Vianna returned Ferris's smile and took the boy's hand into her much smaller one. "We'll come up with something and everything will be alright," she said softly. Though with time, she had learned to become more realistic, and she didn't see things right now the way she saw them a week ago. "We.. I just..." It was beyond difficult to say this aloud, and she hoped Ferris didn't think her cruel for it, but she continued, "If-- If anything happens... I just want to know we didn't sit back and let it happen," she muttered, her gaze leaving his to look down at their hands absentmindedly. |
A smile crossed the boy's face as Vianna took a hold of his hand, telling him that they'd come up with something and everything would be alright. Though these were simple words that were hard to believe, a small warmth filled Ferris as he heard Vianna say them to him. As if just her saying it meant that it was more likely to happen. But his smile slowly faded as she started stuttering, trying to find her words, until she finally told him that if anything were to happen, that she wanted to know that they didn't just sit back and let it happen. He was about to agree with her when a more pressing matter reached his mind, "Why do you look so guilty when you tell me that?" he asked of her a little more softly, noting the expression on her face. Maybe he was wrong, but she looked almost...guilty for saying it to him, and he couldn't figure out why. |
Vianna looked back up at him as Ferris asked her why she looked so guilty when she said something like that. The girl blinked, not having expected this response at all. And now that she heard it, she wasn't sure what the answer was. "Well--well I just... I just... because, Professor... I'm, in a way, sort of... considering the possibility... that... perhaps..." The girl trailed off for a brief moment, this was certainly not the type of thing she had ever expected to explain. That she thought there was a chance something terrible could happen to Ned, death even? It was something she would have never considered a week ago, but now... now things were different and she couldn't help feeling rather guilty for thinking that something terrible could happen to a friend. "I just-- I think something could happen to Ned," she finally let out with a sigh. "And... I guess it just kind of makes me feel bad that I could even consider something bad happening to him, but..." Her forehead creased slightly. How was she supposed to continue thinking only good things would happen when with each passing day, things only got worse? |
Ferris listened with furrowed brows as the girl beside him stuttered out a reply, searching for her words at first before she finally explained that she felt bad for considering that something bad could happen to Ned at this point. He looked at her blankly for a moment, as though analyzing her before he released her hand and that arm slipped around her waist. In the next moment, he had placed a very warm, loving kiss to her cheek that lasted a little longer than his normal kisses on the cheek would last. "Everyone's considering that, Vi," he told her softly, "Everyone right now is thinking about what could happen to Ned. And you don't need to feel guilty for thinking that, thinking that he might be...hurt." He paused for a moment before continuing, "That's our situation right now." |
Vianna sighed softly. Had it been any other day, the boy's gestures would have lit up her face and brought a large smile to her face. But not today, not at this moment. Their situation was too dark, too gloomy. The girl nodded her head slightly as Ferris spoke, and though he was just stating their rather sad but true situation, she actually felt somewhat comforted by it. It made her realize she wasn't the only one with these thoughts and troubles in her mind. |
Ferris kept her snug to his side, as though keeping her wrapped in his lanky arm would keep her from feeling any worse, as he really wasn't liking the fact that Vianna was so upset. Of course she was, who wasn't at the moment? But still...He didn't like it. And when it came to times like these, where Vianna couldn't find it in herself to be the optimist she usually was, Ferris stepped in for her without even meaning to. He was just trying to make her feel better as he spoke, "We're going to find Ned. We're going to get his parents back. And we're all going to get out of this fine. Then, it's going to be you and me, and Fluffy too, and we'll have that normal teenage life we've been waiting for, I promise." He smiled slightly at her, placing a second kiss to her cheek, "You're my gem. Don't forget that." |
Vianna's eyes were staring absentmindedly at the floor before she ripped her gaze away and turned it to the boy beside her as he spoke. She listened quietly as he promised her that they would rescue Ned, and his parents, and everything would go back to normal. She couldn't help but smile faintly as he mentioned Fluffy, rather amused by the importance he had been given as part of the group. The girl's smile widened as his lips met her cheek once again and he told her not to forget that she was his gem. The words brought a warmth to her once-cold body and a sparkle to her eyes. She watched Ferris for a brief moment, still smiling, before leaning over and placing a kiss on his lips. |
