| | | ••KA: RPotW•• ->Wenlock University
HAIIII, I'm Dee!
Alrighty, so I was discussing this idea with the awesome people at The Shh/TP, and everyone seemed to like it so I decided to give it a try! Plot:
What happens to the many witches and wizards who attend Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, and all the other wizarding schools of Europe (and the rest of the world too, I guess) after they graduate?
According to HPL, nothing. (Thanks RaRaRachieee for looking that up. )
But that's no fun. College is one of the most exciting times of your life (or it's supposed to be, anyway. Lol)!
So, why not start up a university just for witches and wizards around the world? This isn't going to be the first university ever, in this RP universities are as normal to every witch's and wizard's life as it is to us muggles; nothing out of this world.
Wenlock University, founded in 1479 in honor of the popular witch Bridget Wenlock, is one of the largest magical universities in London, and it's well-known for its high standards and notable alumni. This is where our RP will be taking place, where a large group of students coming from different wizarding schools all around the world will meet each other for the first time (or not, perhaps some of them had already attended school together), and together enjoy some of the best years of their lives - there's still exams, and classes, and that stress that came with their first schools, but there's also a lot more freedom. You get to choose what classes you're going to take, when they'll start, how many days a week you'll go; there's no such thing as "detention" anymore, you're free to walk out of class whenever you want; and there's no nagging parents waiting to scold you for getting home at five in the morning. You're in dorms, there's no parents to give you rules! You're finally… an adult.
What you do with your time is entirely up to you; whether you do your homework or attend class is, again, up to you. You don't have to eat your vegetables anymore, and no nagging teachers will take House points away from you if you wander around past curfew. There is no curfew. But you still get to have the fun of joining sports teams if you like, and this time the matches aren't friendly little games between Houses - you play against other Universities now, against people who are seriously considering these sports to be their career. If sports are not for you, you can always join sororities or fraternities - as long as you make it past initiation.
So what will become of your characters once they begin living "the college student lifestyle"?
Some kids might go wild, they can't handle so much freedom. Will they go to class only once a week, take only two classes per semester and spend the rest of their free time playing Quidditch, partying, and chasing after girls until three the next morning?
Or will they continue with their goody-two-shoes personality? Take three times more classes than the average student, spend weekends locked up in their dorms studying?
Perhaps.
Or perhaps, some people will change… the nerdy girl will suddenly become the one everyone looks up to as the most beautiful, the most charming? Will the typical jock with his perfect grades and amazing Quidditch skills become a failure, too lazy to attend his classes and suddenly shunned by his classmates?
Who knows!
What your charries do in college, who they socialize with, what cliques they join, how they spend their weekends, how they perform in classes, everything is entirely up to you. Make them kings and queens, or make them failures. It's up to you. =]
______________________________
So, the RP is obviously about kids attending the same wizarding university.
The layout for this school will be the same as any other muggle college or university, the only difference would obviously be their majors and classes which would have to match something kids in the wizarding world would take, obviously. Some Must-Knows- All the kids in the RP should be either in their freshman or sophomore year. No seniors about to graduate or anything, please.
- There will be two students per dorm room.
- Roommates must be girl-girl or boy-boy (bahaha, no, you don't get that much freedom yet!)
- Your character's class schedule is entirely up to you. It would be nice to have at least some charries with similar schedules so they can attend a class together and have a bit of it RPed out, though not the whole thing.
- If your character is a sophomore, he or she may already be part of a fraternity or sorority, and he or she may help come up with the evil tasks they'll have the freshies do as part of initiation into their frats/sororities.
- Characters are not limited to just students - you can RP a sports coach, a professor, anything you want.
- Since this is a university, not everyone will be native to its location (which would be England, I suppose). Your charrie may be an international student, if you want them to be.
- Since we're starting up a whole new school from scratch here, it would be a LOT of work and too much info at once to give you guys like a whole layout of the school's buildings and classes and this and that, so you may make that up as you go along.
- Be crazy, have your charries perform wild stunts, get them in trouble, put them in unlikely situations, just add on to the plot to keep it fun!
- If you guys have plans with someone else about dorming your charries together, just add in your bio something like: "Roommate: Bob Smith." If you don't have a roomie yet, we'll randomly mix the charries up together; aaaand if your charrie just doesn't want any roommates at all, he or she may have a single dorm room for themselves (just make sure to clarify that in your bio.)
- We'll be starting the RP about a month after the first day of classes, so everyone should be at least a little familiar with each other.
______________________________
Alright, so I'm pretty sure that's probably kind of vague, but I tried my best! If you have any questions, just ask!
There's no limit as to how many characters you can have, or how many the RP will have as a whole. The more the better! Though let's try to keep the boy/girl ratio even. Character List: Students: Girls:

Alrighty, guys! So… I'm kinda dumb. Turns out there's no sororities or frats in English universities, or they go by another name, I'm not sure. Either way, it's too late to move the school to the US now, soooo… uh… here's a Wiki page on what sororities and frats are?
But since this is just an RP not a REAL univ. and stuff, we're just focusing on the putting-freshmen-through-difficult-tasks and hardcore-partying parts of being in sororities or fraternities.
So!
The RP shall have four main sororities and fraternities (there are obviously many more around the school than these, but these will be the ones our charries will be a part of so everyone's connected somehow): Sororities: Alpha Pi Deta (AΠΔ)

Faris stood frozen, not sure of how to react to the two loonies. Strike that; three loonies if you counted Jill. He cleared his throat rather uncomfortably, tugging at the collar of his light-colored tee shirt as he gave Jill a bemused glance. Had Sir Winston already begun to rub off on her? She seemed to enjoy his presence well enough. It was true that he was hilariously snobby, but he wasn't that comical. Winston was a bit too much on the psychotic side of the spectrum to be considered the class clown. "Actually, we we're looking for Oliver and Layla..." He trailed off, tugging at Jill to follow him back downstairs. Being near crazed frat boys would be welcome compared to the presence of these two crazies. "Oh, dah-ling!" Taylor swooned over Sir Winston, planting a hard kiss on his forehead before pulling back, a rosy pink flush having crept over her otherwise pale face. She had left a mark on his forehead as some residue from her red lipstick remained on his face, but no matter. Taylor had marked her territory. "I was just telling these unworthy freshmen that they had no business being in the frat house. But they wouldn't listen." She crossed her arms rather tightly over her chest, pouting as she began to stomp a sharp-heeled foot on the ground. "Make them leave, Winnie!" She whined, her eyes wide as she attempted to force her tear ducts to act on cue. |

Jillian rolled her eyes as Faris corrected that they were looking for Oliver and Layla rather than Winston, pulling her arm back as he began to tug at her to follow him back downstairs. No way! They'd finally gotten to that loony Winston, there was no way she was leaving now! Especially with Taylor around, these two were just simply far too amusing to let them be just yet.
However, it seemed that the feeling was not mutual. Rather than amusing, Winston found the two freshmen to be the most annoying and embarrassing thing he had ever set eyes on, and he was quite eager to get them out of his precious fraternity house, a little panicked that they will disgrace the name of Sigma Mu Eta with their cheap clothes and out-of-style hairdos. "Sir Winston believes you did well to kick these mongrels out, Tay-Tay," said the white-blonde boy. Jillian rolled her eyes at the ridiculous pair. "Now, stop disgracing the most popular and important frat house in all of Wenlock with your presence, freshmen, or Sir Winston will be forced to use his wand on you. And trust he when he says he is no more willing to do this than you are - it's a disgrace in itself to award you a glance at Sir Winston's wand, it was handmade by the giants in India with the most valuable and expensive woods in the worl--"
"What's going on here?" asked Oliver as he and Layla suddenly came to sight, having heard Taylor's nasal voice echoing down the hall and then Winston's nonsense ramblings. The young man's eyebrows rose slightly at the sight of Jillian and Faris before turning to Taylor, his brows now furrowing. "Shouldn't you be in school, Taylor?" he asked. And by school he meant grade school, not the university. Taylor was, after all, too young to be a university student.

