Alrighty, so I was discussing this idea with the awesome people at The Shh/TP, and everyone seemed to like it so I decided to give it a try!
Plot:
What happens to the many witches and wizards who attend Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, and all the other wizarding schools of Europe (and the rest of the world too, I guess) after they graduate?
According to HPL, nothing. (Thanks RaRaRachieee for looking that up. )
But that's no fun. College is one of the most exciting times of your life (or it's supposed to be, anyway. Lol)!
So, why not start up a university just for witches and wizards around the world? This isn't going to be the first university ever, in this RP universities are as normal to every witch's and wizard's life as it is to us muggles; nothing out of this world.
Wenlock University, founded in 1479 in honor of the popular witch Bridget Wenlock, is one of the largest magical universities in London, and it's well-known for its high standards and notable alumni. This is where our RP will be taking place, where a large group of students coming from different wizarding schools all around the world will meet each other for the first time (or not, perhaps some of them had already attended school together), and together enjoy some of the best years of their lives - there's still exams, and classes, and that stress that came with their first schools, but there's also a lot more freedom. You get to choose what classes you're going to take, when they'll start, how many days a week you'll go; there's no such thing as "detention" anymore, you're free to walk out of class whenever you want; and there's no nagging parents waiting to scold you for getting home at five in the morning. You're in dorms, there's no parents to give you rules! You're finally… an adult.
What you do with your time is entirely up to you; whether you do your homework or attend class is, again, up to you. You don't have to eat your vegetables anymore, and no nagging teachers will take House points away from you if you wander around past curfew. There is no curfew. But you still get to have the fun of joining sports teams if you like, and this time the matches aren't friendly little games between Houses - you play against other Universities now, against people who are seriously considering these sports to be their career. If sports are not for you, you can always join sororities or fraternities - as long as you make it past initiation.
So what will become of your characters once they begin living "the college student lifestyle"?
Some kids might go wild, they can't handle so much freedom. Will they go to class only once a week, take only two classes per semester and spend the rest of their free time playing Quidditch, partying, and chasing after girls until three the next morning?
Or will they continue with their goody-two-shoes personality? Take three times more classes than the average student, spend weekends locked up in their dorms studying?
Perhaps.
Or perhaps, some people will change… the nerdy girl will suddenly become the one everyone looks up to as the most beautiful, the most charming? Will the typical jock with his perfect grades and amazing Quidditch skills become a failure, too lazy to attend his classes and suddenly shunned by his classmates?
Who knows!
What your charries do in college, who they socialize with, what cliques they join, how they spend their weekends, how they perform in classes, everything is entirely up to you. Make them kings and queens, or make them failures. It's up to you. =]

So, the RP is obviously about kids attending the same wizarding university.
The layout for this school will be the same as any other muggle college or university, the only difference would obviously be their majors and classes which would have to match something kids in the wizarding world would take, obviously.
Some Must-Knows
All the kids in the RP should be either in their freshman or sophomore year. No seniors about to graduate or anything, please.
There will be two students per dorm room.
Roommates must be girl-girl or boy-boy (bahaha, no, you don't get that much freedom yet!)
Your character's class schedule is entirely up to you. It would be nice to have at least some charries with similar schedules so they can attend a class together and have a bit of it RPed out, though not the whole thing.
If your character is a sophomore, he or she may already be part of a fraternity or sorority, and he or she may help come up with the evil tasks they'll have the freshies do as part of initiation into their frats/sororities.
Characters are not limited to just students - you can RP a sports coach, a professor, anything you want.
Since this is a university, not everyone will be native to its location (which would be England, I suppose). Your charrie may be an international student, if you want them to be.
Since we're starting up a whole new school from scratch here, it would be a LOT of work and too much info at once to give you guys like a whole layout of the school's buildings and classes and this and that, so you may make that up as you go along.
Be crazy, have your charries perform wild stunts, get them in trouble, put them in unlikely situations, just add on to the plot to keep it fun!
If you guys have plans with someone else about dorming your charries together, just add in your bio something like: "Roommate: Bob Smith." If you don't have a roomie yet, we'll randomly mix the charries up together; aaaand if your charrie just doesn't want any roommates at all, he or she may have a single dorm room for themselves (just make sure to clarify that in your bio.)
We'll be starting the RP about a month after the first day of classes, so everyone should be at least a little familiar with each other.

