Ezra traveled nearly around the world, selecting different exotic magical and mundane plants for an experiment he had to conduct.

20 - 24:
Home-schooled a group of bratty underage wizards.
Wrote thesis on cross-fertilization between magical & mundane plants. He received a lot of appreciation and various experiments based on his findings are underway.

25:
Now that he has gained plenty of recognition in the magical world, the headmaster of Wenlock University offered him the position as the Herbology professor, an offer he couldn't deny.

Personality:
Ezra is a perfect example of a go-getter. He's very passionate about his career and enjoys striving for what he desires. He's not the one to choose ease over difficulty whether it be his experiments or as simple as taking the stairs to his classroom rather than the elevators. For him there's no fun in life if you don't break a sweat or two. This is something he ardently hopes to instill into his students and literally detest lazy learners. Ezra, although personally dislikes procrastinating, is very placid when it comes to his students. He'd give them plenty of time for completion of assignments so much so he himself forgets about asking for them later.

Generally professors warm up to pupils who fall in the category of know-it-alls and teacher's pets, in contrast he has his full faith in the weak-willed and troubled ones and tries his best to help them out in any possible way. Despite the fact that his serious traits have taken over most of his persona, Ezra is a friendly, fun-loving guy only when the time is right. He cannot tolerate disturbance and waste-of-time conversations during his lesson. One thing which the whole university faculty and the students aren't aware is that Ezra is an amazing hip-hop dancer.
