Obviously, she didn't know what happened to Torin. She was clueless about everything that had been going on inside the ballroom for the first hours. "What happened?" Annie asked, confused as she walked to go sit next to Torin,

Annie didn't know what happened, and he wasn't sure if he wanted to tell her. Other friends of his laughed at him, so why not her? He didn't want her to laugh at him, she was one of his best friends. "You'll laugh at me if I told you." He nodded and ate some more of his chocolate.

"Kane, you know me..." Annie said, making his shoulder hit his with a small amount of force, of course. "...I'm a giggling machine, so tell me...and if I laugh, I swear you win one more pink dress wearing in my life..." That was a prize for Torin. He'd love it, because he was mean that way.

And suddenly, she saw the chocolate. OH GOSH. -.-

No, he wouldn't tell her if she would laugh at him. He wanted to forget things, not be laughed at by people who were his friends. "I've already had enough people laugh at me for one night I don't want to make it worse now."

Now this was over the limits. Torin was not telling her?!

"You won't tell me, but I'll ask around." Kidding, but it was sort of a threat, "but don't worry...I won't ask anymore," She quickly gave up and took Torin's hand to hold. "Just relax and we have to go back to the party, I mean...I practiced to dance with you too..." Annie was serious.

It waaaaaas, it WASSSSSSSS GOOOD! Yum yum. Hehe. Miranda nodded, half grinning as she didn't really want to show him her chocolate-brown teeth. Snort. "Told ya. Hehe."

Oh and then there was another girl approaching. Miranda eyed her sooooo much, wondering if she had been there laughing at her friend. But apparently she hadn't because she seemed clueless about what had happened. Heh. "Yeah, snotty kids laughing at something that wasn't funny. And he rather not remember what happened. But I'm sure one day he'll look back at this and laugh, thinking how awesome he is and how not-awesome the others are." Oh, her chocolate was gone. Pout. Thank goodness she had more!

She took another one out for herself, handed one to Torin and offered another to the new girl. "Chocolate?"

She didn't want to press it. And that made him feel relieved. He wouldn't have to relive it for her and have to deal with her making fun of him like the other people had.

Then she mentioned going back in there. Was she crazy?

He shook his head fervently. "There is no way that I'm going back in there. He brought his knees back to his chest again. Nope. He was staying out here and then running off to his dorms later. He wouldn't come out until it was time for the train. And then he would never have to go back to Hogwarts again.

He took the other chocolate from Miranda and ate it. "What she said. That and the fact that I'm not going to talk to Tamzin Wood ever again for as long as I live." He hated it because he loved her so much. So he didn't understand how she could humiliate him like that in front of everyone.

The way the girl looked at Annie, just made her shiver a bit. "I..won't ask anymore questions, just help me convince this guy to go back in there, I mean...he has to enjoy the ball and see his friends. I just saw my cousin Emiliano inside...he's eager to see you, Kane..." Annie mentioned, taking the small piece of chocolate from the girl that was talking to Torin.

"Thanks.." She greeted her then smiled. "Anna Robles, call me Annie if you want..." An introduced herself.

Then she turned back to Torin, ready to eye him, give him that Annie glare. Sigh. There was no point. It was a trauma, that Annie didn't know of, that Torin was going to be dealing with for the rest of the term. Which wasn't long from then, but still...When she mentioned Tammy, Annie couldn't believe it. Something she did wrong? Something that made everyone laugh at him forever.

"Okay...but promise me that we'll dance, mmkay?" She tried to cheer him up. She hoped that was a bit of that.

So they were laughing at him, hard. Annie frowned at this news. "I'm sorry, Torin.

Melissa needed to do this. She needed to do this.

She was apart of making Torin feel bad when she had no idea that will happen. She thought that he would be okay with it and she though that his friend did too. But no he was humiliated and the fact that she was apart of it wasn't nice. She never did something like this and she knew that Torin's friend, well she didn't think the she would be his friend anymore. Well Melissa needed to apologise, she had no idea if that other girl did or not yet but she needed get it out of her system now.

Sighing she walked outside and near the pond. What a night but there he was. But he wasn't alone. She could make out him, Miranda and another girl who didn't look like the person who made Torin upset. He still did look upset too. Poor guy. Maybe she would wait until later. NO. She needed to do it now or never. She slowly walked up to the trio. "Erm, hey Torin," she spoke. She was begging inside that he would accept this apology.

He could see that Annie was disappointed that he wouldn't go back in there and dance with her. But that didn't mean that he couldn't dance with her outside... "I could dance with you out here maybe." And if no one else came out to laugh at him he would have more fun while doing it.

"It's okay, Annie. You didn't do anything." It was the others that had.

And speaking of the others... There was one of them now. He frowned a bit more as he saw Lissa. And she apologized, so he just nodded and then looked away. He wasn't really sure what to say to her.

