It was the middle of the year, in the newly opened and magical international school, and a group of picked students were offered the chance - the chance of a lifetime, mind I add - to go to Egypt to study for a semester. The students agree to the "study abroad" and were immediately packed and whisked away to Egypt.

They arrived in the newly renovated town - a town that was built on the ancient city of Hamunpatra, or, as you may know it, the city of the Dead. The students are psyched to get started exploring the tombs, and they instantly get to work.

However, during a sandstorm, a tomb was uncovered. The Tomb of Anubis. People thought Anubis was a god, but in fact, they didn’t know he actually walked on the earth, once, many thousands of years before.

The group of students eagerly enter the tomb, excited that they found what they thought was a tomb that never existed, they set to work, exploring the many rooms of the maze of the tomb.

They soon find, however, a book of hieroglyphics, which fortunately, one of the students could translate. What did the student translate? Why, "The Book of the Dead".

The students go back to the inn they were staying at, talking about what happened that day, vowing they wouldn’t tell anyone what they found unless they were certain it was the God’s tomb. They all agreed happily, then continued their conversation.

But for the next few days, odd things were happening. The students find out that they can’t use magic anymore, and horrible things kept happening to the locals. In a desperate attempt to find out what was happening, one of the students did some research, and came up with a theory. The Ten Plagues of Egypt were happening all over again, and there was another ancient book that was connected with "The Book of the Dead" called, "The Book of the Living," They find out that the Book of the Dead gives the dead life, while the Book of the Living takes life away.

Now, the students must figure how to stop the Ten Plagues and the killings, and figure out how to get their hands on the Book of the Living, to try and save all of Egypt.

Jaeke raised an eyebrow at Kamilah. "Kami, chill out," he said, shaking his head. "Roslyn, yes. PA. Fine, fine whatever," he said briskly, before pointing to the a small cottage just outside the gate. "Since we have so many parties before, she moved closer to us. Although.. Kamilah, shall we stop at your house first?"

He stopped, then looked down at Teresa. "You don't know how to lie?" He shook his head, then shot out, "liar." He slinked an arm around her shoulders, then stuck his face close to hers. "Okay. Try it. Go on, lie to me. Say anything."

Teresa blinked a couple of times as she looked at Jaeke. 'Anything? I mean...' She looked down trying to think of something but nothing came to her mind. 'I can't remember anything' She said and bit her lip for a second. Perhaps if anyone tried something on her...?

Jaeke rolled his eyes as he sighed. "Honestly, you have no creativity," he told Teresa, with a serious face. "You can't remember anything? Memory lapse?" Jaeke asked, shaking his head. In a moment, he suddenly got an idea, his eyes opening wide.

He gave a grin, before leaning closer to Teresa, going past her ear and whispering, "You know what I think is sexy? How innocent you are. I have to change that, huh?" He leaned foward more, brushing his lips against her's.

He suddenly pulled back, before he could kiss her for real, then grinned truimphantly. "So how'd you feel. Lie to me, Teresa. Tell me it was bad, since you know.. it was good," he finished, in a cocky manner.

Teresa held both her hands so she wouldn't slap him again, usually her instant reaction without thinking was hiting whoever that was nearer, in this case Jaeke. 'You disgust me' She said not knowing if what she was saying was a lie or the truth. 'And it was indeed bad 'cause you had no intention in doing that, did you?' She said trying to control her anger. If he thought she was going to let be controlled like a puppet he was wrong, wrong, wrong! Teresa had never been controlled and this was not going to be the first time! In that moment, she disgusted herself more than him thanks to her stupid feelings. Why did she always had to fall for the wrong guy? She wished she had her best friend there, next to her, who she had actually dated with quite a few times.

Jaeke grinned wider as Teresa insulted him more and more. "I disgust you?" he asked, snorting. "Right, Teresa. That was a nice lie. Great touch."

He stopped, then paused, before answering her next question. "Of course I had an intention of doing that," he started smoothly, shrugging his shoulders. "What makes you think I didn't?" He started walking towards the gate to go visit the seamstress, then, while he was going past Teresa, he made a kissy-face, then whispered, "If you want a real kiss from me, you'll have to try harder, love. You'll have to really make me want you."

