"Er... well I've never really... learned to do it? Before?" He thought back to the dance lesson that they'd had. Destiny had apparently never learned to dance before then either. So he wasn't alone... even if he was at least three years older than she. "I don't think I'm really that good at it. Far more coordinated when on a broom, really... We had a lesson earlier in the term, but neither Destiny nor I had any clue what we were doing. Figured it out in the end though."
Haha. Forget about her? Raiden didn't know that many girls in general. He never forgot about people. And he'd especially not forget Celestina. She was fun.
"I promise. I'll come find you, hopefully when you're not too busy dancing with Nico or... Tagren. Or someone."
He'd probably have poor timing. With how fun and sweet Celestina was... she'd probably be dancing most of the night with guys she'd gone to school with. Hopefully he'd be able to sneak one in? Hm.
Celestina had always been easily distracted. Whenever something moved, she usually looked. It was particularly eye catching if it was bright, sparkly or shiny. It had been something Professor Blaylock teased her with and used against her to get Bucky to do tiresome chores.
So, naturally when Nico started using his fingers to touch his forearm, Bucky's green eyes followed his actions. Without any thought at all, she too reached out and touched the scar with furrowed brows. "That doesn't look good," she mumbled, poking his forearm before pulling her finger away.
Before, you know, Nico bit her or something.
"Well, I suppose but in the movies they usually wear this kind of clothes, although they have some strange fascination with bow ties."
Nicholai had no bowties. Pity really, Bucky thought he'd look really funny with one. HEHE. "Raiden, I expect you to come looking for me now," she said as an answer to his request. "I'll be upset if you forget about me over some other girl!"
Someone younger and more bouncy or whatever.
Nico caught her finger and then gave it a gentle squeeze, offering a wry smile. "An object lesson not to get on the wrong side of a sectumsempra." He traced her fingertip along the visible part of the scar and then looked away as he guided her fingertips right up to his shoulder, finally letting her hand go and clasping his own together again.
"I've not seen a movie before." Nicholai admitted and then, "I do have a few bowties though." It wasn't that kind of ball, that was all.
"Impossible. He won't forget you." Nicholai grinned at Raiden. "Raiden has taste after all." Yes kid we know you used to have a thing for our sister.

Her eyes grew wide at both Nico's word and actions. That was the entirety of his scar? Wicked. Bucky didn't really speak about how she thought the scar was a rather cool memento of a lesson learned, though. After all, it probably was painful and less of a cool idea than it seemed to Celestina. Instead, she reached over once her hand was free and gave his arm one good squeeze.
"Thank you for the warning, not that I had any plans on being annoying enough to get me one of those," she said breathlessly. "Although, I guess I can be annoying to a lot of people just be existing. I have this bad habit when I just talk and talk or more like, don't think before I say stuff. Lack of...tact? That's the word."
Celestina didn't know what she found more ludicrous, Nico never seeing a movie or her dancing with Tagren. HA. HA. Tag knew better than to put himself through that torture.
"Never? Never ever ever?" squeaked Celestina, reaching out for Nico's arm. "You should watch one sometime! They're a great time killer. I watch them all the time when I'm alone. I have one, about spies, I can quote it word for word for now," finished the witch, a proud beam on her freckled face.
Anyways, they were back to Raiden and his tastes and somewhere in there was a compliment that wasn't, for once, making her blush. "I'm sure he does. He's a great boy." HEHE. In case he didn't get it, Bucky winked. "Hogwarts must love you."

He was nothing she pictured. Lyra forced a smile not remembering this one at all from school. Oh. It was so clear that Lyra did not approve of Seth at all in the slighest. Vanessa knew Lyra, and she knew that expression. Although part of her really didn't care if Lyra approved or not, because it was her choice to come with Seth, but then she did know that Lyra was only looking out for her best interests, and right now nothing was really that permanent in her love life...well not yet anyway. It also seemed though, they neither of them knew it each other, which in a way made Vannie feel a little better, because at least Lyra didn't know about Seth's reputation just yet.
"umm..." The only problem with them not knowing each other was that it made small talk a little hard, but they'd sort that out later. She caught Seth's look, smiling at him. Was it her or did he look a little scared? She glanced back at Lyra, before moving a little closer to Seth, leaning up so she could talk to him. "You don't need to be scared of her...I'll protect you." She whispered to him, with a little grin, as she slipped a hand into his, before turning back to smile at Lyra like she'd so not been talking about her. So....she didn't really know where the conversation would go now...

"Well... I guess Vindictus just kinda... let us go figure it out for ourselves? After he made Miles and Chris ask Cela and Gold to dance just so we could see rejection." That had actually been really, really amusing. Raiden was glad he hadn't been one to get asked. It would've been embarrassing.
Ahhh. How would Nico know what Raiden's taste was? He probably knew that Raiden had liked Cela, once upon a time until last term, but other than that... had Cela told him about Kiri? About the fact that he hadn't really developed any kind of attraction to girls other than those? Or was he simply going off of who Raiden was friends with? Because Raiden had great friends.
He vaguely wondered if Nico would approve of Emmalee. And then he found himself wondering if it even mattered.
...huh wait what?
"I guess... kinda?" he said thoughtfully, his expression remaining neutral at Bucky's statement. However, his ears betrayed him, turning a bit red. He had a lot of friends, but overall he didn't know most of Hogwarts. He was fairly sure more people knew who he was in general terms than knew him personally. And there were students that didn't like him very much at all...
Hmm. He just tried to be a good prefect and a nice person. If Hogwarts liked him, then that was just fine.
"What kind?" she asked, as she looked down at her high heels. They were sooo sparkly. Really distracting. "I mean, it's easier to decide dance preferences, when there's music."
Please, no oldies. Something fun. Gold could go with whatever. But it would be nice to be able to enjoy. Not that that wasn't all she had done, so far tonight. She gave Dylan a little smile.
Dylan held out his hand for her to take. "How about we just dance?" He would just hold her close, and dance. No music. Just the two of them. "I'll lead."

Lyra was hungry and she wanted to stretch her legs a little more. A forceful, heavy laugh came from her as Seth mentioned he didn't know her either. That was about right and there was a reason behind one not knowing the other.
"Well, Vans, I'm...starving. Imma go inside since I've lost the rest of the people we were chatting with." She moved towards the door to go inside. "I'll see you later." She raised her brows, knowing that meant they would talk later.

"I'm sorry." he said to her. "I shouldn't have overreacted like that." he told her. He couldn't believe after acting so stupidly she could treat him so well.

"Easy," Copernicus let her go to pull off his jacket. "Wear this for a bit. It'll smell like you," he dropped it around her shoulders and snugged her back in beside him. Obviously, his jacket smelling like her was a good thing.
"We could take a tour when you graduate. Bring one of your brothers to chaperone and head out on a short trip to see whatever you want. A celebratory tour."

Pleased at this, almost smug, Celandine snuggled into the warm folds of the jacket and relaxed against Cope.

It might be nice for us to get him out and traveling... having a good time somewhere in the world," Copernicus mused as he gave her hair a bit of a snuffle. "As for me... I dn't care where we go, so long as we go together. Maybe we'll have the thumbs up from your father by then."
Which really meant 'maybe we'll be engaged by then'.
