I couldn't help but submit another story! I just got another idea and knew I had to submit it, so here it is. It's kind of like A Cinderella Story, but with a few tweaks here and there. Hope you enjoy it.

Chapter 1:
Young Love Stinks

Rose Weasley sat in Transfiguration doodling in her notebook, completely oblivious to what the professor was saying. The lined paper was covered in hearts, a few with writing in it. Some said D.T + R.W, or Mrs. Derek Turner.

Rose and Derek had been dating since their fifth year, and Rose really thought she had found the one, the one for her. “Ms. Weasley? Ms. Weasley! Kindly pay attention to the class. You can doodle how much you love Mr. Turner later.” Professor Quinn said turning back to the chalkboard. Rose blushed, her cheeks matching the color of her hair. “Sorry professor.” She replied closing her notebook. She was glad that Derek wasn’t in the same class as her. He was seven floors below her in Potions.

The bell rang ending the day of classes. Rose grabbed her things, putting them away in her bag. She slung the bag onto her shoulder and left the room for the Gryffindor Common Room. As she walked down the corridor her cousin Albus came out of an empty classroom. Rose smiled at him and asked, “Hey Al. Had a good day?” Albus returned the smile. “Yeah, it was pretty good. Glad the weekend is starting.” He replied sighing. His day hadn’t been that great. He had just finished making a fool of himself in front of Elizabeth Carter.

Rose nodded. “Yeah me too. Finally get to spend time with Derek.”

“Must be hard to find time together. Since he’s in Ravenclaw and all. What’s worse is that it’s N.E.W.T year.”

Rose nodded again, but smiled. “We made time in our busy study schedule for a date tonight.” They arrived outside the Fat Lady’s portrait and Al gave the password before replying. “Oh that’s nice.” Rose and Albus walked through the portrait hole into the cheery common room. They said goodbye and went off towards their own dormitory.

Rose set her bag down next to her bed and flung her wardrobe open. She sorted through her closet, looking for a dress to wear. She pulled a green one out and put it on with black capri tights that went up to her knees. She found matching heels and pinned her hair up.

She looked herself over in the mirror and grabbed her purse, leaving the dorm just as one of her roommates came in. “Going somewhere Rose?” She asked smiling. “Hey Jen, got a date with Derek.” Rose replied. “Well have fun then.”

Rose closed the dorm door and went down to the entrance hall to wait for Derek. He arrived a few minutes later, a small smile on his face. He looked at Rose and said, “You look nice.” Rose smiled back and twirled around, showing her dress off. “Why thank you. Shall we get going? My treat tonight.” She asked holding her purse up. Derek nodded simply and took Rose’s hand.

They walked to Hogsmeade, talking about how their day had been and how they hated having so much homework. Finally they arrived at the little village, making their way over to the new restaurant, Madam Florres’s Kitchen.

The little house elf seated them, giving them their menus. Through the entire evening Rose felt that Derek was a little distant from her, not his normal talkative self. She decided to let it pass, he would probably tell her later, she thought smiling at Derek.

“I had a good time Derek.” Rose said as the two arrived outside the portrait hole. Derek nodded and turned ready to leave, but Rose grabbed his wrist, forcing him to look at her. “Derek what’s going on with you?” She searched his hazel with her brown ones. They were the only trait that she had inherited from her mother.

Derek sighed taking Roses hands in his. “Rose, I…I don’t know this – uh – relationship.” He began, unsure on how to say what he was trying to say. “Rose I love you, but I can't…we can’t go out anymore.” Derek finished, letting go of Roses hands.

Her brown eyes were swimming with tears that Rose couldn’t keep them from sliding down her face. Derek was breaking up her? She looked at him, furious and yelled, “Derek you don’t tell a girl you love her and then dump her!” Derek shrugged and walked off to his own common room.

Rose stood there in the empty corridor, tears streaming down her face. The Fat Lady looked down at the young, crying, red head. She clicked her tongue and hiccupped. “Young love,” Hiccup. “So…sp dangerous.” Another hiccup. Rose turned to face the painting. “Oh shut up you drunk old hag!” She then began running, where? She didn’t know, just as long as she was far from that horrid spot.

She ended up outside, by the lake. Rose sat down by the edge of the water, taking her shoes off. New tear formed and fell down her cheeks. ‘This can’t get any worse!’ She thought sobbing.

Chapter 2
The Astronomy Tower

Scorpius left the Transfiguration classroom, chuckling at what Professor Quinn had said the Rose. She was such a teenage girl, doodling hearts in her notebook, thinking about her boyfriend 24/7, so like a girl. He arrived in the Slytherin Common Room and sat down on a coach, relaxing at the thought of a weekend. It was only two weeks into the term and they had already been loaded with homework from every class!

