It has been eighty-nine years since Voldermort has been banished by none other than Harry Potter. A new family, called Hoxac, were the second most powerful wizards and witches in Voldermort's day. Now that he's gone... they've been busy. The father, his only name is Hoxac, has killed many families in the last fifteen years. The mother went crazy, jumping off the Hoxac's mansion-almost-castle's balcony. The maid and cook both ran away, only to be captured and returned to Hoxac, eventually dying a strange, unknown death. Three of the families children also died in that mansion, all vanishing --- never to be seen again. Hoxac's brother and sister-in-law went to visit him, never to return home.

But now. Now. It's a new age. Hoxac was captured and brought to Azkaban eventually dying from insanity. His house, known as the Hoxac Mansion, was closed off to the public, only few have known about it's location.

A new professor in Hogwarts knows this location, bringing together a "search team" to investigate it. He has heard of the stories about the house, and he and the caretaker agreed to stay for one week.

The stories are gruesome, some just made up to scare little children and people --- since the Hoxac Mansion was well-known. The few people that knew about where the Mansion actually was never did want to go there --- in fear of one of the stories, about never appearing ever again, once you stepped inside the house, that is. No one wanted to go... and no one ever knew the real story about it.. until now.

Orion Rysen, nephew of the Late Hoxac, the parent's who went to visit him, is the only one who knows half the story that's behind the Evil Mansion. He was invited to the Mansion, no one knowing that he is related to the Murderer Hoxac. He wanted to go in hopes of finding out what happened to the parents --- and to his cousins.

From fights, perhaps *love*, and friends and enemies, the "search group" nicknamed "The Hoxac Group" will uncover what really happened at the house.

Please, this is an all made-up RP. No perfect people, or anything like that. All rules from SS apply. No special powers, it ruins the RP. And please, if you want to join, I'd like it if you'd be dedicated to the RP and not drop out when you just get a tiny bit confused. Sure, you can drop out, but don't through a temper-tantrum if you aren't getting the plot. People will tell you, so please don't keep asking about it.

"I dunno, does it sound human to you? Maybe they had animals and they turned into Spectres, too." Jakob opinionated, still going through the papers. He stepped behind the desk, trying to open its compartments, in look for personal belongings, but he couldn't do anything to them. They were dead set on staying closed. Jakob cursed, putting a leg against the bureau, and using his entire strength to slam one open. The window instantly snapped closed after this happened.
Jakob stared at Nicholas, with a large piece of wood in his hand, breathing slowly.

"I'm going to go check what the other group is doing. I'll be right back," Roma said before turning into her animagus form, a hawk, and flying away. She flew into the room where she heard the voices coming from. She turned back into human form. "Hey guys. Find anything of interest?" she asked Jakob and John.

Suddenly, the window closed and the noises died out. "It...it stopped." Nicholas said, relaxing slightly and breathing a sigh of relief. "We didn't find much...just...well, a bunch of specters really." He had given up on calling them creepy ghosties. These were more than creepy ghosties, they were downright scary. "How about you?"

Jakob stared at Roma, wide-eyed, as if unsure he was going to see her again. He had an impulse to go hug her, but doing that with a piece of large wood in his hand might have looked foolish, so he didn't. Instead he smiled at her:
"We're trying to find something of interest... like a diary or something." he said, putting down the wood. "Are you allright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. All we found was a spectre. It was the youngest girl. She came out of nowhere and told us to get out of her room so we left. We didn't find anything else after that. It was really creepy, though," Roma told them. "I was hoping that you guys were okay. I don't know what to expect from this place anymore." She walked up to Jakob and hugged him. After what had happened, she didn't think that she would see him every again. "Are you guys okay?" she asked, withdrawing from her hug.

"Err... now I'm ok." Jakob chimed, answering her hug with a glint in his eyes. "It's just... we saw them dance in the Ballroom. I saw Hoxac and he seemed so real, maybe if I had tried to..." but he realised he was strutting away from reason, and he stopped.

"I know you want revenge on Hoxac but trying to kill something that's not real isn't going to help anything," Roma whispered to him. "Hoxac's dead. There's nothing more you can do, Jakob." She took his hand in hers again and wished she could stay. It had felt so awkward being away from him. She had felt so unprotected.

Jakob bit his lip. If he wasn't dead, then why was he still roaming ballrooms and such? He had been a ******* in real life, apparently thus he was going to continue after his death. "He's not dead. Not really..." he mumbled, looking into Roma's eyes and thinking.

