Janus Thickey WardHas your role-play reached its natural conclusion or fallen under a barrage of spells? If so, it will be kept here for permanent care.
Alrighty, so I was discussing this idea with the awesome people at The Shh/TP, and everyone seemed to like it so I decided to give it a try!
Plot:
What happens to the many witches and wizards who attend Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, and all the other wizarding schools of Europe (and the rest of the world too, I guess) after they graduate?
According to HPL, nothing. (Thanks RaRaRachieee for looking that up. )
But that's no fun. College is one of the most exciting times of your life (or it's supposed to be, anyway. Lol)!
So, why not start up a university just for witches and wizards around the world? This isn't going to be the first university ever, in this RP universities are as normal to every witch's and wizard's life as it is to us muggles; nothing out of this world.
Wenlock University, founded in 1479 in honor of the popular witch Bridget Wenlock, is one of the largest magical universities in London, and it's well-known for its high standards and notable alumni. This is where our RP will be taking place, where a large group of students coming from different wizarding schools all around the world will meet each other for the first time (or not, perhaps some of them had already attended school together), and together enjoy some of the best years of their lives - there's still exams, and classes, and that stress that came with their first schools, but there's also a lot more freedom. You get to choose what classes you're going to take, when they'll start, how many days a week you'll go; there's no such thing as "detention" anymore, you're free to walk out of class whenever you want; and there's no nagging parents waiting to scold you for getting home at five in the morning. You're in dorms, there's no parents to give you rules! You're finally… an adult.
What you do with your time is entirely up to you; whether you do your homework or attend class is, again, up to you. You don't have to eat your vegetables anymore, and no nagging teachers will take House points away from you if you wander around past curfew. There is no curfew. But you still get to have the fun of joining sports teams if you like, and this time the matches aren't friendly little games between Houses - you play against other Universities now, against people who are seriously considering these sports to be their career. If sports are not for you, you can always join sororities or fraternities - as long as you make it past initiation.
So what will become of your characters once they begin living "the college student lifestyle"?
Some kids might go wild, they can't handle so much freedom. Will they go to class only once a week, take only two classes per semester and spend the rest of their free time playing Quidditch, partying, and chasing after girls until three the next morning?
Or will they continue with their goody-two-shoes personality? Take three times more classes than the average student, spend weekends locked up in their dorms studying?
Perhaps.
Or perhaps, some people will change… the nerdy girl will suddenly become the one everyone looks up to as the most beautiful, the most charming? Will the typical jock with his perfect grades and amazing Quidditch skills become a failure, too lazy to attend his classes and suddenly shunned by his classmates?
Who knows!
What your charries do in college, who they socialize with, what cliques they join, how they spend their weekends, how they perform in classes, everything is entirely up to you. Make them kings and queens, or make them failures. It's up to you. =]
______________________________
So, the RP is obviously about kids attending the same wizarding university.
The layout for this school will be the same as any other muggle college or university, the only difference would obviously be their majors and classes which would have to match something kids in the wizarding world would take, obviously.
Some Must-Knows
All the kids in the RP should be either in their freshman or sophomore year. No seniors about to graduate or anything, please.
There will be two students per dorm room.
Roommates must be girl-girl or boy-boy (bahaha, no, you don't get that much freedom yet!)
Your character's class schedule is entirely up to you. It would be nice to have at least some charries with similar schedules so they can attend a class together and have a bit of it RPed out, though not the whole thing.
If your character is a sophomore, he or she may already be part of a fraternity or sorority, and he or she may help come up with the evil tasks they'll have the freshies do as part of initiation into their frats/sororities.
Characters are not limited to just students - you can RP a sports coach, a professor, anything you want.
Since this is a university, not everyone will be native to its location (which would be England, I suppose). Your charrie may be an international student, if you want them to be.
Since we're starting up a whole new school from scratch here, it would be a LOT of work and too much info at once to give you guys like a whole layout of the school's buildings and classes and this and that, so you may make that up as you go along.
Be crazy, have your charries perform wild stunts, get them in trouble, put them in unlikely situations, just add on to the plot to keep it fun!
If you guys have plans with someone else about dorming your charries together, just add in your bio something like: "Roommate: Bob Smith." If you don't have a roomie yet, we'll randomly mix the charries up together; aaaand if your charrie just doesn't want any roommates at all, he or she may have a single dorm room for themselves (just make sure to clarify that in your bio.)
We'll be starting the RP about a month after the first day of classes, so everyone should be at least a little familiar with each other.
______________________________
Alright, so I'm pretty sure that's probably kind of vague, but I tried my best! If you have any questions, just ask!
There's no limit as to how many characters you can have, or how many the RP will have as a whole. The more the better! Though let's try to keep the boy/girl ratio even.
Alrighty, guys! So… I'm kinda dumb. Turns out there's no sororities or frats in English universities, or they go by another name, I'm not sure. Either way, it's too late to move the school to the US now, soooo… uh… here's a Wiki page on what sororities and frats are?
But since this is just an RP not a REAL univ. and stuff, we're just focusing on the putting-freshmen-through-difficult-tasks and hardcore-partying parts of being in sororities or fraternities.
So!
The RP shall have four main sororities and fraternities (there are obviously many more around the school than these, but these will be the ones our charries will be a part of so everyone's connected somehow):