As Scorpius relaxed on the couch by the fire, his best friend Kelly Zambini came down from the girl’s dormitory. Unlike most of the girls in school, Kelly was totally different. She was more of a tom boy, growing up with three older brothers. Kelly noticed her friend sitting on the coach and walked over to him. “If I see one more shade of pink eye shadow, I’m going to puke my eye lids off.” Kelly said sitting down next to the bleach blond.

“Poppy and her friends trying to give you a make over again?” Scorpius asked referring to Poppy Parkinson. Yup, Pansy Parkinson’s daughter. Poppy’s father had died a ‘mysterious’ death when she was only three, so she went under her mothers maiden name.

“Yeah, and I was so close to hexing her. So CLOSE!” Kelly said whining. “I hate having to share a room with those ego sized freaks.” She added glaring at in the direction of her dorm. “So how was your day?” Kelly asked after a period of silence. “Fine, Weasley was yelled at for being all lovey dovey about Turner in Transfiguration.” Scorpius replied laughing.

The two friends joked about all the couples in their year for a while, before Scorpius looked at the clock. “How about we go down to eat dinner? I have to go the Astronomy Tower after.” He said getting up and picking his bag up. Kelly agreed and they headed upstairs to the Great Hall. They sat down at the Slytherin Table and were soon joined by Lloyd Goyle and Herald Crabbe.

“Where have you two been?” Kelly asked taking a bite from her burger. “Just gave Weasley’s younger brother a swirly.” Lloyd replied chuckling. Herald simply nodded his head, stuffing chicken wing after chicken wing into his mouth. ‘It’s amazing that he doesn’t choke with all that food in his big mouth.’ Kelly thought staring at Herald, a disgusted look on her face.

They all talked about their day, but were interrupted when Poppy arrived and sat down next to Scorpius, staring lovingly at him. “Hey Scorpius.” She said all giggly. Scorpius rolled his steel gray eyes and replied. “Hey Poppy.” This caused even more giggled to erupt from Poppy. “So I was wondering if you wanted to go for a walk around the lake with me.” She said pouting her pug-like face. Scorpius looked at an imaginary watch on his wrist and grabbed his bag. “Uh look at the time! I need to go to-uh-the place I need to go to. Maybe some other time Poppy.” Scorpius said rushing out the Great Hall.

He rushed upstairs to the Astronomy Tower, looking back to make sure Poppy and her group of girl friends weren’t following him. He arrived in the high tower and breathed in and out heavily. He set his things down and began doing his star chart. After and hour or so of boring work, Scorpius turned the head of the telescope down towards the lake. He saw a figure sitting at the edge. It was a girl, her hair tied up and she was wearing a lovely outfit.

Scorpius looked around him and grabbed some parchment he wrote down a message and folded it up into a air plane. He set a charm and sent of towards the girl.

Chapter 3:
Smarty Girl & Mr. PB

Rose sat near the lake, tears no longer spilling down her face. No the tears had been replaced with anger. How could he do that to me, she thought, how can he tell me his loves me and then just dump me?! Rose was ready to go back to the common room when she felt something poke her back. “OW!” She yelled snatching the plane. She opened it up and read it.

Hi.

Ok, this is weird, Rose thought looking around to see if she could find the sender. No one else but Rose was outside. She folded the piece of paper up and rushed upstairs to the common room. She barged into the girl’s dormitory and ran over to her bed. She took out a quill and began writing.

Ok, who are you and why are you writing to me?!

Rose took out her wand and tapped the paper. It folded itself into the air plane and flew out the window just as Lily entered the room. Rose looked at her and hid her wand. “Rose is something wrong?” Lily asked noticing her cousins red eyes and wet cheeks. “Uh no. Nothings wrong.” Rose said sitting down on her bed. Lily frowned and sat down on the bed next to Rose’s. “Really, because I heard the Derek dumped you.”

“Who told you that?!” Rose demanded. “The Fat Drunk Lady.” Lily replied simply. “So is it true.” She asked looking at Rose. Rose leaned onto her pillow and nodded, a new set of tears flooding her brown eyes. “He…told he loved me and just….” But before she could finish she started bawling her eyes out. Lily got up from her seat and moved over to Rose, putting an arm around her and comforting her, saying things like:

“It’s ok Rosie. It’ll be ok”

“Derek’s a scum bag, he has clue what he’s missing out on.”

“Want me to hex him?”

Rose laughed at the last remark and stood up, walking over to the bathroom. “Thanks Lil.” She said washing her face. She changed into her pajamas and sat back down on her bed next to Lily. “I’ll see you tomorrow; I need to study for a huge Transfiguration test.” She said standing up. “You got any butter beer? I’ll need it to stay up.” Rose nodded. “In my wardrobe; under my extra robes.” Lily walked over to the wardrobe and took two butter beers, thanked Rose, and left for her own dorm room.

Scorpius waited in the Astronomy Tower, passing back and forth, back and forth, waiting for the mystery girl to reply. Sure his greeting had been rather short, but she had rushed off, maybe to get a quill so she could reply. He heard a swoosh from outside the window and turned to look at it, hoping to see a paper air plane.