Faris was a bit anxious as Winston took out his wand. Was the loony prone to violence as well? Faris was fairly sure that he could defend himself against the small sir, but he was a bit afraid for Jill. She was a tough cookie, but Faris had been raised to protect women and children against practically anything that portended danger. "Jill," He squeaked, "Come on, now. We don't need this." He tugged at her arm rather firmly as he attempted to make his way down the stairs. But he stopped once he saw Oliver and Layla arrive. "Thank Merlin!" He sighed with relief, turning back to Taylor and Sir Winston with a small smirk on his thin lips. Taylor had placed her hands on her hips rather proudly, her painted lips pursed with satisfaction as Sir Winston had obeyed her command. "That's my boo," She squealed, her eyes lighting up like a child in a candy shop. Her smile fell as she saw Oliver and Layla, two upperclassmen that she was acquainted with. Seeing them struck a bit of fear into her heart, but she remained composed for the sake of her reputation. She wouldn't have these ragged freshmen see her publicly crumple. "Erm," Taylor cleared her throat, standing up straight as she placed a hand firmly on Sir Winston's shoulder, "I have no clue what you're insinuating. We were just teaching these two unworthy freshmen a lesson." |

ooc: "That's my boo"
HAHAHAHHAA!!
Jillian merely pulled her arm back as Faris insisted on dragging her downstairs with him, her light-brown-eyed gaze fixed firmly on those cold gray eyes of little Mr. 'Sir Winston' and his pale girlfriend with the ridiculously saturated red lipstick. She was distracted from them, though, as two familiar upperclassmen arrived, and immediately a more kind and friendly smile took over her expression. "We've been looking for you!" she said to Oliver and Layla, momentarily forgetting all about Winston and his girlfriend.
Oliver listened as Taylor very simply informed him that she had no clue what he was insinuating, that she and Winston were just trying to teach the two 'unworthy freshmen' a lesson. "That's not very nice, Taylor," said the boy, in a tone that left you thinking he was talking to a child. But Taylor was a lot younger, and even more immature than she was younger, so therefore Oliver just saw her as more of an overgrown rebellious child. "You guys wanna go head outside for a bit?" he asked, turning back to Jillian and Faris, flashing them both a polite smile.

Faris smiled with relief, giving Oliver a rather thankful nod as he answered. "Of course, Oliver. Let's go," And with that, he began tugging Jill down the stairs and towards the front door, not desiring to put up with her nonsense this time. Faris didn't glance towards the lunatics as he descended the stairs. If he had, he would have noticed the uncomfortable expression that lay on Taylor's thin face and the way that she began to fidget around. "He really saved us back there," Faris told Jill, exhaling with relief as he felt a weight lift off his shoulders. "I was beginning to think that we might be stuck up there for a little while." "It's... it's..." Taylor struggled to find her voice, "It's more than nice, Oliver." Taylor attempted to speak harshly to Oliver but she couldn't muster the nerve. Upperclassmen such as he and Layla scared her to no end; this was why she had only ever been able to befriend Sir Winston. She licked her lips nervously as she tried to maintain her tough stance. "Winnie," She whispered, "Make the older people go 'way." She whined under her breath, beginning to speak like to toddler. "Big people go 'way now!" |

"Hey!" Jillian complained as Faris began to drag her down the stairs without her consent, and though she tried to pull back just as she'd been doing before, it seemed the Italian boy was having none of it this time, and before Jillian could really scheme a plan to run back up the stairs, they were already at the front door. "'Saved us'?!" repeated Jillian as Faris mentioned that they'd just been saved, that he was thinking they might be stuck up there for a while. "Save us from what?! I'll have you know, I am not scared of Winston or his little corpse-bride girlfriend! I didn't need saving of any sort!" she said proudly and stubbornly, as was very usual of someone as proud as Jillian.
"Right, yes, of course, darling," muttered Sir Winston as Taylor began to whine, asking him to make the 'big people' go away. "Sir Winston and Lady Momsen here were in the middle of something rather important, Catherwood," he told Oliver, who merely rose his eyebrows just very slightly at the shorter boy, almost looking bored with the sight of him. But having grown to Winston, Oliver was no longer amused or bothered or affected in any way by the shorter boy's behaviour. "Your presence is not needed at this mom--"
"Just make sure the head of the fraternity doesn't catch you here, it'll get all of us in trouble to have underage girls in the house," Oliver told Taylor, completely ignoring Sir winston before he began to head down the stairs and disappeared from sight.

