Lexi let out a little sigh of frustration and said, "Are yo unot having a good time with me? Have done something to make you uncomfortable?" She turned to face the boy and her brow furrowed slightly. What had she done to make him so weird around her. He was her best friend before... she was pretty sure he didn't mind her kissing him. Who knew though, boys are stupid.

Evan sighed a little. Just as he decided to move on to another girl, Ella was gone--just like previous three girls. Only Marie had stayed, and she was the one to leave him either--what was wrong with him, seriously? Maybe there was some bad luck charm on him or something... must pa a visit to the Divination teacher. He would be the one to detect such a thing, right?

"Yeah, she was kind to accept to come with me..." he said a little bit distracted, looking around the decorations. He snapped back to Marie, and with some stupid instinct that kicked in, which came with his distraction, he reached out for her arm again and turned her around maybe too forcefully. "Please don't--" he started, but realising that their faces were only a few centimetres away, trailed off. It was truly an awkward and uncomforting moment, but it was also one of those magical ones that happened between two loving but not yet admitted people. Or at least for him, anyway. As he stared into her eyes again, not being able to take a step back, he felt a strong emotion coming back again--his feelings for her. His eyes fell at her lips. She was so close to him... he didn't want that to happen, he had to take a step back IMMEDIATELY. Yet, not only did he keep in that dreamily and very dangerous distance, but he also didn't let go of her hand too. He was sure he was about to taste one of her slaps now.

"Can you just leave me alone ? "She said, rolling her eyes."I know I'm an awful person and I'm hated by everyone. Please just leave me alone."she said to the girl. Savannah just wanted to talk to Aiden, she wanted to just talk to Aiden. She didn't care about this...girl. Savannah turned to Aiden, hoping she would say something in her defense. He would be on the other girl's side naturally. Everyone was always on the other persons side besides Nekoda, Xio and Orlando. They didn't count.

A confused blink left him as he turned his eyes back to Alexa. "I never said I wasn't having a good time." A small frown furrowed his brow as he considered her. "Just...the last time we talked, you walked off in a stormy rage, and now...its like it never happened. I'm just...I guess I thought maybe we were needing to talk about something. But maybe I'm mistaken."

Marco needed some air. No ladies inside wanted him. How about outside? He sighed as he strolled out in his suit. It was odd feeling, but ok. He had worn a few before. He spotted a group of older people. One of them he recognised. OMG it was Lyra. He quickly gazed around. No Agie to be seen. Should he go and say hello. Yeah sure why not. She probably hated him, it had been 6 years though. "Lyra?" Start easy.

That's why I was there; the poor Romanians need someone to protect them." And they did. Though, Aveira hadn't exactly been legal about it all... Though, "Vigilante" didn't look good on her resume, so she often avoided that little fact.

Selena nodded. She was another one of those people who didn't like hugs. "Does silver really hurt werewolves?" Selena asked. Because she had heard that it did and killed them. "Are the vampires really afraid of garlic? Or was all that just myths and legends?" Selena added. So if she ever ran into them she'd know what to do. She was pretty sure Miss Aveira would've made an amazing hit witch if she could kill vampires and werewolves.

"No I won't leave you alone," she replied with a shake of her head. She put her hands on her hips. "You owe her an apology. It isn't fair of smacking someone just because she tells you something you don't want to hear," Thalia said to her stubbornly. If she was Vanessa she would be demanding an apology but of course she wasn't so her methods now had to be slightly different. Maybe if she was nicer to people others would like her more. She didn't want to ruin this night for herself. Okay so if she saw Jude then it would be ruined.

"Well then bring Vanessa over her and I will but I am not leaving."Savannah said, looking at the girl. She wasn't moving, nope. It wasn't happening. She wasn't going to let this stupid girl flirt with Aiden if she left. It just wasn't happening, enough things had gone wrong tonight.She crossed her arms. Ugh....

"Just apologize later or something. She has enough problems with her boyfriend right now," she explained, looking over at Aiden. She wondered if he was going to be here for his 7th year. Maybe she could beg her parent's to let her come back and go to school here. She already found friend's and enemies, plus Pat was going away to like Bulgaria to teach.

Looking back up across the pond, she noticed something. Was that Evan over there and was he with Marie. How did she miss them over there? Tilting her head slightly, she watched and her eyes got a big. She really did hope that Carter wasn't seeing the same thing she was at that moment. She had already gone through all the drama of Carter and Marilyn and she had already promised herself she wouldn't be the one to pick up the pieces again. No it would only hurt her more to be there for that again. She was just starting to pick up the pieces of her own heart as is.

Shaking her head, she tried not to stare at just want was going on, but she couldn't help it. Her mind was quickly starting to race and she leaned back on her hands again, gripping the bench. If she moved her hands to her lap, Carter would surely notice something. No, she wouldn't let on that she was a bit affected by what she was seeing.

"Do you want me to leave so you can talk to Aiden ?"She said, looking at the girl with one eyebrow raised. It sure seemed like it."I'm not leaving if that is what you think."She said her arms still crossed. She sure wanted to leave this ball but she couldn't not yet anyway.