Scorpius turned and saw what he was hoping to see. He took the air plane and opened it. He laughed slightly, expecting the reply. ‘Of course.’ He thought picking up his quill, his Astronomy homework long forgotten. He wrote a reply and tapped the paper, sending it off.

Rose looked at the window as the plane flew in and landed on her drawer. She picked it up soundlessly and unfolded it.

I’ll go by Mr. PB so we don’t give our identities away. And I saw you by the lake. You looked like you were crying. Why?

Mr. PB

Rose:

Ok, I guess I’ll be Smarty Girl.
I was crying because, well, my boyfriend broke up with me.
But I don’t think you would understand that.

Smarty Girl

Scorpius:

Oh, I’m sorry to hear that.
And I’ve had my heart broken by girls before. Though I except it’s different when a guy breaks up with you.

Mr. PB

The conversation went on for hours until Scorpius was caught upstairs by the care taker. He didn’t get a chance to send Smarty Girl and reply, so Rose sat in her bed waiting till four in the morning for Mr. PB to reply.

Chapter 4:
Payback Time

Scorpius woke the next morning, his arm sore from having to scrub the owlery walls, floors, runway, everything that the owls pooped on, which was……EVERYTHING! What was worse was that he had been forced to use a toothbrush. He groaned as he sat up in his bed, rubbing his arm.

As he brushed his teeth (close to gagging) he remembered that he had not sent a reply to Smarty Girl. He closed his eyes, groaning at how stupid he was. He really wanted to meet the girl yet he was to dumb not to send her a reply, even after he returned from detention.

Spitting into the sink, Scorpius decided to write the girl a reply after breakfast. She would understand, right? He took his shower and headed upstairs to the Great Hall, sitting down at the Slytherin Table next to Kelly, Lloyd, and Herald. “Morning guys.” He said placing some sausages on his plate. “Where were you? We stayed up till one waiting for you to come back from the tower.” Herald said stuffing scrambled eggs into his already full mouth.

Scorpius cut a piece of his sausage out and chewed it slowly before responding. “I….fell asleep.” He lied. He didn’t want Lloyd and Herald to know that he had met a girl, those two couldn’t keep a secret if their pointless lives depended on it. Scorpius also didn’t feel comfortable telling Kelly yet either. True she was his best friend and he would eventually tell her either way, but right now just wasn’t the best time.

His three friends went on eating, not noticing the lie. “Heard Xander gave you detention.” Kelly said buttering some toast. Scorpius nodded, placing another piece of sausage in his mouth. He looked around the table and noticed Poppy looking at him, no not looking, staring! She noticed Scorpius watching her and blushed, returning to her empty plate.

“You should have seen her last night. She kept coming over to my bed asking where you were and when you were coming back. I was so close to strangling her toothpick neck.” Kelly said demonstrating on the piece of toast she was holding. Scorpius chuckled and set his fork down, getting up, and as he reached the twin oak doors, she came running up.

“Scorpy! Wait!” Poppy yelled waving her arms frantically. Scorpius sighed and waited for Poppy to catch up. She stopped next to him, pouting her face, making her look exactly like her pug faced mother. “Where were you last night? I waited and waited and you never showed up.” She said. “None of your business Poppy.” Scorpius replied. “Oh well, there’s a Hogsmeade trip today. Everyone’s leaving in 10 minutes, wanna come with me?” Poppy asked rocking back and forth20on her heels. Scorpius rolled his eyes. ‘I might as well. Maybe she’ll leave me alone if I go’ Scorpius thought. “Sure Poppy, I’d love to go with you. Meet in the entrance hall.” He said winking at her. Poppy squealed, running back to her friends to tell them the good news.

Scorpius rolled his eyes again, making his way back to his dorms. ‘What did I just do?!’ He thought.

Rose sat at the Gryffindor Table, dark circles under her brown eyes. Hugo took a break from demolishing his food and looked at his older sister. “Swomtwing wong Wose? You wook weepy?” He said. Rose shook her head and poured herself a goblet of pumpkin juice. “I was just up really, really late.” She said taking a sip. She heard a squeal, almost like a pig squeal and looked around to see if she could find the owner of the sound. She saw Poppy Parkinson running to her friends, an excited expression on her pug like face. Her vision moved to the oak doors where Scorpius Malfoy stood, rolling his eyes and looking disgusted, before leaving the hall.

Rose continued sipping her juice, which miraculously woke her up quite a bit, until it was time to go to Hogsmeade. Rose had agreed early that day to go the little wizard village with Lily, Hugo, and Albus. She followed her cousins and sibling out of the Great Hall and into the Entrance Hall. She waited while the kooky old caretaker checked their permission slips.

