It has been eighty-nine years since Voldermort has been banished by none other than Harry Potter. A new family, called Hoxac, were the second most powerful wizards and witches in Voldermort's day. Now that he's gone... they've been busy. The father, his only name is Hoxac, has killed many families in the last fifteen years. The mother went crazy, jumping off the Hoxac's mansion-almost-castle's balcony. The maid and cook both ran away, only to be captured and returned to Hoxac, eventually dying a strange, unknown death. Three of the families children also died in that mansion, all vanishing --- never to be seen again. Hoxac's brother and sister-in-law went to visit him, never to return home.

But now. Now. It's a new age. Hoxac was captured and brought to Azkaban eventually dying from insanity. His house, known as the Hoxac Mansion, was closed off to the public, only few have known about it's location.

A new professor in Hogwarts knows this location, bringing together a "search team" to investigate it. He has heard of the stories about the house, and he and the caretaker agreed to stay for one week.

The stories are gruesome, some just made up to scare little children and people --- since the Hoxac Mansion was well-known. The few people that knew about where the Mansion actually was never did want to go there --- in fear of one of the stories, about never appearing ever again, once you stepped inside the house, that is. No one wanted to go... and no one ever knew the real story about it.. until now.

Orion Rysen, nephew of the Late Hoxac, the parent's who went to visit him, is the only one who knows half the story that's behind the Evil Mansion. He was invited to the Mansion, no one knowing that he is related to the Murderer Hoxac. He wanted to go in hopes of finding out what happened to the parents --- and to his cousins.

From fights, perhaps *love*, and friends and enemies, the "search group" nicknamed "The Hoxac Group" will uncover what really happened at the house.

Please, this is an all made-up RP. No perfect people, or anything like that. All rules from SS apply. No special powers, it ruins the RP. And please, if you want to join, I'd like it if you'd be dedicated to the RP and not drop out when you just get a tiny bit confused. Sure, you can drop out, but don't through a temper-tantrum if you aren't getting the plot. People will tell you, so please don't keep asking about it.

Orion glanced at Jakob, then looked at Hoxac and Annabella, going over to Jakob and offering a smile. This old Orion seemed more wild and daring, and most of the ladies at the ball were giving him and Jakob looks of awe and admiration. And many of them were giggling and acting flirty. He nodded towards the open doors, then whispered to Jakob, loud enough for the group to hear, "..Want to go to the balcony? Like we used to? Sneak out.. you know?" He asked, wriggling his eyebrows in a "yes" gesture, if that's possible.

A pretty girl, that looked a little younger than Orion and Jakob, came up to them and the group, her stomach unusually large. You could tell that she was pregnant, and that she was Orion's girlfriend. "..Jakob, it's so nice to see you," she started, her voice soft but warm. "It's Lynn, in case you don't remember," she finished, holding her stomach. She looked around, then suddenly froze as she saw the group. It was as if she saw a ghost, her face going pale. She squinted, then shook her head as Hoxac came up.

Hoxac went over to them, grinning broadly. He touched Orion's shoulder, then glanced at Jakob. "Jakob! My boy, how are you?" Hoxac sounded glad to see Jakob, and he gestured around. "Have fun. Mingle, dance!" Hoxac said, spreading his arms out wide and turning to leave. He suddenly turned back, then glanced at Roma, Elizabeth and Nicholas. "..Who're you? New people? Welcome. Dance, eat, have fun." It seemed as if the three were invisible for the time being, suddenly becoming solid, as they got used to the surrondings.

Orion frowned, as he saw Elizabeth and Roma and Nicholas, then taking Lynn's hand and pulling Jakob away from them, the three of them getting lost in the crowd of people.

"Orion!" Nicholas called out hopelessly...he was already gone by then, leaving him, Elizabeth, and Roma, totally deserted and alone. "Well this sucks." He said, kicking at the floor with his new dress shoes. "What do we do now?" He was counting on one of them to have a plan...after all, he had been left alone with the two smartest girls in the group, so one of them had to have some sort of idea.