There's no limit as to how many characters you can have, or how many the RP will have as a whole. The more the better! Though let's try to keep the boy/girl ratio even.
Alrighty, guys! So… I'm kinda dumb. Turns out there's no sororities or frats in English universities, or they go by another name, I'm not sure. Either way, it's too late to move the school to the US now, soooo… uh… here's a Wiki page on what sororities and frats are?
But since this is just an RP not a REAL univ. and stuff, we're just focusing on the putting-freshmen-through-difficult-tasks and hardcore-partying parts of being in sororities or fraternities.

Personality: Kelly is a very bubbly sort of person, always finding the humour in any situation. She has natural leader qualities, sometimes becoming quite bossy which caused quite a few arguments for her during her school days, she has adapted well though and people tend not to try and fight with her as they would probably lose. Kelly is very confident in herself and doesn't let people tell her what to do. With her close friends however, she shows a different side to her personality, as she is very caring of others' well-being. She also has a very witty sense of humour and uses it in almost every conversation she has with people.
History: Kelly had attended Hogwarts school of Witchcraft & Wizardry upon arriving at Wenlock University. Personality: Amelia can be considered a firecracker, in other words she's got a very short fuse when it comes to her temper and it's not to be tested by students. However, most of the the time she's a kind, understanding woman completely not typical of a Slytherin whatsoever; she does have a bit of a problem with being impatient especially when it comes to assignments being due on a specific date, it's just in her nature to be quite punctual with everything and it may seem like she's overreacting when something is like 10 minutes late but she isn't.
History: Born in London,Ontario, Canada; she lived a relatively normal life until the day she discovered that she was a witch, she attended Hogwarts where she excelled in potions along with flying. She was the top of her class at graduation, setting a new record for number of house points earned through 7 terms. A Curse Breaker is a profession at the wizard's bank Gringotts, in which a wizard or witch is asked to break curses in ancient tombs to bring back lots of gold to Gringotts.
It is said to be a very dangerous and serious profession, in which a wizard or witch could be killed as a result of an old curse, jinx, or hex. An O.W.L. in Arithmancy is required, and known job functions are synonymous with the name as such. The Goblins that run Gringotts generally do not care what the Curse Breakers look like in terms of appearance or dress, as long as they bring home lots of gold. Personality: Jillian is a tough cookie. She's not one to be put down easily, and will drag on a fight if offered one. She's usually rather quiet and prefers to keep her thoughts and opinions to herself; however, once you upset her, she will not delay to snap and let every insult in the book out. But though she can be a little hot-tempered, the girl doesn't necessarily enjoy and look for arguments. She prefers to have a civil relationship with those around her. Jill doesn't care much for girly things and activities - shopping, nail-painting, boy-talking, etc. However, that doesn't mean that she walked around unkempt and looking like a bum, she just prefers to dress more casual.
Despite being a little hot-headed, very proud, and extremely stubborn, Jill has always been a good student. She wasn't the best of the best, but she was never average or anything less than that. She was dedicated to her studies, though she didn't let them rule her life. Jill has always been one to encourage change, the idea of breaking against the norm and changing society's views. She'll participate in any protest as long as she feels the cause is right, and even started some during her school years, demanding real chefs prepare the school food rather than elves. Unfortunately, the school only gave in to her demands after she had already graduated and created a large following of younger students all fighting for the same cause.
Jill is also a rather adventurous girl, and will take on any challenge offered to her. The riskier, the better. She wasn't necessarily known to be a troublemaker as much as she was known to be a leader in protests and organizations back at school, but she does enjoy causing a little trouble now and then. Who doesn't?
Family: Jillian is a middle-child; she has an older sister who is currently twenty-two and the complete opposite of her. And then she has a little brother, with whom she keeps a close relationship. Though for the most part, Jill's pretty independent and isn't one to really look forward to much family-time or that sort of thing.
Other: Jillian keeps a pet ferret named Panda. The girl is head over heels in love with her ferret and tends to take him out on walks around campus during the weekends.

