It has been eighty-nine years since Voldermort has been banished by none other than Harry Potter. A new family, called Hoxac, were the second most powerful wizards and witches in Voldermort's day. Now that he's gone... they've been busy. The father, his only name is Hoxac, has killed many families in the last fifteen years. The mother went crazy, jumping off the Hoxac's mansion-almost-castle's balcony. The maid and cook both ran away, only to be captured and returned to Hoxac, eventually dying a strange, unknown death. Three of the families children also died in that mansion, all vanishing --- never to be seen again. Hoxac's brother and sister-in-law went to visit him, never to return home.

But now. Now. It's a new age. Hoxac was captured and brought to Azkaban eventually dying from insanity. His house, known as the Hoxac Mansion, was closed off to the public, only few have known about it's location.

A new professor in Hogwarts knows this location, bringing together a "search team" to investigate it. He has heard of the stories about the house, and he and the caretaker agreed to stay for one week.

The stories are gruesome, some just made up to scare little children and people --- since the Hoxac Mansion was well-known. The few people that knew about where the Mansion actually was never did want to go there --- in fear of one of the stories, about never appearing ever again, once you stepped inside the house, that is. No one wanted to go... and no one ever knew the real story about it.. until now.

Orion Rysen, nephew of the Late Hoxac, the parent's who went to visit him, is the only one who knows half the story that's behind the Evil Mansion. He was invited to the Mansion, no one knowing that he is related to the Murderer Hoxac. He wanted to go in hopes of finding out what happened to the parents --- and to his cousins.

From fights, perhaps *love*, and friends and enemies, the "search group" nicknamed "The Hoxac Group" will uncover what really happened at the house.

Please, this is an all made-up RP. No perfect people, or anything like that. All rules from SS apply. No special powers, it ruins the RP. And please, if you want to join, I'd like it if you'd be dedicated to the RP and not drop out when you just get a tiny bit confused. Sure, you can drop out, but don't through a temper-tantrum if you aren't getting the plot. People will tell you, so please don't keep asking about it.

Jakob raised an eyebrow at Orion. What did he mean by that? Was he trying to scare him off? It kind of didn't sound like a thing Orion would say.
"You're joking, are you?" Jakob asked, with a still gleam of hope in his eyes, though it wasn't Hoxac killing him he was afraid of, really.

Orion glanced at Jon, then nodded and headed down the way Jon pointed. He also raised his eyebrows at Jakob, returning the stare. "..No. I'm not joking," he said clearly, stating the truth, though.. he didn't know what was going on anymore. "I.. honestly think... that we'll be stuck here," he said, admitting that he didn't know what would happen anymore.

John followed Orion. 'Seems so. Is there a library in here or something?' He asked. Maybe the answer was in a book... Now, he was acting like an old friend of his who had the book mania. Maybe the guy would know what to do in that moment. Jonathan knew he had to start thinking well again, but that house seemed to make all his hopes and everything he knew go away, vanish.

"Well that's just great!" Nicholas exclaimed, kicking the wall in frustration. "Now what are we supposed to do?" He leaned his back on the wall, slowly sliding down until he was sitting on the floor against the wall with his knees up. He had a few minor cuts and bruises on him, and was bleeding a bit on his arms, but they didn't seem to bother him at the moment. After all-what were a few cuts to an eternity in a haunted mansion?

"Can't we just go back the way we came?" He asked, not sure if he could remember the way they came. "Or does anyone have a compass or something?" He said, trying to remember if he had brought his, checking his pockets.

Orion shook his head. "I never been to these parts of the Mansion before," he said slowly, looking around. He went over to Nicholas, then looked down at him. "Are you okay?" He asked, eyeing the cuts and bruises, probably from the flying books.

Nicholas nodded his head. "Yeah, i'm allright now. Just had a freak out moment." He said, standing up, sighing. "I am, however, still a little ****** off that my jacket's been ruined." He laughed, examining the damage done to his dragon-hide leather jacket.

Roma didn't even flinch when Orion had said that they were stuck there. She was used to hearing bad news. And after that encounter with Hoxac, himself, anything was possible. "So do you have any more great news for us?" she asked Orion sarcastically. She rolled her eyes when Nicholas said that his jacket had been ruined. "We have people that are hurt here and all you can think about is your jacket?"

Orion cracked a smile before glancing down the hallway that they were suppossed to go down. He suddenly dropped his mouth open, his eyes going wide. He backed up alittle, then looked around frantically.

Behind Orion was the butler --- though, he was hanging in a noose from the low ceiling. It looked like he was dead, but his eyes were wide open and staring at them, gesturing them to come closer. In a few minutes the butler was gone, only to reveal two small figures coming towards them with a mist surronding them. The mist opened up, revealing that it was Keon and Liala, though, their eyes seemed kind of evil, and so did their glares. They were holding hands, but saying something.