Roma around out for Jakob and the others, tears starting to form in her eyes. "We have to find him! I don't know if he could take the pressure of seeing his parents being murdered again. Nicholas, we can't just let him die!" she yelled out to him, the tears finally falling from her eyes. She wasn't going to let Jakob die. They both promised eachother that they would look out for one another on this trip - and she was intending on keeping that promise.

Nicholas sighed, putting his hand on Roma's shoulder to let her know he was there for her. "Fine. Let's go find him." He agreed, getting a really bad feeling about this. "But where the heck did he go?" They had been ruthlessly ditched in the middle of a crowded ballroom, and he was starting to get the feeling that they were really lost about now.

"I was hoping you would know," she said to him, whiping the tears away. She didn't want to draw too much attention to herself in this crowd. "I don't think Jakob told us where his parents got killed. I remember he said something about there being a balcony. Do you know where a balcony is?" This mansion was so big, she doubted that there was only one balcony around.

As it seemed, the already crowded ballroom got more crowded, but it was a big room, and everyone was spread out. A few minutes later, you could see Lynn in the crowd, standing next to Jakob, seeming to be talking to him.

Orion, however, wasn't there. It seemed like he wasn't even in the room. A few seconds later, however, he reappeared, infront of Nicholas, Roma, and Elizabeth. He narrowed his eyes at Roma's shouting, then stared at them. "Who are you guys? And how do you know Jakob? Do you know Lynn to?" Orion suddenly went pale, continuing really fast. "B-but.. how can you know Lynn? We didn't tell anyone.. about.. " he trailed off, waiting for their answers.

Roma cleared her throat, making sure she didn't sound like she was crying. "We're friends of Jakob's. And don't worry. We know nothing about you nor Lynn," she lied. It was better for them that Orion hadn't recognized them. She hoped that Jakob, at the least, would, though.

Nicholas ran his fingers through his hair. It looked like he was going to have to take charge here-Roma was an absolute mess. He was about to reply to her when Orion showed up looking frantic. "Yeah...sure, what she said. Do you know where Jakob is?"

Orion narrowed his eyes, then shook his head. "No, I don't," he lied, just like Roma, with an expressionless face. He was so different back then, to the Orion in the future. He glanced into the crowd, then glanced back at them. "Where'd you meet Jakob then?"

Roma looked as if she was ready to cry again. "Just take us to Jakob. Please," she pleaded. She felt time was running out. Jakob couldn't stand to see this scene any longer. He didn't want to see his parents being murdered again. There had to be something she could do.

Orion studied Roma's face, then folded his arms across his chest. "..Why?" He asked, shaking his head. "Tell me why, and I might consider it." He stared at them, as Lynn came up, and pulling her close to him.

Roma swallowed hard. She didn't know what to say. A million lies were coming through her head all at once, but none of them she could think that would fool Orion. "Because I'm in love with him!" she yelled to them. She hoped that they would buy it. She knew that him and Lynn were in love and she could somehow use it against them. "I mean, what would you do if you were seperated from the one you love? Please...take me to him."

"It's a very, very long story. You won't believe a word of it." Nicholas said from prior editing experience. This was going to be harder then he thought. Then he listened to what Roma had to say. "Yeah. And there's that too." He added on for good measure.

Orion glanced down at Lynn, then turned to walk away. He was obviously thinking about something, when he turned back. "In love with him?" He blinked, then shook his head. "How come he never told me about you?" He shrugged, then glanced around. "..Why do you want to see him so badly? Preparing to propose to him?"

Roma shook her head. "No. I just wanted to tell him that I loved him. And that's why you never heard of me before. Because I don't know if he loves me back. Please let me go tell him. I'm sure if you loved someone, and someone else was preventing you from telling her, you would do just about anything to go see her again." She didn't know what she was saying, or even if she made any sense saying it. All she knew was that she had to save Jakob.

