HAIIII, I'm Dee!

Alrighty, so I was discussing this idea with the awesome people at The Shh/TP, and everyone seemed to like it so I decided to give it a try!

Plot:
What happens to the many witches and wizards who attend Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, and all the other wizarding schools of Europe (and the rest of the world too, I guess) after they graduate?
According to HPL, nothing.

But that's no fun. College is one of the most exciting times of your life (or it's supposed to be, anyway. Lol)!
So, why not start up a university just for witches and wizards around the world? This isn't going to be the first university ever, in this RP universities are as normal to every witch's and wizard's life as it is to us muggles; nothing out of this world.

Wenlock University, founded in 1479 in honor of the popular witch Bridget Wenlock, is one of the largest magical universities in London, and it's well-known for its high standards and notable alumni. This is where our RP will be taking place, where a large group of students coming from different wizarding schools all around the world will meet each other for the first time (or not, perhaps some of them had already attended school together), and together enjoy some of the best years of their lives - there's still exams, and classes, and that stress that came with their first schools, but there's also a lot more freedom. You get to choose what classes you're going to take, when they'll start, how many days a week you'll go; there's no such thing as "detention" anymore, you're free to walk out of class whenever you want; and there's no nagging parents waiting to scold you for getting home at five in the morning. You're in dorms, there's no parents to give you rules! You're finally… an adult.
What you do with your time is entirely up to you; whether you do your homework or attend class is, again, up to you. You don't have to eat your vegetables anymore, and no nagging teachers will take House points away from you if you wander around past curfew. There is no curfew. But you still get to have the fun of joining sports teams if you like, and this time the matches aren't friendly little games between Houses - you play against other Universities now, against people who are seriously considering these sports to be their career. If sports are not for you, you can always join sororities or fraternities - as long as you make it past initiation.

So what will become of your characters once they begin living "the college student lifestyle"?
Some kids might go wild, they can't handle so much freedom. Will they go to class only once a week, take only two classes per semester and spend the rest of their free time playing Quidditch, partying, and chasing after girls until three the next morning?
Or will they continue with their goody-two-shoes personality? Take three times more classes than the average student, spend weekends locked up in their dorms studying?
Perhaps.
Or perhaps, some people will change… the nerdy girl will suddenly become the one everyone looks up to as the most beautiful, the most charming? Will the typical jock with his perfect grades and amazing Quidditch skills become a failure, too lazy to attend his classes and suddenly shunned by his classmates?
Who knows!

What your charries do in college, who they socialize with, what cliques they join, how they spend their weekends, how they perform in classes, everything is entirely up to you. Make them kings and queens, or make them failures. It's up to you. =]

So, the RP is obviously about kids attending the same wizarding university.

The layout for this school will be the same as any other muggle college or university, the only difference would obviously be their majors and classes which would have to match something kids in the wizarding world would take, obviously.

Some Must-Knows

All the kids in the RP should be either in their freshman or sophomore year. No seniors about to graduate or anything, please.
There will be two students per dorm room.
Roommates must be girl-girl or boy-boy (bahaha, no, you don't get that much freedom yet!)
Your character's class schedule is entirely up to you. It would be nice to have at least some charries with similar schedules so they can attend a class together and have a bit of it RPed out, though not the whole thing.
If your character is a sophomore, he or she may already be part of a fraternity or sorority, and he or she may help come up with the evil tasks they'll have the freshies do as part of initiation into their frats/sororities.
Characters are not limited to just students - you can RP a sports coach, a professor, anything you want.
Since this is a university, not everyone will be native to its location (which would be England, I suppose). Your charrie may be an international student, if you want them to be.
Since we're starting up a whole new school from scratch here, it would be a LOT of work and too much info at once to give you guys like a whole layout of the school's buildings and classes and this and that, so you may make that up as you go along.
Be crazy, have your charries perform wild stunts, get them in trouble, put them in unlikely situations, just add on to the plot to keep it fun!
If you guys have plans with someone else about dorming your charries together, just add in your bio something like: "Roommate: Bob Smith." If you don't have a roomie yet, we'll randomly mix the charries up together; aaaand if your charrie just doesn't want any roommates at all, he or she may have a single dorm room for themselves (just make sure to clarify that in your bio.)
We'll be starting the RP about a month after the first day of classes, so everyone should be at least a little familiar with each other.

Alrighty, guys! So… I'm kinda dumb.

Turns out there's no sororities or frats in English universities, or they go by another name, I'm not sure. Either way, it's too late to move the school to the US now, soooo… uh… here's a Wiki page on what sororities and frats are?

