Vianna beamed as Ferris agreed to her suggestion and looked down at her squirrel distractedly, admiring the way it looked around at its new environment curiously. She remained like this for a while before almost bumping into another person passing by, causing her to snap back to reality. She now turned her attention to the scenery, wondering vaguely just how far off they were from the outskirts of the small town, though it probably wasn't too far.

ooc: Gotta go for like... forty minutes. See you!

emmafan123 09-29-2009 10:56 PM

Ferris couldn't hold in the small chuckle that erupted from him moments after Vianna nearly ran into a person passing them, amused by her lack of attentiveness. He smiled guiltily down at her, sure she wouldn't appreciate his reaction, but his brown eyes were shining with amusement. "You okay there Vi?" he said, a slight teasing edge to his voice. He continued walking with her, making a note to watch out for innocent bystanders in danger of his girlfriend.

OOC: Ok! Bye! :)

Winter Dreams 09-29-2009 11:02 PM

Kayla nodded. "Yeah, that's the best way, I suppose." She said, keeping the frown off of her face, but there was still a hint of that expression still there. She was thinking about her father, if anything bad happened. He'd be even more defenseless than anyone else, being only muggle. "Well, I suppose I should get something to write with, then, no?" She asked, seeming to clear her face of being upset in a moment, right as the waiter appeared with the food she'd got for Jamie. Kayla nodded to the waiter with a friendly smile, not that she felt it, and he left.

"We're gonna get back, sometime you know." Jamie said to Jack quietly. Not because he was shy, not because he had any doubt about what he was saying, he could just sense Jack didn't want him to talk. But he was just rather optimistic about this, because he just was, and he could see how Jack didn't feel happy. Maybe even Jamie, with his friendly smile and usually comforting words wouldn't be any good.

Gryffindoll 09-29-2009 11:23 PM

Vianna looked up as Ferris addressed her, asking if she was okay. She blinked, confused, before replying, "Ah? Yeah, of course, why wouldn't I be?" She furrowed her brows slightly, not remembering having hurt herself or anything during the time they had been walking. Clearly, she hadn't caught the tease in his tone.

Vince frowned slightly as he watched Kayla speak, her expression calm and relaxed. He wasn't able to read the worry behind her mask and wondered vaguely if the girl could really be that cold-hearted. "You're not... worried, or anything?" he asked, his eyes widened slightly with disbelief. But then the waiter arrived, dropping off the food they had ordered before walking off. "Hey, wait!" Vince turned to Kayla. "Call him back, we have to get the check."

Winter Dreams 09-29-2009 11:38 PM

"Well, yeah." Kayla said, mainly because she didn't want to seem harsh. She was still fretting about it, but she was trying to not show it, and apparently she was. "Oh, I forgot." She said when Vince mentioned the check, and she waved the waiter over again. "Erm," she said for a second or two, but remembered vaguely when Ferris asked for the check, and she did that, maybe missing a word, though. The waiter understood, though, but noticed that Kayla's French wasn't very good. He told the price, though she only understood the amount of money he said, and that was it. She looked at Vince, "you have money?"

emmafan123 09-29-2009 11:55 PM

Ferris shook his head, an amused smile still prominent on his face as they walked through the center of the town, starting to make their way to the outskirts. "I'm just teasing you, Vi," he explained with another soft chuckle, his dimples in full view as he smiled warmly at her. "You're just kind of funny when you zone out and nearly run into people."

Gryffindoll 09-30-2009 12:07 AM

"No, Kay, I asked you to bring me to this restaurant and expect you to pay for my meal as well," Vince replied, his expression quite serious as he addressed the girl. He paused for a moment before revealing an amused smile. "I can be sarcastic too, see?" he said, amusement in his eyes before he began searching his pockets for his wallet. He handed the waiter the money and stood. "Let's get out of here."

Vianna gave Ferris a sheepish smile and looked away at the streets as the boy confessed he was just teasing her and found it amusing when she zoned out and bumped into people. "I'm glad my lack of gracefulness is amusing to you!" she said with a mock accusing tone.

emmafan123 09-30-2009 12:15 AM

Ferris let a teasing grin as she mentioned how she was glad he seemed to be so amused by her lack of gracefulness. "It does amuse me, actually," he said. It was chilly, he could feel it through the argyle sweater he was wearing and soon after this realization, his lanky arm gently slipped around her waist. They moved closer and closer to the outskirts of town now, the amounts of people starting to die down and he gently pulled Vianna into his side, keeping her warm.