"I enjoy it far too much to leave." she smiled getting up to stir the pasta again.
Kat laughed loudly, "Honey, it's either dramatic or lame around here." she told her. "Don't worry about today, though you are the first freshman to break through to the house via the back." Kat confirmed.
"Alpha Pi Delta is focused on serving the community of the University, the country and world. We also help wizards and witches understand Muggle living. But, we all do it having fun, we do all sorts of things. Before you leave, go check out the Sorority Hall." Kat explained to her.
Jill gave a small, weak chuckle as Kat told her she didn't tolerate excuses either. Luckily for her, though, that subject didn't last too long and Kat was soon going on about how she had become the sorority house mum. Jillian listened attentively, nodding her head every now and then with a small smile on her face. She began to gaze around the kitchen absentmindedly again when Kat spoke once more, explaining that it was always either dramatic or lame around the house, though she was the first freshman to break through the back of the house. At this, Jillian grinned, as if she had just received the loveliest of compliments. "Oh good, I'm not even in the sorority yet but I've already made history!" she said, quite proud of herself before turning a little more serious as Kat explained to her what Alpha Pi Delta was about. Jill nodded her head as she listened; it sounded like Alpha Pi Delta wasn't that bad after all; it actually sounded like a great sorority. "I think I'll go do that now," said the young girl as Kat mentioned checking out the Sorority Hall. "And hopefully I'll see you again next week when I try out for Alpha Pi Delta," she added with a grin, sliding off the stool and onto her feet. She gave Kat one last friendly smile before heading out to the Sorority Hall, taking a moment to examine all the old paintings and portraits and the captions below them.

We did get pretty rowdy at some of those parties we held." Syler laughed remembering a few of those nights. None of which the Dean was happy about. "Maybe, if only we're lucky enough." Syler said nodding his head. "They can pull some good parties at times." Syler admitted.
Oliver laughed lightly as Syler mentioned they should've swapped places before the boy then added he had been stuck with two freshmen. At this, Oliver's eyebrows rose. "Two?!" he repeated a bit disbelievingly. "Merlin, mate… what'd you do to upset the dorming officer?" he asked with a soft chuckle. "Do you have to milk their bottles and read them bedtime stories too?" he added teasingly. But he was soon distracted from his teasing as Syler commented on the sorority parties. "Yeah, hopefully. And even if they don't invite us, we can always just go crash their parties. It's not a big deal," he said, as if sneaking in uninvited was the most normal of things.
Unloading a rather heavy cardboard box on his office desk, Ezra leaned against the desk, his legs crossed as his eyes wandered around the organized room. It'd been almost a month since the start of the term but due to his sister's injury, he couldn't join on time and thus, the duration of his classes were increased so as to draw level with the other Professor's lessons. He was so caught up in planning lessons and such that he didn't get the time to decorate his sanctuary. With the last box left, he flicked his wand at it and the contents; mainly indoor plants, spewed out of the box and onto their accurate spots. Satisfied, he pocketed his wand and retrieved his coffee which had been waiting to be drank for quite some time. Bringing the mug to his lips, the young professor frowned. It was cold. Quickly casting a warming spell, he pulled on his jacket over his plain white, fitted t-shirt and made his way out of his office and among the busy hallways teeming with college kids.
Smiling at the few friendly faces while taking quick sips of his black coffee, Ezra strayed around for awhile before finally heading over to the university courtyard to get a breath of fresh air. Running his free hand through his hair, Ezra lounged on the lush green grass, the afternoon sun beaming at him as he took out his spare quill and parchment from the pocket of his jacket. Seeing that he had conducted his lesson early in the morning and it turned out to be quite successful except a few slothful and blank young faces, he decided to release some ideas on the piece for the next lesson which was more likely to focus on plants and their toxicity.