Personality: Oliver is, for the most part, your average college student - he's dedicated to his studies, though he still finds the time to go out and have fun. He's not necessarily shy, but he's not wild and out of control either; he enjoys a good adventure and taking risks, just like any other guy. However, he has a bit of a problem. He's honest - too honest. Oliver isn't necessarily a bad person, and neither does he try to be, but he often finds himself on people's black lists due to his outspoken nature. If you rolled out of bed and walked into class looking like a mess, he won't be afraid to tell you. He won't go up to you and say it, but if you asked him about it… well, you asked him. While in the classroom, Oliver is very dedicated to his studies and keeps a serious face throughout most part of the class; he doesn't like to be distracted and has little trouble paying attention. He had always been a good student. But once out of class, the boy turns more carefree and will be up for anything as long as it's with a good group of friends - grab some butterbeers, watch a Quidditch match, etc.
Family: Oliver has a rather… difficult background. He used to live with his mother, father, and little sister Alice. When he was twelve and his sister six, their mother passed away from an unknown illness ('cause I'm too lazy to come up with a real one) and their father fell into a deep depression. Lost in his grief, the man stopped caring for the kids and spent most of his time away from home, leaving the kids to cook for themselves; when he returned home, it was as if they were strangers, and he never really spoke with his children anymore. Seeing this was obviously not going to lead him anywhere good, Oliver left home and took his little sister with him. He moved in with his aunt and uncle, who took care of them for the next four years, until Oliver was sixteen and moved out to live on his own. He wanted to take Alice with him, but his aunt and uncle didn't allow it, as they knew a sixteen-year-old boy couldn't take care of a child by himself. But Oliver never stopped visiting his little sister; he took her out whenever he could, he spent most of his money getting things for her, and wrote to her almost every week during the time he had to leave for school. To this day, he and Alice still keep an extremely close relationship and the boy leaves the dorms every weekend to visit her.
Other: Oliver doesn't really talk much about his past; he doesn't necessarily see it as this great painful experience that he just can't talk about, no. He just sees it as a challenge he had to overcome and finds no need to tell the whole world about his troubles; he doesn't want anyone's pity and though he may not want to admit it, he doesn't want people seeing him differently because of his background. It's not like he did anything wrong, but he just wanted to fit in as a "normal" kid the way his classmates did, most of which lived at home with their parents of course.
Oliver also plays an important role in his fraternity, and often helps coming up with challenges and tasks for the new students to perform to join the fraternity. And though Oliver isn't really a bad guy… he really does enjoy giving these poor kids a hard time.

History: Mitchell is the eldest child of three children of Jason DeMyer and Grace DeMyer. Jason and Grace are aurors at the Irish Ministry of Magic. Mitchell’s siblings include younger brother seventeen, Markus and younger sister, fourteen, Elise. Both of his siblings attend Valin just as he had done.
Mitchell was sent to Valin for schooling instead of Hogwarts for the simple reasoning that Jason and Grace wanted their children to see more of the world. Valin, located in Manhattan New York was located between two buildings in the Upper East Side, the school of course was only visible by people who had magic flowing in their vains. To a normal person it appeared to be a nice hotel, and upon entering they would remember they had to be else where.
Mitchell excelled at Valin and was always head of his class. By the beginning of his second year he was advanced to third year coursework in class. He rarely had any homework for the simple fact he was very studious and finished it all at a very quickly manner. With very little homework and lots of time on his hands he experienced New York and several other states.
Mitchell graduated top of his class with very high grades in all of his classes. His teachers and several other of the younger students were upset to see him go, but urged him to go on to Wenlock University to expand his knowledge before picking a career to fulfill.
Now, a sophomore at Wenlock University, Mitchell has decided to lay back on so many courses and take it easy. He’s hoping that laying off of his studies a little he will find fun and adventure with other students and possibly meet a nice girl. He is also very very excited that his friend from the UPES Onyx Ivan-Knox is attending Wenlock University this year as a freshman. He missed her last year desperately and didn't get the chance to visit over the summer break. Mitchell and Onyx met at school, and though they are vastly different they became very close friends. Onyx is one of Mitchell's closet friends.
Personality: Mitch is a fun loving man, and is great to be around. He knows his way around several places and loves to travel. It takes a lot to get him angry, but can get annoyed and irritated very very easily.