Sigh. This wasn't going to good and she just arrived! "Listen Torin, I'm really sorry okay I didn't know that you would get mad or anything. I though it was just a joke and you knew about it. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings in anyway or to humiliate you. I thought that you wouldn't take the dress thing personally and so did your friend," well that was what she thought anyway. "I just hope that you accept this but you have your reasons not to," starting with the fact that she laughed at him.

He shrugged at her. "Why would I have wanted to be put in a dress? Did I look amused?" No, he did not. But that didn't stop her from laughing. And he had a feeling that he was more upset about Lissa than the others that came out to apologize because she was his friend unlike Bella who he had just met earlier that night. "And that girl is not my friend!" She wasn't anything to him right now. He didn't want to speak to her again.

Sigh...yet again. "Look I don't know Torin," gah she couldn't think. This night turned out really bad. "No you didn't Torin," of course he didn't. She didn't know what to say. She didn't want to be stuck in this either. She had felt bad ever since he left the Entrance Hall and it had been bugging her all night. "Look she was before but not know," why did this have to be hard. She could have waited. When he cooled down or something.

Aw, when Torin curled into a ball like that, it made Miranda feel sad. He was really hurting about what happened... Stupid...people...laughing... She put an arm around him and had another chocolate frog at hand.

Tamzin Wood. Aha. That was his friend, right? Sigh. She knew about humiliation...
But the girl, after more eyeing, seemed like a good person. Convincing?"Allright." Yeah, that she could try, but she wouldn't make her friend to anything he didn't want to. "Torin...I'm sure everyone has forgotten about it now. Really...if that's the only fun they'll have today, watching a guy in a dress...they're pretty boring people..."


"Nice to meet you, Annie." Miranda smiled, "I'm Miranda BelCanto." Introductioooooooons! "I got more chocolate if you want." Hehe.


Agh, this wasn't fun, watching your friend feeling all poopy.
And there was a girl who HAD laughed? Glaaaaaaaaaaaare. Ack! It was Melissa! And their little interaction didn't go that well. It was apparent Torin didn't want to talk to the girl. "Allright, we're all teammates here, right? We should all take a breather." Miranda looked at them both. "Melissa, as you can see, Torin isn't feeling that well right now...and I'm sure you don't feel that well either...just give him a moment, yeah?"
Who had made her the cap- boss? Pshhhhhhhhhhhh. Whatever.

Crap.
This was going from bad to worse. "Here." She reached out and gave Melissa a chocolate aswell.

What more could she do?

Sigh. Melissa had enough of sighing for one day. But what could she do. Nothing? Silence? Well it was something. There was enough tension in the air. Scary tension. She hated it. EEK. She would of rather that she apologised Torin when he was alone. But was that a good thing or bad. That she didn't know. She will know after this though. Erm, she was meant to speak right. "Your right Miranda," she said simply to her. Yep. Well what could she say. She blurted out everything she came to say at Torin. She didn't plan this! She nodded. "Yeah I'll give him a moment," she didn't want any of this to happen. Well from the start. Like when she laughed. But it was an automatic laugh at the beginning. There were others that laughed too. But it felt like she was the worst person who did it. Glup.

Chocolate? How did chocolate help though she took it anyway. "Thanks," she spoke quietly. She appreciated what Miranda was trying to do. In fact if Torin and her were alone they wouldn't get far. So this was a start.

He nodded at Lissa again, still not really sure what else to say though he got that she was sorry. And he did forgive her really.

But he had an arm around him again and another chocolate. Chocolate could make everything seem better. It was just amazing like that really.

He smiled weakly. "You really think that they have forgotten by now, Miranda?"

Now what would he do without his Captain?

Aw. Another one of her teammates feeling all poopy. This was not good. They should be CELEBRATING! Melissa was pretty young, and young people tended to not have a care in the world - Miranda knew that and was sure the girl was feeling quite awful. But these are the things that teach you and it's knowledge you have with you for the rest of your life. "Torin here isn't one to hold a grudge...he's far to amazing for that. But I'm sure you can see how hurt he was about that...moment. Still, it proves you're a great Badger for coming out here and apologizing." It was true. Now, she didn't want to 'speak' for her friend, so she stopped talking, hoping Torin would say something or maybe Melissa would decide to let him be for a while.

Aw.
Miranda nodded, matter-of-factly. "I think they have." Nod nod. "You know this school, something else probably happened that made people concentrate on that." This school was weird like that. "Plus, if they keep laughing, you just keep your head up high - because you're better than them." He was. "People laugh to make a fool of you, but you don't let them... I wont let them. You show them what a great badger you are and they'll realise you can't be anyone's fool."

Huzzah!