New term, new challenges.Wow this was going to be a good year. She hoped anyway.Taking on last tugg, Mya pulled her luggage from the ride she'd gotten of the houses Car.She smiled at Palo."See you later Palo"she said with a smile. He wished her the best of luck and drove off into the distance.Mya turned back to the school and took her steps foward towards the school. She caught sight of one of the Professors. She smiled a little."Morning Professor!"she called loudly
She took a deep breath and smiled. She'd had a relaxing summer, which consisted of Quidditch,Quidditch and pretty much Quidditch.Oh and visiting her mother back in Greece.Something she had been wanting to do for a while,so she did. They talked and ate and swam in the sea.It was a good holiday. She needed it anyway. She realised how much she missed home and that despite her mother begging her not to go back, she knew she had made the right choice last year to go to Uni.
Tugging her luggage a little more, she started to realised that she luggage was seriously heavy, and she wondered what they heck was in there. She shook her head and trugged up to the Uni.Where was everyone?
Walking up to the castle from the green house area Freddie felt exhausted, hungry and very warm. This morning's lesson with Professor Treux had been one of the longest and hardest since the blond young man had started Wenlock University. It was a reason for the pace and pressure but Freddie didn't like it one bit. Learning about plants, herbs, gardening etc were usually fun but not if you rushed through things just to catch up to some designated point in the curriculumn. In his opinion it was useless. Couldn't they get there eventually.
Freddie sighed and muttered to himself as he made his way into the cafeteria for a much needed lunch. Scanning the room he noted a lot of freshmans like Jill and Faris, Onyx and Dusty were all ready there. Not feeling up to hearing comments about his probably sweaty appearance Freddie took a table of his own after bying lunch wondering where Joseph had gotten off to.
A soft sigh escaped his lips and he canceled out the summary of the forthcoming lesson. Teaching about toxicities, the agents causing it and it's effects at such an early time of the year was sure going to backfire. Although majority of the students attending his lessons showed potential, Ezra couldn't bring himself to burden them with such a complex topic when they couldn't differentiate between the seeds of Asphodelus albus & Asphodelus fistulosus. Turning to the bare side of the parchment, he jotted down:
Quote:
Herbology Basics for duds Main focus:
Care & Handling of Plants.
Supplies Needed for Herbology.
Plant Classification.
Note: Everyone is welcomed to attend the lesson regardless of their years.
This was a huge step back but it'll warm up their foggy brains. Coming to think of it, how can someone not retain such basics fundamentals of Herbology? It seemed totally ridiculous to Ezra but thankfully (for the students), he's really patient. While he was neatly folding the paper, a familiar sophomore greeted him. "Good morning, Ms. Pallas..." He answered with a nod in the young girl's direction. "A little lost, are we?" He questioned the flash of uneasiness on her generally vivacious features. She didn't seem lost though the luggage looked particularly heavy.
☆ Princess of RP ☆|| Lioness || XOXO | Laugh || Love || Live ☆
Mya smiled as she walked over to the Professor. She knew that he was the Professor of Herbology.Personally she was useless at that one subjest but that was just her lack of drive. She knew she had to try this year,as she based her previous year on Sports mainly. And a few other subjects she found easy. But she was going to push herself this year."Lost?"she smiled, and shook her head."Not quite"she said, smiling."Im just trying to trudge this big old bag with me."she said smiling."Is it just me, or is it a bit quiet"she said, frowning as she looked around.
The University was never quite, but at the moment,it seemed to be.Odd.She shook her head and glanced at the Professor."Have a good summer?"she asked, casualy. That was one thing she liked about Uni.Conversations between students and teachers were less of a lecture, more of a conversation. They took you seriously, not as children anymore/
Ezra got to his feet as the student approached him with a smile. Returning the smile, he slipped his hands deep in his pockets and narrowed his eyes at her luggage. "It's quiet, yes though I prefer it this way." He wasn't a fan of chaos but much to his chagrin, it's an integral part of university life. "How about the cafeteria? I've a feeling you'll find your subject of interest there." Chuckling lightly, he proceeded towards the castle before glancing over his shoulder, "Ms. Pallas, I'll walk you to the cafeteria. Hand me your luggage." He gestured at the nasty looking bags and couldn't help but wonder what it possessed. Shoes for sure.
He furrowed his brows slightly, "An emotional roller coaster, to be honest. Apart from that, I had to tend my younger sister." Martha inflicted an injury in the last week of the vacations yet it felt as if he had to look after her for years. Poor thing, had to go through so much pain. "As for you Miss Pallas, I'm sure your summer was all broomsticks." He added, a small smile gracing his lips. She has an aptitude for sports though he wanted her to push herself and take on some challenges like opting for...Herbology. There's no fun in only doing things we're best at.

