It has been eighty-nine years since Voldermort has been banished by none other than Harry Potter. A new family, called Hoxac, were the second most powerful wizards and witches in Voldermort's day. Now that he's gone... they've been busy. The father, his only name is Hoxac, has killed many families in the last fifteen years. The mother went crazy, jumping off the Hoxac's mansion-almost-castle's balcony. The maid and cook both ran away, only to be captured and returned to Hoxac, eventually dying a strange, unknown death. Three of the families children also died in that mansion, all vanishing --- never to be seen again. Hoxac's brother and sister-in-law went to visit him, never to return home.

But now. Now. It's a new age. Hoxac was captured and brought to Azkaban eventually dying from insanity. His house, known as the Hoxac Mansion, was closed off to the public, only few have known about it's location.

A new professor in Hogwarts knows this location, bringing together a "search team" to investigate it. He has heard of the stories about the house, and he and the caretaker agreed to stay for one week.

The stories are gruesome, some just made up to scare little children and people --- since the Hoxac Mansion was well-known. The few people that knew about where the Mansion actually was never did want to go there --- in fear of one of the stories, about never appearing ever again, once you stepped inside the house, that is. No one wanted to go... and no one ever knew the real story about it.. until now.

Orion Rysen, nephew of the Late Hoxac, the parent's who went to visit him, is the only one who knows half the story that's behind the Evil Mansion. He was invited to the Mansion, no one knowing that he is related to the Murderer Hoxac. He wanted to go in hopes of finding out what happened to the parents --- and to his cousins.

From fights, perhaps *love*, and friends and enemies, the "search group" nicknamed "The Hoxac Group" will uncover what really happened at the house.

Please, this is an all made-up RP. No perfect people, or anything like that. All rules from SS apply. No special powers, it ruins the RP. And please, if you want to join, I'd like it if you'd be dedicated to the RP and not drop out when you just get a tiny bit confused. Sure, you can drop out, but don't through a temper-tantrum if you aren't getting the plot. People will tell you, so please don't keep asking about it.

Jakob nodded and went back up, rather satisfied to be in Hoxac's dormitory again. He took a seat on the bed, then sprang up, as if hit by thunder, and started searching the desk for the key.

"Locked?" Roma said, her happiness immediatley evaporating into thin air. "This mystery isn't going to be easy to solve, is it?" She went over to the bed and sat down. She had always wanted an exciting life, with thrills in every corner, but this was too much for her.

Orion looked around, then spied a box on top of the dresser. He took the box, then opened it up to reveal jewelery. He took all the jewelery out, then banged the box on the dresser a few times. A small slit opened at the bottom, revealing a tiny key. Orion took the key out, then walked over to the diary and opened it.

Hoxac is at his many friend's houses. He tells me that he is at a party, but I know better. He is a lying maniac. Laila is sick again. She has scarlet fever. I fear that she will not be strong enough to live through it all. Keon is also sick, with hypothermia. He was outside in the cold too long. I am not afraid, because I know that my only son is strong in heart. Ophelia has been helping me cook and clean, since the maid and cook ran away. I send them my best of luck.. but I know they will be caught by Hoxac. With that, I send them my apologies.

Orion cleared his throat after reading that, then sighed. "It seemed like Annabella knew a whole lot more than Hoxac knew," he said, reading on.

Hoxac's brother, my dear brother-in-law, bless his heart, has agreed to come with us. His son --

Orion paused, staring at what she wrote. He glanced around quickly, then read on with a crack in his voice for some odd reason.

..His son decided that he didn't want to come visit. I miss the quiet boy. Bless his heart. Instead, his mother shall be joining us. We are going to have a party.. I dearsay, Hoxac is angry that I invited them to the party. They will be coming today, and I cannot express how much Ophelia, Keon, and Laila would've liked to see ----

Orion stopped, reading the name in the diary of the young man that didn't want to come to the Mansion. He turned the book so that no one could see the name --- so they couldn't see that the name of the young man was him.

He blinked, then closed the book, finishing with, "him."

Katrina looked at Orion. For some reason he sounded as if it hurt to read the diary entry. 'Orion,' she said, 'Are-are you okay?' she seemed really concerned for him and felt bad that he seemed to be in so much pain.

Nicholas saw Orion's face go pale...obviously he had read something horrible in the book. But the book was good evidence, and would be of much use. Besides, the closer they got to solving this the sooner they could get out of there...if the doors ever opened.

"We should probably go back upstairs..." He volunteered, afraid they would get locked down there or something. "We can come back later to look for more evidence." He started walking up the stairs, bidding the others to follow, but awaiting Orion's orders.

'Erm... are you okay Orion?' he asked walking over to him. He wasn't particularly good at cheering guys up, just girls.

Orion shook his head at Roma. "There's more.." he said slowly, wondering if he should read the rest of it.

He glanced around at everyone, then nodded and gave a small smile. "Yes. Of course. I'm fine, thanks," he said, stumbling on his words. " Do you want me to read some more?"

"A lying maniac..." Jakob kept repeating to himself, as he had frozen on the chair in front of the bureau, balancing his body oddly. In his head, Annabella and the children had already become martirs - other martirs - to the bloodthirst of that man whom he despised, even though perhaps there was more to the story than just that.
He kept rocking in his chair, staring at everyone, as Orion's voice was yet to be heard continuing the tale.

Orion glanced up at Jakob, a concerned look on his face. Jakob wasn't acting like himself -- ****, they all weren't acting like themselves. He sighed, then continued reading.