Faris ignored her complaints and stopped dragging her along as soon as they reached the porch. "Well, I'm sorry for not wanting to be stuck with a bunch of loonies all day long," Faris crossed his arms over his chest rather defiantly. "I thought Winston was bad enough, but it turns out that pale Americans are much, much worse." He shuddered at the thought of the underage, conceited female. Evil took new form in the bodies of Sir Winston and Taylor Momsen. "I think Oliver and Layla would agree." He added, waiting for the pair to come strolling out any minute. Taylor was shocked as Oliver interrupted her boyfriend but didn't dare utter a word, knowing that Oliver would refute her immediately. Her jaw dropped at the indignance that was shown to Winston. Her long nails dug into Winston's shoulder as Oliver made an indirect swipe at her, indicating her young age. As soon as Oliver left, Taylor resumed her former composure and began pulling Winston back towards the room. "Don't worry about them, dah-ling," She enunciated, her brow knitting with irritation as she almost tripped over the doorframe. "Come, continue your story about last summer. Then I can help you with your guy-liner, sweetheart." And just as a pistol was whipped out of it's holster, Taylors hand whipped into the space between her belt and her clothes to reveal a very long black pencil, sharpened to the tip. She twirled the stick of eyeliner between her fingers expertly. |

"No, actually, I'm sure Oliver and Layla would not agree because they're not scared of loonies like Sir Winston and Corpse Bride like you are!" said Jillian, crossing her arms as well and narrowing her light brown eyes slightly at the boy before her, once again her manners very childlike and immature. "All I was going to do was share the good news that you're going to be rushing Sigma Mu Eta!" said the girl.
It was then that Oliver (with Layla, I'm assuming) walked out. "You two alright there?" asked the boy, well aware that even if Winston and Taylor didn't necessarily bother him, new students and freshmen could easily be intimidated or grow irritated with these two unusual characters. And he couldn't help feeling a little bad to have left them all alone earlier, to suffer of the loonies' presence by themselves.
"We'll survive," muttered Jillian sarcastically. "Anyway, we were actually looking for you two," she added, suddenly grinning and looking quite cheery, as if she was about to share the best of news. "Guess who has decided to rush Sigma Mu Eta?!" she asked, an almost talk-show-host enthusiasm in her voice. Oliver's eyebrows rose slightly and he turned his gaze to Faris then, just as Jillian continued, "Why, none other than Mr. Patino himself!" she announced. "Isn't this great?!"
Oliver chuckled softly with amusement at Jill's enthusiasm. "Well, congratulations on choosing a fraternity, Faris," he told the boy politely. "I'm glad Winston and Taylor didn't scare you off, they tend to do that often."

Faris snorted, shaking his head as he turned away from Jillian and her childlike behavior. He knew that she was at least partially right, but Faris ultimately preferred not to waste his precious breath and precious time on Sir Winston and Taylor types. He loosened up a bit when Oliver appeared with Layla (I assume) at his side, waiting to hear the story of how Taylor and Winston had been told off. But no such whimsical story came as Jillian launched into full-on hyperactive mode.
"Don't get ahead of yourself," He mumbled, attemping to smile ever so slightly. Turning to the two older students, he began, "I said that it was a slight possibility, but Jill here went with the idea and ran with it." He threw Jill a smirk before he continued on, "But I guess if more people such as yourself belong to this fraternity, it wouldn't be such a terrible idea after all."

Jillian rolled her eyes as Faris explained that he had only said it was a possibility that he join the fraternity, that she just happened to go with the idea and run with it. "He will join!" she said determinedly from somewhere in the background.
Oliver couldn't help but chuckle softly at the two amusing freshmen. "Well, if you do decide to rush, then I'll be more than happy to put in a good word for you with the other fraternity brothers," said the boy. "Besides, Sigma Mu Eta isn't that bad. It's one of the best fraternities in London, we just have a couple loonies like Winston, but I promise he gets less annoying with time," he assured Faris, giving an amused smile just at the thought of Winston. He remembered the snobby boy back from his freshman days, so he could understand the other two's shock when first meeting him.
"Good! Then it's decided! Oliver will make sure you get in and you'll rush Sigma Mu Eta," Jillian decided, obviously not about to take no for an answer.

