Alrighty, so I was discussing this idea with the awesome people at The Shh/TP, and everyone seemed to like it so I decided to give it a try!
Plot:
What happens to the many witches and wizards who attend Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, and all the other wizarding schools of Europe (and the rest of the world too, I guess) after they graduate?
According to HPL, nothing. (Thanks RaRaRachieee for looking that up. )
But that's no fun. College is one of the most exciting times of your life (or it's supposed to be, anyway. Lol)!
So, why not start up a university just for witches and wizards around the world? This isn't going to be the first university ever, in this RP universities are as normal to every witch's and wizard's life as it is to us muggles; nothing out of this world.
Wenlock University, founded in 1479 in honor of the popular witch Bridget Wenlock, is one of the largest magical universities in London, and it's well-known for its high standards and notable alumni. This is where our RP will be taking place, where a large group of students coming from different wizarding schools all around the world will meet each other for the first time (or not, perhaps some of them had already attended school together), and together enjoy some of the best years of their lives - there's still exams, and classes, and that stress that came with their first schools, but there's also a lot more freedom. You get to choose what classes you're going to take, when they'll start, how many days a week you'll go; there's no such thing as "detention" anymore, you're free to walk out of class whenever you want; and there's no nagging parents waiting to scold you for getting home at five in the morning. You're in dorms, there's no parents to give you rules! You're finally… an adult.
What you do with your time is entirely up to you; whether you do your homework or attend class is, again, up to you. You don't have to eat your vegetables anymore, and no nagging teachers will take House points away from you if you wander around past curfew. There is no curfew. But you still get to have the fun of joining sports teams if you like, and this time the matches aren't friendly little games between Houses - you play against other Universities now, against people who are seriously considering these sports to be their career. If sports are not for you, you can always join sororities or fraternities - as long as you make it past initiation.
So what will become of your characters once they begin living "the college student lifestyle"?
Some kids might go wild, they can't handle so much freedom. Will they go to class only once a week, take only two classes per semester and spend the rest of their free time playing Quidditch, partying, and chasing after girls until three the next morning?
Or will they continue with their goody-two-shoes personality? Take three times more classes than the average student, spend weekends locked up in their dorms studying?
Perhaps.
Or perhaps, some people will change… the nerdy girl will suddenly become the one everyone looks up to as the most beautiful, the most charming? Will the typical jock with his perfect grades and amazing Quidditch skills become a failure, too lazy to attend his classes and suddenly shunned by his classmates?
Who knows!
What your charries do in college, who they socialize with, what cliques they join, how they spend their weekends, how they perform in classes, everything is entirely up to you. Make them kings and queens, or make them failures. It's up to you. =]

So, the RP is obviously about kids attending the same wizarding university.
The layout for this school will be the same as any other muggle college or university, the only difference would obviously be their majors and classes which would have to match something kids in the wizarding world would take, obviously.
Some Must-Knows
All the kids in the RP should be either in their freshman or sophomore year. No seniors about to graduate or anything, please.
There will be two students per dorm room.
Roommates must be girl-girl or boy-boy (bahaha, no, you don't get that much freedom yet!)
Your character's class schedule is entirely up to you. It would be nice to have at least some charries with similar schedules so they can attend a class together and have a bit of it RPed out, though not the whole thing.
If your character is a sophomore, he or she may already be part of a fraternity or sorority, and he or she may help come up with the evil tasks they'll have the freshies do as part of initiation into their frats/sororities.
Characters are not limited to just students - you can RP a sports coach, a professor, anything you want.
Since this is a university, not everyone will be native to its location (which would be England, I suppose). Your charrie may be an international student, if you want them to be.
Since we're starting up a whole new school from scratch here, it would be a LOT of work and too much info at once to give you guys like a whole layout of the school's buildings and classes and this and that, so you may make that up as you go along.
Be crazy, have your charries perform wild stunts, get them in trouble, put them in unlikely situations, just add on to the plot to keep it fun!
If you guys have plans with someone else about dorming your charries together, just add in your bio something like: "Roommate: Bob Smith." If you don't have a roomie yet, we'll randomly mix the charries up together; aaaand if your charrie just doesn't want any roommates at all, he or she may have a single dorm room for themselves (just make sure to clarify that in your bio.)
We'll be starting the RP about a month after the first day of classes, so everyone should be at least a little familiar with each other.