History: Kat is the only child of Jonathan Teegan and Sandrine Teegan. The wealthy family raised her well, she was spoiled but you'd never know by the way she acts. She loved her parents more than anything in the world. At the age of nine she saw her mother killed by one of her father's 'friends' and soon thereafter saw her father kill said 'friend'. At age eleven Jonathan was more than happy to send her to Hogwarts where he and Sandrine both graduated from. He was very pleased and not suprised at all when he got a letter from Kyleen that she had been sorted into Slytherin.
Kat was a typical Slytherin, she had her 'friends' but none of which she really bonded with. She preferred to be alone most of the time. She was one of the 'nicer' Slytherins, but she had her bad spots. At thirteen, Kat's only supporter in life passed away, her father was no longer there. Through her third and fourth year she changed dramatically, and was appointed Slytherin Girl Prefect at the beginning of her fifth year. Upon her seventh year she was Head Girl. Kat had good grades and graduated near the top of her class.
She wasn't sure what to do after Hogwarts, but after some talking with several professors she found a side of her that wanted to help people. She wanted to be a Healer. The same professors talked her into going to Wenlock University for just a year to see if she liked it and she did. She studied there for four years and then left to Heal at a small wizarding hospital in France . She came back to Wenlock to see some of the professors and got talked into being a temporary house mom for Alpha Pi Deta. She couldn’t leave Wenlock after that visit. Now she’s starting her third year as a house mom. She can’t bring herself to leave the girls she’s met and learned so much about during this crucial time in their lives knowing how hard it was for her to go through it.
Personality: Kat is very fun, and she’ll tell you like it is. If your outfit is weird looking, she’ll tell you right then and there. But she’ll help you pick a new one out. She loves to meet new people and loves to help people. Kat can get vicious when it’s needed, and it is suggested not to make her get to that point. Mess with one of her girls, and you'll wish you hadn't. gentlemen should fear her wrath

Bake sales, the idea of which the witches were to make a batch of cookies or brownies by hand the muggle way, ending up in most of the baking was done by wand. But a large amount of money was raised and was set towards the Alpha Pi Deta savings account in Gringotts. Other fundraising activities were just a success.
The House: The house was built four years after Miss Justine graduated from Wenlock University, then Alpha Pi Deta was focused around meetings. Since the building of the House it has held it’s residence of the young women of Alpha Pi Deta. The House has been remodeled several times, but it still has the essence that the original House once held. Walking into the House you are in the greeting foyer, to you’re right is the living room. To the left of the greeting foyer is the very large dining room, with enough seats to sit more than the ladies of Alpha Pi Deta where the ladies can see each other every day, not just on meeting nights.
There’s an average sized room on the main floor filled with things from the sororities’ past, it includes pictures of members. Letters they wrote to incoming prospective. The kitchen is in the back of the main floor, a large place with two of every muggle appliance. A set of stairs are in the kitchen and in the greeting hall, leading to the second floor, and then on up to the third floor. The second floor has several rooms that are large. Of course, magic was used to make everything fit with out making the House seem bigger than it already is. The third floor, the attic, is where most of the single rooms are, there are a few double rooms up there though. The views from the third floor are spectacular. The large room that takes up one end of the floor is the House Mom’s room.
Rules: In order to be in the Alpha Pi Deta at the Wenlock University chapter, you must be a female student or alum from Wenlock University. Grades should be in good standing, nothing failing.

History: Syler is an only child as far as he has ever known, though he counts the twenty other or so kids in the orphanage he used to live in as his brothers and sisters. An old wizarding maid (Irene) at a rich muggle house adopted him from the orphanage because she couldn't leave him be with no right mother to look after him, though knowing exactly why he was in the orphange and couldn't stand herself if she left him there. Syler recieved his Hogwarts letter at the age of eleven, just as Irene expected through the several odd encounters Syler had had with magic. She was displeased, but knew that Syler would be sorted into Slytherin upon arriving at school. He found out within that first year at Hogwarts about his family. The Fox Fox family was a very wealthy family and had given up their sixth child because he was simply too much to handle. Syler kept to himself, but made several friends, all of which he didn't trust. They were Slytherins after all. He received fairly decent grades and went on to study at Wenlock University.
Personality: Sy is usually pretty serious and quiet, though he does love to have fun every now and again. He gets irritated and annoyed quickly and when dueling, he never gives up.
Animals: None

Mitchell excelled at Valin and was always head of his class. By the beginning of his second year he was advanced to third year coursework in class. He rarely had any homework for the simple fact he was very studious and finished it all at a very quickly manner. With very little homework and lots of time on his hands he experienced New York and several other states.
Mitchell graduated top of his class with very high grades in all of his classes. His teachers and several other of the younger students were upset to see him go, but urged him to go on to Wenlock University to expand his knowledge before picking a career to fulfill.
Now, a sophomore at Wenlock University, Mitchell has decided to lay back on so many courses and take it easy. He’s hoping that laying off of his studies a little he will find fun and adventure with other students and possibly meet a nice girl.
Personality: Mitch is a fun loving man, and is great to be around. He knows his way around several places and loves to travel. It takes a lot to get him angry, but can get annoyed and irritated very very easily.

