Alrighty, so I was discussing this idea with the awesome people at The Shh/TP, and everyone seemed to like it so I decided to give it a try!
Plot:
What happens to the many witches and wizards who attend Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, and all the other wizarding schools of Europe (and the rest of the world too, I guess) after they graduate?
According to HPL, nothing. (Thanks RaRaRachieee for looking that up. )
But that's no fun. College is one of the most exciting times of your life (or it's supposed to be, anyway. Lol)!
So, why not start up a university just for witches and wizards around the world? This isn't going to be the first university ever, in this RP universities are as normal to every witch's and wizard's life as it is to us muggles; nothing out of this world.
Wenlock University, founded in 1479 in honor of the popular witch Bridget Wenlock, is one of the largest magical universities in London, and it's well-known for its high standards and notable alumni. This is where our RP will be taking place, where a large group of students coming from different wizarding schools all around the world will meet each other for the first time (or not, perhaps some of them had already attended school together), and together enjoy some of the best years of their lives - there's still exams, and classes, and that stress that came with their first schools, but there's also a lot more freedom. You get to choose what classes you're going to take, when they'll start, how many days a week you'll go; there's no such thing as "detention" anymore, you're free to walk out of class whenever you want; and there's no nagging parents waiting to scold you for getting home at five in the morning. You're in dorms, there's no parents to give you rules! You're finally… an adult.
What you do with your time is entirely up to you; whether you do your homework or attend class is, again, up to you. You don't have to eat your vegetables anymore, and no nagging teachers will take House points away from you if you wander around past curfew. There is no curfew. But you still get to have the fun of joining sports teams if you like, and this time the matches aren't friendly little games between Houses - you play against other Universities now, against people who are seriously considering these sports to be their career. If sports are not for you, you can always join sororities or fraternities - as long as you make it past initiation.
So what will become of your characters once they begin living "the college student lifestyle"?
Some kids might go wild, they can't handle so much freedom. Will they go to class only once a week, take only two classes per semester and spend the rest of their free time playing Quidditch, partying, and chasing after girls until three the next morning?
Or will they continue with their goody-two-shoes personality? Take three times more classes than the average student, spend weekends locked up in their dorms studying?
Perhaps.
Or perhaps, some people will change… the nerdy girl will suddenly become the one everyone looks up to as the most beautiful, the most charming? Will the typical jock with his perfect grades and amazing Quidditch skills become a failure, too lazy to attend his classes and suddenly shunned by his classmates?
Who knows!
What your charries do in college, who they socialize with, what cliques they join, how they spend their weekends, how they perform in classes, everything is entirely up to you. Make them kings and queens, or make them failures. It's up to you. =]

So, the RP is obviously about kids attending the same wizarding university.
The layout for this school will be the same as any other muggle college or university, the only difference would obviously be their majors and classes which would have to match something kids in the wizarding world would take, obviously.
Some Must-Knows
All the kids in the RP should be either in their freshman or sophomore year. No seniors about to graduate or anything, please.
There will be two students per dorm room.
Roommates must be girl-girl or boy-boy (bahaha, no, you don't get that much freedom yet!)
Your character's class schedule is entirely up to you. It would be nice to have at least some charries with similar schedules so they can attend a class together and have a bit of it RPed out, though not the whole thing.
If your character is a sophomore, he or she may already be part of a fraternity or sorority, and he or she may help come up with the evil tasks they'll have the freshies do as part of initiation into their frats/sororities.
Characters are not limited to just students - you can RP a sports coach, a professor, anything you want.
Since this is a university, not everyone will be native to its location (which would be England, I suppose). Your charrie may be an international student, if you want them to be.
Since we're starting up a whole new school from scratch here, it would be a LOT of work and too much info at once to give you guys like a whole layout of the school's buildings and classes and this and that, so you may make that up as you go along.
Be crazy, have your charries perform wild stunts, get them in trouble, put them in unlikely situations, just add on to the plot to keep it fun!
If you guys have plans with someone else about dorming your charries together, just add in your bio something like: "Roommate: Bob Smith." If you don't have a roomie yet, we'll randomly mix the charries up together; aaaand if your charrie just doesn't want any roommates at all, he or she may have a single dorm room for themselves (just make sure to clarify that in your bio.)
We'll be starting the RP about a month after the first day of classes, so everyone should be at least a little familiar with each other.

