It has been eighty-nine years since Voldermort has been banished by none other than Harry Potter. A new family, called Hoxac, were the second most powerful wizards and witches in Voldermort's day. Now that he's gone... they've been busy. The father, his only name is Hoxac, has killed many families in the last fifteen years. The mother went crazy, jumping off the Hoxac's mansion-almost-castle's balcony. The maid and cook both ran away, only to be captured and returned to Hoxac, eventually dying a strange, unknown death. Three of the families children also died in that mansion, all vanishing --- never to be seen again. Hoxac's brother and sister-in-law went to visit him, never to return home.

But now. Now. It's a new age. Hoxac was captured and brought to Azkaban eventually dying from insanity. His house, known as the Hoxac Mansion, was closed off to the public, only few have known about it's location.

A new professor in Hogwarts knows this location, bringing together a "search team" to investigate it. He has heard of the stories about the house, and he and the caretaker agreed to stay for one week.

The stories are gruesome, some just made up to scare little children and people --- since the Hoxac Mansion was well-known. The few people that knew about where the Mansion actually was never did want to go there --- in fear of one of the stories, about never appearing ever again, once you stepped inside the house, that is. No one wanted to go... and no one ever knew the real story about it.. until now.

Orion Rysen, nephew of the Late Hoxac, the parent's who went to visit him, is the only one who knows half the story that's behind the Evil Mansion. He was invited to the Mansion, no one knowing that he is related to the Murderer Hoxac. He wanted to go in hopes of finding out what happened to the parents --- and to his cousins.

From fights, perhaps *love*, and friends and enemies, the "search group" nicknamed "The Hoxac Group" will uncover what really happened at the house.

Please, this is an all made-up RP. No perfect people, or anything like that. All rules from SS apply. No special powers, it ruins the RP. And please, if you want to join, I'd like it if you'd be dedicated to the RP and not drop out when you just get a tiny bit confused. Sure, you can drop out, but don't through a temper-tantrum if you aren't getting the plot. People will tell you, so please don't keep asking about it.

Orion got up eventually, grabbing the history book and some food and holding them tight. He opened the door, then nodded a different way, going deeper and deeper into the Mansion. He glanced around, faced with two hallways, then looked back at the rest of them. "..Which way?" He asked, his voice tired and strained.

OoC: Sorry guys. I've been really busy nowadays but I'm back now.

Roma had been quietly watching everyone with their fights and all on one side of the room the entire time. When the glass had broken, she had managed some time to duck beneath a desk but still had a cut on her arm. She crawled out from under the desk and followed everyone out to the hall. She looked down both hallways. They looked the same to her. "Just a wild guess here, but I say we go left," she said, hoping that was the right way to go.

Nicholas stared at both hallways. "Dunno, they both look dark and scary to me. I'm with Roma here, left sounds good." He said, guessing. He supposed nothing could bring him to say the word 'right' in this mansion, because it seemed as if nothing was going right, so why should they?

Orion looked back at everyone, then nodded, continuing left, where it seemed to get darker and darker. He kept limping through the hallways, going always left. He stopped, then turned around to everyone when he thought they met a dead-end, then whirled around again, suddenly spying a small door. He went closer to it, then touched the doorknob, twisting it open and pushing the door open.

The door revealed stairs, that went up somewhere. It was dark and seemed dreary up in the stairs, wherever they went, but Orion really didn't want to go all the way back to the Mirror Room. He glanced back at everyone before taking a firm grip on the banister and limping up.

Roma followed behind Orion quietly. She felt as if they were being watched, but it didn't scare or suprise her. This mansion seemed to have enough surprises as it is. She was just very surprised to find more stair leading higher. She thought that they were already on the highest level, but obviously, she was wrong. She wondered what else could this mansion hold. It seemed it had at least a hundred rooms. And they hadn't even been in half of them.

Orion stopped again, as he came to a thin, wooden door that looked like it was burned on the front of it. He spied the doorknob to it, also twisting it open and pushing it. It creaked loudly as Orion peered into the room that it revealed.

It seemed like they came to an attic, which seemed to be forgotten. All around were old, antique things such as rocking chairs, clothes, boxes and chests and pictures. Orion went into the room, looking around it all. He found a lantern and lit it, the glow of the light lighting up half of the room.

He found a couch and dusted it off, also seeing a bookcase with only a few books inside. He glanced back at everyone, before sitting on the couch with a sigh, closing his eyes.

Roma walked into the room and sat down in one of the rocking chairs. It finally felt great to relax. There was no place that they could have been safe in this mansion. Wondering if they would be safe in here, she looked around at all the different antiques in the room.

Orion opened his eyes and glanced at Roma, noticing her cut arm. "Are you okay?" He asked softly, nodding to her arm. He didn't wait for an answer because it looked like she wasn't okay.

He glanced around the room before speaking again. "..I remember something about this room," he said, louder this time. "But.. it wasn't this room, exactly," he continued, suddenly getting up and slowly limping around. "..There's another room connected to this. It's.. somewhere in here." He paused, eyeing the bookcase with the few books inside of it. It seemed like Orion was blabbering about nothing, but he wasn't. He knew what he was talking about.