Then finally she was on her way to her favorite thing about Hogwarts. Th[/FONT]ey arrived, stepping onto the main street of the town. “Well where to first guys?” Lily asked looking around anxiously at the stores. “How ‘bouts we go see if Uncle George is at the shop?” Rose asked heading for Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes.

A few years before even James Potter had begun Hogwarts, George had went ahead and bought Zonkos out, for the memory of his twin brother. The four walked up to the store and peered in through the glass. The store was already packed full of students, you could barely see anything. “There! I think I see him!” Albus said spotting some bright red hair deep in the store. They all rushed into the store, pushing and shoving their way to the counter. George stood behind the wooden aisle, placing some Wonderwitch Products on the shelf behind him. “Hey Uncle George.” Lily said looking at the produ cts. George turned around to face his nieces and nephews. “Oh, hey! Nice to see all of you here.” He said smiling.

“Great to see you too. You’re normal never here when we have trips.” Rose said smiling. “So got anything new?” They all asked after a while. George laughed and began showing them the new products. Rose left the shop with five Patented Daydream Charms, Lily with Patented Daydream Charms, Albus with a month supply of Skiving Snackbox, and Hugo with Shielding Hats and Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder. As they exited the shop an owl flew down near them and landed on Rose’s shoulder. “What the heck?” She mumbled taking the note from the bird. She looked at the front of the folded up paper and smiled to herself, slipping it into her pocket.

“What was that Rosie?” Albus asked raising an eyebrow. “Nothing, just a note from a professor.” Rose said. She didn’t want to tell her cousins and brother that she was talking to a guy she didn’t even know. They would probably yell at her for being dumb and maybe even tell her overprotective father and mother (though Hermione wasn’t overprotective). The other three shrugged and began walking down the street again, looking for their next stop.

They stopped outside a store to look at the window display, when Rose felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around to face Derek. He smiled at her, causing her to blush slightly. “Hey. Great day, huh?” He said cheerfully, as if nothing had happened the night before. Rose pushed her thoughts on how cute he w as to the side and looked him up and down, a puzzled look on her face. “You look familiar; did I see you in the zoo parade?” She asked walking away. Albus, Hugo, and Lily tried to hold their laughter in. This was so unlike Rose. When they could no longer hold it in, they burst out laughing, clutching their stomachs from laughing so hard. Derek still stood there looked shocked. Hey guys! Happy Fourth of July for those who live here in America! I thought I would do something special for y'all so I am doing a....*drum roll* LOVE IS DANGEROUS DOUBLE FEATURE! That means I'm posting two chapters today! YAY!

Chapter 6:
A Long Talk

Rose arrived back at the castle and made her way up to the girls dormitory in Gryffindor Tower. As she sat down on her bed she remembered the note she had received earlier at Hogsmeade. Carefully she unfolded it and read the words that had been written.

Sorry I didn’t reply. The old coot Xander caught me being out late. Made me clean the owlery. Uck! So how’s your day been so far?

Rose laughed as she read the message. She searched for a quill in her trunk and wrote her reply.

Scorpius sat on a window sill on the second floor corridor, staring out at the grounds. He didn’t want to go back to the common room. He’d have to face questions from Kelly and the two other nincompoops he called friends. From the corner of his eye he saw something flying towards him and cautiously lend over to see what it was. It was a paper airplane and that meant Smarty Girl. He grabbed the plane and quickly unfolded the note.

That’s alright, but I do hate you for making me wait till four in the morning for a reply.
My day was ok I guess. I saw my ex-boyfriend at Hogsmeade. That just kind of ruined my day. How was your day?

Scorpius looked around for quill. He got off the window sill and grabbed a quill from a passing second year.

My day wasn’t that great either. I went to Hogsmeade with a psycho. Not kidding. But on my way back I saw a hilarious thing.

She started talking about what she wanted for out one month anniversary. I only went out with her so she’d leave me alone! Not to find a girlfriend.

No, not now anyway. I guess I’m just to busy with N.E.W.Ts to worry about having a girlfriend. My dad would kill me if I failed.

My mom would kill me. My dads doesn’t really care about my grades as long as I try my best.

There concersation went on and on and on. They finally stopped talking around dinner time, promising to talk again soon.

Chapter 7:
He’s Cute

Rose woke up the next morning, more happy than the day before. She had had a great time talking, or rather writing, to Mr. P.B. Fortunately they hadn’t spent to long talking cause the next day they were having classes again. She crawled out of bed and got ready before heading down to the Great Hall. She sat down next to Hugo and smiled up at her friends. “Good morning guys.” Rose said grabbing a roll. “Morning Rose. Feeling better today?” Albus asked biting into his toast. Rose nodded and began to butter the roll. “Much better thanks.” She replied.