Mya nnodded with a small smile."Yeah well Ill agree with you on that, but no doubt Ive jinxed myself and this place will be crawling with Freshman"she said shaking her head and laughing to herself. She had a quite flashback to when she was a freshie.Something she would want to have to repeat.Trying to fit in,being the best of your class, being the best looking.Never fun.Not for someone who hadnt been in the country longer than 12 hours anyway. She turned back to the Professor and nodded."Yeah sure, might be slightly more crouded in there"she said, with a short nodd and a grin as he asked for her luggage."Thank you"she said gratefully. It was heavy.
She frowned at him as he answered her question."Oh wow.. Im sorry"she said to him.She didnt know what it was like to have to look after someone so close who was sick. She was now thankful she didnt have to."I hope she will be ok.. what is wrong with her..?"she asked. She smirked and nodded."Yeah well.. you got me there!"she said with a sigh."But Im going to try something new this year"she said with a nodd.

Kelly passed through the campus of Wenlock University with the same tired-some manner that she did everyday. She had just come from class, this being why she was so tired, and having a heavy bag thrown over her shoulder just added to it. But no matter how hard and demanding the classes were at this university, she loved being here more than anywhere else, it was so welcoming and just like home really. They hadn't long been back from summer and Kelly felt that she had to do some serious catching up with her friends, but where the heck were they?
As she made her way to the main building of the university, she caught sight of her roommate, Mya, talking to a professor. She smiled and pulled herself towards them, it took quite a lot of energy though. "Hey Mya! Professor." She said, nodding her head at them.

Amelia closed the door after Dean entered the office and she sat back down at her desk then crossed her right leg over her left, smoothing out her black knee-length skirt slightly; when he decided to ask about how the students have been, she took a drink of coffee from her mug before speaking. "Well..they're not all that serious about taking Potions, I've not seen one student who has the true potential to succeed in my class and not everyone has managed to hand their assignments in on time which I have a big thing about." she said, resting her hand on the side of her face slightly.
Dean chuckled and nodded a bit. "Do you want me to help?" he said as he rubbed the tip of his chin and cleared his throat.
"Aha!" he remarked and started to morph. "Do you want me to ask around the school for you? I mean I will be in disguise to join the students." he said as he changed from his original look to a much more younger version of himself.
"That is if you only like it."