But since this is just an RP not a REAL univ. and stuff, we're just focusing on the putting-freshmen-through-difficult-tasks and hardcore-partying parts of being in sororities or fraternities.

Then, realizing that she should probably say something to Rosie, too, she turned her gaze back to her. "Hi Rosie," she forced herself to say. She was not very friendly with girls who were ~~trying to steal her guys~~ equally as pretty as her. Not that Barbie wasn't pretty--she certainly was--but not in the 'come flirt with me' kind of sense.

He smiled at Hailey, though he wasn't really sure what else he could say to her now. He just got vibes off of her, and he wasn't sure if it was just his paranoia or what. There was just something about her that made him more wary than he was with other girls.

"Hanging around sounds nice. We can hang around together sometime." And he wasn't sure why he was saying that to her. He didn't normally hang around with bad girls. Or anyone really.

Lucian, still on his cozy huge office, was reading some important papers. He was browsing on each student's information sheet. He found some prospect students who could be a school leade and there were also some students who would surely just loiter around the uni and break school rules so he should keep an eye on those students who might cause nothing but trouble. Anyway, he should be getting ready for his class now. After he finish drinking his tea, he would head into his classroom which was next to his office and he would post an announcement about the upcoming Transfiguration class.

Hailey's eyes shot up at he suggeted hanging around together sometime. What?! She recovered a but by placing her sunglasses on her head, and tucking a loose strand of her hair behind her ear.
"Really?" She asked him now, not even caring that she sounded like an idiot. She thought he hated her.

Her reaction made him blink. She seemed sorta happy almost. It was weird. Was she planning something? Or did she have some other motive? He wasn't sure, and he wasn't sure if he could trust her because he hated her. And you generally didn't trust people you hated as a rule.

"I guess it could give me a chance to leave my Dorm a bit more." And that was always a good thing really.

"Yes there is actually, it's just regarding my class; I mean the students pay almost no attention which would explain why there's been a few explosions and why no one in my class has a mark higher than an Acceptable." There was no reasons that she could actually think of for why the students weren't able to get at least an E.

"But i cant stand herbology." And that was why he hadn't chosen it.

Felicity frowned at her brother, and gave his arm a right old SLAP. "You're so LUCKY we're related, Maximus. If I was a girl you were trying to chat up, and failing, you would have got a slap round the face, and a kick where you don't want to be kicked." Hmpfh! How DARE that loser. She still held onto his arm though, and leant her head onto it for a fraction of a second before he spoke again. And then she looked up at him.

"You were a silly chaser. Trust me. I watched you play." Because she was an amazing sister. "Pa does! Atleast he cares about us." Not that their mother didn't, but with being a muggle she didn't quite... understand them.

"Because you're a loser."

He finished off his sandwich and bite into his apple. It was delicious. Granny Smith applies were his favorites. Nice, crisp and sour. "How are you liking your classes?" he asked.

"Alright, that's it," said Jill after taking a moment to soak all of this in. "I'm definitely rushing Alpha Pi Delta next week!" she said with a grin.

Layla laughed. "Well it sounds good to me." Layla was used to the British and French accent having lived in both countries. But she still found the English accent beautiful. "It is very nice here. Ze decor is so personal, it makes it unique." Layla followed Jill through the door and grinned. "Amazing isn't it?" She looked around the room and sat on oe ofthe beds. "I think it is zis one that is ze spare. So if you were to join Zis would be your bed." She grinned as Jill spoke. "Well i'm very glad to hear zat." She hugged Jill, all bubbly and excited now. Another new member, well that is if she passed the initiation test. But Layla might be able to do something about that.

He was happy when Rosie smiled at him. He liked talking to her. And she was being nice to him. He didn't think she was up to anything like Hailey always was, so he trusted her.

"It was good. But then you were there too, so you would know." Yes, he had noticed that she was there. Not that he would tell her why he had. "Have you started the homework yet?" He'd gladly help her if she needed it.

"Mhhm, yes. We could do lunch together, sometime..." Hailey said, now scanning the area for her roomie, Fliss. But Rosie's greeting caught her attention, and she glanced over at her. Boy did she not look happy--now what would she want with a nerd like Jay?! ~~He was her's~~ Ahem.

"But you aren't. I'm just staring at how ugly you are." Maxxie smirked at her sister. Oh how he loved teasing her. She knew he didn't really mean it, she was very pretty. "That is not all I do. I was an awesome chaser." He grinned at her. Vain much? "Pa doesn't know what he is talking about." Just because he had been a lazy so and so at home didn't mean he was one at school.