Faris didn't bother answering Jillian, knowing that whatever else came out of her mouth would simple unnerve him to no end. She could think what she wanted to; Faris's actions were more important that his words, anyways. "I'll think about it and get back to you," He smiled at Oliver, thankful for his kindness. It was nice to have met some upperclassmen during his short month at the university. If not for some of the older students, he might have fallen behind socially and academically without any hope for recovery.
Turning to Jill, a rather cheeky grin formed on his thin lips before he began, "I'm just curious as to why you're so bound and determined to get me into this... this frat?" He spoke the last word with a thick accent, a word that he wasn't too accustomed to using. "Do you care about me that much? Or," He contained his chuckles for a moment, "do you want to spend more time near dearest Sir Winston? I'm thinking you like him for more than just the laughs."

Oliver smiled and gave a brief nod as Faris decided he'd think about this whole rushing deal a bit more and get back to him eventually. It was then that he turned to Jillian, who listened with slightly raised eyebrows as he asked why she was so bound and determined on getting him into the frat. But before the young girl could reply to that, he had continued, asking if she honestly cared about him that much. "Of course!" replied Jillian immediately; but what better way to get someone to do something than to assure them you're only making them do it because you care for them!? MWAHA. It was a good plan! If she convinced Faris that this was all for his own good, all out of her own good will, then he would without a doubt rush Sigm-- "What?!" Those words that followed his last question left the girl wide-eyed, completely horrified just with the thought of falling for some baboon like Sir Winston. "I will not be used for your amusement and cruel jokes, Patino!" she said, furrowing her brows disapprovingly at him. "The only reason I want you to join this fraternity is so that you can rub it on that git's face, who is he to think he's so high and mighty and no one else can join his frat?! This has become personal now!" she said rather animatedly, like a politician giving a speech, until she remembered she was supposed to convince Faris that this was for his own good, that she was doing it because she was looking out for him. Oh, oops… "Uh--uh, and-- and because I deeply care about you, too! You're my best friend, Faris! I want you to do well not only academically but socially as well, and what better way to do so than to join a frat?!" she quickly added, compassion suddenly taking over her once stubborn and determined features. She was a surprisingly good actress.

Faris simply shook his head, checking his watch before turning to Oliver and Layla. "Thanks again," He smiled apologetically, "But I believe we must be getting back. I've got some magizoology coursework to catch up on. I'll let you know what I decide later, Oliver. Ciao!" And with a parting wave to them both, Faris descended the stairs of the portico, motioning for Jill to come along as the setting sun lit the path back to the dorms for them. "You coming?" He asked his loony best friend as he began to walk away, stuffing his hands into the pockets of his trousers as a breeze came their way, blowing the long bangs from his face. Faris treaded slowly along the dirt path, waiting for Jillian to catch up.
--------------------------------------------------
Faris yawned, stretching his arms as he woke bright and early. It had been about two weeks since rush week and Faris had been delaying his decision about joining Sigma Mu Eta. Oliver was really a nice chap and Faris had believed him when he said that there were sane people in his fraternity, but all of the intelligent, polite people in the world would have a tough time getting Faris Patino to join the fraternity that snobby Sir Winston belonged to. Faris scratched the small bit of black stubble on his chin that he had been attempting to grow for a while now, looking about the dim dorm as sunlight filtered through the curtained window. His other two roommates were asleep, both buried under their covers on their respective mattresses. Wanting to keep quiet, Faris tossed off his sheets and padded softly across the hardwood floor towards the bathroom. It was the morning of the school camping trip, open to all professors and all students, and Faris knew that Jillian would be barging down the door bright and early.

Jillian was up quite bright and early that morning, which was a bit unusual as she wasn't necessarily an early bird. However, when there was something to attend and she was excited, she always made sure to wake up hours earlier than necessary as excitement can sometimes literally make it difficult for the girl to stay asleep throughout the night. And today was a very special day, one she had been waiting for for weeks. Camping triiiiiiip! It was all that echoed in the girl's head that morning as she sat up from bed, the sun just beginning to rise over the horizon through the dorm's window.
Hopping up from her bed, Jillian disappeared into the bathroom for about half an hour, taking a long warm shower and changing into her favourite pair of ripped jeans and a t-shirt as bright and yellow as her personality, along with a pair of torn and rather beat-up Converse sneakers. But Jillian had never been a fashion guru and neither did she plan to start being one now, she usually just went for whatever was comfortable. The girl then gathered her things quietly, not wanting to disturb Layla from her peaceful slumber, and then very carefully tip-toed her way out of the dorm. She made the short trip over to Faris' dormitory then, which was only a floor away from her own, and banged obnoxiously on the door. "PATINO! I HOPE YOU'RE UP, WE'RE GOING CAMPING TODAY!" she called through the wooden door, receiving groggily annoyed looks from the sleepy students wandering the halls who were just waking up then.

