Pam glanced over at Nate, as he sat down against the wall. She couldn't help but feel sad. As if all the potion that was in her suddenly drained away. She wanted, more than anything to help Nate. It wasn't in her nature to leave a hurt friend, or person for that matter, unattended. She wanted to help him, make him happy. Even if that ment losing her own happiness. Just as long as he was happy.

She walked over to a spot were there weren't a lot of people floating around. As she watched the others fly around, she remembered how happy Nate had made her feel. How she could be lifted up off the ground higher than ever. But in a mere couple of minutes, he had turned her feelings around. Is this love? She asked herself. Because If so, I don't like it. She put on a smile, and watched the others as they flew higher. Just as she had done.

As Nate glanced around, faking a smile, he saw Pam. She looked sad. Nate couldn't linger on her face too long, so he whirled around and started dancing slighty, to try and distract himself. He made a full circle, and when he was facing back towards Pam he couldn't see her! Hang on... he thought skeptically before actually seeing what he was looking at. At once he lunged forward and gripped her ankle, pulling her down to the floor. "Small sips, not the whole vial," he said quietly, secretly hoping class would move on soon so the agony could be subsided by a distraction. But it wasn't time for that. Right now, Nate was forced to deal with Pam before his eyes, and Fai cutting through his heart.

Pam watched as Nate helped a girl to the ground. She couldn't help but smile slightly. He was a protective guy, and always looked out for others. He always looked out for her aswell. She thought back to when they were younger. Anytime she fell, he was right there to catch her. Just like now. She thought to herself. You fell for him, and he caught you. But he didn't catch you! He caught me! Said a different voice. She just shook her head, and mentally shut the two voices away, noting to come back to them later.

She smiled, and spun around to the nearest table, almost falling along the way. She caught herself on the table, though, and continued twirling, to cover her ungraceful fall. She pretended she was a ballerina, and twirled around in time to the music.

As Nate helped the girl into a chair his eyes were still on Pam. He thought he had seen her look over and then turn away. Once the other girl had thanked him for the help, Nate felt it was high time to talk to Pam again. With a final nod to the still weightless girl, Nate headed off towards Pam. "Hi," he said flatly, standing next to her as she twirled.

Pam thought she had heard her name, so she stopped. Sadness filled her eyes, turning them a navy blue. "Hi." She said in a cheery voice. She wasn't about to let him know how hurt she was. So put on her best smile, and continued twirling.

Tori tried to think of a happier thought to get her floating up again instead of remaining in a stagnant position. It was no fun to just float in midair, after all. Any magician could do thaaaaat.

Scratching the top of her head absentmindedly, Tori thought of the time she had first met Paulie again. Awww he had been so adorable! And he had taken her exploding lemonade to the face without hardly any complaining, and and and he had even taken his shirt off too!

She giggled at the memory and started floating higher. Tori started extrapolating on that happy thought with more happy thoughts, like where they were going to go on their awesome double date and what they were going to eat and what his BFF was going to be like and his BFF's girlfriend...

"Oh Pip, thank you so much for making the snacks. Why don't you put them down here on this table," Alyssa told Pip. She would have offered to help but she remembered hearing that if she did, the House Elves would take great offense and would sometimes end up hurting themselves.

"Pip, I once heard Prefect Kurumi say that you are a great cook. Maybe if it is is possible you could tell me how you made some of these delicious snacks. I don't cook very well, and I would love if you could help me cook sometimes." Alyssa asked Pip, hoping that she was wording her words carefully.

Nate couldn't do this. He backed off and went to sit over at the wall again, wallowing in his own cesspool of thought. He waited, counting the seconds, until Professor Schirmer moved class along.

After Eino was done helping set up the party, he approached the little pale blue liquids and took one for himself. Before drinking he paused and looked at the students who were already floating high in the air. Then, he gulped, looked down at his drink and finally drank it. He didn't feel anything different, so he made his way to an open area, where he would have a lot of space and began to contemplate on happy thoughts. His initial happy thought was the delicious pastry he had that morning, but judging by the professor's response, that wasn't enough. Suddenly, two happy thoughts came to his mind. One was when he was finally able to own his very own familiar. He had been very happy about that, but wasn't sure how powerful that would be, even though he loved Ino very much. The other memory was from something that happened in the summer. During one his travels in Sweden he had seen a dragon for the first time. It was dead, but it was a dragon, and Eino loved dragons. He had always wanted to see one and could still recall how happy he was to be able to approach that monstrous beauty. He was going to focus on that memory and hopefully it would work...

Pam didn't know how long she could take this. She walked over to Nate, lent down, and whispered in his ear, "Meet me at the six floor corridors." She said, trying to find the most quietst place in Hogwarts. And maybe a corridor wasn't the best, but it was the first thing that poped into her mind.

She got up, and started dancing by herself in time to the music.