Gryffindoll 09-30-2009 12:20 AM

Vianna's jaw dropped and she gave Ferris a look as the boy so very casually confirmed that he did, indeed, find her distracted moments amusing. But she said nothing, returning her gaze to the upcoming view of tall grass and countryside. It reminded her an awful lot of Ferris's hometown. The young girl gave an amused chuckle as Ferris then pulled her closer. "How'd you know I was cold? I haven't shown it... have I?"

emmafan123 09-30-2009 12:29 AM

Ferris turned his eyes back to the girl as she asked how he knew she was cold, asking if she had shown it at all. He shook his head slightly, letting a rather sheepish smile come onto his face, "No, no you didn't show anything," he assured her, his eyes wandering to their feet as they walked. "I could feel the chill through my sweater. And when I looked over at poor little Vi, I assumed that you would be cold." He turned his eyes back to her with an amused smile, "I've decided to share the warmth of my argyle with you. You should feel honoured."

Gryffindoll 09-30-2009 12:35 AM

Vianna laughed lightly as Ferris explained how he was able to tell she was feeling cold before adding that he had decided to share the warmth of his sweater with her and she should feel honoured. The young girl rose her eyebrows slightly at him. "Ooh, do I feel important now," she said playfully before laughing it off. "Thanks, though."

Winter Dreams 09-30-2009 12:37 AM

Kayla laughed at Vince, after he revealed that he too could be sarcastic. Her face was amused as she looked at him. She stood up and nodded. "Yeah, lets." she agreed.

emmafan123 09-30-2009 12:42 AM

"Good," Ferris said with an approving nod as she told him she did feel important. He smiled down at her, leaning over to kiss her forehead as she thanked him, "No need to thank me, it's my job. My beloved job." They were in the outskirts of town now, walking along small streets with few people in them. He looked up to the sky in hopes of seeing the constellations he liked so much, and with a smile noted the few stars peeking out. It wasn't as many as back home, but it was better than nothing. "There we go."

Gryffindoll 09-30-2009 01:00 AM

Vince took the food the waiter had left them and made his way out of the restaurant and out to the chilly streets. "Alright, so since you're a pro at speaking French now, tell me if you find somewhere we can get parchment at," said Vince, already assuming Kayla to be a master at this foreign language just because she had been able to get her messages across at the restaurant.

Vianna smiled warmly up at Ferris as he mentioned it was his job to keep her warm before he looked away and up to the skies. The young girl watched him curiously and followed his line of sight, her eyebrows raising slightly. She grinned as Ferris spoke once again. "Yay! Are you going to tell me more stories about new constellations, Professor?" she asked, returning her gaze to the boy excitedly.

emmafan123 09-30-2009 01:05 AM

Ferris gave a sympathetic half smile to her as she asked if he could tell her more stories about the constellations. "I'm afraid not, Vi," he said with a small sigh, his eyes returning to her as they walked. "There's not a full constellation that I can see tonight," he admitted. He tilted his head up to look once more at the skies only to receive a drop of water on his forehead. Soon after, many more droplets fell onto them in rapid speed.

OOC: Off for about thirty minutes or so...

Gryffindoll 09-30-2009 01:16 AM

Vianna pouted as Ferris shared that he wouldn't be able to tell her any stories about constellations this time, as there seemed not to be any full ones in sight. The young girl was just about to speak, but was left with her mouth open as drops of water began to fall on them. Vianna remained frozen for a moment, it was just beginning to dawn on her what was happening. And then she reacted. "It's raining!" she stated the obvious, a grin spreading across her face, as if this was the most amusing thing of life. The young girl tried her best to keep her little squirrel covered as he seemed not to enjoy the rain and looked up at Ferris. "C'mon, let's find a tree or something."

ooc: Aw alright, Ruthers!

emmafan123 09-30-2009 01:42 AM

Ferris let out a soft chuckle as Vianna stated the obvious, watching a grin light up her face before she mentioned finding a tree or something. "A tree?" he repeated, his eyebrows raising slightly. "Aren't you going to get cold?" he said with a light laugh, but soon remembered he could do the spell he had used earlier in the day. "Alright, let's go, quickly now," he said, walking rather hurriedly; he had never been the type to hang out standing in the rain. Some people seemed to enjoy it, and he liked the rain just fine, but standing in it on a chilly night wasn't what he would've called a good time.

