"That would be awsome," she smiled. "I'm Becky, pureblood, was in Slytherin at Hogwarts. I've brought some muggle money, but I don't get it...at all," Becky admitted.

''I'm Tim Half Blood,Was in Gryffindor at Hogwarts.''He knew every inch of the Muggle World.''Well how much do you have to pay?''

"I think it's one...one poond? As you've probally learnt by now, I am a complete dunce in muggle stuff. Why don't the pictures move?" Becky asked, being stupid. She was smart in wizard stuff. Potions? Outstanding. Muggle studies? Troll.

''Well then it's that one there.''He said pointing at the coin.''It'snot stupid,pictures don't move because the don't have any magical charms on them.''He stopped.He put his hand on his hand.He spoke,''I'm prety sure thats right.''

"Ok, thanks," Becky smiled, sweetly, walking towards the counter, and buying the coffee.

''Thats fine,Lovely to meet you.''He said walking towards the door.He stopped,he wanted to ask something but he knew wha the answer would be.So he walked out of the shop.

"You too. Bye," Becky called out to him as he walked out of the shop. The an seemed to have a strange expression on his face. She shrugged to herself, not thinking about it anymore.

Imogine walked into the convinience store to buy some muggle magazines for her broom trip. She walked by the coffee machines on the way to the checkout.
"Need some help with that?" Imogine said, as she noticed a man who she thought she had seen at the ministry, well even if he wasn't he was struggeling with the coffee machine and needed Imogine's assistance. "Some of these muggle insterments can be pretty..." Imogine looked for the right word "irritating".

It was lunch break when Dean headed to the muggle convenience store. He was used to it, so there wasn't awkwardness showed by the MLE employee. The dashing man was in need for a cold drink with this blazing temperature, so he decided to get himself slurpee.

Already at the slurpee machine, filling up a large size cup, was Ethan Lennox. It had been about a week since... The Bones Incident. He shuddered as he remembered the last shake of Trystan's body, blood dripping from the corner of his mouth as he spoke to none other than Ezekiel and Bellissa.

Capping his cup, Ethan turned around to see a rather familiar face. "Dean? It's been a while. Did you hear? We lost Naomi..." he said, becoming a little downcast. It was hard to imagine: a life that never was, but could have been. He wondered what his daughter would have grown up to be. Snippy and clever like Zek? Calm but powerful like Bella? Something different and unexpected? He would never know.

The slurpee which had been filled in full in the cup spilled a little as Dean startled to hear the familiar voice. After what he had hear from Lights, this wasn't going to be a good encounter. None the less, Dean was a professional and remained calm both physically and mentally. "I heard," he answered coolly as he capped the cup before poking the top of the cup with a spoon-straw. "I- Uh- I'm sorry to hear that," he was. An innocent baby lost her life whilst still in the uterus.

Placing the cup on the counter, he took out his wallet and left a few pounds on the counter before turning to Ethan. "How are you coping with it?" enquired the dashing man mellowly. He won't bring that issue up with Ethan. At least not now. Especially not in this place.

Ethan leaned against the counter, his chin in his palms. "It's tough. But we're pulling through, and at least Lights now only has herself to worry about," he said. The optimism seemed important. It was helping Ethan get over what he had done to know that Lights and his kids would be much safer now that that beast Trystan Bones no longer even existed.

Ethan stood back up and dropped. Few pounds of his own on the counter to pay for his own slurpee. He wasn't about to make Dean pay for him. "I've considered reapplying for MLE. I love being in control of things on a behind-the-scenes level in Maintenance, but I can't help feeling that I could better protect Lights if I were in MLE. I actually made an Unbreakble Vow with her that I'd always love and protect her, until our deaths. That was our wedding..." Ethan's voice trailed off as he looked off at nothing in particular and smiled, remembering the day vividly.

That's right. Keep on being positive. Once must not dwell in the past to move forward, Ethan. "Looking on the bright side, she can now get back in the field job, right?" a faint smile visible on the the stubbled face as Dean could not fully smile after Lights told him everything that happened between them.

He felt his heart sank when Ethan mentioned that he would apply for a job in the MLE. "That's great!" he quickly made up a lie to cover up his doubts. Dean already had a draft of report on the other employee that he kept locked in his drawer protected with powerful curses he knew. His drawer was that important to him. Who knew how many secrets he had in there?

"Right. And I'm sure she's excited to get back out there, too," Ethan added. He would've bet ten galleons that Lights was just itching to get back into the field. As Dean replied, Ethan's lie detector went off. The lack of hesitation before responding, the uncertainty of Dean's voice, the lack of eye contact. "You're lying," he said casually, "It's alright if you don't want me in MLE, just say it. I can always tell when somebody is lying, though. Remember, I have a four year old son..."

"Well, I can't wait to see the usual Lights again," smiled the younger/older (how old was Ethan again?) man. Dean sipped his slurpy instead of scooping it out. "Why would I lie? To have more MLE employee means the larger the family, right?" because to him, the MLE was like his family. The calmness in his voice should convince Ethan. Hopefully.

To change the topic, "How's your kids doing? Did you tell them what happened to their sister?" Dean bet he didn't tell his children. They were still young. They shouldn't have to face such a cruel truth at this age.