Nate remained slumped, unmoving against the wall as Pam whispered this instruction. And he locked it in. "Got it..." he mumbled. Not even lifting his head to walk away, Nate became numb to his surroundings, listening only for Professor Schirmer's voice. Which was singing along with the heartwrenching lyrics. Nate sat and suffered mixed visions of Pam and Faina, some of which even involved kissing one of them, but opening his eyes to the other. Nate felt a tear start to form and wiped it instantly.
Ironic, he thought, that today is supposed to be about happy memories...

Louisa was pushing herself off the wall to move around not feeling the gravity of the earth was an exceptional experience that she wanted to take advantage of every second of it. She was looking around at her friends, some of which managed to shot into the air, some were still trying the determination increasing as more students float around.

Almost accidentally, Louisa burped and fell to the ground luckily on her feet. "Ow.." the girl murmured, straightening herself up and stretching, a grin was on her face. She then made her way to the food table and took a muffin, leaning on the edge watching the flying students.

Eino closed his eyes and concentrated on his memory from the summer. He remembered how he had recently arrived in a small wizard village in Sweden to stay for the night and prepare for the tournament which would take place the next day. Fencing tournament. There was an alarming amount of people populating the small village, and the Inn was completely full. They had to pay a high sum of galleons to spend one night there. While this happened he could remember hearing the word "dragon" a million times, so he finally asked the Innkeeper and found out that a dragon had been killed nearby and two dragon eggs were found with it. That same moment Eino darted out of the Inn and followed the crowd to the spot where the dragon was. Eino couldn't believe his eyes when he saw it, and then touched it, and he was right in front of it. Then it occurred to him that he was floating. He was barely on the tip of his toes and if he didn't stretch out his feet he was completely off the ground, though not by much.

Minerva went and grabbed some snacks she was over being in the air. She knew her memory was a good one and had been in the air twice.

Arya couldn't seem to stop giggling. Or floating and randomly flipping this way and that. There was no grounding the prefect, even if she wanted to herself. She was as mindful of the few other students around her as one could be when their happiest memories filled their mind. And kept her high.

Now she wasn't testing the potion, she was simply having fun with it.

Although she was now only halfway playing attention to Stella, Sierra nodded her head. She was trying to focus mainly on getting her happy memory back. It'd been so strong, for some reason, when Schirmer had asked about it before. Now that she was trying to put it to use, though, it was all falling apart. "Okay, ...white wall. Got it," she said, closing her eyes again.

The door to the room burst wide open and her father and his fiancee ran inside. It was the first time Sierra had seen their faces in weeks, and despite the current situation, she'd smiled a little upon seeing them. She remembered realizing her nightmare would soon be over, and she mainly remembered how safe her father made her feel when he wrapped her in his arms again. She could hear the sound of his fiancee talking, and it was the most safe and secure sound she'd ever heard...

In reality, she lifted a few feet into the air, and she only realized she'd done so when her body began to naturally shift into a horizontal position. Her eyes flashed wide open, and she suddenly thought more about the fact that she was floating and less about her happy memory.

Gideon made his way over to the last box to retrieve a blue bottle for the final portion of the assignment. However he still wasn't sure of a memory he could possibly use to get any good result out of the potion within. Oh well, he guessed he could only try and keep trying till he was satisfied or the Professor moved them on. Opening the bottle, he took a sip and closed his eyes invisioning the first happy memory that came to mind...

...A family gathering, where all of them were gathered around. Everyone...mum, dad, Kacie, him...everyone including Andy who, as Gideon was growning up had spent less and less time at home. Not because he wanted to exactly, but because his job with the dragons took him away more and more. He couldn't help smiling and when he looked to see if the potion had worked, it almost looked like it hadn't. But upon shifting his feet, the fourth year was quite certain he was hovering...if only a few inches.

Minor success...but success nevertheless.

Once she had taken a bit of chocolate and a soda from the table (and a party hat), she turned around to watch the rest of her classmates try their hand at the potion. Her gaze zeroed in on Victoria, and studied her flight slowly upward.

With a giggle, she gave a thumbs up. "Great job, Victoria!" She knew the older Slytherin could do it. It just took practice of course. She herself wanted to practice with other memories...and...why not now?

Setting the soda down on a nearby table, she thought hard on a good memory. Hmm, she would see if that one worked. Drawing a sip of the potion, she closed her eyes and thought of the day that she had received her Hogwarts letter. She was nervous, of course, but super excited. Once she had received information on the school and she realized that she was a witch, she had been incredibly surprised and happy. She had always known that something was unique about herself, but she simply couldn't pinpoint the exact cause.

She felt her lips turn up into a smile and she felt lighter, a familiar feeling similar to the one she felt earlier. Glancing down, she found herself just barely hovering above the ground. Ah. Not a strong enough memory apparently, but still a happy one.

