Up the stairs and to your right stands the door to the girls' sleeping quarters. The rooms are adorned in shades of deep red and gold, with the occasional poster hanging on the wall. A heater has warmed the room and your belongings are already inside. You'll find your trunk sits at the foot of your elegant four poster bed and unlike the boys' dormitory, this one has a few feminine touches.

Nicolette walked into the girls dormitory for the first time. She quickly glanced around the room to find her belongings. She discovered them at a bed, next to the large window. She ran her hands along the silk red sheets, and took a few more steps towards the window, gazing out at the grounds, now dimly lit. 'I really hope I made the right decision in coming here', she thought to herself. She missed her friends from home, and was starting to feel anxious about all the changes taking place in her life. She walked to her trunk, pulled out a large book, and proceeded to crawl onto her bed and begin to read.

Colette skipped up the stairs to the girls dormitory with Bloo, her kitten, following her. Realizing that he was having a hard time with the stairs since he was so tiny, she picked him up and carried him into the room. She couldn't believe she was actually here. That she had actually been sorted into Gryffindor. She went over to her bed and gently plopped him down on her pillow. Then, she walked over to her trunk, knelt down, and began digging through it for the kitty toys. After taking one of the many that were piled in there, she closed the trunk. And that's when she noticed she wasn't the only one in the room. Someone was on their own bed, reading. How had she missed that?! "Hi." she said as she stood up from her position next to her trunk. Now she felt bad for not seeing her.

Adelyn slowly walked up the stairs to the girls' dormitory, and as she approached the door into the entrance of her room, it finally hit her that this would be her home, not only for this term, but until she was done with her seventh year. She couldn't decide whether that thought scared or excited her. After taking a deep breath, Adelyn entered the room, and began to approach her trunk, which was placed at the end of her bed, which she was pleased to see was located next to the window. That's also when she noticed the other two girls in the room, as well; she assumed they were first years. "Hello." She said with a shy smile, hoping she could actually make friends with someone in her house of her own age.

Magnolia walked into the girls dormitory carrying her baby kitten Tilly. She immediatly recognized her trunk stationed next to an extremely comfortable looking bed and flopped down onto it staring at the canopy above her. Magnolia thought of home and felt a little sad. But then she realized that this was an opportunity of a lifetime. She wiped the tears from her eyes and smiled. This was an amazing new life. =)

Ainra trudged up the stairs to the dormitory after a long day. She was very excited to be here but right now all she felt like doing was curling up with a book or talking to some of her classmates. She recognized her trunk next to a bed and through herself onto the four poster. For the first time in her life she felt like she belonged somewhere. She pulled her trunk up to her and began to sort her things.

Nicolette glanced up from her reading materials. "Oh! Hello! I didn't even hear anyone slip in! She put down her book and crawled to sit at the end of her bed."My name's Nicolette, how bout you?"

"Hello, my name's Adelyn." She replied with a friendly smile, as she sat on the edge of her bed.

"Such a pretty name! First year as well?" she inquired.

"Thanks!" Adelyn said, taking the compliment happily. "Yeah, I'm a first year, too. You excited to be here?"

"More nervous than excited." Nicolette began to explain. "I miss my friends back home. I'm pretty shy so it's hard for me to make friends."

"Hi!" she said back to the two girls. "I'm Colette. Colette Alia Prince. But you could call me Cole if you'd like to. It's nice to meet you Nicolette." she smiled and picked up Bloo. Then, she began to stroke him. "So.. Are you both first years too?" she asked curiously. Hoping to finally make friends in her house.

"A pleasure, Cole! Yeah, I'm a first year; any idea what classes you want to be taking this term? I'm trying to pick mine out & take it with some friends! Nicolette said excitedly. 'Friends' she thought to herself.

"I understand completely." Adelyn said with a friendly smile. "I'm really shy, too. Back home, I only have about three friends, and we've been friends since I was four. Making new friends really isn't easy for me." She explained with an understanding tone. "Maybe we could start by making friends with each other?"

"Hi Cole, it's very nice to meet you." She replied, still sitting on her bed. "I'm Adelyn. Adelyn Bennett-Black. I'm a first year, too." She was finally beginning to meet people in her own house, in her year. Adelyn smiled brightly at the thought.

Nicolette was beaming. That's so funny! I have that many friends at home too! I can't even speak to them while here, they're muggles. She said, thinking about her pals back in Glasgow. "I think that you, Adelyn & me should stick together. Be a trio, eh?

"It's nice to meet you both." she smiled. "Classes? Hm. I have no clue what i want to take. Maybe the basics?" Whatever those were. "What are you guys thinking of taking. We should all take classes together. Wouldn't that be fun?" she asked. And now, she sort of felt like she had actual friends. Which was a nice feeling. "Yes, we should stick together and be a Gryffindor trio." she laughed. That would be so cool.

Renée slowly trotted into the girls dormitry. Sh opened her rather large suitcase and got her books. She frolicked out of the room hoping that there would be some excitment going on in the common room

Tess entered the dormitory shyly, quickly spotting her trunk. She smiled at the other girls who looked like they were having fun. She sat down cross-legged on her bed, taking out a copy of some wizarding magazine she had stuffed into her trunk, not opening it yet. "Hi" she said, a bit shyly, to the other girls.

Adelyn smiled brightly and laughed, she hadn't felt this at home since she arrived. "We should definitely stick together. A trio. That'd be wonderful." The very thought of having a small group of friends made her smile grow wider.

"I'm thinking of taking the basics, too. Defense Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, Charms, Herbology, Potions...am I missing anything?" She laughed at herself; being raised by a muggle could really be problematic. She looked happily at Cole and Nicolette, her friends, and smiled. "So, it's decided? We're a Gryffindor trio."

As another girl who appeared to be around her age entered the room, she turned and said "Hello." Adelyn smiled.


Yet another girl entered the room, and you could just tell she was as shy as the rest. Adelyn knew that feeling all too well, and found it got easier once you had made a few friends. "Hello!" She waved at the girl from her spot on her bed by the window. "My name's Adelyn, I'm a first year. And you are?"

"I'm Tess, first year too" she said with a small smile. "I love your name" she commented.

"It's very nice to meet you, Tess." She smiled. "Oh, thank you so much!" Adelyn beamed, she loved that so many people liked her name. "So, are you glad to be in Gryffindor?"

"Yes!" Tess grinned, she loved being in Gryffindor. "I'm so exited that I was sorted into Gryffindor!" she added, hoping she didn't sound stupid or anything.

Adrianne moved into the Dormitory with a smile. She placed her bag onto a bed and sat down with a sigh. This was DEFINITELY different from home. "Hello there," she said to the other girls in the dorm as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.

"That's good! I am too!" She smiled back, "I can't really image being placed into any other house. This was just feels very much like home." Adelyn reached to the head of the bed and grabbed a pillow, placing it on her lap; she felt more comfortable like this, but she hoped the girls didn't think it was weird. "So, tell me about yourself, Tess."

"Hello," Adelyn said as someone else walked in. "I'm Adelyn. What's your name?"

"Hmm..well, I'm 11, I'm really exited about classes, I'm a bit of a nerd, I want to try out for Quidditch, and I take cold showers" She said. "What about you?"

"Hi!" she said to the girl who had just walks in. "I'm Tess" she introduced herself.