Scorpius sat at the Slytherin table eating Pixie Puffs when Kelly appeared out of no where , sitting down across from her friend. “So how’d Hogsmeade go?” She asked, a smirk on her lips. Scorpius glared up at her and said, “Horrible ok, horrible! Poppy thinks were a…a couple! She’s already talking about what we should do for our one month anniversary! The girl is crazy, Kelly, crazy!” Scorpius said.

“Calm down Scorpius. You should hear what Poppy thinks of the date.” Kelly said putting some waffles on her plate. “What?” Scorpius asked lifting an eyebrow. “She thinks that your scared of a commitment. She thinks that you’ll get used to it and a whole bunch of other crap.” Kelly said waving her fork around. “Again, she’s crazy.” Scorpius said pushing his bowl of cereal away. “Anyways, I’ll see you later Kelly. I need to get to potions.” He said getting up and picking his bag up.

He walked down to the dungeon classroom and looked up at the chalkboard. It had a seating chart on it and he was sitting next to Rose Weasley. Scorpius looked around a spotted the red head talking to girl behind her. He walked over to the seat next to her. “Hey Rose.” He said setting his bag down on the table. “Guess were working together.”

Rose nodded her head and smiled. “Yup. I wonder which potion we have to make.” She said flipping through her textbook. “Let’s hope it’s something interesting.” Scorpius said turning to the front of the room as Professor Linden walked in. “Good morning class. I thought we’d start this year out with a little project.” He said, causing the students to groan loudly. “Oh come on. Suck it up. Now you will work with the person next to you and I’ll let you decided as partners on which potion you’ll make. The potion must be at least half way done by the end of class. You may begin.” Linden said sitting down at his desk.

Rose and Scorpius got to work flipping through their textbook, trying to decide which potion they should make. “How about the Confusing Concoction?” Scorpius said showing Rose the page. Rose examined the page and nodded her head. “Sure. It’s a concoction so all the potion is a mixture of ingredients.” She said. They began working, chopping up ingredients and stirring them in the cauldron. As they worked they made conversation. “Nice job dissing Turner yesterday. That was hilarious. ‘You look familiar; did I see you in the zoo parade?’ Hilarious!” Scorpius said chuckling. Rose smiled. “Thanks.” She looked at Scorpius, smiling at how charming his grey eyes looked. Scorpius looked over at her and smiled, “What?” He asked. “Nothing.” Rose said turning back to the potion. ‘His really cute. And he’s really sweet too….’

Thanks Shannon! Fourth of July is really awesome! Their are fireworks and everything! In the small town that I live in, we have this huge fair come over and set up rides and entertainment in the soccer feilds by the community center. Then around 9:30 the fireworks show begins! It's amazing!

And you'll just have to wait and see what happens....:whistle:

New Chapter!
 

Ok, so all during my week long break I was thinking. I have a little over a month till school starts again. During seventh grade, I spent most of my time here on Snitchseeker and didn't do my best on homework or study for test. I made the AB Honer Roll, but I want to make the A Honer Roll in eighth grade, so I've made a decision. I will be updating every week on Sunday and Thursday, during the summer. When school starts I will update every other week on the same days. Thanks, and I hope you undestand.

Chapter 8:
Just A Kiss….Right?

Rose and Scorpius sat in one the empty dungeons, working on their Confusing Concoction. As they added ingredients to their cauldron, they chatted, talking about school, friends, and other things. “So what’s it like being the niece of the famous Harry Potter?” Scorpius asked while adding flubberworm mucous to the red colored potion. Rose sighed. “It’s a little strange I suppose, but I bet its weirder for Lily, Albus, and James. You know, being his kids.” She said shrugging her shoulders. Scorpius nodded his head. “My dad told me about the time they were fighting in the girls bathroom. I was a little creped out.” He said chuckling.

“Yeah, dads told me tons of things about your dad. I remember on our very first day at Hogwarts he said that I shouldn’t be nice to you or grandpa would disinherit me.” Rose said bursting out into laughter. Scorpius grinned. “That’s exactly what me dad said, except he said that my grandpa would kill me, not disinherit.” They continued chatting and making their potion. Around dinner time, they decided to stop for the day and meet up tomorrow and finish up.

Walking up to the Great Hall together, they went their separate ways for their own house tables. Rose watched as Scorpius walked to the Slytherin Table. How could a guy so sweet be in a house that’s so…..mean? She shrugged the question off and sat down next to Albus. “Hey. Where were you?” Lily asked looking up from her qudditch book. “I was in down in the dungeons with Scorpius.” Rose replied putting some of the Chinese noodles on her plate. “Wou were with Mawfoy?” Hugo asked, his mouth stuffed with chicken. “They were probably working on their potion for tomorrow.” Albus said.

“We were.” Rose said placing the noodles on her fork in her mouth. “He’s not that bad.” She said chewing slowly. “Nothing like his dad anyway.”

“How would you know?”