Ferris watched her for a moment as she watched him with a smile on his face, a little curious as to what she was thinking, when she suddenly placed her lips on his own. It took him a moment, but he returned her kiss, letting the warmth that always accompanied Vianna's kisses to spread through him quickly. It was a bit of a release, to kiss the girl, to forget for a moment about their troubles and focus solely on the two of them. Vianna was everything to him, and the fact that he was able to bring her back to herself enough to receive a kiss, made him extraordinarily happy. OOC: I'm off Deee! Byyyyeeeee! :bye: :glomp: |
Vianna let the kiss last a couple of moments before pulling back slowly, the smile returning to her lips. But she remained silent, simply examining Ferris's face for a moment, admiring how lucky she was to have him as a boyfriend, even if he had the bad habit of thinking it was the other way around. "I love you," she finally said after a few moments of silence, the smile on her lips brighter than ever. She, herself, felt quite amazed that with only a few words and a couple of minutes, the boy beside her was able to turn her gloom into pure joy and gratefulness. ooc: Byeeeee, Rutherssss!!! :bye::glomp: |
Ferris smiled warmly at Vianna as they broke apart, his dimples in full view as he let his brown eyes roam over her features as she seemed to do the same to him. He was brought of his thoughts as she told him that she loved him suddenly, and his smile seemed to widen into a grin, "I love you too, Vi," he said before leaning in to press a warm kiss to her right cheek. He brought up one of his hands to tuck a stray piece of her long brown hair behind her ear and away from the left cheek that it had covered moments before. He then proceeded to press yet another kiss, this time to her left cheek before pulling back with a smile. "Don't you dare feel guilty again, alright? Or I'll have to punish you with more kisses." |
Vianna smiled as Ferris responded before awarding her with another kiss, this time on the right cheek. The girl beamed sheepishly and chuckled softly as she received another one, this time on her left cheek. She turned to Ferris with slightly raised eyebrows as the boy told her not to dare feel guilty again, and she laughed lightly as he told her he'd punish her with more kisses. "Professor, you're encouraging me to feel guilty!" she told him with a laugh. |
Ferris's eyebrows rose as Vianna told him that he was encouraging her to feel guilty when he explained that she would be tortured with more of his kisses if she continued to feel bad. He let out a light laugh at this, amused by her comment, "Am I?" he asked before pulling her back towards his chest. "Alright, then, stop feeling guilty or there will be no more kisses from Ferris!" he told Vianna with a warm smile, looking over at her with amusement in his brown eyes. Though, it soon faded slightly, as he realized something. "See...no, no that doesn't work for me," he said with a fake grimace, putting on a face of indecision, as if they were talking about a real wager. "You know I'll be kissing you either way..." |
Vianna giggled as Ferris changed his mind on what the consequences would be, telling her that there would be no more kisses if she continued feeling guilty. But she then laughed as he continued, now turning indecisive on whether that was really a good consequence or not, since he'd be kissing her either way. "You're funny, Professor," said the girl, amusement sparkling in her blue eyes. "How about we bet on marshmallows?" she suggested, her eyebrows raising slightly. "Every time I feel guilty, I'll owe you two marshmallows. Now, that would be horrible, you know how I feel about my marshmallows!" she said the last bit with a bit of sarcasm, as it was true she did love marshmallows but her love for the snacks didn't compare to Ferris's. |
Ferris looked back to her with a small smile as she told him he was funny, before going on to suggest that they bet marshmallows instead of kisses. He raised his eyebrows slightly at this, giving a small grin, "Alright, we'll bet on marshmallows," he agreed, liking these terms. "And you better not feel guilty, or I'll be eating all of them. And then your Professor's going to gain a few pounds...." he let out a light laugh, "You'll have a fat Ferris on your hands, and then you'll be sorry." He grinned at her with amusement in his brown eyes. |
Vianna's eyes widened slightly and there was an amused grin on her face as Ferris warned her not to feel guilty or he'd eat all of her marshmallows, leaving her with a 'fat Ferris' in her hands. "Oh really?" she said before laughing at the idea of Ferris overweight. It was difficult to imagine it. The girl then shook her head slightly. "I can't picture you being fat, though I must admit it'd be pretty funny," she said, still laughing lightly to herself. |
Ferris's jaw dropped in mock offense as Vianna told him that it was hard to picture him fat, though she was sure it would be funny. "Are you telling me that you would find it amusing if I became obese?" he asked her with amusement behind his eyes. This probably wouldn't happen, as Ferris was naturally skinny and tall, and his body never seemed to want to gain any extra fat. No matter how much he ate (and that was a lot). |