There's no limit as to how many characters you can have, or how many the RP will have as a whole. The more the better! Though let's try to keep the boy/girl ratio even.
Alrighty, guys! So… I'm kinda dumb. Turns out there's no sororities or frats in English universities, or they go by another name, I'm not sure. Either way, it's too late to move the school to the US now, soooo… uh… here's a Wiki page on what sororities and frats are?
But since this is just an RP not a REAL univ. and stuff, we're just focusing on the putting-freshmen-through-difficult-tasks and hardcore-partying parts of being in sororities or fraternities.
So!
The RP shall have four main sororities and fraternities (there are obviously many more around the school than these, but these will be the ones our charries will be a part of so everyone's connected somehow):

Fliss had decided to just head off somewhere, just walking. So after finishing her first class, and finding herself hungry, she had stopped back at her dorm; for food, naturally. Because she always had a stock of food, or so crisps in her room. It took all her strength to not go hunting for her twin, and yano cramp his style. So she had just walked, just walked about. Room to think. Yeah, room to think. Not that she needed it, she had another lesson after lunch.
Not that you could call three packets of crisps lunch.
Mya smiled a little at the Professor.She now wondered what he was like as a teacher,whether he was this nice in class or whether he was strick and down the business,but something told her he was genuinely nice.She didnt know whether he'd met Kelly before,but she'd introduce them anyway.Polite mannors anyway.She smiled a little."Professor,this is Kelly,my room mate"she said with a small nodd.She looked at him as he said he would share the sister story another time.She nodded."Sure"she said,nodding.
She was again now grateful for not having to feel so deeply upset about a loved one.Her dad didnt count,she didnt even know him.But anyway,she turned back to the two of them.She smiled a little at the Professor."Yeah,I was thinking of trying something knew,Im getting a little close for comfort now."she said,shaking her head."Count me in"she nodded with a grin.She was slightly nervous now.She didnt know whether she was good at Herbology or not,and she didnt want to make a fool out of herself."Thank you Professor,Ill see you soon"she said,as he walked off.
She looked at the Student he was now talking to,and she caught the "Might need some Assistance".She grinned,she would thank that boy when she next saw him.

He said, glancing down at the bags then looking back at Freddie after he'd pointed out Mya and Kelly, "Being the gentleman you are, wouldn't you lend her a hand?" He asked, narrowing his gaze slightly, a smirk never leaving his lips. "She's really pretty.." He suggested and cleared his throat. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have papers to grade.." With a wave in the girls direction and a pat on Freddie's back, Ezra strolled out of the cafeteria, whistling the tune of a song which had been stuck in his head for almost a week. "I think I am getting homesick," Onyx sighed. And then Mitchell mentioned Greeks. Eww. That was not something that interested Onyx. "Not a chance." Greeks were just soooo.... cliche. Onyx did not enjoy conforming, nor did she enjoy doing things that everyone else did.
They finally entered the eating hall. Great, it smelt so yummy in there.
"It'll go away soon." Mitchell told her, "Once you start having fun and enjoying it here, you'll be just fine." Mitchell said as he picked out his lunch for the day. He paid for it and went to find a table to sit at.

As Hailey was walking towards the cafeteria, strutting around like she owned the place, she noticed the extremely HOT professor walking out, whistling a tune. She quickened her pace and caught up with him, fluffing out her hair mere seconds before facing him. "Hi there, Professor Truax!" She said in her bubbly voice, batting her eyelashes at him. Perhaps she should have worn her extra short black dress? Clicking away in her heels as she walked in pace with him now, she flashed him a brilliant smile. "I absolutely LOVE Herbology--it's like, my favorite subject!" She said and then giggled a bit, before straightening up again. It wasn't a lie--but its not like she would rather pot plants than work on her hair or something. But since Ezra would be teaching it, she just HAD to be in love with Herbology.
"It'll go away soon." Mitchell told her, "Once you start having fun and enjoying it here, you'll be just fine." Mitchell said as he picked out his lunch for the day. He paid for it and went to find a table to sit at.