“Hello, I’ve heard the stories our parents tell us about his dad. Scorpius is nothing like him.” Rose said putting more noodles in her mouth. “So what are planning to do tonight?” Lily asked cutting some of her steak. “Just planning on hanging out in my dorm really. You can join me if you want.” Rose replied swallowing. “Sure, it’ll be fun.” Lily said placing some food in her mouth. After dinner the two girls went up to the Gryffindor Common Room while the boys went off to play qudditch.

Walking up to Rose’s dorm they sat down on the ground next to her bed and took out sweets, pigging out. They talked about different things, and eventually got to the subject of dating. “Lily, do you think I’ll ever find the one for me?” Rose asked sighing. “Of course you will.” Her cousin responded, shocked that Rose would even ask such a thing. “I wish I was like you. Your like sticky paper.” Rose said chuckling. Lily could get boys left and right, she had a certain charm to her.

Rose waited outside the dungeon that she and Scorpius were using, looking at her watch occasionally. Where was he? Scorpius came rounding the corner, running for his life. He grabbed Roses wrist and quickly pulled her inside the dungeon room. “What was that?” Rose asked. “Poppy….following….me.” Scorpius replied, taking in deep breaths between each word. “That girl is a nightmare.” He said finally catching his breath. “Yeah she is. Let’s get to work.” Rose said pulling the phial with the unfinished potion in it.

Suddenly the door flew up, a angry looking Poppy Parkinson standing in the doorway. She looked at Scorpius, not noticing Rose at first. But when she did notice, she looked at Scorpius. “What is she doing here!” Poppy asked pointing at a pale Rose. “Poppy, we’re working on our potions homework.” Scorpius said rolling his eyes. Poppy ignored Scorpius’s answer and spoke again. “Your cheating on me aren’t you.” She said. “How could you Scorpie?!”

Scorpius groaned and looked at Rose with an apologetic look before turning back to Poppy. “Look Poppy,” He began. “We were never going out. So I’m not cheating on you at all.” He said. “Now leave us alone.” Poppy stared at Scorpius and crossed her arms. “Why should I?” She asked glaring at Rose. Scorpius groaned again, but suddenly perked up as an idea came to him. “So I can do this.” He said grabbing Roses wrist again and pulling her in, planting his lips on her.

Roses eyes were wide open, shocked at what was going on. As Scorpius pulled away, she looked at Poppy and then at Scorpius, and then at the wall, unsure what to do. Poppy on the other hand, exploded. “HOW COULD YOU! I HATE YOU!” And stormed out the room, slamming the door behind her. Scorpius sighed of sigh of relief and turned to Rose. “Sorry bout that. Had to do something to get her off my back.” He said. Rose looked at Scorpius and nodded her head. “No, it was fine. I understand.” She said quietly. “Let’s get this over with.” She said sitting down and pouring the potion into the cauldron. Scorpius looked at her, a little concerned she might be upset with him, and sat down next to her, beginning to work. While they work, Rose’s mind couldn’t help but travel back to the kiss. She hadn’t seen it coming, but then who would. It just felt so…..strange to her.

When they finished the potion, Rose quickly put it into their phial and left the dungeon as quick as she could. She ran into her dorm and sat down on her bed. She needed to talk to someone, but who? Not Lily, she wouldn’t really understand, neither would Albus or Hugo. That’s it! Mr. P.B! She searched through her drawers, looking for parchment and a quill. She scribbled a note done and sent it off, waiting for the reply.

Poppy: "You're cheating on me aren't you?!"

Aaahhh Marcy I love it. Scorpius and Rose kissed!! Even though it was just to get Poppy to go away it was so aahh!! :D And I understand about the posts. Even though I joined SS over the summer I won't be able to get on a lot during the school year because I have basketball, I have to ride my horse, and I will have tons of homework.

First I would like to thank you all for being so nice about the posting days. I love you all, and I love writing this story, I really do. But as you all understand, school is much more important to me right now, even though it hasn't begun yet. Still got over a month til it does.

Chapter 9:
A Talk

Scorpius watched as Rose walked away quickly, a confused expression on his hurt face. Did Rose hate him? He just wanted Poppy off his back, he thought she would understand that being the understanding person she was. He sighed and walked back into the dungeon to clean up. While he scrubbed the cauldron clean, Scorpius’s mind traveled to the kiss. He had felt something when he had kissed Rose. What it was he had felt, he had no clue.

Then it dawned on him. Could he possibly like Rose Weasley? Uh being 16 was so confusing, he hated it. When Scorpius finished up he left to go back to the common room, and as he entered the dimly light room, a paper air plane came flying towards him. He immediately knew who it was, his dour mood gone and long forgotten. He snatched the air plane out the air and unfolded it.

Can we talk? You’re the only person I could think of going too. My friends wouldn’t understand.

As Rose read that last line, she sighed. That was kind of how she had felt when Malfoy had kissed her. When he had kissed her it had felt so strange, but wonderful at the same time. She had felt all tingly and warm. Oh what was with me, Scorpius would never go out with a girl like me. He probably wants a more sophisticated girl that his parents would like, she thought frowning. She picked her quill up and scribbled a reply down, saying that she was tired and that they would talk again later.