Ferris's words and mock offense only seemed to make Vianna laugh even more, and it took the girl a moment to calm and catch her breath again. "Well... yes, it would!" she replied to him, the amused grin still on her face and her eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief; she had always enjoyed teasing her boyfriend. "And besides, I think it would make you a more comfortable pillow to lay on, too," she added with a nod of her head. |
Ferris's jaw dropped even further as she told him once more, that it would be funny to see him chubby. But it was hard to keep the smile off his face as Vianna kept laughing, forcing him to let out a small set of chuckles as well. He listened as she told him that it would make him a more comfortable pillow to lay on as well, and his eyes widened in mock shock. "Oh no," he said, shaking his head with a small smile tweaking at his lips. He gently shoved her back onto the bed and started tickling at her sides, "I'm a perfectly comfortable pillow as I am!" he told her with a smile as he poked at her gently. |
Vianna watched shock take over Ferris's features with pure amusement in her eyes and mischief in her smile. She just simply couldn't get enough of teasing the boy, it never ceased to amuse her and she liked it that he didn't take her jokes seriously. But before she could enjoy the effect of her teasing on him too much, the boy had shoved her back onto the bed and had proceeded to attack her with tickles. Vianna giggled, but she fought back this time, trying to push the boy's hands away though the incessant giggling made her feel rather weak. But she had already laughed too much even before the tickling, and she felt that if she laughed more she might just go numb. "Professoorrrr!" she whined between giggles. "You're a perfect pillow, I promise, but I can't breathe!" |
Ferris watched her with loving eyes as she giggled from his tickles, as she always did, but his hands quickly stopped incessantly poking at her sides as she told him he was a perfect pillow, but she couldn't breathe. He definitely didn't want that, and he quickly stopped, his hands resting on the bed on either side of her waist instead. He smiled guiltily at her, "Sorry Vi," he told her a small chuckle, not wanting to accidentally hurt the girl with his tickling. His face turned a bit more serious, though a smile was still on it, as he looked down at the girl from his stance leaning above her, "So...Am I really the perfect pillow or were you just saying that to stop me from tickling you?" he asked her. |
Vianna was still giggling slightly after Ferris's hands left her sides and it took her a moment to fully calm and catch her breath. Her throat felt somewhat sore, though, and her cheeks had grown numb from all the smiling. But even so, she just couldn't stop smiling. Not only was it normal for Vianna to be smiling most of the time, but she was in the company of her favourite person in the world, it was impossible not to beam up at that face she had grown to love so much in only a week. She listened as the boy asked her if she really thought he was the perfect pillow or if she had just been saying it to escape the tickling. Vianna considered her options for a brief second before replying, "Oh, I meant it, I was being completely honest," she said with a nod, though the bit of enthusiasm in her voice made it clear the girl was lying. |
Ferris listened as she told him that she was being completely honest, but he was so aware of her tones and expressions, that he was easily able to tell that she was lying to him. He smiled almost mischeivously at the girl before setting his fingers on her sides, as though poised to start tickling her once more. But instead of throwing an attack to her ribcage, his arms slipped down and around her waist, falling himself onto the dusty bed and pulling her to his side. "Well too bad, you're stuck with me, and my metabolism won't put up with any excess fat," he told her with a grin. |
Vianna's eyes widened slightly as Ferris's fingers met her sides, and the girl's own arms immediately reacted on instinct, wrapping around her torso. But she eased as his arms wrapped around her waist and he fell onto the dusty bed, pulling her to his side. Vianna turned to the boy that was now beside her and listened as he spoke before chuckling softly but very briefly, as it had become something rather tiring and painful to do. "Well, that does make me happy," she contradicted him. "I like my professor skinny," she told him before leaning over and placing a kiss on his cheek. |
Ferris smiled warmly at the girl as she told him it did make her happy, as she liked her professor skinny. "Oh, you do, do you?" he repeated with a raised eyebrow, amusement on his face as she pressed a kiss to his cheek. This forced him to return to his more natural warm smile as he watched the girl for a moment, "That's good, 'cause you're not getting another one," he said with a light chuckle. |
Vianna chuckled softly for another very short brief second before her brows furrowed and her expression turned disapproving. "Professor, don't make me laugh!" she told him, as if this was a horrible crime he was doing to her. "I don't think I can laugh for at least another two hours," she muttered absentmindedly, turning so that she was now laying on her back and staring up at the ceiling. Her brows furrowed even further at the sight - even the ceiling was cracked and looked like it might collapse on them any minute. |