Roma sighed. Unfortunatley, Jakob wanted revenge so bad, he couldn't see reality. "Hoxac died, Jakob. He died of insanity in Azkaban. What you saw was just a spectre. You can't kill a spectre," Roma told him, looking into his eyes.

Katrina left the room and went to see what the others were doing. 'Are you guys okay?' she asked. She looked over at everyone and saw that something was wrong. 'What happened?' she asked.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." the bloke acknowledged, listening to her attentively, as if he heard that information for the first time. "I honestly don't know what happened..." he answered to Katrina, then went back to his line of thoughts:
"There has to be some way I can get revenge, though."

"Trust me, you don't want to know." Nicholas responded, leaning against the wall. This whole thing was getting exhausting...although Elizabeth had a point. It was certainly interesting. He wasn't necessarily afraid, just...intrigued. It was all so different from what he was used to that it was exhilerating.

Orion however, was in the walk-in closet, looking around the dusty dresses. He sighed, then turned to leave. Instantly, the whole room dropped thirty degrees or so. Orion jumped back from the cold, hitting his shoulder on the dresses, making them all fall ontop of him. He was struggling to push them off when he suddenly froze, staring into the eyes of the oldest child, Ophelia. She was mouthing something, pointing to the small bookcase in the walk-in closet. She walked around Orion, going over to the bookcase and pulling a book halfway out from the bookcase. She turned, as a rumbling noise started, shaking the room and the house. A tiny trap door flew open on the side, where the fallen dresses used to be. Orion stared speechless, as Ophelia walked down the stairs in the trap door, making no noise what-so-ever.

Orion jumped up, pushing the dusty dresses off of him and peering down the trap door. Ophelia couldn't be seen. He stumbled backwards, then burst into the parent's room again, trying to catch his breath. "..A trap-door...Ophelia.. look," he mumbled, pointing to the closet, then disappearing inside it again.

Roma smiled as he finally understood that he couldn't kill Hoxac. "There is. Just solve this mystery and get out here alive with the rest of us. That's revenge. I'm sure that he intended for everyone to come into this mansion to get killed. Get out here alive and you've spoiled his plans. It's that simple. The only unsimple part is actually getting out of here. We're locked in, remember?" She shivered at the thought of being stuck in this haunted mansion forever, but then tried her best to push the thoughts out of her mind.

"Yeah, Roma." Jakob agreed, but his heart was half into it. As that would have been half revenge. But he wasn't going to die in there. As wasn't the girl standing next to him.
Noticing Orion barge into the room, and mumble something about a trap door, he quickly led Roma to where the bloke had disappeared, looking with some regret back to Hoxac's room, where he had left his study unsearched.

Katrina went to see what Orion was talking about. She looked down and saw the trap door. 'How very interesting' she said more to herself than anyone else. She looked over at the others to see if they were coming.

"A what?" Nicholas asked, following Orion to wherever he was going. Well that doesn't sound safe, he thought, once more checking his jacket to make sure he still had the gun. Did he actually plan on using it? He had no clue, but perhaps...

Roma looked down into the trap door. It was really dark so she couldn't really see anything. Oh no. Another life-threatening situation I have to walk into. "Great. So now we all have to go down there?" she asked Orion with a very unenthusiastic voice.

Orion stared at it, then went down the stairs, without questioning it.

He came into a small room only to hold about 5 people. A table and chair was there, along with a few dead roses. The air smelled like perfume, fresh perfume, as if the person wearing the perfume was standing next to him.

On the table was a tattered old diary. It had scraps of paper hanging out of it, and it had a lock on it. Orion picked up the diary and stared at it, reading the cover. "Annabella's diary.."

Walking in front, wary as to what he may encounter downstairs, Jakob reached the small room, engulfed in a sort of unearthly smell. His eyes immediately fell on the diary. A small feeling of regret came upon him when he heard it wasn't Hoxac's, but Annabella fascinated him, nonetheless.
"Will we read through it?" he asked Orion, curiously.

Roma came down the stairs after Orion and smelled the room. It smiled really good. Kind of like one of her perfumes at home. She read over Orion's shoulder at the diary and gasped. This is going to help us solve a lot of things. "Since this place really small, we should bring that upstairs so we could all examine it," she said to Orion.

Ooc: Argh. I gotta go eat. I'll be back later.

Orion nodded, taking the diary upstairs without any remarks to anyone. He turned on the light in Annabella's and Hoxac's room, to help read it. "..Thing is. It's locked. I think we should find a key.. it has to be around here somewhere," he said, looking around. "Besides, if we force it open, we might damage something that we really need."