Faris jumped, nearly swallowing his mouthful of toothpaste and spit as he stood in front of the bathroom mirror. He knew that he should have been used to Jill's loud behavior by now, but she never failed to make him jump, cover his ears, run for cover, et cetera. Quickly hacking up a bit of waste from his throat and spitting out what was left, he rinsed his mouth quite quickly and ran to open the door. "Good morning to you, too," Faris rose an eyebrow as the girl seemed to be bouncing on the balls of her feet with excitement. Opening the door a bit wider, Faris made his way back to the bathroom, grabbing his clothes from his dresser. "Wait a second, earlybird." He commanded, "I need a little more time. What time do we have to meet with everyone, again?" He asked, calling out a bit louder as he had made his way into the bathroom.

Jillian grinned brightly as Faris opened the door to his dormitory, not waiting for an invitation before making her way past him and into the room as if it was her own. "No time for good mornings, Patino!" she said in an almost business-like manner. "We need to get going! At this rate we're going to be arriving there when everyone's already going to sleep!" she complained, her brows furrowing disapprovingly at the idea of being late to the camp-out. The young girl watched as Faris then disappeared into the bathroom, asking her to wait a second, that he needed a little more time. Boys! Why did they always have to take so long!? (Irony at its best). "The Professor said we all had to meet at eight," said Jillian. It was 6:30.

"But everyone's still asleep, genius," Faris smirked at his own defiance as he pulled a broken comb through his dark bedhead. "Can't we be fashionably late? I thought girls liked that kind of thing." After becoming more accustomed to the ways of the English, Faris had learned that many popular people that attended parties were always about an hour or so late, using the phrase "fashionably late" as an excuse for their tardiness. Unlike at home in Sicily, it was seen as a virtue for people to arrive at the middle of a celebration. Back in the motherland, Faris and others saw people who were at least an hour or two early as the so-called cool ones, not the ragazzos and ragazzas who showed up whenever they pleased. Tossing his comb onto the porcelain sink, Faris proceeded to contiue with his morning routine. Taking a moment, he careuflly examined the small, prized bit of stubble on his chin, stroking it a few times. Maybe one day it would become a full-fledged beard, like papa's back home.

Jillian's jaw dropped as Faris reminded her that everyone was still asleep, going on to sarcastically refer to the girl as a 'genius'. "Well, aren't you sharp-tongued this morning?!" said the girl, though she couldn't help being mildly amused. She then proceeded to take a seat on the edge of the boy's bed, the only empty bed in the room, as he continued getting ready in the bathroom. It was then that the Italian boy asked if they could just be 'fashionably late', that he thought girls liked that kind of thing. Jill rolled her eyes. "I thought you'd realized by now, Patino, I'm not a girl."
Jill's eyes widened. Whoaaaa, whoa, whoa, wait-- that didn't come out right! "I--I mean-- I'm not like most girls! I'm not… an average girl!" she quickly explained, her cheeks beginning to turn just the lightest shade of pink. Well, that had been kind of embarrassing. "Anyway," she quickly added, quick to change the subject. "I refuse to be late! I want to be the first one there and claim a good spot. Besides, I'd like to get there before Sir Winston and Corpse Bride, just to rub it in their faces."

Faris began to chuckle as Jillian mentioned his quick wit. He could be quite sharp-tongued at times, but he chose to keep his witty sarcasm stored away for rare occasions. But that light chuckling came to a quick stop as Jill referred to her gender. "Wha-?" Faris turned and stared at Jill from the crack between the door and the doorframe. Seeing her nervous expression, Faris realized that she had made a mistake. "Of course, Jill, of course," He nodded, reaching for the doorknob. "But please, just give me a moment. Then we can go down together, ragazzo and ragazzo. Alright?" And without waiting for an answer, he shut the door so he could quickly change his clothes. Jill probably wouldn't understand his "male and male" joke, but maybe it was for the better.
Faris had showered the night before so he saw no need for cleaning himself up too much this morning. Besides, what true country boy showered every day? Quickly changing his attire, Faris shuddered at the thought of Sir Winston and Taylor. He hoped to Merlin that they wouldn't come on the trip; they seemed to prissy for camping.