Ethan nodded grimly. "I had to tell them, because what happens happens. We can't go back and change things in the past." Even if you kill someone... "Lights and I can't shield them forever," he added. He shifted a bit, picking up his slurpee and walking with Dean towards the exit of the store. Time to start heading back to the Ministry. "They're doing fine, though. They tried to run away, but we managed to convince them otherwise when Lights got blasted into the wall by Bella." Perhaps Ethan was letting on a bit too much at this point, but he glazed over it ignorantly.

Lights needed a cold drink, and since the iced coffees at the cafe were way more than she ever wanted to spend on a drink, she'd decided on a Muggle soft drink. She chose a Coke, and hurried to pay for it so she could catch up with Ethan and Dean. "Hey!" she greeted, smiling. She noticed Ethan was looking grim, and Dean worried. "What's the matter?" she asked in concern.

Dean continued to listen to Ethan about what happened. The couple needed someone to talk to and he was willing to listen and perhaps lend a hand if there was anything he can do. "I see," mumbled Dean as he sipped some more slurpee. But Ethan's following words was out of his expectations which made him spurted on the floor. "A four year old blasted Lights to the wall?! Merlin! What the...?!" he exclaimed, but lowered his voice on the "blasted" part. Would sound weird to muggles if they heard it.

"Afternoon, Lights," he smiled as he turned around to see the other man's wife. Dean sipped more slurpee before he began to startle. Brain freeze. After he felt a little comfortable again, the male MLE'er looked over at his colleague. "I had slurpee coming out of my nose," said Dean while wiping his nose with a piece of tissue paper. Man, that was painful!

Lights laughed. "Yes you did! You okay?" She passed him another tissue, just in case. She'd heard Dean's exclamation, and guessed at once what he and Ethan had been talking about. "Yes, but it was an accident. Bella took my wand, and you know what kids can do when they're angry, before they've learnt to control themselves." She'd had similar problems when she was little - she'd once made her bed fly because she didn't want to go to sleep. "Poor thing, she was really sorry afterwards. They both were." Lights sighed, remembering that night, the night she'd rather forget, for multiple reasons.
Having Dean and Ethan together made her nervous. She knew that Dean knew about Ethan killing Trystan, but her husband didn't know that her colleague knew. Would Dean try to arrest Ethan? It he did, Lights would ignore any surrounding Muggles and cast a Full Body-Bind on him. She was that intent on keeping Ethan out of Azkaban.

Ethan couldn't help but chuckle when Dean's nostrils became slurpee spouts. He was quickly thereafter sobered to the moment, though, and decided to elaborate on the night. "Yeah, Bella's a powerful one already. She apparently snagged Lights' wand before going to her room with Zek, and Lights got blasted when we stepped in to stop them from running away. We're lucky Bella decided to take the front door..."

Once he had finished, though, a silent worry came over him. He hadn't explained why they wanted to run away...

Dean accepted the tissue and wiped his nose and his teary eyes. He wasn't crying, of course. It was really painful! "Kids... They're the most honest creatures," chuckled the man from DMLE, still wiping his nose. "Have you erased that memory?" he looked at the couple, hoping that they had. It was probably the best for the two children. Bella sounded that she had control over her power. That was very rare. "I'm sure she's going to be a very good withc," smiled Dean merrily.

Ethan shook his head at Dean's question. No, of course they hadn't erased the memory. That would be rude. Plus, Ethan wasn't very good at memory charms as it were, so he didn't want to accidentally erase too much. There were some memories that they needed to keep.

He had to smile when Dean brought Belle back up again. "Oh, yeah, she's going to be a good one once she can control her powers. She's only five right now," he said, leaning on the door frame. They really had to get back, didn't they? He glanced down at his watch. "We need to get back to work. We've got five minutes," he advised, opening the door and holding it for the other two.

Lights shook her head like Ethan. "Bella needs to learn from that," she replied. "If she didn't remember, she wouldn't understand that she needs to be careful. She's like my mum, I swear she's a reincarnation of her." Lights wouldn't be surprised; Seren Salamander had been back to haunt her a lot recently.
She smiled at Ethan when he suggested they go back to work. "Ah, paperwork," she mock sighed. "Beautiful thing, when it's done..." She stepped out of the store, an insane urge to transform rising in her, like it had been a lot recently. Maybe it was a side-effect of spending so much time in it on the day they took the Cult down. Maybe another was a headache, or it could be the paperwork to blame. Choices, choices ...

Dean finished off the remaining slurpee before tossing the cup into the nearest dustbin. Shump! Bingo! Nothing but net! When Ethan mentioned the time, the seemingly taller man checked his wrist watch. "You're right," he nodded in agreement that they should return to the Ministry immediately.

Then, Lights mentioned about paperworks. That reminded him of something. "And I've to investigate D'Isigny's wherebouts," he sighed heavily before walking away. "I'll see you guys later!" one hand was waving at the couple before Dean disappeared at the corner.

"See you later!" Lights waved as her colleague walked away, but as soon as he was gone, she turned to Ethan. "Stay away from Dean," she advised. "He knows what happened with Dad. I told him because I didn't know what to do about it. Dean's committed to his work, he'll arrest you if he thinks it's the right thing to do. I'm working on a case for you if it comes to that - Dad was technically a threat to our lives, and you acted in defence, and he was a criminal, so we have a lot of factors on our side." She took Ethan's hand. "I won't let you go to Azkaban," she said quietly, so no Muggles could hear them. "You don't deserve it, and our kids don't deserve not having a dad." Plus I'd die from heartbreak, but I'm more worried about you.