The next day was the most awkward day ever. Rose and Scorpius had almost every class together. Potions was the worst though. Rose sat in her seat, trying to keep her focus on the board in front of her, but it was so darn hard with Scorpius looking over at her every few minutes. She had decided not to take Mr. P.B’s advice and tell Scorpius that she liked him, it was to risky in her opinion. Scorpius looked at Rose again. Sighing a little. She still seemed mad at him. He decided to apologize again after class, hopefully he would be able to catch her this time. After every class Scorpius had tried to apologize to her, but Rose would always leave the classroom before everyone else and run off to her next class. Sighing, he pushed the rest of his thoughts aside, turning his attention to the professor instead.

When the bell rang, Rose quickly grabbed her things and made her run for the door. She walked out into the hallway and sighed, beginning to walk towards the stairs, but she was quickly stopped as someone grabbed her wrist. She closed her eyes and groaned, knowing exactly who it would be. She turned around to face the person. Scorpius was looking at her, his eyes pleading for Rose not to run away. “Can I help you?” She asked. “Rose, look I’m really sorry about….you know…kissing you yesterday.” He said.

Rose looked at Scorpius and just melted away as her brown eyes scanned his grey ones. She smiled and nodded her head. “That’s ok. I understand. Isn’t your fault that Poppy’s such a dim witted ninny.” Rose said laughing. Scorpius grinned, glad that Rose had forgiven him. “How about I buy you a drink at Three Broomsticks? My way of apologizing even more.” He said, putting a charming smile on. Rose looked at him, and melted even more. Oh, I hate him for being so adorable. “Sure. But your paying.” Rose said smirking. Scorpius grinned wider and they set off for Hogsmeade.

Chapter 10:
The Flyers

Rose woke up the next morning as sun streamed in through the window, hitting her smiled face. She sat up and rubbed her eyes, stretching. She had had a great time with Scorpius at the Three Broomsticks the pervious night. They had talked about the usually things, eventually telling stories from when they were little. Rose tied her hair up and walked down to the Great Hall, still wearing night shirt and shorts. It was the weekend, almost everyone came down in their PJs.

She walked over to the Gryffindor Table and sat down across from Lily, placing some waffles on her plate. As she poured syrup onto her plate, she looked around and noticed that Albus and Hugo were no where to be seen. “Where are Al and Huey?” She asked setting the syrup pitcher down. “They were up late playing Exploding Snap.” Lily replied not looking up from her book. “Speaking of late, one of your roommates told me that you didn’t get in till two in the morning.” Lily said raising her left eyebrow. “Where were you?”

Rose looked at her. “What are you my dad?”

“Don’t you mean mom?”

“No I mean dad.”

The two laughed and continued eating. “So where were you? Please tell me?” Lily said pouring herself another bowl of Pixie Puffs. “I was out with…Malfoy.” Rose said hesitantly. Lily looked at her, the cereal on her spoon dropping back into her bowl. “What? You were out with….with Malfoy!” She yelled. A few people turned to look at the two girls, but they shrugged it off and turned back to whatever it was they had been doing. “Shut up Lily.” Rose said glaring at her. “He took me to the Three Broomsticks to apologize for kissing me.” She said.

“He kissed you!” Lily yelled again. And again, heads turned to look. Lily looked at them. “What do looking at! You’ve never hear a girl yell?!” She asked. “He kissed me because Poppy was bothering him, no big deal.” Rose said. But it was a big deal. To Rose that kiss had been amazing, but a still a little strange. All the pervious night she and Scorpius had avoided talking about potions and Poppy. Lily and Rose continued eating silently, both unsure what to say next. That is until their brothers arrived. Both sat down next his sister. “Did you see the posters?” Hugo asked pouring himself a goblet of juice. “Posters? For what?” Lily asked. “There’s going to be a Halloween dance.” Albus said. “Here, we picked up a flyer.” Hugo said placing a brightly colored piece of paper between the two girls.

“It says we have to dress up.” Lily said. “And it also says we cant dress up like witches or wizards.” Rose said pointing to some tiny print towards the bottom. They all laughed and talked about the dance.

Scorpius walked into the Great Hall and looked around. He noticed Rose Weasley walking towards her house table and smiled. She looked cute in her pajamas and her hair all messy. He walked over to the Slytherin Table and sat down next to Kelly. “Hey Kel.” He said putting pancakes on his plate. “What’s up?” Kelly swallowed and took of sip of her juice before replying. “Nothing much. Just tired.” She cut some of her sausage. “What about you?” Scorpius finished pouring syrup of pancakes and began cutting. “Just thinking about that dance.” He said. “You going?” Kelly shrugged. “I don’t know. It all seems over rated.”