Roma looked over at Orion, obviously surprised. She covered up her bleeding arm with her hand and walked over to the bookshelf. "How do you remember this? You know so much about this mansion, it's almost as if you've been in here plenty of times before," she said to him, examining the bookshelf, ignoring the pain in her arm.

Rather shushed by Elisabeth's firm intervention, on his mental as well as his physical afflictions, Jakob had followed Orion rather silently, beginning to feel that nothing could surprise him anymore in that Mansion. He prefigurated everything. Even death. Or death, more than likely. He glanced at Orion, ruefully, and hoped he would know or remember what was exactly with that room. Meanwhile, he craddled his face with his hands and sighed, sitting on the couch.

Roma looked over at Jakob, who was not looking that well. She walked over and sat down next to him. "What's wrong?" she asked him, quietly. She looked around for some sort of cloth for her arm. It was getting quite annoying having to hold it. Finding an old tablecloth, she ripped part of it and tied it around the part that was bleeding.

Orion went silent when Roma said this, only glancing back at Jakob. He turned to Roma again before saying, "A story. I remembered a story." He only answered one question before also going over to the bookshelf and inspecting it. He looked towards the back of the bookshelf, where it was against the wall before catching his breath and staring at Roma. "Come on, help me push this," he said, grabbing hold of one side of the bookshelf and tugging at it, trying to get it off of the wall.

"I'll help you. Her arm is injured." Jakob said simply, getting up and nearing Orion. At least, the guy's line had the power to wake him from the state that he had been in for time immemorial.

Orion nodded at Jakob, continuing to tug at the bookcase so it kept moving up more and more inches. A few minutes later, the bookcase was fully off the wall and Orion stopped, going over to the wall behind the bookcase and suddenly having a small smile.

The door that he said was in the room was right infront of them, having been cleverly hidden behind the tall but not big, bookcase. He glanced around at everyone, before nodding to it. "This. The door I said," he said, stating the obvious. He was about to open the door when he noticed there was no doorknob on it.

"..Does anyone know how to get into rooms without using the doorknob?" He asked, meaning about hacking their way into the room.

"No, I'm fine," Roma answered, getting up. "I'm only bleeding. It's not a big thing." She walked over to where Orion and Jakob were and started pulling at the bookshelf. It was quite heavy. "How did Hoxac get into the room everyday? I'm sure he couldn't have pulled this things away every time he wanted to get inside," she said after the bookshelf was off the wall. "I have no idea how to open the door."

Orion shook his head. "How do you know it was Hoxac?" He asked her, looking around. "All I remember is about this door. I've heard the story before.. but.. I don't remember it right now," he said, still blabbering.

Jakob remained contemplating the room, his mind drifting to what Roma had said about Hoxac. Was it really one of his rooms? The thought of being in it disgusted him. So he determined his mind to focus on something else. Like Roma's wound.
"It doesn't look well to me. Can I do something, then?" he asked with an innocent look, wanting to be of some service.

"I don't know," Roma answered him, taking the cloth off it and inspecting it. "There might be some pieces of the mirror in there but I can't tell. Is there anything you could do?" she asked him. She knew he was no doctor but she couldn't just leave pieces of the mirror in there.

"Em, you'll just have to trust me on this one." Jakob said dejectedly. He was fearing he might do something wrong, but he paid milimetric attention to every fragment of shattered glass, as he inspected her injury. He wrapped his smallest finger in a piece of clean cloth and neatly took out about three pieces, working their way out of her hand with a gentle nudge.
Growing up alone meant he had to learn to take care of himself in every domain, with or without the aid of magic. And this was one thing he was pleased with at the moment.

Roma gasped out of pain and flinched as the last piece came out. "Thanks," she said to him. She ripped off another piece of the old tablecloth and wrapped in back around her arm to stop it from bleeding more. "Now we need to figure out how we're going to get inside the room."

Orion was already working on it. He tried looking through the keyhole, then, seeing nothing, he stared at the hinges on the door and looked back at Roma and Jakob. "The hinges," he said slowly, pointing to them. "If we could just take them off, I bet we could open up this door."

Nicholas lay Elizabeth down on a couch by the wall, and then returned his attention to everyone else and the door. "Er, door with no doorknob...My immediate reaction here is either push it, or bust it open, but i'd need an opinion first..." He said, scratching his head, looking around to see if anyone was planning on letting him kick it open.

Orion shook his head. "It's locked. And it seems like something heavy is on the opposite side, so if you'd try to bust it open, you'll probably just rebound and fall on the floor," he paused, then added, "not to mention that your leg would hurt like ****."

He glanced around again, looking for something to knock off the hinges with.

"Er, thanks. That makes me feel so much more confident..." Nicholas said, thinking a 'no' would've worked just a well. "Maybe if we hit it with something? like a makeshift battering ram. Or maybe that would just make the situation worse..."