"Hey Minnie. I saw you floating up there. You must have had great memories. I was only able to do it on my last attempt. Boy! am I hungry now." Alyssa said to Minerva. "The houselves have really outdone themselves this time. I'm sorry that I'm babbling on, but there must be something in the potion that's making me very hyper. Either that it's all the sugar in the food here".

As Alyssa snacked on the food, she started singing and dancing along with the music.

Ashley had retrieved one of the little bottles, though he hadn't really gotten up the nerve to try it yet. What if he couldn't think of anything happy enough? Wouldn't that be kind of embarrassing? If everyone was floating around, being happy, and he was just standing there like a rock?
But he had to do it eventually, so he tried to come up with something. That was another difficult bit. What kind of memory would he come up with, exactly? Something that had happened recently? Or in the past? Honestly, most of his memories were either boring or annoying. He decided to find a corner - or the best he could do - to try this out, because he didn't want to be too close to anyone. After a deep breath, he took a sip of the potion, and thought hard. The first thing he decided to try was when he'd gotten his letter to come to Hogwarts. But that wasn't really a happy memory. It was only happy in the sense that everyone knew he'd get one, and they were just glad there hadn't been any mix-ups or mistakes that left him out. Being sorted was a good one. But it was mostly only happy in that he wouldn't have to explain being anything other than Slytherin to his family. Maybe he'd have to go farther back than that.
Since his first attempts of coming up with a memory hadn't worked out, Ashley wondered if he needed to sip the potion again, in case it wore off or something. But he decided to wait. If he finally came up with a happy memory and nothing happened, that was when he'd drink more.
For now, he just mentally flipped through past events, trying to come up with something that would work.

Jordan was enjoying the party and noticed Nate slumped against a wall, "You okay mate?" he asked with a concerned look on his face. He was still with Pam then? Or had he not made a decision yet? He noted the tear that fell from his eyes... Nate had definitely not made a choice.

Ooh. They got to levitate? Oh my hippogriffs. That sounded so fun. Although Indy wasn't sure that her happy memories were going to allow the float that high up in the air. But maybe that was a good thing, because knowing Indy she might get a little scared, although she did fly so maybe she wouldn't be too scared of this. She hoped anyway. THe class looked really pretty too. With all the decorations. She would have to thank the Professor later. For making such a pretty, and enjoyable lesson. So. Happy memory. Going to Hogwarts maybe? That was kind of happy, especially after Spike had teased for like 2 years before hand. Yes. That was a happy memory, well it made her smile so she decided that she would use that.

Thinking about that happy memory, she took a sip of the potion, and surprised herself by giggling a little. Haha. And she was floating. It was only a little bit, like about 2 inches from the floor. But she was floating none the lesson. Okay...this was pretty cool.

Focusing intently on clearing her mind of the old memory, Stella had simply nodded as Sierra seemed to be taking her advice. Speaking wasn't entirely necessary at this point, especially as she neither wanted to interrupt her own train of thought, nor interrupt the younger Slytherin's attempts at clearing her mind of whatever had been bothering her. Once she'd gotten her own mind sufficiently clear, she let the potion that she'd already drank seep through her body as she focused on a clear image of the Room of Requirement, last time she'd been in there, not to mention the dancing and then what had happened afterward.

Crystallizing the memory in her mind, she smiled faintly,eyes shut in concentration, as she felt the vague sense of weightlessness that she'd felt previously, only stronger this time. Maybe it actually was a stronger memory, or maybe it was just the fact she had to struggle less to not think of bad memories with this one. In the back of her mind, she still acknowledged that there was at least one bad memory attached, but she'd gotten good at ignoring that by now. Forgive and forget... That was easier when it was attached to memories of someone who had only hurt her because of a potion, not really willfully, and therefore she was able to just focus on the good memory. And she opened her eyes to find that she could almost reach out and touch a few of the balloons that were floating around the room, then giggled. This was definitely an odd feeling, but also much less frightening than actual flying. She could handle this.

This was kind of fun. Indy liked it a lot, although she kind of hoped that she could find a memory that would make her go higher, not that much higher, but just a little bit. Indy was sure right now that she could probably touch the floor if she stretched her toes. So she was going to try and think about a happier memory. Hmm. Maybe meeting Kourt? The girl was her best friend after all. Her first best friend, and that did mean a lot to Indy. She liked having friends, and was glad to finally have a best friend now. It was very good. And it seemed that the memory worked quite well, because she was floating a little higher now. Only about four inches off the floor, but she was glad. She didn't really want to go any higher. She really was enjoying this lesson now, the floating was reaaaaly fun.

Lilly took some potion. Happiest memory? She thought for a minute. Oooh. Her and Violet's 8th birthday! They went to a cool theme park with mum, dad and Rose went together. Wow! She was floating! It was fun! She could nearly reach the ceiling!
