Kourtney carefully listened to Victoria as she explained how to cast the gluing spell. Lentesco....Lentesco...She repeated the incantation a few times before shaking her head. "No, I can do it." She said confidently.

With that, she removed her wand, moving it to the right and then left on a horizontal plane and intoned "Lentesco!!" She still held the decoration to the table and carefully let go, very pleased to see that it was now stuck. "Awesome!"

She glanced at the other side and nodded towards it. "Want to get that side?" Once they were finished this, they could start on the little levitation part of the activity. While she waited, she started stacking the party hats that she had grabbed earlier onto the table.

I guess not! Elise thought as she pulled out some decorations from the first box. Grinning at the fluttering streamers, she started to hang them.

"Wingardium LeviOHsa," she said, clearly. Otherwise, her charms wouldn't work.

Once all the streamers were exactly where she wanted them to be, she muttered a "Fixate," pointing at the streamers.

Proud of herself, she skipped off to see who needed help with the tables.

After a few minutes of enjoying the view from higher up, Keefer decided that he should try again. Judging by the fact that he only made it a bit off the ground, he could use a happier memory. Which is probably why I've only managed a corporeal Patronus once, and it was the hardest I've ever had to work at a spell.

Being a boy, Keefer had no trouble summoning a burp. "AAAaahhhhh!" He let one loose. That one good belch was all it took to plant his feet firmly back on the ground. Well, I didn't have that far to go, I guess.

He looked into his potion vial and was pleased to see he had enough for another few doses. He cast around in his mind for another memory. It should be something more recent this time. Then it'll be more vivid and likely to produce the true Patronus, just like the Professor said.

Maxwell took some cups and plates and stacked them neatly on the table, then took an extra cup and placed some utensils inside of it. "There, now to see if my memory is strong enough." He said to Himself

"Thanks. Yours too!" Erin responded merrily.

Looking at the other students, they were now levitating balloons. Others were trying on the potion.

Blowing balloons with all her might. Erin looked like she's running out of oxygen but she could manage because of the happiness all over the DADA room. This is the best DADA lesson ever.

She started to levitate the balloons she had just blown, "Wingardium Leviosa!" she uttered.

Minerva went and grabbed some decorations. She didn't know many spells so she went to her bag and got tape. With the tape she started hanging the streamers.

Selina eyed the little blue vial. How was this going to help? She saw the other students using it, but Selina did have a lot of good memories. How would she know which one was the strongest? She was sure a lot of them could work, but which would be the best.

Her mind went to work trying to conjure up memories. The first that came to her mind was the Bill incident with Kurumi. It was the first time that Selina had ever felt truly accepted in her life by someone completely. Kurumi even accepted the Seer part of Selina, which was a very difficult part of Selina's life to deal with even for Selina herself. Also she was sure that she had never laughed that hard in her life. When Kurumi had face planted into the door it was one of those brilliant moments that were forever etched in her mind. They played over and over again on the 3-D Imax of her mind.

Then she mind jumped to another thought- her first kiss. It was awkward... it was nice... it was with Gideon. He was dirty, she was annoyed, it was after a Quidditch match and it was the best first kiss she ever could have dreamed up. Mostly because it was with him and anytime she was with him was a good memory. Perhaps that could work.

It hit her.

She knew what her happiest memory was for certain. It involved a brunette little one year old girl, Danielle Skylar. It wasn't much, but it was her sister riding a toy broom for the first time. Selina had been thrilled and Danielle had never smiled so bright. For some reason it made her a little teary, but that image always made her smile. That was her happy thought. A little girl who always was forever happy in her mind.

After Erin decorated and levitated some balloons, she was ready to party.

But how could they party if there were lots of trashes on the floor? Joining the others who were cleaning up the unnecessary decors, Erin used the levitation spell to put the trashes over the trash can.

She drink the burping fuel from the elf earlier then she moved toward the potion, examined it thoroughly before taking a sip. Erin focused on her chosen happiest memory. Here came her Mummy again over that hospital bed she could never forget. The one that could be pulled and pushed so that her Mum would be comfortable. During night time, she would sing for Erin so that she'll be able to sleep . When Erin opened her eyes, she was still there, breathing. That's Erin's happiest memory.