Jillian smiled faintly with amusement as Kat decided that since she had broken into the house through the back, they might as well start there. She nodded as the woman then explained that they had two sets of stairs, making a mental note of this before beginning to follow her lead up the stairs. "Do girls actually get to sleep here? Like... a real house?" she asked curiously. Her knowledge on how sorority and fraternity houses worked was very limited, and it made her all the more curious about the subject.

"Unfortunately, it seems so," Oliver muttered as Syler mentioned Kat seemed to know everything. He couldn't help but laugh, though, as Syler considered the idea of moving into the frat house as he couldn't really stand the 'baboons' he had been roomed with. "Aw c'mon, it won't hurt to give them a chance. If you're lucky, they might learn to change their own diapers," he teased with another laugh before turning a little more serious again. "No, but seriously... you should probably try to get them to rush for Sigma Mu Eta next week; we could have a little fun with them," he suggested with a grin that held a hint of mischief in it. Layla ran out of the Auror training meeting yawning. Gosh that had been exremely boring. She'd of much rather taken Jillian around the house. Layla didn't know where she would find Jill so decided to pay the sorority house a visit. She appeared at the door, letting herself in. She was an established member now, there was no need for knocking. She opened the next door when she heard voices. "Jill!" she smiled as she saw the girl. She turned around to see who Jill was talking to. "Kat. How are you?" she asked excitedly. Oh how she loved life at Alpha Pi Delta. She then turned back to Jill confused. "Wait...Why are you here?" she asked. Not that she minded she was just curious. "I'm sorry I had to leave you earlier. I completely forgot about it. I would have much rather stayed. Jillian turned away from Kat as she heard her name, and at the sight of Layla standing near the foot of the stairs, the younger girl couldn't help but grin. "Lay!" she greeted with a friendly smile. She chuckled softly as Layla then went on to ask what she was doing there. "I kind of... I thought it would be 'adventurous' to go find the house on my own after you left," she confessed with a sheepish smile. "It seems I'm not very graceful at breaking-in, though, and Kat caught me. No worries, though, she gave me pasta," she explained with a soft chuckle, patting her full tummy with a smile before shaking her head slightly as Layla apologized for leaving her. "It's alright, don't worry about it. Come on up, you can be part of the tour," she said with playfulness in her tone, as she knew a tour was probably not exciting at all for Layla who was already familiar with the house.
Joseph tilted his outstretched hand slightly as he entered the Cafeteria. JEEEEZ!! That strand of hair was annoying the heck out of him. With his mouth slightly open he probably looked a little stupid simply walking around staring at his reflection on the backside of spoon. It was standing off at a different angle than the others. Pfft!
Completely oblivious to his surroundings the blonde simply stared - no, more glared - at the spoon as if he thought that by sheer will-power he would be able to make the strand of hair blend in with the others. Which probably he did. Think that it was able. Gray eyes narrowing further he chewed on his lower lip as he let out an annoyed sigh as it seemed that the whole 'stare-at-it-and-make-it-do-what-you-want-it-to' thing had not worked out after.

He was distracted however by a female voice coming from somewhere close to him. And what the girl was saying made her totally awesome in Joseph's books. Of course, a mirror!!one!! "ZOMG! D'you have one? A mirror." He beamed at her excitedly as he lowered his spoon. How come he hadn't thought of that?