Laila and Keon's glare softened, as their voices were heard.

"Come play with us, Jakob!" Laila's tiny voice came towards them, though seemingly to be "coated in honey" which meant that is was innocent and sweet, impossible to ignore. Some say that it was called hypnotizing by sound.

Keon also gestured to them, backing up a bit, into the darkness. "You too, Jon, Nicholas, Orion, Elizabeth, Katrina and Roma," he said in a low voice, naming all of them that were present but his voice just as hypnotizing and impossible to ignore.

Orion started moving forward, his sight and hearing enchanted by their sweet-sounding voices. He knew that once he went with them, there was no turning back.. that once he took their tiny, out-stretched hands.. he would never return.. he would become one of them. He knew this, but.. he wanted to play hide and seek with them so bad.. it seemed.. like so much fun. Orion was getting closer and closer to them, not noticing whether the others were just at enchanted as he was, when he suddenly pulled away, going to the wall and pressing his face against it. He ripped off some rags from his shirt, then stuffed them in his ears, blocking out the sound of the two children.
He then turned his back on them, looking around for the others, trying to see if they were in a trance as he was. He focused on not going to the children, concentrating very hard.. he knew that many of them didn't know how to break off the trance, and they were in danger. But he was ready to stop whoever tried to get past him to the children.

Nicholas blushed. "I...er..." He couldn't think of anything to say. "Nevermind." He said, getting the clear impression that she definitely didn't like him. He shrugged it off his shoulders, and continued on. "Well...is there any way we could figure out at least what direction it is we're going? After all, we're in this together." He said, emphasizing the word and looking at Roma. The least he could do was make sure he die with a grudge.

Roma, too, started following the little children's voices. But when she saw Orion hold back, she knew that following them would lead to something bad. Trying her hardest, she tried to block out the sound in her head and stop walking.

When it didn't work, she forcefully lifted up her hands and covered her ears with them. Do..not..follow them. Bad... She kept trying to motivate herself to not go any further. When it still wasn't working, she dropped to her knees so she couldn't go any further. It had worked. Now she just need the voices to stop.

Orion struggled to walk over to Roma, it was as if the children were pulling them into some vortex, that they couldn't walk away. He dropped down, then half-crawled over to her, handing her some pieces of his ripped shirt. He was kind of half-worried that he wouldn't have any shirt left, since it was cold in the Mansion, but not really. "Don't look at them!" he yelled to her. He looked around for Nicholas or Jakob or Jon or ELizabeth or Katrina or someone else, to see if they were having trouble.

Roma took the pieces of his shirt, greatfully. It would really help. She covered her ears in it and looked away from the children. Don't look at them. Don't listen to them. Do not make any contact with them at all. She struggled to keep on her knees so that she didn't just get up and start walking over to them. With her muscles tensed, she tried her hardest to keep her mind on a happy thought.

Nicholas had been too preoccupied with talking to Roma to notice the children 'till now, as he trailed off. Before he could tell what was going on, he felt himself being carried away by little voices. Resistance wasn't even in his head...just the nice feeling he got from the voices.

Orion suddenly noticed Nicholas, then, with a concerned sound/cry, he hurled himself at Nicholas, knocking him to the ground. Orion rolled alittle away from Nicholas, but got up in a hurry and went over to him, trying to rip a piece of his shirt for earplugs, but it wasn't coming off. He looked over at Nicholas, then yelled, "Block your ears! Don't listen or look at them, man! Do you hear me?!" He kept trying to make alot of noise, so that the voices wouldn't be heard. He didn't know whether he was sucessfully or not.

Roma grabbed Nicholas's hand, pulling him down with her. "Don't...look at them. Cover your ears!" she yelled out to him. She too was trying her hardest to resist their voices. Nicholas didn't even look like he was even trying. She had to get him to snap out of his phase. She took one hand away from her ear and quickly slapped him across the face before quickly covering her ear up again.

After being both tackled, slapped, and yelled at, Nicholas got the hint and covered up his ears with his jacket sleeves. He hadn't even noticed he was being hypnotized...

He wanted to scream out his thanks to the both of them, but realized that would be pointless because they were both trying to avoid hearing anything, so instead he just nodded his thanks, hoping they would get the message.

Orion, with his back to the spectres, understood what Nicholas said, and nodded back.

With a cry of rage, both of the spectres stopped talking in their honey-coated voices, focusing on the group. Laila let go of Keon's hand, pointing it at Orion and mumbling something.