Maxwell walked over to the box with the vials of pale blue liquid. He took one and sipped it till it was empty. "Alright, here we go." He said then Maxwell shut his eyes and thought about when he received his Hogwarts letter but, again remembered that memory turned unhappy too quickly. So instead he thought about when he received the letter from his grandfather saying that he would be staying with his grandparents for the summer...He thought hard...And concentrated...Opened his eyes and...He was an inch off the ground! AN INCH OFF THE GROUND! It was amazing but he felt he could be happier.

Eyes close, Keefer let his memory wander. All sorts of visions flickered in and out of his attention. He passed by those that happened before Hogwarts automatically, occasionally lingering on a recent happening. Eventually, his thoughts turned back to what he had thought of during the lesson: when Hufflepuff won the Quidditch Cup.

It had been his first year on the team. They had played great and overcome so much to even be in the Championship Match. Then they had outflown Ravenclaw at every turn. The team had mass-huddled in the air when the Snitch was finally captured, slowly making their disoriented way down onto the Pitch. It was Keefer's one shining moment as Hogwarts, when he was loved by everyone. Well, everyone who was glad Hufflepuff won, at least.

Yes, this was the memory.

He flicked open the vial again and took a sip, closing his eyes for good measure. Letting the jubilation of that day fill him, he concentrated the very core of his being around that memory. He was focusing so hard that he was startled when he felt a sharp pain on the top of his head.

"Ow!" he exclaimed, opening his eyes. He was surprised to note that his eyes were level with the ceiling. "I did it! Saaaaa-weet!" Clearly this would be the memory he would summon if he met a dementor in the next few years.

He pushed off from the ceiling gently, hovering a foot below it. Maneuvering carefully, he did a few slow backflips to let out his exhilaration. "Wheeee!" When he almost kicked a girl in the mouth, he decided to stop the turning and just get back to the ground. Feeling extremely content, he let out several burps to descend. Finally touching down, he strolled out of harm's way and watched the others while sporting a goofy smile. The happiness had yet to wear off.

Kennedy had more empty balloons in his hand when a guy spoke to him. "Sure, the more balloons the better," he grinned. He blew air into a few more balloons and stopped when he felt light headed.

No more for him.

"Ready," Kennedy said. The guy had a pile of balloons by him. He took one of them and placed the sticking charm on and levitated it to the ceiling. "Wingardium Leviosa," he. He turned back at his classmate and said, "I'm Kennedy, by the way." Yep, before he forgot to introduce himself.

After taking the potion, “Oh!”she uttered. Erin felt like she could do anything crazy today. She could be whoever she wanted to be and she could do anything she had never done before. She was very happy today, she was like floating.

Erin felt like she was moving against gravity. Slowly, Erin was moving an inch from the ground. She looked down and she felt like she could go up and up and. Scared, Erin burped so that she’ll be able to get down. She fell immediately as she levitated.

Looking at her friend Minerva, she laughed crazily. “Hi Minerva! Have you seen me floating?! It was awesome, isn’t it?”

"Okay then!" As ariana said that she waved her wand to some more streamers & said "Wingardium Leviosa" and raised them to where she ended the last stream and waited for the stick charm from Kita

Enjoying the party, Erin danced over and over again. She felt like she could party all night. Kick, kick, hop, hop, bump here and bump there.

Seeing the elf moving from here and there, she took a softdrinks. That floating was awesome. She continued partying with the others. Others were still floating, others were decorating and laughing with one another. This lesson was a success!

Sierra had just levitated the second set of streamers into the air when she heard someone call her name. Spinning around, she came face to face with...

...some claw. She blinked then raised her eyebrows a little. "Yeah, ...Sierra," she nonchalantly said. Hmm...work together? Sierra wasn't much of a people person, and most of the time she preferred to just work alone. It didn't bother her at all and was usually far less annoying. She could deal with this, though. Claws were the ones she could tolerate. "I was just lifting the streamers and fixing them in place," she added. "...can't seem to get them to spread out, though."

As she waited for some sort of response from the girl, she reached deep into the second box and came out with an assortment of paper plates, cups, and utensils. The table, which another student had already set up and covered with a tablecloth, wasn't but a step away from the girl she was talking to; so Sierra levitated all the items she collected then began setting them up. "I'm guessing there's a spell to set up the tables, too," she mumbled to herself. She hadn't been taught that one yet, though.

She went around the table and placed one paper plate, one cup, several napkins, and a few different utensils next to each place to sit. The whole atmosphere was still a little too happy for her, but all she had to do was keep reminding herself it was all for the charm they were learning. "So what's your name?" she asked the claw.