Gryffindoll 09-30-2009 01:49 AM

Vianna turned to Ferris as he asked if she would get cold, but before she had a chance to reply, the boy agreed to her idea of finding a tree and was now walking off at a hurried speed. Vianna almost had to run to catch up, but eventually came to a halt under a large tree. Once there, she let Fluffy down, as the squirrel had been trying to slither its way out of her hands.

emmafan123 09-30-2009 01:56 AM

Ferris took out his wand, silently doing a spell that created a campfire for the two of them. Just as the one before, it couldn't be extinguished by any rain that hit it and was the perfect size for the two of them. He gave her a brief smile before sitting down underneath the tree. He rolled up his damp sleeves, his curly hair covered in small droplets of water and his eyes turning to her with a small smile. He patted the spot next to him gently, offering the seat to her as though it wasn't reserved for her as it always was.

Gryffindoll 09-30-2009 02:03 AM

Vianna watched Fluffy as he began climbing the tree before turning to Ferris and watching as the boy created a campfire for them before sitting down and offering her the spot next to him. Vianna smiled faintly and proceeded to sit down next to the boy, watching the fire absentmindedly. But now that she was completely still, she was able to feel the chilly wind more strongly, and especially now that she was soaking wet. With her teeth beginning to chatter, the young girl slid forward and closer to the fire before extending her hands out to it in an attempt to warm herself. "Okay, maybe the rain isn't so good..." she said with a weak chuckle.

emmafan123 09-30-2009 02:10 AM

Ferris watched as her teeth started to chatter and his brow furrowed slightly, seeing her scoot towards the fire and mention how the rain wasn't as good she thought it was. He was afraid he was starting to feel the chill also, but not as much due to his slightly more thermal argyle sweater. He thought for a moment, thinking over all the spells he had learned in his free time over the past few years when one hit him. He took Vianna into his arms, gently pulling her back next to him and holding her close to him in order to keep her warm. He then took out his wand once more, muttering a spell to himself. Suddenly, a small orb of fire flew slowly over to his wand from the campfire and into his hand. He smiled slightly, feeling all the warmth of a fire but no burn. This was a spell that was more like a personal furnace, keeping the owner of it warm and they could keep it anywhere. Their jacket or their hand, and nothing would catch on fire. He handed it to the girl in his arms still with a slight sheepish smile. Ferris was a bit of a spell nerd too. He used to spend a lot of time in the library at Hogwarts, learning things a little beyond him in years.

Gryffindoll 09-30-2009 02:21 AM

Vianna's eyes widened slightly as she was suddenly brought back to her original spot. She turned to Ferris with puzzled eyes. "Wha'..." But before she could really form a proper question, the boy was muttering something she did not comprehend, and then a small orb of fire came to view. Vianna's eyes widened further at the sight of it, her puzzled expression turning into one of surprise and amazement. She beamed as Ferris handed her the orb, which she took rather hesitantly into her hands, fearing that she might get burned. But she felt more confident as the orb warmed her hands without burning them. "That's amazing, Professor!" she said, grinning at the fire in her hands. "How'd you learn that?!"

emmafan123 09-30-2009 02:25 AM

Ferris gently snuck his arms around her waist, holding her a little more snugly as he watched the amazement on her face with amusement in his eyes. He was glad he could impress her like this, though he was rather embarrass as she asked how he had learned that trick. "Uh.." he thought for a moment, letting out a breath of air as his eyes wandered to the fire still in front of them. "Like...half a month spent in the library everyday...learning it." He gave a sheepish smile as his eyes returned to her.

OOC: I'm gone for an hour and a half or so! :)

Gryffindoll 09-30-2009 02:31 AM

Vianna curled up slightly as Ferris held her close to him, enjoying the warmth he emitted, even if he had also been soaked under the rain. She pulled her gaze away from the fiery orb in her hands and up to Ferris as he explained how he had come to learn the spell. The young girl smiled in amusement. "That's so typical you, Professor," she said with a light chuckle, her eyes returning to the fire in her hands, still fascinated. "It's cute, though. I could just imagine you!"

ooc: Alrighty! ^_^

emmafan123 09-30-2009 03:22 AM

Ferris smiled warmly down at her as she told him spending days in the library learning a new spell was so typically him. He supposed it was, it was what he liked to do in a lot of his free time. Well, besides reading and sketching. His smile seemed to grow bigger as she told him it was cute, imagining him in the library. "I've always liked learning new things. And, when I realized I didn't have to wait on teachers to show me new spells, I spent even more time in the library than I did before," he explained with a soft chuckle. He thought for a moment, watching Vianna for a moment before saying, "I wish I knew you back then. I would have dragged you to the library ever day with me."