History: Kat is the only child of Jonathan Teegan and Sandrine Teegan. Both parents passed at the age of sixteen. She’s been on her own since then. Kat went to Hogwarts like most wizarding kids around the area and was sorted into Slytherin. She had decent grades and graduated near the top of her class. She was going to go straight into training for Healing but her professors talked her into expanding her knowledge at Wenlock University. She studied there for four and a half years and then left to Heal at a small wizarding hospital in France . She came back to Wenlock to see some of the students and her professors and got talked into being a temporary house mom for Alpha Pi Deta. She couldn’t leave Wenlock after that visit. Now she’s starting her third year as a house mom. She can’t bring herself to leave the girls she’s met and learned so much about during this crucial time in their lives.
Personality: Kat is very fun, and she’ll tell you like it is. If your outfit is weird looking, she’ll tell you right then and there. But she’ll help you pick a new one out. She loves to meet new people and loves to help people. Kat can get vicious when it’s needed, and it is suggested not to make her get to that point.

History: Hailey Mitchell was born in Edinburgh, Scotland to Scott and Kerri Mitchell, who are two extraordinary Healers at St. Mungo's. Because of this, Hailey also wants to pursue a career in healing, although she is open to other options as well. She was brought up as a spoiled child, even though her younger brother, Luke, was the baby of the family. Luke turned out to be smarter one, though Hailey decided to prove that she's just as smart by going to Wenlock. Hopefully, she won't disappoint her parents.
Personality: Hailey is an arrogant, overly dramatic, typical college girl. Always falling for the wrong guys, and always being extreme has left a mark on her. She's not as willing to give her heart to anyone these days, although there is someone she has her eye on. Most of the time, she is carefree and likes to live life to the fullest. She gets very jealous, very easily, and is a bit too much for her parents to control. Overall, though, she just wants to have fun.
Animals: None. She's not a fan of animals of any kind.

Appearance: Faris takes pride in his appearance, at least somewhat. His raven-black hair is his best friend and he can spend at least an hour fussing with it, making it perfectly unkempt. His skin is quite bronzed; what else would you expect from an Italian farm boy? His eyes are a deep, hazelnut shade of brown. When he's angry, which is rare, they sometimes can appear black with fury. As for build, he stands fairly tall at about 6 feet and is fairly lean and toned from all of those years helping his parents work the land. Although he's used to working with animals and dirt, he also takes pride in his nails and teeth, almost obsessively charming them to stay just right. If he didn't, all of that homemade food and Italian rock clay would have ruined his pearly whites and perfect nails a long time ago.
Style: Faris dresses like any other normal guy and is fairly laid-back. You can usually catch him in jeans, a tank top, a plain sweater, and any one of his three pairs of work boots (grey, black, or brown: whichever suits his mood or the occasion). People are surprised to find that he keeps the majority of his clothes unstained, as most guys like him are stereotyped to be gallavanting about the countryside barefoot in a dirt-stained burlap sack.
Personality: Faris is a fairly relaxed guy. He is only ever riled up if you speak ill of his loved ones (including his pet and the farm animals), his upbringing, his ethnicity, and any other means of insults that people often times use. He's got a pretty nasty bat-bogey hex for a farmboy, so watch out! Other than that, Faris is usually quiet and reserved. He's not anti-social, he just prefers to observe the world around him in silent awe. He was raised to be a gentleman and is the definition of chivalry. Faris is the farthest thing from a womaniser and is quite elementary about girls: he'll have major periods of longing over a girl or two, but he's too shy to ever approach the object of his desires. When you get to know him and get past the silence and shyness, Faris is a pretty fun person to hang around. He cracks jokes almost non-stop and is loyal and protective of his close friends. When he's angry, which is rare, beware. He tries to keep away from others when he's in a dangerous mood, but on a few occasions he has gone ranting and raving on a few unlucky people. Overall, Faris is a homely farm boy, excited about his move from Italy to England in the hopes of expanding his horizons.

Aaaaahhh that's my fault, I forgot to mention the frats and sororities there were!
There's one sorority and one fraternity so far:
Alpha Pi Deta (AΠΔ), with their Sorority House Mom being Kyleen Adrienne Teegan.
&
Sigma Mu Eta (ΣMΗ), with their Frat Master being dan arjay's charrie.
However, if you guys want to create more sororities to add in more diversity (and perhaps some sorority/frat rivalries ), we shall add one more sorority and one more frat. I don't think there'd be much point in having more than two of each as we're a school of only like what, 20 students?
So yeah.
Alpha Gamma Delta Delta Zeta sounds good, Tash! That'll be the second sorority! (With the little greek letters being AΓΔ, I believeI dunno what it'd be for this one Wait, wait! It's ΔZ! ).