Keon is up and about, as Laila is. I send my thanks to God that she is alright. Keon and Laila are playing hide-and-seek, Ophelia is also playing, and Hoxac.. dear God, he is away again. Blair and his wife, Almira, are coming soon. The party is tonight.. I should hope they arrive this afternoon.

Orion paused, then read onto the next entry, describing the party.

The party was magnificent. Dancing and laughing and talking -- everyone seemed to enjoy being in the Ballroom. Blair and Almira were both happy to be there, but I guessed they missed their son.

Orion's voice cracked at the words "Blair and Almira" then sighed, reading the next entry, where it seemed like Annabella was getting hysterical.

The party.. dear God, was the happiest times. The.. after-times.. weren't as good. The butler hung himself over the chandelier. Hans was very close to the family.. I could not imagine why he would do such a thing..

Orion skimmed the pages, then stopped, his eyes wide as he read some more.

Oh god.. where are Blair and Almira? They weren't here for breakfast or dinner..

Then he read;

Blair and Almira have been gone for a week. My only guess is that they went back home. But surely we would have heard from them. My god.. this place is too much. I have to get out.... I HAVE TO LEAVE THIS PLACE.. DEAR GOD.. FORGIVE ME!

Orion took a deep breath, staring at the diary. This is how she went insane..? He thought to himself, then read:

The maid and butler and cook are back. I talked to them.. but they're dead. I saw them die. Is the Devil tempting me? I keep seeing things that aren't there! I was taking a bath.. the water turned to blood.. I saw the butler.. Hans.. walking around. He gave me a rose. The cook.. she set my bed.. but the bed burst into flames.. the mirrors.. I SAW MYSELF DIE IN THE MIRRORS!

Orion turned the page, thinking that their would be no more writing. Instead, he was wrong. All over the pages were:

GET OUT. GET OUT OF THE HOUSE. GET OUT OF THE HOUSE NOW! GET OUT!!

.. In what seemed to be fresh blood. It was dripping all over his hands, and onto the floor. Orion gasped, then threw the diary on the bed, backing himself up against a wall and staring at nothing. This Mansion was getting to him.

Jakob started and rose from his chair, eyes devilishly longing. He circled the bureau and stopped for a second at the edge of the bed, glancing at the diary. His direction was headed towards Orion, however, and gripping him by the clothes, he rushed out the words, desperately seeking some sincerity in the other's eyes:
"Why? Why are you here? And why did you act all weird when you read those names from the diary? Are you planning on killing us all?" Jakob glowered, holding Orion's attire a little longer, then he renounced the fight and crawled unto the bed:
"At least do it fast..."
It was hard to make out who he was addressing -- whether it was Orion, or Hoxac, or the Spectres.

Orion shook his head, looking helpless for once. "No.. I'm not the one doing this! I don't want to kill any of you!" He said. "I-I'm here.. for the same reasons as you guys. I want to learn the truth about this place!" He said, placing the key back into the box that was on the dresser. "We.. have to all calm down! Don't you get it?" He asked, struggling to find the words that he had in his mind, and desperately trying to get the blood of his hands, not getting anywhere but smearing it all over his hands. "..This house is trying to turn us all against each other. We'll die.. all of us.. if we don't stay calm. From the house.. the.. spectres.." he turned to everyone, though his words were directed at Jakob. "..You all believe me, right?"

His old self would have adviced him to stay cool and perhaps even attempt a smile, but Jakob was way beyond that phase. For a minute, he kept silence, then he burst out again, this time sticking his eyes unto the blood that Orion was trying to wipe off:
"Well I don't buy it! You know more than you tell us! Isn't it obvious?" and not knowing why, he pointed to the diary.
"When? When am I going to find out?" the others were obviously staring at him, so he lowered his voice, which had turned rather hysterical.
"Is there a diary of the Lord of this mansion?" he said, sarcastically, barely containing his hatred at the sheer thought of Hoxac.

Orion stared at Jakob, then shook his head. "My parent's were killed by Hoxac. I'm trying to find out more about it!" He asked, still not telling the whole truth. "I don't know WHAT we're going to find out! That's why we're investigating!" He said, his voice, too, getting way beyond than his voice normally was. Perhaps you could say.. hysterical..insane-sounding. He went over to Jakob, then stared at him. "I don't know," he said, his voice calm again. "I don't know anything anymore.. something's.. wrong.. in this mansion.. very wrong. I.. just don't know!"

Jakob cleared his throat. So there was more to why Orion was there...
"Your parents were killed by Hoxac? Mine too." he told Orion, a bit complacently, then he leaned closer to him and whispered: "Don't you want revenge?"
And when Orion looked at him the next instant, his face was all fair and good-natured, as ever.

Orion shook his head. "..I.. don't actually know if HE killed them.." he said, whispering also. He sighed, then turned to everyone else. "..We should move on," he said, taking a flashlight, the diary, and leading them out into the hallway.

"Where else do we go?" Roma asked him, walking out into the hallway. She ahd tried to ignore the whole conflict on everyone blaming everyone else. It was a bad time for them all. They were all close to being killed and all they could do was fight with eachother. It was horrible. "The maid's room? The butler's room? What other rooms are there in this house?"

Orion looked back at Roma, then shook his head. "The study," he said, walking over to a door down the hallway. "This is where Hoxac usually was," he continued, trying to get over the fight with Jakob. Elizabeth was being quiet, so was Nicholas and the rest of them. "It is said that he kept records of the people he killed in here. All of them," he said, opening the door to reveal a big study full of books on dark magic and records.