There's no limit as to how many characters you can have, or how many the RP will have as a whole. The more the better! Though let's try to keep the boy/girl ratio even.
Alrighty, guys! So… I'm kinda dumb. Turns out there's no sororities or frats in English universities, or they go by another name, I'm not sure. Either way, it's too late to move the school to the US now, soooo… uh… here's a Wiki page on what sororities and frats are?
But since this is just an RP not a REAL univ. and stuff, we're just focusing on the putting-freshmen-through-difficult-tasks and hardcore-partying parts of being in sororities or fraternities.

Jeremy is more than your average frat guy. Though he's very active in his fraternity duties, he's working on a scholarship at Wenlock and can't afford to lose it. Therefore, he spends a lot of his free time studying and doing schoolwork. Unfortunately for the boy, smarts don't necessarily come easy to him. Not that he's dumb or anything, no, just the opposite. He's a very intelligent boy, but it takes him longer to grasp certain things academically, meaning he has to work a lot harder than the average smart kid on a scholarship.
Between this, and his fraternity duties, he hardly has time for much else, though he tries for a social life. It's pretty hard not to have one in a fraternity, as a lot of times it's mandatory to come to a lot of the parties and things. Though this isn't necessarily his forte, he's a naturally outgoing person and enjoys meeting new people when he's not studying for tests and classes.
Jeremy's Major is Magical Creature Care, which is much more challenging than one might think. Though it can sound like taking care of sweet animals, one might be surprised at what beasts can come out of this area of expertise. Every week Jeremy is challenged with a new creature to research and sometimes even take care of in his dorm room.
History:
Jeremy comes from two loving, yet clueless parents. Though they've given him and his sister all they could ever need, they're often out of town on business trips as both are very high up in the ranks of two different wizarding companies. They're quite the power couple, and when they're home, they're great parents! Unfortunately, they're hardly home enough to parent and it's often Jeremy that takes care of his little sister. Now that he's off to university, his younger sister Serenity often sends him letters or comes to visit on the weekend if she needs to talk to her older brother. They're actually a very close knit sibling pair, and the hardest thing about attending university for Jeremy was leaving his little sister behind.
Other:
Jeremy has no pets, surprisingly. Though the Frat House does allow them to, Jeremy was instructed not to get one by the Professors high up in his major, as they explained that he might be taking home lots of strange animals to take care of and the worst thing one could face was an eaten owl or something of the sort. You could never know what these exotic creatures might eat. Another surprising thing is that Jeremy's never had a pet in his life. Most would think that an animal lover like Jeremy would've had plenty of pets, but his parents really can't stand them.

He is usually not a risk taker but he can be persuaded to do things he wouldn’t normally do. Freddie is self-confident, warm, ardent, jovial, imaginative, caring and intelligent. He is a bit outspoken but has tact in overflow to know when he should keep things to himself.
Freddie has a long fuse and usually has a knack for avoiding useless fights and arguments but it if you push the right/wrong buttons enough times even he can explode. On the negative side he is very stubborn and enjoys teasing people. Freddie usually teases for fun not for bad things but it depends on how you take it. His number one passions are animals and creatures of all shapes and sizes which is why he is pursuing a magical veterinarian career. He likes doing guy stuff like playing quidditch, talking about girls or setting up the latest school prank. In class he is a good attentive student who usually is nicknamed the teacher’s pet for his high grades, knowledge borderline on know it all and overall behaviour.
Outside of class though he is less strict and more easy-going, getting to know knew people and especially girls are always something he wouldn’t mind losing a few study hours over if he thought it was worthwhile and the same goes for his closest friends. If they were in a bind or need someone to talk to then Freddie would be there.