Dropping off the empty mug on his way out of the cafeteria, Ezra quickened his pace a little. This time around, he ought to knock at Amelia's office but the thought of her being busy stopped him from venturing for the door. The idea of disturbing the woman appeared to be the biggest hindrance for him. Walking past her office once again without even a hello, he aimlessly roamed around, watching the students chat about rush week and such. As he took a turn, his steps were cut short by one of his very cheerful students. "Ah, Ms. Mitchell!!" He exclaimed excitedly in return of her energetic greeting.
Hailey Mitchell - what an interesting girl. She was so full of life which made Ezra appreciate her a lot. Although she wasn't the brightest bulb in terms of Herbology, she sure was trying and he could clearly see her effort during lessons. Always coming up questions even if they didn't make much sense. "I'm glad to hear that but don't you think it's a very strong statement?" He asked, rubbing his chin, a soft smile playing on his lips. Resuming his walk, he slowed down a little so that she could catchup. The diversity in the personalities of his students always left him in awe. Take Mr. Thompson for instance, the drawn out lesson left him weary and lethargic while things with Hailey were the complete opposite. Does it have to do with the fact that she was a female student? Shrugging mentally, he smiled, "Two lessons and you're already fan? I'm flattered albeit you didn't appear thrilled while planting Mandrakes." He stated, a smirk tugging at the end of his lips as his feet halted right outside his office. She is not going to accompany him inside, is she? Oh Merlin.
Halfway down the pathway into the grounds, Keira thought she heard someone behind her, but she didn't bother turning around. As far as she knew, nobody on campus had seemed like a stalker, or dangerous, and it wouldn't have bothered her if they did. She could take care of herself. Continuing to walk, still a little lost in her thoughts, she forgot about the noise until suddenly she had to stop short as a figure stopped directly in her pathway.
Green eyes widening behind her sunglasses, it took a second for her to break free of her initial surprise, then she grinned a little wryly. "Do you always try and make girls run into you, or is this a special circumstance?," she asked, before looking at him a bit closer. "You were in Transfiguration, weren't you?" She may have been occupying her mind during class with other things, but that didn't mean she hadn't looked at her classmates first.
Dominic grinned his crooked smile. "Not necessarily," he replied, putting his hands in his pockets and glancing down at his feet. He was so shy when it came to girls, especially when they made him blush by saying sarcastic things. "I wasn't sure if I'd get your attention by tapping you on the shoulder," he added, looking back up at the blond who was wearing sunglasses at the minute. It was a fairly sunny day.
"Yeah I was in Transfiguration," he nodded, in replying to her question. "I'm surprised you noticed. Seemed someone had their head in the clouds," Dom pointed out. He probably embarrassed himself by taking notes like there was no tomorrow. "Care to share what you were thinking about?" he asked her, figuring it had to be something good, considering the lesson had been interesting for the most part. To him at least.

I thought it would be 'adventurous' to go find the house on my own after you left," she confessed with a sheepish smile. "It seems I'm not very graceful at breaking-in, though, and Kat caught me. No worries, though, she gave me pasta," she explained with a soft chuckle, patting her full tummy with a smile before shaking her head slightly as Layla apologized for leaving her. "It's alright, don't worry about it. Come on up, you can be part of the tour," she said with playfulness in her tone, as she knew a tour was probably not exciting at all for Layla who was already familiar with the house.
Layla laughed. "well i'm glad that your here." she smiled. She couldn't wait to see whether Jill would choose Alpha Pi Delta as her sorority or Delta Zeta. She hoped that the house would help her make her mind up. "Ah I see. You have experienced Kat's legendary Pasta. Lovely isn't it?" She looked to Kat smiling. The sorority girls "I would love to join in with the tour. "Where are we going first? Upstairs is the best but out back is a good place to begin."
Jillian smiled faintly with amusement as Kat decided that since she had broken into the house through the back, they might as well start there. She nodded as the woman then explained that they had two sets of stairs, making a mental note of this before beginning to follow her lead up the stairs. "Do girls actually get to sleep here? Like... a real house?" she asked curiously. Her knowledge on how sorority and fraternity houses worked was very limited, and it made her all the more curious about the subject.
"Yes. Usually it's the upperclassmen, but we have a lot of sophmores and a few freshmen during the initiation process who stay here versus the dorms. Though, the dorm advisers prefer that most of them that belong to a Greek that they stay in the house versus the dorm rooms." Kat rolled her eyes, it didn't matter to her as long as the girls were active in the organization and didn't slam doors or track in dirt or mud.