Scorpius looked at her confused. “What? You don’t want to go to a party? What is wrong with you?” He asked putting a hand on Kelly’s forehead. Kelly slapped his hand away and laughed. “Nothings wrong.” She said putting more food In her mouth. Scorpius laughed, but suddenly stopped when he heard a girlish squeal come from near by. He slowly turned towards his right. Poppy was sitting next to him, her smiled face right next to his. “Can I help you Poppy?” He asked. “Scorpie. I forgive you. Now want to go to the dance with me?” She asked getting to the point right away. Scorpius looked at Kelly. She shrugged and picked her plate up, moving a few seat down, she didn’t want to be near Poppy.

Scorpius turned back towards Poppy. “Uh. No Poppy, I don’t want to go with you. Now if you’ll excuse me.” He said getting up and running out of the hall. Poppy frowned and turned back towards her friends. “Well I guess your going alone.” One friend said. “No. He’s just joking. You’ll see.” Poppy said. “He’ll come running into my beautiful arms.”

The worst possible thing has happened. I'm sorry to say this but...Marcy Moo has WRITERS BLOCK! This happened for both my stories! It sucks! So I won't be posting chapters for a while. I'm super sorry. :cry: I'll try to have a chapter up as soon as I can.

Chapter 11:
Should We?

Scorpius ran into the Slytherin Common Room, jumped over the couch and climbed up the stairs to his dorm, locking the door. “Poppy is a mad, mad, mad, girl.” He mumbled sitting down on his bed. How could she think that I would go to the dance with her?! I told her I hate her….well actually I showed her. Scorpius thought. His mind drifted away from mental Poppy to the dance.

But who should he go with? Poppy? Defiantly not! She was out of the question. Kelly? No, they were just best friends, nothing more. Rose? Scorpius wanted to ask her, but he decided against it. Kissing her was awkward enough for both of them that just asking her to the ball would be…well who knows. Scorpius couldn’t think of anyone else to ask to the ball….SMARTY GIRL! That’s it! But they hadn’t talked about meeting each other. Maybe now was the right time. Scorpius pulled some parchment and a quill out of his drawer and began writing.

Rose was still seated at the Gryffindor Table with her cousins when a pink paper airplane came soaring towards her, poking her in the arm. “Whose’s that from?” Lily asked raising an eyebrow and smirking. Rose stuck her tongue out at Lily and unfolded the note.

So I’m guessing by now you’ve heard about the Halloween ball by now.
Well I was thinking…when are we gonna meet? We’ve been talking to each other since the beginning of term.

Mr. P.B

“Who’s Mr. P.B?” Lily asked looking over Roses shoulder. “Lily!” Rose yelled. “He’s no one. Just this guy I’ve been talking too.” She said looking around the table for a quill. “Any of you have a quill?” She asked looking at Albus and Hugo. “Tell us who Mr. P.B is first.” Albus said holding up a quill he had snatched from a first year. “It’s none of your business.” Rose replied reaching for the quill. “Tell us first.” Hugo said. “You know what. I’ll just summon a quill.” Rose said. Wait, she’d had forgotten her wand in her dorm. “Tell us!” All three of them said. “Fine. He’s this guy I’ve been writing to since last month.” Rose said pulling the quill out of Albus’s hand.

“Well have you met him?” Hugo asked. “No. That’s what he’s asking me.” Rose said as she began to write a reply.

I have no clue. When do you think would be the right time?
The dance? Maybe that’s why you mentioned it. *raises eyebrow*

Smarty Girl

“Smarty Girl? Why’d you pick that?” Hugo asked. “Cause unlike you, I have a brain.” Rose said folding the paper up and talking her brothers wand. She tapped it and it rose into the air and flew out of the doors.

Scorpius sighed. The only parchment he had been able to find was pink. Smarty Girl was probably laughing at him for being so girly. And when the airplane returned, flying through the closed door he was a little nervous to open it. Not because of the pink parchment, but of her reply. He slowly unfolded the parchment and began to read, picking his quill up.

That’s exactly what I was thinking.
I’ll meet you in the middle of the Great Hall at 8:00.
Alright?

“So are you gonna go?” Lily asked looking at Rose. Rose looked down at the pink parchment, shrugging her shoulders. “I don’t know.” She replied. “I’ll have to think about it.” She folded the parchment up and put it into her pocket. “I’m gonna go on a walk around the Lake.” Rose said gulping her pumpkin juice down and getting up from her chair.

Still no reply. What was taking her so long? Was she ignoring him?! WHERE WAS HER REPLY?! Scorpius couldn’t taking the waiting anymore, he got up from his bed and opened the door, looking around before entering the common room. It was completely empty, everyone was probably in the Great Hall. Scorpius sat down on one of the couches and sighed, looking around the place. And then he noticed it. The airplane. He snatched it out of the air and unfolded it. He had never been so anxious about going to a dance.