Appearance: Harlem is 6 feet tall with a wiry, muscular build. His arms and legs are thin but rippled with muscles. He takes pride in his appearance and works hard to maintain it. His nails are cut short and keep impeccably clean. Harlem's hair is cut short to his head thought you will never see it because he wears a fitted muggle cap all the time. He has light brown eyes almost hazel and long eyelashes that sweep his cheeks as he blinks.
Family History: Harlem's father, Kazem was the Kuwaiti ambassador to the United States and his mother, Belinda, was a judge on the United States Ministry Wizengamot. His parents met by chance when Belinda complained to the waitress at Tavern on the Green that Kazem had come in after her but was seated before she was. His father offered to share the table with her and the two spent almost 3 hours at lunch. They dated for a few months splitting their time between Kuwait and New York.
They were married 2 years later. And a year after that Harlem was born. He is an only child as his mother had a terrible miscarriage. Harlem was an easy child becoming independent and refusing to be carried as soon as his little legs could walk. His mother finally came clean about her magical heritage, and his father took it as a shock. His deeply religious beliefs wouldn't allow him to believe in witchcraft. He abandoned the family and Harlem and his mom were on their own.
His mother filled the home with happy memories for Harlem, and he never missed his father or having siblings as he went to a magical daycare. They weren't rich, but the family was middle class so they were able to take vacations every summer. Along the way Harlem learned French and Arabic. He had everything he ever wanted or asked for and was spoiled rotten and raised with a arrogant attitude about who he was. His mom didn't expose him to the muggle world, other than the fashion, out of anger at her husband for leaving them and once Harlem found out about the absence of his father he agreed with his mother. He was a wizard.
His mother was promoted to the Undersecetary for the U.S. Minister of Magic when he turned 13. And the family moved from Manhattan to D.C. At the age of 16 he learned that his father had died in a car bombing in the Gaza Strip. Going to the funeral because his mother needed the moral support he learned of his half sister Fatima. She was just 15 at the time. Harlem resented her for growing up with the love of his father and for a while he refused to speak to her though she tried and tried to form a relationship with him. To this day he keeps returning her letters.
Personality: Harlem is a quite person with a very arrogant flare. He thinks he knows everything and never misses a chance to show off his smarts. He has a bad habit of talking down to people thinking all people are stupid. He has a sarcastic sense of humor that sometimes can get him into trouble but he can usual charm his way out of it. He is very active his favorite sport being gobstones. Its a game of intelligence and strategy. He has a fear of flying and has avoided the class and Quidditch all together. He's a tough guy to know liking to keep to himself but once he opens up he is a total sweet heart.
Harlem still has father issues and as a result doesn't follow the authority of his male teachers very well.

Appearance: Maxxie has quite a strong build, he was heavily involved in wizarding sports during his time at Hogwarts, and hence this has allows for him to have defined muscles. He has messy dark blonde hair, that he normally straightens. He generally dresses rather casually, jeans mixed with a sweater, and he doesn’t particularly care about his appearance that much.
Personality: Maxxie is pretty much a jerk. All he generally cares about is himself, and he makes this very clear with anyone he meets. Everything he does has to have a positive outcome for him. He generally tends to just care about himself and not anyone else, and anyone who can change that will have a big influence upon Maxxie’s life. He cares a lot about his studies, mainly above anything else. She is totally different to his twin sister, almost like they split the nice and jerk genes, and he got all the ones for being a jerk
History: Mid-October, and Katia Damper is in hospital after giving birth to her twin children, Felicity and Maximus. The father of the family, Freddie Damper, is off working in Australia. He is an Auror, and something went down over there while his wife was in labour. Pretty much, he missed the birth of his two and only children.
11:42am, Felicity is born.
11:53am, Maximus is born.
Upon return to the family house in Cornwall, the twins were spoilt, as much expected of newborns. They were brought the most expensive things through out their childhood. Having the 'twin-connection' they youngsters claimed to have, they were inseperable until they started junior school. And only then, did the two start to develop social lives, friends, personalities and hobbies. Only then did they start to walk past each other in the hallway at home with nothing more than a mumble of 'hey'. Only then did they start avoiding conversations with their sibling.
Once the time came that both got their Hogwarts letters, and got sorted they were split up indefinately. Maxxie into Ravenclaw and Fliss into Hufflepuff. Throughout the seven years, the love for the other twin has certainly disapparated and Maxxie turned into a total jerk, Fliss however just stuck to her studies and her social life. The occasional argument over Christmas dinner happened, but most of the sibling rivalry (mainly for their parents affection) kept to the hallway separating their bedrooms.
When the chance for the pair to head off to Wenlock, their parents were thrilled. Perhaps this could have been the thing that could bring the siblings closer together again. Alas, their first year brought them to talking terms. But Fliss was more dependent on her brother than either of them had thought, and she decided withing the first few months, it was her sisterly duty to annoy him with his birth name. That only his parents called him. Oh, and stealing his music collection worked well. He does not approve or like this in the slightest.