Syler gave a sneer, "What a good idea mate." he smiled as Oliver talked about rush week. He just hoped they didn't get past initiation then, but at least he'd get to torture them just a little. "I think he's at lunch." Syler told him as they walked into the house. He looked around, it seemd that the others were at lunch too.

She wanted to talk to one of the professors later in the day, and needed her owl Wynter to do it. The front door slammed down stairs and Kat's eyes widened and she gritted her teeth. "What have I told you ladies about the doors?" she hollered, making sure that everyone in the house, floors one through three could hear her. And then she was off, downstairs to find who it was that slammed the door.

Jillian grinned as Layla agreed to join in the tour and listened as Kat explained that it was usually only the upperclassmen who stayed in the house, though they had a few sophomores and freshmen who stayed over sometimes as well. But it was then that the blonde woman turned to Layla and left the tour in her hands before disappearing off to scold whoever had just slammed the door. Jill giggled lightly with amusement at this before turning to Layla. "So, Mrs. New Alpha Pi Delta tour guide... anything specific I should see first?" she asked with a soft chuckle, her tones playful.

Oliver's brows furrowed slightly as Syler mentioned their fraternity master was probably at lunch. The frat master being away he didn't mind, what bothered him at the moment was the fact that none of the other fraternity brothers seemed to be there at the moment. Had they forgotten it was Rush Week next week? That they had to be planning initiation and discussing ideas about the annual start-of-term party? Oliver was a bit of a nerd when it came to organizing these things and he didn't take it well when the other guys seemed to be slacking off. "Should we send them a message or just start without them?" he asked Syler; though he knew the right thing to do was to let the other guys know of what was going on.

Layla smiled at Kat. "I am, how do you say it? Awesome today thank you." she said in a thick French accent. Although Laylas english was amszing she was still grasping English and American slang. Those type of words weren't taught in private schools. "And vous?"she asked but Kat had disappeared off to warn the girls of door slamming.
Layla chuckled at her name. It was slightly ironic that the French girl was showing the native girl around. "Well I think it best to start from ze top and make my our way down to ze bottom floor" Layla's eyes widened. Why had all of a sudden had she gone into her thickest and heaviest French accent. Strange. It was probably because when she was comfortable she tended to speak in her Native language and accent. The Alpha Pi Delta house made her relax and she didn't speak so formal anymore. "Ah! Mon Dieu!. Pardon moi, I didn't mean to talk in zis accent. It's just zis always happens when im relaxed. That must explain ze formal talk you told me about earlier" she smiled and giggled. "Anyway if you would like to follow me" she said walking up a large flight of stairs.

Barbie walked out into the courtyard with her pink sunglasses on as well as her pink high heels. She was feeling in such a pink mood today! As her heels clicked along the pebble walkway, she thought about how she was suppose to be in Lunch at the moment, but she didn't really feel like going since she had eaten a snack before her last class and that had filled her up. But Rosie would be waiting for her...
She stopped walking to take a quick look back at the entrance to the school, but then she shrugged it off. She would explain it all the Rosie later about how she wasn't hungry, and hopefully she would forgive her. Barbie knew the girl would forgive her! They were BFF's and they were also roommates. They couldn't be mad at each other forever, right? RIGHT.
Coming across a bench, the sophomore sat down and observed her surroundings. This place was so pretty. Even if this was her second year attending, it all still amazed her!