Instantly Orion flew up, his head hitting the ceiling, making a banging sort of noise, and rammed into the wall, a cracking sound filling up the room. He fell to the ground once Laila lowered her arm, slumping to the ground, his eyes closed, him unconcious.

A few seconds later, a sound of un-latching of doors came from all over the place, the sounds of doors unlocking. Laila looked around, then glanced at Keon.

Keon was staring at Nicholas, his eyes narrowed. He seemed like he was focusing on something, and instantly, a flame appeared on Nicholas's arms. Keon then switched his gaze to Roma, doing the same thing. He then focused on Jakob and Elizabeth and Katrina and Jon, a wind coming from no-where and knocking them down.

With satisfied looks passed to each other, Laila and Keon took hold of their hands and started slowly moving forward for the group.

"Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah!" Nicholas screamed out, flailing his arm about, trying to beat it out, blow on it, or spit on it...pretty much whatever he could think of. Being on fire was something that didn't usually happen to him, so he wasn't quite sure how he was supposed to deal with it. "******* ****!"

Soon enough the flames were put out, and he had to deal with the new problem at hand...the spectres walking toward him...Yet another situation he wasn't sure how to deal with. He began backing away, when he remembered the knife in his pocket. Roma's gonna hate me for this, but what else can i do? He thought to himself, pulling the knife out.

Roma tried to put out the flame on her arm by blowing. Of course, she wasn't thinking that this would make the fire bigger but realized that it did when her arm caught more ablaze then it already was. She took her hand off of her ears and tried to hit that one spot until the flame went out. When it did, she tried to do the same to the flame on Nicholas's arm. She grabbed the arm that his knife was in first and shot him an angry glance. "You'll only make them angrier!"

Laila eyed the knife in Nicholas's hand, then smirked. "Dear little Nicholas.. you cannot kill us," she said in a pouty voice. She glanced at Keon, a mix of messages spreading across her pale face.

Keon also gave a small smirk, then narrowed his eyes at Nicholas, both of them stopping infront of the unconcious Orion. He flicked his pale blue eyes down at Orion, a softened look crossing his face, then he scowled, looking at Nicholas again. "Fool, put that away. Before.. HE comes.. he's angry, at you. At all of you. He'll... kill all of you.. if you get him angry.." he said, threatening yet giving them a warning at the same time. He leaned down, taking Orion's arm. "Do you want to see your little friend again?" He asked, in a low voice.

"Orion!" Roma whispered with a worried glint in her eyes. She turned back to Nicholas. "Come on, Nicholas. Put it down! Don't let Orion get hurt for you stupidity." She grasped the hand that was holding the knife and tried to put the arm down at his side. She had told him not to take the knife out earlier. She knew that it would only get the spectres angrier. Now they were angry beyond reasoning and she didn't want anyone hurt because of it.

Nicholas grunted. He hated being wrong, but he didn't want to put Orion, or anyone for that matter, in danger. He threw the knife on the floor. "Um...we come in peace?" He said, not quite sure what to say. He was sure Roma probably had something smarter in mind...i mean they were standing right in front of them, so why not a conversation, right?

"But I don't want you hurting anyone else just because i'm an idiot. I'd rather you hurt me instead, i'm the dumb one." He said, speaking mostly about Orion at the moment, but the rest of them as well.

Cami, who was sleeping unaware of what was going on ran to where she heard a noise. When she saw Orion on the floor she gasped and turned white, praying he wasn't seriously hurt. She turned to Roma... "Wha-What's going on?" She whispered glancing around her surroundings.

"I'd prefer it if they didn't hurt anyone," whispered Roma to Nicholas. She turned back to the spectres. "Listen, we didn't mean to hurt you. We...wanted you to leave Orion alone. We just want to know the truth." She looked at both of them, from one to the other, hoping for an answer. She doubted she was going to get one, though. Her guess was that their father was watching their every move.

Keon smirked, then raised his arm to do serious damage to Nicholas. He stared at Roma, then shook his head as he let go of Orion's arm, accidently kicking him when he stood up, then suddenly turned around, as if he heard someone.

Another figure was coming out of the mist, this time, more taller. It looked like a woman, not quite Annabella. In fact, it was Ophelia.

It seemed like they were having a fight right infront of the group. Laila had already vanished, and Ophelia and Keon were shouting back in forth, though, no voices could be heard. Keon suddenly vanished, as Ophelia walked over to Orion, bending down and staring at him, her face and eyes soft. She stood up, still not noticing the rest of them, and turned to walk away. Suddenly she turned around and stared at them, focusing her gaze on Nicholas and Jakob, then shook her head. "..He's coming," she whispered, barely loud enough for themt to hear her. "Go.." With that, she vanished.