He is very active his favorite sport being gobstones. Its a game of intelligence and strategy. He has a fear of flying and has avoided the class and Quidditch all together. He's a tough guy to know liking to keep to himself but once he opens up he is a total sweet heart.

He cares a lot about his studies, mainly above anything else. She is totally different to his twin sister, almost like they split the nice and jerk genes, and he got all the ones for being a jerk
History: Mid-October, and Katia Damper is in hospital after giving birth to her twin children, Felicity and Maximus. The father of the family, Freddie Damper, is off working in Australia. He is an Auror, and something went down over there while his wife was in labour. Pretty much, he missed the birth of his two and only children.
11:42am, Felicity is born.
11:53am, Maximus is born.
Upon return to the family house in Cornwall, the twins were spoilt, as much expected of newborns. They were brought the most expensive things through out their childhood. Having the 'twin-connection' they youngsters claimed to have, they were inseperable until they started junior school. And only then, did the two start to develop social lives, friends, personalities and hobbies. Only then did they start to walk past each other in the hallway at home with nothing more than a mumble of 'hey'. Only then did they start avoiding conversations with their sibling.
Once the time came that both got their Hogwarts letters, and got sorted they were split up indefinately. Maxxie into Ravenclaw and Fliss into Hufflepuff. Throughout the seven years, the love for the other twin has certainly disapparated and Maxxie turned into a total jerk, Fliss however just stuck to her studies and her social life. The occasional argument over Christmas dinner happened, but most of the sibling rivalry (mainly for their parents affection) kept to the hallway separating their bedrooms.
When the chance for the pair to head off to Wenlock, their parents were thrilled. Perhaps this could have been the thing that could bring the siblings closer together again. Alas, their first year brought them to talking terms. But Fliss was more dependent on her brother than either of them had thought, and she decided withing the first few months, it was her sisterly duty to annoy him with his birth name. That only his parents called him. Oh, and stealing his music collection worked well. He does not approve or like this in the slightest.

Personality: The fact that he is of pureblood heritage - or at least up to a certain point thougt he was - and comes from an extremely wealthy family does have the tendency to make a spoilt little brat of a nice (*cough*) litte boy. So not his fault. It's just...inevitable.
Being as vain as somebody can be Joseph spends almost two hours making his hair even more perfect than it already is every morning. To get the girl's to notice the golden-ish glint of his blonde hair even more, of course. Not that he needed them to, just, you know, to not lose his womanizer-image. A man could never have enough fangirls.
After he discovered his true heritage Joseph has become even more paranoid and jumpy than he used to be, completely freaked out that somebody would find out about his little lie. Oh, and one last thing, don't talk too fast or use too many intellectual words. His somewhat small brain might not be able to take it.
Family/History: The story of Joseph's parents, Marie Kelltner and August Stauffen, is the perfect fairy tale love story. Boy meets girl. Boy likes girl. Girl likes boy. Girl gets pregnant. Only the "and they lived happily ever after" part never really happened. Right before the already thoroughly planned wedding Marie Kelltner confesses to her fiancé that her parents are not - as she had been claiming all along - pureblood, and neither are they wizards. They are Muggles. Both of them.
The shock of being lied to - it was a mortal sin to lie to a Stauffen! - added to the disgust of almost marrying a Muggleborn witch, drove August away from his fiancée, taking their son, Joseph, with him. Certainly, the wedding was cancelled, and after some time people slowly started to forget about the disgrace August Stauffen had almost brought onto his family. August married Valentina Rausters who, just like him, came from a wealthy pureblood household. With her he had three more children, the twins Victoire and Didier and their youngest currently 5-year-old Paul.
Until Joseph's 14th birthday August and Valentina Stauffen managed to have everybody, including Joseph himself, believe that he was indeed Valentina's son and therefore, of course, a true pureblood Stauffen. However, on the day of Joseph's 14 birthday his true mother, Marie Kelltner, somehow managed to get a hold of him during a shopping trip in London. It was that day that turned Joseph's world upside down. Completely confused he returned home to immediately confront his parents about it. They, seeing no other way out of it, feel themselves forced to tell their son the true story of his heritage.
Not that any of his friends and admirers know any of this story. ^
Other: Don't even dare to go near to Joseph's pet ferret Master Jo(no, so not vain )! Should you touch him without Joseph's permission...well, you don't want to know the end of that.