Ugh...someone needed to go shoe shopping soon.

"Both are quite true," Aveira replied. "Silver hurts werewolves because it reacts with the chemical makeup of their blood in a combustion reaction. Garlic has the same general effect on vampires, but it their sense of smell is also rather keen, which gives the garlic even more of a potency to them. Anything that has a strong smell bothers them, actually. Furthermore, vampire toxin is deadly to werewolves, and werewolf blood and toxin is deadly to vampires. It's a rather vicious truth. Causes a lot of trouble in Romania."

"I would actually like to speak to him without you being around. Seems as if we had some unfinished words spoken between us," Thalia said to her, eying Aiden again. God this girl was going to get annoying if she did come back. Maybe she could stick around but move a few steps away so she wouldn't interrupt. It's not like she was going to kiss this kid again now was it?

Selena nodded. "So, when you kill a werewolf or a vampire, do you just use their blood to repel others?" she asked. It seemed a lot easier just doing that than doing more work. Anything with scent... "So how are vampires able to stand humans? Don't all humans have a different scent?" Selena asked. Especially those with like... BO or perfume... or cologne. It didn't smell good.

"You can talk to him another time"she said, looking at the girl. "I was here first, I shouldn't have to run off because you are here."she said with a shrug of her shoulders. Merlin, she hated people.

"Umm no I can't. I'm only here for Christmas," she argued, crossing her arms against her chest and shifting her weight on where she stood with the black 5 inch stilettos she wore. "You can speak to him another time. Is there any chance you can just like back up a bit so you don't interrupt?" she asked in an argumentative tone. It wasn't even going to take long. She wanted to leave the grounds and go hang out inside anyway.

"Yeah, that's the preferred method," Aveira replied, shrugging. "But vampires are a lot like humans. They're still weak to anything we are, though not as much to hunger or dehydration. They're just as sensitive to the sun as we are. And, for Merlin's sake, they don't sparkle. I don't know what gave muggles that idea. People think they're really that much different, but they're not. They're slightly stronger, slightly more resilient, slightly wilder... Like animals, pain won't stop them. They're like us, but with the instinct that we've bred out of ourselves." She sighed. There were a lot of misconceptions out there, and it was ignorance that spread, not knowledge, like wildfire. "Humans each have a slightly different scent. Anything does. But the scent of a human isn't as penetrating as, say, garlic or vinegar. Things that smell strongly to us? They're overwhelming for vampires. Perfume and sweat, not so much. Humans don't smell strongly enough to repel vampires. We're their natural prey, after all."

"You can talk to him later tonight. I was here first."she said, looking at the girl."And sweetheart, you interrupted me, so I don't want to hear it."she said with a shrug of her shoulders. She tapped her foot on the ground.

"No I can't. This..this is important Savannah. I really need to talk to him," she argued some more. Could this girl just let her speak to him for a tiny bit of time and she could have him for the rest of the night? Seriously. "Because it was important," Thalia rolled her eyes. Hurting someone was a good reason to interrupt.

If she was ever going to Romania she was making sure she had vinegar... and garlic... and silver. Silver is important. "What happens if there's a lot of perfume though? "Blood makes vampires immortal," Aveira replied simply. Well, it did... "Perfume might defer a vampire, depending on the scent's strength, but no one should count on that, garlic, or anything else, for that matter, to keep a really thirsty vampire away. They'll ignore it if they're desperate enough. They'll ignore most anything if they're desperate enough. But if a vampire isn't thirsty, don't worry about it. They do, otherwise, act just like humans. They all once were, after all."

Selena nodded. "If Romania is so dangerous, why does the Ministry allow people to live there?" she asked. It made no sense if there were people dying there and the Ministry allowed them to stay there.

Marie was already thinking about where she was going to find Carter when she felt Evan grab her arm and spin her around. Gee, why couldn't he just let her go, why did he always have to try and stop her from leaving? "What are you do...?" she trailed off as she realized just how close their faces were to each other. Looking at him she was slightly confused by what was happening. If this would have been several months ago she might have welcomed being that close to him.

But not now. Now it just felt... WRONG!

She had just told Carter that she was happy Evan had left her, not to mention the thoughts that had been running through her head at that time. Even now... standing here this close to Evan it was Carter she was thinking about.

'Please don't what? Please don't leave? Why would I want to stay here and risk getting into an argument with Mina? I came here to have a good time, I did not come her to argue with anyone." Which is what she felt was going to be happening here anyway.Why couldn't he just be happy with them being friends, why did things always have to end like this for them?

Not even realizing he was holding her hand she just stood there staring at him waiting to hear what he had to say.

"What would you have us talk about then, Sabel? I got angry and stomped off... it happens. I have already forgotten why I was upset. And sitting here enjoying this evening with you is all I really would like to do right now. Does that sound like a plan?" she said with a sweet smile on her face as she looked him in the eye.

She gave a shiver and scooted a little closer to Sabel. "Would it be terrible for me to ask for your cloak... jacket... whatever. I don't think my skill with the warming charm is as good as it used to be. No practice, ya know," she said shyly. Sabel smelled really nice tonight.