Nicholas nodded his head at what Roma was saying. "Right, and, well, i don't love him, but we sort of have to come too." He said, gesturing to himself and Elizabeth. Sure this was working just fine for Roma, but not so much for him.

Orion shook his head. "The person I love already knows I love them. And I know I'll see her again, because she won't die, until we're both 98 years old and living together with a big house and lots of children," he said, gesturing to Lynn. "...No one would want me to not see her again, and no one would kill her. I know no one would. And if they did, I.. would shut myself up and not talk that much. Depression, heard of it?" He sighed, then turned his back on them, walking away. He suddenly paused, then glanced back. "..If you really are... telling me the truth... he's over there. But you only have a minute, then he's going with me," Orion said, walking with Lynn over to Jakob.

Roma followed them until they took her to Jakob. As soon as she saw, she ran up and threw her arms around him. While in the hug, she whispered "Jakob, we have to get out of here! Don't fall for his trap!" She retrieved from her hug and looked at him with tears in her eyes. "I love you, Jakob!" she said aloud so that Lynn and Orion could hear also.

ooc: oh my I go on missin for one night and there's such a twist! I'll just play along, then...

Jakob was quite surprised to receive such a willful reaction from someone he didn't quite recall. It wasn't an unusual thing for him, but the suddenness of the moment bemused him. Why would a girl, even a pretty one such as this one, whisper oddities into his ear, acting like she knew him, and then screaming out she loved him?
"What trap? Listen... I don't think we've met before, how can you love me?" he turned his gaze towards Orion, mouthing the word "Girls...".

Roma looked surprisingly at Jakob. "You mean...you don't remember me?" She looked back at Nicholas and Elizabeth, hoping for one of them to have a good idea as to what they do now. "It's Roma, Jakob. You have to remember me." It was really frustrating to not have him remember. If he didn't remember any of them, then how was he going to survive this memory? All they could do was hope that he didn't fall for Hoxac's trap. "Listen, Jakob. You're parents are going to get murdered tonight."

The young man blinked and exchanged another glance with Orion.
"Roma... no, afraid I don't remember you..." in the meantime, some of the ladies who hovered around him were throwing the girl dirty looks.
When her retaliation came, he couldn't believe his ears; was she for real?
"How... how dare you? Such nonsense... my parents are perfectly fine, and there's no reason to even consider it otherwise." Jakob started, though he did gaze in the direction of his mother and father, who were waltzing together across the room, and smiled at him as they saw him following their dance.

This was useless. Jakob didn't remember a thing. There was no way to make him think otherwise of the warning. "Fine, then. I guess you don't remember me. That's too bad for you. But don't come crying to me when you're parents are murdered," she replied, rather coldly, to Jakob. She walked off back to where Nicholas and Elizabeth were. "It's no use. He doesn't remember us."

Jakob stared at her distancing form, utterly confused. Back then, however, he was much more careless and daring, and after shouting to Roma ("I respect myself, I don't cry!") he turned to Orion and Lynn, and folding his arms, spoke, in a tone that revealed as much amazement as it had earlier revealed anger, before Hoxac had recurred to this:
"Well, what did you think of that? I can't believe the methods that they invent just to get to me..." He nudged Orion, then smiled warmly at his girlfriend. "It's because I'm not taken."

Orion shook his head, as he also grinned. He glanced back at Roma, Elizabeth and Nicholas, then shrugged. "Outsiders. She must've heard of you through friends. Maybe she decided that if she said that...awful.. things to you, then you might believe her, and you would run away with her," Orion finished, always having a big imagination. He let go of Lynn, where she walked off, then nodded towards the open doors. "..Shall we go, then?" He asked, wriggling his eyebrows again.

"Ha, ha, the things you say!" Jakob laughed, smoothening his hair. He looked in the direction of Roma and the others, and shrugged, paying no more weight to it than it was normal to.
"Yeah, then again, remind me, where are we going?"