He gave a laugh, as he bounded towards the gate, disappearing outside of it.

Teresa had to hold her hands more so she wouldn't start shouting, kicking and crying all at once. She turned her back to him and everyone else and took a few steps away. For the first time in her life she knew what it was like to have her lower lip bleeding thanks to the strenght she used when she bit it. She had her eyes closed really tight and it seemed like her throat had something inside that didn't let her speak. All she wanted was to act a bit cold-hearted so he could know what she was feeling. She opened her eyes and smiled to herself as an idea came to her mind. She turned around back to them again, now with a grin on her lips as she prepared to say one of the most stupid things she had ever said, even more stupid than saying that the 'chocolate cookie monster was after her friend'. 'Don't you think it's the other way around, Jaeke?' She asked. 'Shouldn't it be you the one trying harder? 'Cause maybe I was acting like you wanted' she lied, this time quite perfectly.

Jaeke stopped laughing instantly, then blinked. He stared at Teresa, then dropped his mouth open slightly. He forced out another laugh, then asked, a bit weakly, "You're serious, aren't you?" She can't be playing at my game! It's not fair! She can't be serious.. Jaeke thought to himself, before shaking his head. "Cut it out, Teresa. I know you like me. Just admit and it'll be over," Jaeke suddenly blurted out, unable to contain it longer. Hey, what could he say? He could never hold secrets people told him in.

'What makes you believe in such sillyness?' Teresa grinned. 'I told you I could be acting out. How would you know? After all I was part of a theatre group' She said feeling the triumph on her veins. Now she was finally seeing the confused side of Jaeke, wasn't she? She had to admit it felt quite good to know she was the one who started with the confusion actually.

Jaeke dropped his mouth open even further, then shook his head. "Liar," he shot out, staring at her. "How come you suddenly decided to tell me this now? You just said you couldn't lie. Isn't acting the same as lying?" He cocked his head to the side, then added, with a smirk, "Or is it like saying "borrowing" instead of "stealing"?"

He folded his arms across his chest, then leaned forward again. "Okay, Teresa. If you are telling the truth, then kiss me. Do it, Teresa. It's the only way."

Teresa shook her head a little. 'Go to an art school, Mr or maybe you should grab a dictionary and see what every word means' She grinned. When he mentioned kissing she raised her eyebrows and crossed her arms then shaking her head a little so she wouldn't let her mask go away. Never show when you make mistakes in a play. Pretend it was all in the play and always make up new things as the story keeps up and you can't remember what you were ought to do she remember her teacher saying. She knew she couldn't kiss him though, it was against what she believed in, but if she standed there he'd understand her feelings at once and she'd lose the battle. Actually, she'd lose it either way. 'No, Jaeke. I am not a puppet' She said at last determined.

Jaeke stared at her, then narrowed his eyes. "Weird. You're the first girl that ever refused that," he told her, an odd look on his face. He shrugged, then withdrew, before walking towards the house again. "Your loss, Teresa!" He called over his shoulder, glancing back and making a cross-eyed face with his tongue stuck out.

He stopped when he got to the gate, then waited for the others to catch up.

'That's because I'm different from the others' Teresa said as she followed him. If anyone there knew her really well, they'd see the sadness covering her eyes. Fortunally they had just met eachother the night/day before so probably it was still hard to tell what she was exactly like. She looked at Sam, Lori and Roslyn and waited for them to come. She couldn't be alone with him in a moment like that. She knew that once she found herself completly alone she'd have a brake down.

Jaeke turned, then raised an eyebrow. "Different?" He repeated, then shook his head. "Yeah, right. What makes you so different from the others?" He scoffed, waiting for her answer.

He stared down the road, then back at Teresa, adding, "I guess.. you could be different. No one refused to kiss me before. They're glad to do it," Jaeke finished, almost bragging. Then he narrowed his eyes suspiciously at her. "But you. Why won't you kiss me?"