Jillian narrowed her light brown eyes spitefully at Faris as he teased her, giving her a disbelieving 'of course, Jill, of course' before asking that she give him a moment, that when he was ready they could both head down ragazzo and ragazzo. Jillian, though she didn't know much Italian at all, knew Faris long enough to know that 'ragazzo' was the opposite of 'ragazza'. And if 'ragazza' (which he often called her), meant girl, then ragazzo…. "Heyyyyyy!! Who are you calling a boy?!" she said as all of this dawned on her, her brows furrowed disapprovingly. Oh, that boy! The nerve! She'd have to give him a piece of it when he was back out.

Faris began laughing quite audibly as he heard Jill's cries through the closed bathroom door. It was always fun to mess around with her; she did enough goofing around with him as it were. Faris turned to look in the mirror, smoothing out his pale blue tee shirt as he examined himself. After making sure that he looked alright in his hiking and camping attire, which included his favorite of brown trousers, rolled up a short bit, he left the bathroom and prepared to hear a barrage of insults from Jillian. He quickly made to get his trainers as he prepared for the bombardment.

"Think you're just so funny, don't you, Patino?" was Jillian's greeting to the Italian boy as he walked out of the bathroom, already prepared to hear her lecture - though she, of course, didn't know that. However, luckily for Faris, Jillian seemed not to be in the mood for lecturing the boy at that moment. Rather, she was more in the mood of leaving the dormitories already so they could head over to the camp-out taking place in the forest near the school. This was where the girl's real interest was in, what she only seemed to have a mind for. And so, without a word and completely ignoring that Faris might be needing something else, the girl took him by the wrist and dragged him out of the dormitory, pulling something out from her pocket before bringing it back to its original size with a wave of her wand. It was her broom. Releasing the boy's wrist, Jillian allowed the broom to hover in the air for a quick second before hopping on and turning to the tanned boy still standing. "Hop on!" she instructed him, enthusiasm evident on her voice, though there was still a rather demanding quality in it. But there was no time to waste! She wanted to be the very first one to arrive to this little camping trip and she wasn't going to allow Faris to hold her back for another second.

Faris was amazed at Jillian's gall. Had she really shrunk a broom for the occasion? Faris made to reluctantly join her on the broom, but before mounting it he began, "Do you plan to fly out of the window," He gestured towards the rather large, curtained window a few feet from them, "or through the halls?" Faris looked towards the door, a rather nervous look in his eyes as his feet remained rooted to the ground. Faris wasn't particularly keen on either mode of exit, especially as he wasn't too comfortable on broomsticks, but he knew that he would definitely prefer flying out of the window to flying through the building and zooming down the staircase. Still, Faris was one for the solid earth and the ground. He would have rather walked ten miles in his bare feet than ridden 5 miles on a broom.

Jillian listened as Faris - delaying their exit, how dare he! - began to ask her questions before mounting the broom, asking her if they were going to fly out the window or through the halls. "The halls are too empty this morning to fly through them," Jillian replied with a roll of her eyes, as if this was something obvious everyone should be aware of and it was the most normal thing in the planet to prefer to ride your broom in crowded hallways than in empty ones where the ride would obviously be a lot less hazardous to yourself and those around you. "Now get on, you're going to make us - what was it? 'Fashionably late'?" the girl added, using the last bit as a tease. "Looks like we've got our roles figured out here, girlie. I promise we won't break any nails during the ride," she added with a devious little smirk, obviously quite enjoying this teasing session, a sort of mini-revenge for the boy's earlier comment.

Faris stood still, not reacting at all to Jillian's psycho babble... until she began using his words against him. "Alright, alright," Faris had to bite his lip to keep from retaliating as he mounted the back of the broom. He made sure that he held on tight as his feet were rooted to the ground. He didn't plan on losing any limbs during their joy ride through the university. "Let's get going, ragazzo." With a smirk at his comment, Faris quickly waved his wand and magicked open the large window that was merely a few feet away. As the curtains parted and the window panes flew open, Faris stuffed his wand back into his pocket and his pulse began to rise. Maybe this wasn't such a great idea after all. Jill wasn't the most reliable person on earth, and Faris wasn't sure if she was the safest either.