Alyssa looked around her as some of the other students started drinking their potions. Some seemed to have really happy thought because some floated almost to the ceiling. There were others too, who seemed to have the same problem as her, because even though it seemed like they had happy thoughts, they must not have been enough because they only levitated only a one or two feet off the ground.

Alyssa knew that she had enough potion to give it a couple more tries. So before taking another sip of the potion, she tried to relive all the happy memories she had experienced in the past all the way up to the present. Then she remembered a happy memory. It was when she was around 6 years old and she and her family and gone to meet up with the rest of the other family members for a big family reunion. She remembered how happy she felt back then because she got to spend time with her great grand-dad. She remembered that he had sat her on his knee while telling her all about his adventures when he was in Hogwarts. She still considered that a special time for her, because it was just her GGDad and her and no one else. It was their private time together.

So as Alyssa relived those memories, she took a sip of the potion. She then looked down and found herself floating at least 2 feet off the ground. "That's not high enough. I wonder why this memory is not working." Alyssa thought to herself. Then she remembered. During GGdad's story telling he had mentioned how her GGuncle had been killed during the Battle of Hogwarts. Even back then Alyssa had cried because she knew that even though she had never met him, she knew for certain that if her GGUncle had lived, she would have been very close to him because he was known to have been a great prankster. "I guess I totally forgot about that part of the memory. Oh well, I guess I'm going to have to think of another happier memory maybe this time with no sad parts in it." So Alyssa gulped down more soda pop which forced her to burp and she slowly floating back down to the ground.

After she finished set up the table, Raven took a bottle of a potion. She drank it.

HOEEEKKK!!! The taste was awful! That's why Raven really hate took a potion.

Kurumi grabbed a bottle of the light blue solution and swirled it around in her hand as she thought about the memory she had selected earlier. Her mind was kind of wandering at the moment, so she was having a hard time focusing on anything. Perhaps it had to do with all the balloons she had just blown up and therefore a serious lack of oxygen? That had happened to Ryunosuke and Junichiro when they had raced either other to see who could blow up the most balloons for Takashi's birthday. The results had been they both turned red in the face and had essentially collapsed on the couch. So, it was possible that she was experiencing the same thing.

She probably should have waited until her mind was a bit clear, because the moment she lifted the bottle to her lips, Kurumi began experiencing some rather violet hiccups. Her body felt a little woozy, like she had just swallowed a large cloud, and she floated off the ground no more than four feet, which was plenty for her for now. Eyes blinking...she hiccuped once and was thrust to the right.

Hiccup. To the left. Hiccup. A slight backwards diagonal. Hiccup. Backwards. Hiccuphiccuphiccup. Kurumi was bouncing all over the room. Thankfully, the effects were not violent, more like lazy movements, but the combination of sudden changes in direction paired with the hiccups didn't help her concentrate anymore.

Concentrating on a single memory might do the trick. Hopefully.

Though Arya had said nothing, she was paying attention if only the slightest bit distracted by the memories she used to conjure her patronus, more the one she used to cast her strongest corporeal. But when boxes were brought out, and instructions for a PARTY were given, all memories were pushed aside for the moment. This was going down with her other favorite lessons for sure.

The young prefect hopped up to her feet and skipped over to the first box. Before decorating the room, she had to decorate herself. Heh. The silliest of party hats was secured on her head before she pulled out her wand and started summoning items out of the first box.

Balloons first, yes? She summoned them to herself and had a blast blowing them up muggle style. After the ninth balloon however, she decided to save what was left of her breath and finish the rest with a silent air charm. When a few more were done, she used a sticking charm to place the balloons in places the other students hadn't gotten to.

Arya had fun next with the streamers and took to humming a random song from one of the band's she'd noticed the professor had a record of. All this fun almost had her forgetting there was a house elf in the party room!

This was rather odd, wasn't it? Louisa and Ellie were actually kind of getting along for once. And Louisa was laughing at her joke? Rather loudly and enthusiastically, but still. They were kind of... bonding. How long had it been since they had done that? Three years? Wow...

Ellie shook her head with a faint smile. "Nah, I guess I've just got tough lungs." Whatever that was supposed to mean. Maybe Ellie was just a beastly balloon blower.