"I was just asking the Professor how his holiday was..How was yours?"she asked looking around."I havnt seen hardly anyone, have you?"she laughed.

Kelly smiled at Mya, it was kind of weird how things worked out between them actually. Their personalities were so different. She sighed and dropped her bag on the floor, if she was going to stick around here then she might as well make herself feel confortable. "Phew, that was so heavy." She said, rolling her eyes and chuckling.
"My summer was awesome." She said, grinning. "I went on holiday with my parents to Spain. It was soo hot there." She said, pointing at her incredibly tanned face. She chuckled, "How was yours?" She asked, then looked around too. "I haven't seen anyone either. That's why i'm relieved to have found you here." She said, grinning.

Another faint smile made it's way onto his lips when the girl handed him her belongings without any hint of reluctance. He didn't mind in the least bit and happily carried her bags. "The pleasure's all mine." He said sweetly and before they could resume their walk, another student joined the duo. Ezra wasn't much familiar with this particular student compared to Mya so he simply nodded his head to her greeting and restarted to move back into the castle. "I'll tell you about my sister sometime later.." He trailed off , summoned his empty mug and added, "By the way, I'm arranging an introductory lesson for Herbology, maybe you and you're friend might want to attend...? I'm always accepting students." He always preferred a class packed with students. It motivated him to work harder on improving the lessons. "And don't worry about your luggage, it'll be waiting for you right in your dorm." He said and took off in the direction of the cafe.

Smiling at the young faces, he caught sight of a very flustered student of his. "Mr. Thompson." He called out, feeling rather bad for conducting such a tiring and lengthy lesson. "Are you busy? I may need some assistance." He said as he placed her bags on the ground and smiled at the annoyed freshman.
"Of New York?" Mitchell asked, he thought about it for a moment. "I liked the business of the city. Versus the boredom of Dublin." Mitchell told him. "I loved the fact there was always something to do, to go to, people to meet. That sort of thing." Mitchell said with a nod of the head. Spring break would definatley be going back to New York.
He shook his head. "I meant about the class but we can talk about New York," he smiled. "Yeah its the city that never sleeps. I mean you can order Chinese food at 4 in the morning and get it in like 10 minutes." He loved doing that. "The people are a thing to experience alright." Some of the strangest people lived in New York, but that was the fun thing about living there.

Kat let the girl go back to the Sorority Hall as she divided the pasta into two decorated bowls. She stuck a fork in each bowl and headed after the girl. "You won't leave until you eat something." She told Jill handing over her bowl of pasta. She leaned against the frame of the opening to th room eating her food, wondering what was going through Jill's mind. "When you get done here, I'll take you on a tour if you wish." Kat told her before turning back to go to the kitchen.
"I was pretty clear on two wasn't I?" Syler asked with distaste as he picked up his tray. "No, not yet. If I ever have to, I'll be sleeping on your floor for a night when I go to change dorms in the morning." Syler warned, though he could just stay at the frat house...that seemed like an even better idea. Syler laughed, "Yeah, that sounds like a plan. I find it humourous to make Kat have to come into the problem." he told his friend. Kat the house mom was fun, but she'd put the foot down when it needed to be. Syler noticed Harlem with another freshman and Mitchell heading into the food hall. Deciding against going into the food hall to dispose of his tray, Syler just vanished it there on the spot. "Let's head over ot the House." he told Oliver.

Some of the strangest people lived in New York, but that was the fun thing about living there.
He nodded at Onyx. His stomach was rumbling as they drew closer to the dining hall. He really was hungry. He might have to take some food back to his room.
Harlem had decided yet if he was going Greek. It was something big in the United States, but he wasn't sure if he was the Greek type. "I'm not sure. I have a whole year to think about it. I may check it out. Are you thinking of rushing?" He pulled open the door to the dining hall and stepped inside. He noticed his roommate Syler getting up up to leave. He really hoped he wasn't going back to the room.
Mitchell was confused, was he asking if he was rushing, or asking Onyx if she was rushing. "I'm not going to be suprised if we get throw many parties this year." Mitchell spoke getting into line in the food hall. He chuckled at the parties from last year, they had been crazy. Tooo crazy for the Dean.