Hmm, Miranda did have a point. Torin was amazing and Melissa didn't want to lose him as a friend. She nodded yeah of course she did and she felt bad about that. "Yeah your right, thanks Miranda," she gave her a weak smile. Now she was going to leave, then she could talk to him later maybe. If he was up for it that was. Hopefully the end of the day would be alright for Torin and good. She didn't want him to be like this all night. Like Miranda said; Torin wasn't the one to hold a grudge. "I'll best be heading back to the ball," she nodded. This wasn't the best way to say it. It was kinda weird but anyway she said it and it was something right! She weakly smiled at them both. Yes at Torin. Of course she wasn't going to be like this all night, she just wanted to try and enjoy the rest of it. "See you later guys," and with that she walked back up to the ball hopeful that this whole thing would be sorted out before the night ended.

Cadence was walking through the ball, hair done up, ballroom gown flowing, ballroom heels clicking against the hard ground. She was on a mission. Mr. Torin Kane had promised to dance with her; he had convinced her to come to this stupid thing without a date of her own, and now he had disappeared, and she couldn't find him, but as soon as she did...

Then she spotted the back of a familiar head surrounded by a crowd of people. He looked sort of... down. Cadence walked over to him, her heeled feet and painted toes just barely visible under her dress. Once she reached him, she tapped him on the shoulder. "I'm here, Torin. I came," she said to him. She figured that was kind of a nice way to say, it's your fault I'm embarrassing myself by being here without an escort.

He felt a little bad that Lissa was walking off. But he knew that he could talk to her again later. He just needed to calm down a bit more, and then he would see her. He might even head back in to the ball.

"Maybe you're right, Miranda." He was hoping that she was because he didn't want them to be in there talking about him. "What a way to go out in style, huh? At least this is my last Year..." He would forever be known as the boy who wore a dress at the ball. How amazing of him.

And Cadence was here? What was with these girls and flocking to him? He nodded at her. He could see that she was here at the ball. And now if only he wasn't.

Maybe walking away from Seth had been a bit of bad idea, because she had kind of lost him, which was a little hard really because he was rather tall, as well as being rather good looking. The midget woman wandered out, to what looked like a pond to try and find him, although she had a feeling that he really would not be out here. Seth Paton was not the type of guy to enjoy a pond? Or maybe he was full of surprises, because in actual fact this pond area looked quite pretty, and cute. But then again maybe that was too girly for Seth.

Still Vanessa walked slowly out, before taking a seat on one of the benches. Oh he'd come and find her, and in the mean time maybe she would find someone interesting to talk to, because she was feeling kind of alone right now. Which was probably not good.

Even though the lady was a midget, Lyra knew instantly who's short, stubby legs they belonged too. It was a chance to get some fresh air and to chat about girlie things. She followed Vannie outside and to...a pond? Enchanting. Her green eyes shifted from side to side taking in the place that seemed rather empty to her taste of decorations. There was absolutely nothing PINK, or at least something that Professor Bunbury would have decorated with.

"I see youuuuu," she finally chimed in as her heels click-clacked across the walkway to where Vannie was sitting.

Vannie heard the heels clacking along the floor a few seconds before she heard the voice of her best friend, yet she still knew exactly who it was. Of course she did. Who else would it be? Lyra Noir was one of her only heel wearing friends. Her head shot up, and she grinned as she watched the woman approach. Oh Lyra looked so pretty. "Looks like no-one can hide from Miss Noir." She giggled, as she stood up, so that she could hug her friend as she got closer. She smoothed out her dress after she had stood up though, so that it wouldn't crease. And then her friend was here. Yey.

"You look beautiful Lyrraa." But then why wouldn't she? Lyra was always beautiful. She stepped forward carefully, and hugged her friend, before pulling back, and smiling.

Miranda BelCanto, right? She was the Hufflepuff Quidditch Captain. But there was no point mentioning it right now. "Thanks, but I can't eat more than a choco bar a day, I have terrible ways to spend all that energy." Yeah, she was hyper. That was why she played soccer in the first place. They were going to try to cheer up Torin to go back, or at least give a smile. And Miranda seemed like perfect doing so. That speech about LET NOBODY MAKE YOU FELL BAD ABOUT YOURSELF, AND YOU'RE AMAZING was excellent, and it looked like Torin was taking it.

And more girls stepped in. Candence, Melissa. The second one had been laughing at Torin and told the whole story. THAT WASN'T WORTH A LAUGH...STARE! But she was apologizing. That took courage, kiddo. But anyways, nobody deserved to laugh at cute Torin, 'cause he was nothing like that to anyone. Lissa left, and Candace had arrived. People wanted Torin inside. Not to laugh. Miranda was right, something might have happened and people forget things easly. YUH.

"See...I'm not the only one who wants you in, although dancing out here would be a great idea. At least the grass will soothen the pain from the shoes..." Annie told Torin, then smiled at him.