'Because I think twice before doing things I might regret for the rest of my life' Teresa answered quite coldly. She looked at Sam again almost begging her to hurry up and join them before she slapped Jaeke or did something worst than that, like actually kissing him.

ooc: Awright...that's IT. You guys are going too far, too fast...and it's Tess and Evs' posts filling practically a whole page again.

Lori looked from Jaeke to Teresa, then looked worriedly at Sam. First, Tes was all angry, and now it was Jaeke's turn to be frustrated. Why did I even bother coming? she though to herself. She knew it was a bad idea from the very time she got the invitation, but what could she say? She had always had this knack for adventure.

She almost shot her hand in the air and praised Teresa for her cunning, but simply smiled. Now this was good to watch. Man and woman debate. She then saw Teresa's face, and nudged Sam. She walked over to Tess and beckoned her over. "C'mon Tess, leave it," she said in her normal tone of voice. Then as she turned her away from Jaeke and walked away, she whispered with a smile, "Good one, Tess. I couldn't have said it better myself." And she gave her friend a hug.

Teresa let herself be dragged and hugged by Lori and found out that after all she should have stayed by Jaeke since she felt a couple of tears on her eyes again. Why couldn't I have another personality? Argh! she thought as she closed her eyes. 'Thanks' She said with a little smile letting her friend go. It seemed that the tears were gone, but she could be wrong.

Samantha hurried after the group as they walked. She noticed Teresa seemed entirely uncomfortable with this entire situation and returned Lori's worried look. After Lori had pulled Teresa into a hug, Samantha followed suit, whispering. "Don't let him get to you like that. You're strong."

Lori let Tess go and smiled. "What are friends for?" she said cheerfully, waving at Sam as she came. She gave one last glance at Jaeke before completely veering away from him. She then noticed a few tears in Teresa's eyes and asked, "What's wrong?"

She had indeed become attatched to the girls like sisters, and was very concerned in everything that affected them.

Kamilah glared at Sam. She felt ready to explode. All of a sudden, she wanted no part in any of this, it was too much. Why on earth did she think any of it would be any different?Why couldn't they just understand and accept that there are certain rules that she had to follow, had followed all her life. It was who she was, it all she was.
"I was only trying to help." she said through gritted teeth. She felt like everything was spinning out of control, they weren't just not listening to her, they were downright ignoring her. She fiddled with the chain around her neck and looked over at her house. What if she just left, she was sure no one would notice. But then she thought of her brother. If they didn't stop the plagues he would die. Besides, she was no quitter. She was going to see this through to the end. She looked up, grim determination in her eyes.
They had spent enough time pansying about, it was time they got a move on, and she was just the kick in the behind they needed. She stalked over to Teresa and Jaeke, suddenly furious at their idiotic arguing. Enough was enough, they needed to get moving. Ignoring Teresa she went straight for Jaeke.
"Mosca, do you intend on dying when the tenth plague hits because at the rate we're going, that's what's going to happen, and I for one am not going to stick around to find out." she took a breath. Her patience was at an end. "So if you don't mind, the rest of us are going to get moving. You can stay here and prance about with little miss 'I'm important too' all you want. We are going to try and figure out and then stop whatever it is that's going on." she took a deep breath. She had started, and there was no stopping her until she finished.
"Even if it means...even if it means going into the depths of that mansion, we'll do it, with or without you. There's more than just you involved Jaeke, its about time you copped on to that fact." she turned to walk away, but suddenly turned back, pointing her finger at him. "and don't you dare act all hurt and indignant, because I know who you really are, never forget that. You're not nearly as proud and secure as you'd like us all to think, it's about time you came down to earth and realised there are other lives at stake here, not just yours." Kamilah had no idea where this was coming from.
She could barely hear the words coming out of her own mouth. She hadn't noticed that she had substituted her usual 'I' with 'we', or the fact that she was for the first time talking about the others as equall with herself. She didn't even know why she had snapped at Jaeke, she wasn't sure if it had to do with her brother, the fact that she felt wrong footed being back here, or all the hurt she and her family had suffered, much of it at the hands of Jaeke's family. Maybe she still had feelings for Jaeke. She really wasn't sure. The only thing she was sure about was that she was fed up and angry with everything, and right now, Jaeke seemed to be to blame for all of it.
"Stop being and arrogant prat Jaeke, and start being yourself, the one I know and..." why were tears suddenly stinging her eyes? She blinked them away and turned suddenly on Teresa.
"To be honest, I'd stay away from him if I were you. He'll walk all over you, just like he does everyone else." but me, she thought silently. She had never let him rule her feelings, hadn't she?
She finally walked away from them, towards the hidden iron gate that led to her mansion. She looked back at the group, her usual cool demeanor once again restored.
"Well, aren't you coming?" she asked as if nothing had happened.