Keira headed out of the building that held her Transfiguration class, slipping her wand into her purse with one hand as she slid a pair of sunglasses over her green eyes with the other. She'd spent half the lesson thinking about her cat, since it had been the only way to block out the conversations around her about sororities and the like. It wasn't that she wasn't interested, since she figured it would be better for her to join a sorority eventually, but she also hadn't wanted to start thinking about why she'd ended up at a university with so many really attractive professors. And for some reason thinking about sororities always led her mind down that route. Which made no sense whatsoever, and since she wasn't about to ask Onyx about it, it was easier to just focus on her cat. Besides, Angus was cute anyway, so it worked.
And, on the subject of her roommate, she wondered where she was. Granted, they hadn't shared this class period, but it was always interesting being around her. Oh well, Keira thought, as she flicked some of her dark blonde hair behind her back. It was a lovely day outside, and she had a free period coming up. Heading out into the grounds, she figured she could touch base with Onyx later. She needed some fresh air right now.
Dominic walked out of his Transfiguration class that had just finished. He had paid close attention to what the Professor had just been talking about and taking a lot of notes. Force of habit. Something that, even in college, had been hard to break. He watched as a girl he had seen from the class walk out. He had saw her paying hardly any attention to what was going on around her. Dominic decided to follow her for the heck of it and see where she was headed. He had a free period next and he still hadn't come accustomed to not having any homework at the minute.
He watched as she headed toward the grounds and tried to keep up with her. Dom finally reached her and stepped in front of her. Hopefully she wouldn't run into him.
On his way to the cafeteria, he halted outside Amelia's office and went over to knock however, something stopped him from doing so. With a sigh and one last glance at the door, he made his way into the cafeteria, Mya's luggage still in his grasp. The cafeteria was in it's typical condition, like he had imagined it would be.
Freddie was drinking som cold pumpkin juice in solitude as the sweat ebbed away. The lesson had been quite gruelling. Trying to get back into good sprits he thought about a hot bath in the boys bathrooms later and maybe a nice game of chess with Jospeh. It was after all well earned after what Professor Treux had put him through. Hearing footsteps behind and then his name uttered "Mr Thompson. Are you busy? I may need assistance." Just perfect. There went that few moments of peace.
Still painfully aware of his flustered features Freddie turned to look up into whom else than Professor Treux eyes "Sir! No I'm not busy. I just finished lunch. What can I assist you with?" The bags at Professor Treux's feet gave Freddie some indication of what the professor needed of him but he could after all be wrong.

Jill gave a bit of a jump as Kat suddenly appeared again, mentioning that she wouldn't leave until she ate something, leaving the girl no choice. Jill nodded her head obediently, taking the bowl into her hands though she seemed a little flustered at the moment. Kat seemed great so far, but she could be a little scary. Especially when she was holding the girl hostage until she finished her pasta.
And so, Jillian began to take small hesitant bites from her pasta, and nodded her head as Kat shared that she could give her a tour when she was done. "Sounds good," muttered Jill with a small smile, watching her go before turning to face one of the paintings on the wall. What had she gotten herself into?! She just hoped Kat wouldn't hold her hostage past one, that's when her next class started.
"Eat up, eat up, you look as pale as a ghost!" said the woman in the portrait that hung before Jillian. Jill rolled her eyes and turned her back to it, heading back to the kitchen to finish her pasta in peace.

"An extra five if you ask for pillows," he added, raising his eyebrows slightly before letting out a laugh. He allowed his green eyes to roam over the campus grounds, recognizing a few faces before returning his attention to Syler as he mentioned how it was humorous to get Kat involved in all of this. "Ah, Kat..." Oliver sighed. "Best-looking sorority house mum we've got, but the strictest too. She's a bit of a double-edged sword in that sense," he said with a faint smile. He watched as Syler then proceeded to vanish his tray before suggesting they head over to the fraternity house. "Let's go," said Oliver, a grin lighting up his features. "Let's see if we can catch some of the other guys on our way there, too."

