor them, truthfully. Not even Jaeke. But his gut feeling was hinting towards something wrong, illustriously so.

Teresa shrugged and walked inside, she wasn't waiting for anything else coming from Jaeke. She had given an idea that he probably would not approve and she was pretty much aware of it. After she heard Sam she bit her lip. She knew she had to help her new friend before Jaeke started telling bad things about her or doing something else but what could she say? She knew a little about mithology but not enough to know what every little thing ment. She moved towards the painting and studied it the best she could. Samantha was right, it made absolutely no sense at all. 'There's got to be a reason' she whispered more to herself than to anyone else. Could it be a joke? No, anyone would do something insane like that.

Jaeke raised an eyebrow, then snickered. "Chillax, ladies. You're right. This doesn't make sense. Which is why the passageway is near there." Jaeke couldn't explain it, but he was very observant. If something was out of place, then it probably meant that something else was behind it.. or something. Jaeke made his way over to the painting, but tripped on a jar that was near it. A deep rumbling occured, and the painting moved a bit, so you could enter the hallway behind it. Jaeke stared at it, then flashed a grin. "See?"

Teresa's eyes opened wide. Now she understood why Seth said Jaeke was born to be a leader. She would never have thought of something like that, maybe because her knowledge wasn't as good as his or Sam's. She only knew the basics and a little more of some topics but she was not an expert. 'So, what are we going to do? Go through it or keep on going?' She asked a few moments after, trying to pretend she wasn't surprised, even though she knew she had already showed she was. She couldn't wait to see what was in that passage, probably something really interesting, but that way they could get lost or maybe it was a trap. Her mind started inventing many possibilities of what the passage was.