After sending her balloon up, Ellie glanced over at Louisa to see her taking a sip of her potion. Ah, yes the potion. Ellie should take hers now. Closing her eyes, Ellie tried to think of a happy memory. The first one she thought of was when her dad first took her to Diagon Alley when she was 11. She even smiled faintly at the memory. Keeping that in mind, Ellie took a sip of her levitating potion.

Suddenly, she was jolted from her reverie when She heard someone squealing. Popping her eyes open, she looked to see Louisa floating a foot above her and squeaking happily. Ellie couldn't help but smile at the fourth year. "Good job!" She said, though it was still weird not being mean to her...

Ellie, however, didn't float. She felt a little lighter, maybe, but her feet were still planted on the ground... POUT.

Set up the tables.

Yeah, that had been the next step in the task. To deal with the second box and all the tableware and such, including the actual shrunking tables themselves, that had laid with said box. However looking around the room, it certainly seemed like it had all been done before he managed to even start.

Was there anything left to do?

The tables themselves were all set up, that much was certain. Gideon searched through the remnants in the box before walking around the assembled surfaces, double-checking everything was in order and adding to anything that seemed to need stuff added to it. Satisfied, the fourth year figured he might as well move on to the next task.

Louie's first job was too, hang up the Decorating s she did not know any magic so she did it by hand she got tape and started to put streamers around the room, then it was the Balloons one by one she blow up all four of them, she then stick them all over the classroom, she took a step back to look at her work she was happy

Hiccuphiccuphiccup.

Kurumi continued to float around in various directions, each time becoming closer to the ground as air escaped her lips, until she was finally back on the ground. Thank Merlin that was done. She really needed to focus and reground herself - pun not intended.

Hearing that the record had finished, Kurumi walked over to the gramophone and removed the disk before flipping through the other options looking for something a little more...inspiring. It took a few moments, but she finally came across the song that seemed to be perfect for the situation. Removing it from its old paper case, she set it down and adjusted the needle again. NEW MUSIC filled the room. Hopefully this would inspire everyone. It was certainly bringing a smile to her face.

Waving her index fingers in rhythm to the music, Kurumi returned to the spot she had landed and held the bottle in her hands. Her mind had been swimming with memories the first time its contents had touched her lips. Receiving her letter to Hogwarts, getting Hikari, memories with Selina, learning to fly without crashing into something, meeting Adam while looking at ties... So many things were swimming around, but she really needed one concrete thing to focus on. Something recent perhaps, something that had brought a pure smile to her face.

One popped instantly into her mind, although she knew that it wouldn't be enough to produce a patronus. Yes, the feelings were strong and she had been very happy, but her insecurities about it all were weighing her down. She closed her eyes and focused about the time her and Jonathan had spent in the pathways, where she had finally admitted her feelings for him and her had returned those and... Well, she was blushing as she recalled it all. It hadn't been the kissed that followed, but the moment where something flickered in Jonathan's eyes that had made her happy. It was the moment of acceptance. The moment where he seemed to really see HER.

Slowly, she tipped the vial against her lips and swallowed a bit more of the solution. The feeling of haven just eaten a big fluffy cloud filled her being and she felt herself floating despite her feet still being planted on the ground. Lifting her arms up slowly, she felt weightless and her eyes snapped open. She was floating, no hiccups, and probably a good four feet off the ground.

Katrina felt it would be better to help in decorating more. SH pointed her wand at a table cloth.

"Wingardium Leviosa," the table cloth levitate and she placed it on the table where another student put it in.

Ahh.

Once she and Victoria had finished setting the decoration to the table, Kourtney immediately turned and walked to the box that held the small bottles with the pale blue solution. She grabbed two, walked back to Victoria, and handed it to her. "There you are." She said with a smile. "Now...let's see if this is going to work."

The little Gryffindor's attention was pulled towards Kurumi as she flipped over the record and a new song filled the air. With a laugh of delight, she waved at the prefect and then opened the bottle. Bringing it to her lips, she drew a sip, concentrating on the memory that she had chosen. Perhaps...if time allowed, she could try a different memory...but for now, she would go with her initial thought.

Tapping her foot to the beat, she thought about the night that her mother had begun dancing again and the happiness and pride she had felt as she watched her leap and pirouette around the stage. She felt more cheerful already, a little light on her feet. She then thought about how her mother had called her on stage to her side.

A little lighter. Wait, was that....Yes! She looked down, noticing that the tips of her toes were barely touching the floor. Wheeee!