After that he served as a part-time healer in St. Mungo's while he worked part time in the Ministry of Magic as part of the Wizengamot.
There he was discovered having what it takes of becoming an Auror and he started training. He became famous in the academy because he excelled in all aspects of training, especially in disguise.
He worked as an auror for 5 years. He was then given an opportunity in this University, where he will teach his favorite subject, DADA.

We're starting off at around noon time, after the kids have had their first class. So most people should be getting out of class now and the teachers should be on a lunch break or something.

Class felt too long that morning. It was rush week next week and most of Jill's classmates had spent large part of the class chatting about it, making it rather difficult for the girl to concentrate on what the professor was saying. Jill didn't like this whole idea of sororities and fraternities, everyone knew the only thing those kids usually cared about was partying. However, it would look good when graduation time came around, to have been part of a sorority. Jillian sighed as she made her way out of class and into the halls which were a lot emptier than what she was used to back in her old school, with people having different schedules and all.
As she made her way through campus, she glanced around for any familiar faces. Classes had only started a month ago and there were very few people the young girl had come to meet in this short amount of time. Two of them being, obviously, her roommates - Dusty and Layla. They weren't much like the girls Jill was used to hanging out with, but she had grown to quite enjoy their company these past few weeks. Dusty was nice and sweet, never caused anyone any trouble, and Layla had the best French accent Jill had ever heard, how could she not like that? But it was still very early on in the year, so Jill couldn't really call these girls her closest friends yet. But they were the closest thing she had to friends at the moment.
She was also familiar with a few other freshmen she'd had some classes with, including Keira, who seemed like a friendly girl; Faris, who seemed like a pretty laid-back guy; Onyx, who Jill couldn't fit into any stereotypes yet; Harlem, who seemed a bit arrogant but whose sarcastic sense of humor the girl found rather amusing; amongst others. And then there were the sophomores… some seemed really nice, like Mya Pallas - who Jill was hoping to find some time this week to ask her about the Delta Zeta sorority. Alpha Pi Deta seemed like a good sorority too, and she liked the fact that one of her roommates was part of it, but she wasn't too thrilled about the idea of being in a sorority ruled by one certain Miss Rosalind Archibald. It had only been a month but Jill could already tell that girl would be a little difficult to get used to. And so, with all these thoughts in mind, Jill strolled through campus in the direction of the dormitories, receiving a few flyers and other papers regarding rush week and the times some sororities and fraternities would start interviewing the freshmen who wanted to join.
Oliver was one of those students who was feeling rather excited about rush week, though he didn't let it interfere with his studies and kept his focus on the professor throughout the whole class, ever the attentive student. But he was quite looking forward to meeting some new freshmen and potential future members of Sigma Mu Eta... though to be honest, what had him the most excited was initiation. He was really looking forward to that.
But first things first. He had to get this letter - the one he was carrying neatly folded in an envelope in his left hand - to his little sister. He passed by Jill on his way over to the university's postal office. He made sure to bring some treats with him this time, as last time he'd forgotten to do so, the owl sending his letter nearly bit his fingers off before flying away into the cool English air. Once done with that, he would hopefully get some lunch before his next class and meet up with either Syler or Maximus to discuss ideas of a start-of-term party for their fraternity, and perhaps invite some sororities over as well; it was the beginning of a new year, and they had to celebrate somehow, right?

Layla had finished her Auror training classes for the morning. She loved her life here. It was fun, exiting and her classes were amazing. But the best time in college. Well that would be in between classes when you get to socialize with others. Layla shared a dorm with two other girls. Being a sophomore she had been here for a year already and was so glad to be able to pass her knowledge down onto her two younger roomates, Jill and Dusty. Layla was half french and spoke in fluent french or British with a french accent. She had been living down in Dorset for along while however due to the fact her grandparents were British. Originally Layla had attended a French private witch academy and was taught in French and English. Finally she now had the opportunity to be taught some of the English schooling ways from her younger roomates. After all they had attended these schools.
Layla loved being part of the sorority. It made her feel like she belonged in the University. Bearing in mind she was French, she felt very welcomed within that sorority. The girls were always so nice. She was looking foward to the new Freshmans applying to become part of their sorority.
Walking down the corridor after classes Layla found one ofher roomates. "Hello Jill" she said in her French accent. "How were classes this morning?"
