As you enter the room, you find that the room is bathed in a soft red light, as the Professor has draped sheets of red silk over the windows, so the sunlight is stained a soft red. It gives the office a warm glow, and when you look about, you realise that cupboards seem to circle the rooms walls.

Towards one end of the office, the cupboards are all closed, and these are filled with spare cages. Pushed up against them, are bean bags of every colour for you to sit on, and a coffee table in the middle of them, with a plate of cookies on for you to help yourself too if you want a chat with her.

The other end of the room, there is her desk, and the cupboards seem to be full of papers and strangely, feathers. On her desk, there is nothing much, but some rolls of parchment, a quill and ink, and two chairs either side. A picture is also on the desk, of what must be her twin sister, and her niece. Body-less Bob is also on her desk, snoozing at the moment, and you can't help but be a little thankful for that.

A pile of cages are placed up against the cupboards, and a closed door. Behind this you have no doubt this is where the Professor keeps all her animals. Her room seems to be strangely clean, for a Care of Magical Creatures Professor, but as a snake curls up on her desk, and an owl lands on top of one of the bean bags, you're reminded of her position.

Professor Maline looks up at you as you come in with a warm smile, and gestures for you to join her on the bean bags.

A sudden tapping on one of the window-panes resounded throughout Ophelia’s elegant – In its own, quirky, special way – office. A large owl with topaz pink eyes squiggled in through the window. It was certainly a magnificent creature. Its sleek and obviously always carefully attended to feathers gleaming as it circled high above the many bean bags within.

Then, swooping down in one quick, swift movement, the owl landed right next to the Professor, herself. Spreading it glossy, pearly white wings that were tinted with a sandy gold, the kind of colour that reminded you immediately of desert sand and the Pyramids, it dropped a bright, royal blue envelope into Professor Maline’s hands.

The letter inside was written on fragrant, blue paper, too, in deep, fancy orange letters. It read:

I sincerely hope that you have not forgotten me. I wish we could meet again, but office work has over-burdened me right now. We had reports that some dangerous and unappealing magical beast was creating havoc somewhere in the Middle East, and I apparated there immediately with a whole team of co-workers, only to find out that it was, in fact, an enraged acromantula, whose routine had been disturbed by unsuspecting, lost muggle explorers.

It awes me how anyone at all could find such an amazing creature unappealing, but I guess there are all sorts of people in the Wizarding World. All the same, that one creature, at least, is under control now.

I know I am writing to you way too long after we last met, but I can not help my mind from wandering off to you over and over again. I would have written sooner, had I had time. But I hope you remember your promise to me – We have still to meet in Honeydukes, once I am a bit freer and things at the office have grown more peaceful.

P.S: I thought you might like the owl. I brought him with me from Egypt when I was tending to the whole acromantula business. Keep him, you’ll find it a lovely addition to your pet collection.

P.S 2: I nearly forgot, his name is Odyssey.

Odyssey, the sandy-gold owl, was now slowly circling Professor Maline, as if awaiting instructions from her, his huge wings still spread.

My mother was forced to draw the line though when we ended up with around three hundred rats in the house. She always used to lament that i was not more like my twin, Rosalie. She would bring back the boys, and i would bring back an injured bowtruckle." She grinned, returning the wink as Jasmines hair became red.

She smiled, extremely pleased that Fallon had gone into such good care. She laughed as Jasmine discovered her bright red hair and shook it amused as Perry squealed with delight upon her shoulders, Lola at her feet and a kitten being weened in her arms. A couple of butterflied landed on her, and Ophelia began to wonder if she was becoming a walking Zoo.

A fresh breeze fluttered into the soft red office and Ophelia beamed to see the most beautiful owl she'd seen in a while circle her before dropping a letter in her lap. She laughed delightedly, and placed the kitten down so she could take out her wand and summon the beautiful bird something to eat and drink. She gestrued to the two dishes fondly, and the owl helped himself greedily as Professor Maline opened up the letter and squealed delightedly.

Rushing to get a piece of parchment and a quill, Ophelia quickly began a reply.

Of course i haven't forgotten you! Such an achievement would be more than a little difficult. It is a shame however to hear that you are so far away from me at the moment, although Acromantulas and the middle east sounds divine to me. It's slightly tainted however, by the muggles...

I hope that you are safe in keeping it under control? I dread to think of any ill-happening to befall you.

I have also remembered that promise, and i assure you i will keep to it! I can't exactly say i haven't not thought of you either, it's a hard job not too. I am sure that we'll be able to meet again soon, the Hogwarts trips to Hogsmeade aren't that far off, and i'll be a little more free.

Odessy is a beautiful bird and such a beautiful name. I don't know how to thank you enough Tyler.

With a bright smile upon her face, Ophelia let out a low whistle and a silver hunting falcon perched upon her arm. "Hello Zeus, i've a letter for you," She cooed fondly, and handed the silver falcon the rolled up parchment. She watched Zeus go with a delighted smile upon her face, it was enough to let her mind stray from Armand and Natasha.

Padme was delighted when the Professor handed her a kitten. Padme sat down in a chair, carefully cradleing the kitten. She put the bottle to the kittens mouth and the kitten latched on. "She's strong! Or he." Padme said. "They are so little and so strong!" Padme was amazed. She had never seen a kitten this small before and she loved it.

Professor Maline nodded proudly and smiled at Padme, "Ah yes, but you'd be surprised at just how gentle you need to be with them, but you seem to be doing very well."

Looking up, and sorting out her hair from her first lesson, it had been one heck of a commotion after all, Ophelia smiled, "Come in!" She called, not really knowing who it could be, some student she supposed needing help with the homework.

Ophelia's eyes widened in surprise, "Armand!" She exclaimed, "no, not intruding at all," she continued; before shaking her head to remove herself from his charms. Just think of Natasha, she chided herself mentally before remembering the conversation topic. "Oh Perry?" She asked rhetorically as the said Spider monkey dropped from a light fitting, "Much much better now thank you so much." She beamed, picking up the baby monkey fondly.

She smiled back at him and only then did she realise that she had to actually look up at him, this man was tall! "You certainly did help," Ophelia began quietly, then muttered the very, over used phrase, kicking herself for it, "I really don't know what i would have done with out you."

Kerry came up to the door and was about to knock, when she saw the two professors talking, it seemed they were really enjoying each other's company, so Kerry tip toed backwards, and waited on a bench just outside the room, not wanting to intrude.

She nodded, chiding herself once more. "Yes, they probably would have," She admitted openly, "but dock leaves were what i needed at that time and you helped." Really, she needed to stop being so...cliche around men.

She blinked a couple of times as Perry sniffed at Armands' hand once or twice before quite happily bouncing off Ophelia's shoulders, and onto Armands' arm. "My word..." She breathed, her bright eyes widening in surprise, and she fell, oddly gracefully into a bean bag.

Ariana went up to the Professors office, having forgotten something at the end of the lesson and noticed the two professors talking amonst themselves. Not wanting to interupt them she waited near the door, taking a seat.

Kerry saw Ariana waiting, too. She pointed over to the door and giggled. "Hmm, wonder what's going on in there," Kerry whispered. "I think we may have a new Hogwart's romance blossoming" she giggled as she tried not to be overheard by the professors just a few feet away.