"But i cant stand herbology." And that was why he hadn't chosen it.

"How's it going?" She said, trying to make conversation, although she could already see that Jason and Rosie were already talking.

Lifting up the luggage Freddie turned to Mya saying "Mya, where do you want me to take your luggage?" Okay he had to admit she was very pretty but also a sophmore which usually complicated things beyond no end. Waiting for her response Freddie saw Joseph enter the cafeteria and be joined at one of the tables by Uni's most popular girl Rosalind.

Freddie really felt for his mate but knew that Joseph had to fair for himself since he himself had a luggage mission. Ugh why had Professor Treux given him this assignment in the first place?

Mya glanced at the boy as he Professor instructed him to help her.She sighed a little knowing how much she would have rather not have taken her families luggage up when they came up to stay,and she knew how annoying it was.She looked at the boy and smiled."Sorry about this, your helping me though"she laughed shaking her head."Im sorry."she said to him shaking her head.She looked around as she realised she had lost track of Kelly.Man she moved fast to say the least.She smiled softly as she turned back to the boy.

"So"she said as she walked the way her dorm was."Have a good summer?"she asked,knowing that it wasnt like school anymore where slightly younger kids dont talk to slightly older kids.She knew how it worked as she had been there for a year now.She sighed a little as she looked around the Uni.Something she hadnt realised was the lightly covered walls which pretty vines and flowers.She smiled as she turned and caught the boy looking at some other people

"You can go and see your friends if you want"she said smiling."I dont want you to feel like you have to as a punishment,you can go "she smiled sweetly.

"My classes are classes, I suppose. I'm managing great grades, so I guess that's good." Harlem already knew that the reason she even picked Wenlock was to get away from her parents.

And this was exactly why he didn't care for her. She was always like this. "We can go. I'm just surprised that you would want to eat lunch with me." He shrugged. Because she didn't like him and he didn't like her. But they could hang out and see if they could become friends or something. He would be willing to try to be her friend if she didn't try to pull something on him.

Sighing, she licked her lips and actually smiled at him.
"How about lunch tomorrow? Meet you by Umbrella-Tables?" She asked him now, wondering if he would try to back out. She really wanted to have lunch with him now.

He looked at her, "I wanted a room to myself to be honest. I mean Syler is cool don't get me wrong. We get along its just he's not as clean as I would like him to be." He didn't want her to think they were always fighting and that Syler was a prat. Harlem just as strict cleaning standards that none adhered to but himself.

He bit into his apple again loving the sour juices that squirted into his mouth. There was nothing like a cold, sour apple on a hot day. His mother made the best apple turnovers. It made him long for home momentarily. "I would have thought you would have just taken up a job somewhere." he told her honestly. He was a bit shocked when she told him she was going to University. "You're more of a person to lay out in the sun daydreaming than to hang out in a class." He shrugged. There were easy ways to get away from your parents than to go to school when your heart wasn't in it.

He looked at her, stunned that she said that she considered herself his friend. He didn't get it when she was supposed to be an evil girl. Why was she his friend? He thought she didn't like him.

She was smiling at him, so maybe he was wrong.

Freddie walked after Mya carrying her luggage in both hands. It was actually and not just a myth that women needed more stuff. As Mya apologised for him having to carry her luggage Freddie just shrugged dismissvley "It's okay. I put myself in the position of being your servant for the day. I ~~stupidly~~ told Professor Treux that I had nothing to do. It's fine really."

As the headed up the floors Mya kept on apologising which for an older student was a bit weird even in Freddie's eyes. Neither at Hogwarts nor here was it common for older students to keep on apologising for things which were out their control.

When they came up to where Mya's dorm was located Freddie felt hot and flustered again. Gladly setting the luggage down he turned to Mya saying "Yes, My summer was great. My family and I went to a resort on the coast and I got to try out snorkling. It was fantastic."

"So how was you're summer Mya? Eventful?" Freddie heard Mya's comment about him being free to go back to his freinds which he could do but he didn't want to leave just yet. "I don't see it as a punishment. Now where do you want me to put your luggage?"

Onyx nodded; a single room definitely would've suited Harlem better. Even she knew that. His OCD about cleanliness was just... otherworldly, practically. It was hard to keep up with how clean he was.

She shrugged. "I didn't want a job and my parents didn't want me to get one, either. I did some runway walking work over the summer and that upset them. But I loved it." There was nothing like walking a catwalk wearing couture clothing. It was love. "There isn't any catwalking to be done right now. So I decided to come to school and try to learn something." The girl nodded as Harlem described her; he definitely knew her.