Seth shook his head at the arguements between Jaeke and the girls and between the girls themselves. He knew exactly what was happening, they all has crushes on Jaeke and thought they could 'change him' like so many girls thought they could. They'd need to be a bit braver if they wanted to stand a chance with him, Seth only became his friend cause he'd punched the guy in the face. He'd dread to think what they'd have to do to make him think they were worthy of his attention as more than a friend.

He shoved his hands into his pockets and trailed after Jaeke. Normally he was bothered by the fact that Jaeke had all the attention and he was so important but for some reason Seth liked being in the background on this trip. He didn't have to take the lead as he wasn't as smart as the others. All he had to do really was watch out for everyone. He was very glad that Jaeke had got someone to teach him how to use a sword and other weapons cause he doubted brute strength would beat these plagues.

'I know' Teresa said and smiled to Samantha. She then looked at Lori and shrugged. 'Dunno, really' She admitted. She turned around back to the others and heard Kamilah snapping at Jaeke. The guy could be a prat but maybe all of the girls were making everything worst, even herself. She followed Kamilah silently. One thing was true, they had to find out what was happening with the Ten Plagues wheter the others were going too or not.

Roslyn was stood on her own as Tess, Sam and Lori spoke quietly to each other. She knew that those three were very close, and she didn't seem to fit in with them. For most of this trip, she had spent it on her own, with her thoughts. Roslyn paid some attention when Kamilah ran off a whole speech about Jaeke and his feelings and his true self. She was totally confused with Jaeke and Kamilah, sometimes they would be at each others throats, then they were reminiscing over old times. Strange, She thought. She rolled her eyes and turned to Seth and caught up with him.

"Hey, ever feel like you don't belong?" She asked, looking at the girls, and then Jaeke and Kamilah.

Lori gave Tess a gentle squeeze on the shoulder. "Well, whatever it is, its gonna be alright," she said confidently. She then looked at Kamileh, who apparently thought this ground was a rostrum where she could recite her speech.

She sighed and followed her friends. What was this trip coming to? A disaster! First, Jaeke's and Kamilah's attitudes, next the crazy love triangles, and now, the Ten Plagues threatening to kill Jaeke! She rolled her eyes and folded her arms, and stole a glance at Seth. She wondered if he was a first born, but if he ever was, at least he wasn't Egyptian.

Jaeke narrowed his eyes, as he opened his mouth to snap something back at Teresa, but then Kamilah butted in. He narrowed his eyes as he listened to her, then suddenly got this dreamy look on his face. He didn't say anything - usually he would've insulted her - but in this case, she shut him up.

He nodded as he walked back up to her, then grinned. "Ready as ever, Mrs. dictator," he shot at her, then glanced back at everyone. "C'mon, love!" He called to Teresa, making a kissy face at her. "Hurry up so you can gimme a kiss!" He added, making kissing noises. Sometimes he could be really immature.

Teresa felt all the anger inside her coming to the surface. Once again, she held her hands together with all the strenght she could so she would get in pain and make that anger go away. She only hoped it worked. Act again a voice said in her mind. In those moments, it seemed like acting was really the only way even though she hated doing it. The thing was that she didn't know what to do in that moment even though slapping, kicking or doing something of that sort to Jaeke seemed to be a good and a bad option at the same time.