Dusty was exhausted and she's only been to one class yet that morning. With a sigh, she dropped her school backpack on the floor beside the table she had chosen. Taking a seat, she finally took the time to look around the large cafeteria. Merlin's Beard... it was enormous! Life at Hogwarts had been so simple compared to this... Dusty didn't know if she was going to survive the new 'Uni' experience that she had been looking forward to for her entire life.
Looking up longingly at the large lunch counter, Dusty wished she had the needed energy to get up and get something to eat. She'd had a late start this morning and missed breakfast. Speaking of a late start, she hadn't seem her room mates, Jill and Layla, yet today either. They had been gone when she woke-up. Dusty hoped they were having a better day than she was....

Kat ate her pasta quickly and cleaned up the leftovers and the dirty dishes she made. She tucked the last pan away in the cupboard as she heard Maynard from the other room telling Jill to eat. She laughed and amost dropped the pan in the process. Kat turned to the table and took a sip of her iced tea, it was refreshing for her. "You've met Maynard." Kat smiled as she cleaned the surfaces of the kitchen quickly.

Mitchell noticed the quietness of his friend. "Getting homesick?" he asked, he was now searching for a new subject to change the current one. Food...parties...aha..."You two going to join the Greeks?" he asked referring to the sororities and frats on campus.

"I think I am getting homesick," Onyx sighed. And then Mitchell mentioned Greeks. Eww. That was not something that interested Onyx. "Not a chance." Greeks were just soooo.... cliche. Onyx did not enjoy conforming, nor did she enjoy doing things that everyone else did.
They finally entered the eating hall. Great, it smelt so yummy in there.

That first class has been so boring, and Rosalind was extremely glad that it was over. Flicking her brunette hair out of her eyes she wandered along, towards the food hall. She wanted something to eat, and she had forgotten to pick something up from her room, again as it seemed. She adjusted her bag on her arm, as she pushed the door open, hoping that she would find Barbie, her best friend here, because she could totally not eat alone.
Ahh. As it seemed Barbie was not here, which was bad, because that meant that Rosie would need to find someone else to sit with, for now at least.
She brushed past a few freshman's as she wandered towards where the food was laid out, and she picked up an apple, smiled at the woman stood there, before turning around, to find someone to sit with. She would find someone, she was Miss Rosalind Archibald, who was always popular. She just had to find someone worthy of her attention.

Halfway down the pathway into the grounds, Keira thought she heard someone behind her, but she didn't bother turning around. As far as she knew, nobody on campus had seemed like a stalker, or dangerous, and it wouldn't have bothered her if they did. She could take care of herself. Continuing to walk, still a little lost in her thoughts, she forgot about the noise until suddenly she had to stop short as a figure stopped directly in her pathway.
Green eyes widening behind her sunglasses, it took a second for her to break free of her initial surprise, then she grinned a little wryly. "Do you always try and make girls run into you, or is this a special circumstance?," she asked, before looking at him a bit closer. "You were in Transfiguration, weren't you?" She may have been occupying her mind during class with other things, but that didn't mean she hadn't looked at her classmates first.

"A bit nosy, she seems," said Jill making a bit of a face as Kat pointed out that she had just met Maynard. Jill didn't appreciate being forced into things, especially by a painting, but made no more objections. Instead, she continued eating her pasta quietly and peacefully until, a few minutes later, the bowl was empty. She felt like she was about to explode. But she was a little scared Kat might reprimand her if she left even one bit of pasta left. "Can I get that tour now?" she asked the older woman quietly.

"No, I think it's 'if any man is smart, he won't get caught messing with Kat's girls'," the boy corrected with a grin. "What she doesn't know won't hurt her. Or us," he added absentmindedly as they began to walk across campus, in the direction of the sorority and fraternity houses.