Dropping off the empty mug on his way out of the cafeteria, Ezra quickened his pace a little. This time around, he ought to knock at Amelia's office but the thought of her being busy stopped him from venturing for the door. The idea of disturbing the woman appeared to be the biggest hindrance for him. Walking past her office once again without even a hello, he aimlessly roamed around, watching the students chat about rush week and such. As he took a turn, his steps were cut short by one of his very cheerful students. "Ah, Ms. Mitchell!!" He exclaimed excitedly in return of her energetic greeting.
Hailey Mitchell - what an interesting girl. She was so full of life which made Ezra appreciate her a lot. Although she wasn't the brightest bulb in terms of Herbology, she sure was trying and he could clearly see her effort during lessons. Always coming up questions even if they didn't make much sense. "I'm glad to hear that but don't you think it's a very strong statement?" He asked, rubbing his chin, a soft smile playing on his lips. Resuming his walk, he slowed down a little so that she could catchup. The diversity in the personalities of his students always left him in awe. Take Mr. Thompson for instance, the drawn out lesson left him weary and lethargic while things with Hailey were the complete opposite. Does it have to do with the fact that she was a female student? Shrugging mentally, he smiled, "Two lessons and you're already fan? I'm flattered albeit you didn't appear thrilled while planting Mandrakes." He stated, a smirk tugging at the end of his lips as his feet halted right outside his office. She is not going to accompany him inside, is she? Oh Merlin.
Hailey absolutely melted when he called her 'Ms. Mitchell'--oh, if only he wasn't that old. Sigh. "Oh, please--call me Hailey, Sir," She said with a twinkling laugh. Though she quite enjoyed it when he added the Miss to her name. At his comment, she stopped walking a bit because she was surprised that he thought she was lying. Well, she wasn't--in a sense. "Oh, of course not! I honestly DO love Herbology," She retorted, her hand flying to her chest, on which it now rested, showing how much she was troubled at his comment. "I take my studies very seriously, Professor. I really do," She said, now smiling at him again as they aproached his office. Oooh, she wondered what it looked like...just a peek?
When he mentioned the mandrakes, she found it hard not to make a face. Those were NOT fun; heck, she got all dirty, and all for stupid, screaming plants! But, for Ezra, she would do anything. "Oh, the Mandrakes are old stuff, I've done that planty of times at Hogwarts, so it's not that exciting to me anymore" She replied, with a wave of her hand, as if dismissing the topic that easily. "But you're lessons are absolutely thrilling, I must say," She added, flashing him another smile as she eyed his office door. Then, moving a bit too close, perhaps, for his comfort zone, she thought of something quick. "Oh, um, do you mind if I step into your office for a bit? I had to ask you a question...about that roll of parchment on the properties of Mandrakes...," She said, trailing off a bit anf glancing at him, biting her lip. The DID have homework, right? Gosh, why didn't she pay more attention in class?!

Ethan opened the door and stepped into the office, smiling slightly. "Ello Professor, you wanted to see me?" He'd thought he'd heard Professor Liverpool was wanting to see all the memebers about something for the frat house.
But then again...he could be out of his mind...wouldn't be the first time such a thing happened...sigh...
Lucian kept his firm gaze as Ethan entered. His lips twitched into a little smile. "Yeah. I just want to discuss some things with you... about our frat of course," he said, smiling. "First things first, Our frat thus far is one of the most respected and well-known frat in the school and we need to expand our limits. What I'm saying is, we need new recruits to make our frat larger and of course, to benefit all of its members. You always know that I don't tolerate hazings and such so you know what to do."

Amelia returned to her work as Professor Connelly left her office in his morphed form, wondering exactly what his plan was although she wasn't exactly concerned with that at the moment when she had lessons to plan and new potions ingredients to order and there was not enough time to do it all in. She got up from her desk and began pacing around her office, running her fingers through her long brown hair; trying to figure out exactly how to approach everything that needed to be done for her next class without getting majorly frustrated.
Justin, well, morphed Dean was getting bored so after he finished his meal, he stood up and walked towards the hallway bound to his office. He then posted something on the Private Message board for the DADA Professor, forgetting that he is on his disguise. He then opened the door and closed it behind him.
Dean returned to his normal self and then sat behind the desk in the middle of the room. The office is a huge one and had the facade of trees and mountains on the window. There are bookshelves everywhere and an empty bird stand. There is a fireplace in the right-hand side of the office and an armor besides it.
Dean sat on the high chair and started looking over piles of paperwork that he needed for the semester and is wondering what to expect with all these new faces int he school.
