It was the middle of the year, in the newly opened and magical international school, and a group of picked students were offered the chance - the chance of a lifetime, mind I add - to go to Egypt to study for a semester. The students agree to the "study abroad" and were immediately packed and whisked away to Egypt.
They arrived in the newly renovated town - a town that was built on the ancient city of Hamunpatra, or, as you may know it, the city of the Dead. The students are psyched to get started exploring the tombs, and they instantly get to work.
However, during a sandstorm, a tomb was uncovered. The Tomb of Anubis. People thought Anubis was a god, but in fact, they didn’t know he actually walked on the earth, once, many thousands of years before.
The group of students eagerly enter the tomb, excited that they found what they thought was a tomb that never existed, they set to work, exploring the many rooms of the maze of the tomb.
They soon find, however, a book of hieroglyphics, which fortunately, one of the students could translate. What did the student translate? Why, "The Book of the Dead".
The students go back to the inn they were staying at, talking about what happened that day, vowing they wouldn’t tell anyone what they found unless they were certain it was the God’s tomb. They all agreed happily, then continued their conversation.
But for the next few days, odd things were happening. The students find out that they can’t use magic anymore, and horrible things kept happening to the locals. In a desperate attempt to find out what was happening, one of the students did some research, and came up with a theory. The Ten Plagues of Egypt were happening all over again, and there was another ancient book that was connected with "The Book of the Dead" called, "The Book of the Living," They find out that the Book of the Dead gives the dead life, while the Book of the Living takes life away.
Now, the students must figure how to stop the Ten Plagues and the killings, and figure out how to get their hands on the Book of the Living, to try and save all of Egypt.

Teresa's eyes sparkled. 'Yeah! I am! How did you know?' She asked. She couldn't believe that Roslyn knew her language. From everyone she met from other places where Portuguese wasn't spoken not one of those people knew how to say a word in that language and finally meeting someone who could at least identify the language made her feel incredibly happy.

Ooc: From Alina to Allie, eh, Elz? XD Jaeke glanced at his book of heiroglyphics, then nodded. "Yeah, I do," he said to Alina, answering her question. "It's easy," he added, almost smugly. He then turned his head to Lori, then arched an eyebrow. "Who said that? All I asked was if she understood it. No need to take an attitude with me," he said, mock-pouting. He paused, then flicked his gaze to Roslyn and Teresa - mainly Roslyn - and shrugged. "Whatever," he mumbled, snapping his headphones back on and went back to his seat, slouching in it and staring out his window. In a moment, however, he knocked off the headphones again, stopped the music and sat up. He glanced outside, then let out a small, "cool.." They had just arrived in Egpyt, and - although they felt dead-tired - well, Jaeke did, just a bit, it was bright daylight outside. In about a half-hour though, the plane landed at the edge of the desert, near a small town. There were tents already set up outside, and people were bustling about. Jaeke got up quickly, as he grabbed his book and things, then let himself out of the plane after it stopped, bounding down the stairs and dropping his luggage, staring at everything, just taking it in. In a moment, however, he let out a 'hmmph' and a scowl, turning back and mumbling, "..I thought we were supposed to have this to ourselves.." -- [over-view pic ]

Seth muttered about stupid bumpy plane rides as the plane grinded to a halt. He stood up and grabbed his backpack and holdall, he wasn't one for bring too much stuff with him it would all just get dirty anyway. He followed Jaeke down the steps and put his holdall with Jaeke's luggage.
"Nice looking place ain't it?" He muttered as he walked past, he decided to start looking around and exploring.

Samantha sighed and closed her book, relieved that the flight was finally over. She was getting sick of hearing the arguing. Grabbing her backback, she moved down the aisle of the plane and stepped out into the bright sunlight.
"Wow" she breathed as she looked around. She caught sight of the boy named Jaeke and frowned, hoping that he would behave for the rest of the trip. As she continued to look around, she spotted another boy who was beginning to wander off. She hurried after him and said. "Hello! Seth, right? I'm Samantha." she smiled.

ooc: I've edited my first post with the profile. I know I'm late again, but I'm gathering this doesn't surprise anyone anymore, so yeah...  With an imperiously heaved sigh, Thomas got off the plane. To him, the journey was one long excuse for boredom, like so many others, though he was grateful enough to the quarrelsome bloke [Jaeke] for making it less dull than he foresaw it. He sure seemed interesting, and Thomas did not dislike his attitude. At least he had one. So many people lacked a proper one those days, the lad thought.
Ushering a strand of hair away from his eyes, he squinted his already slanting eyes to grasp a better view of the place. Impressive indeed, but it wasn't the first time Thomas had been to Egypt. He had to thank his rich and keen- on-travelling parents for that.
His hopes weren't high as to this project thingie he had embarked upon. These activities were either tedious, either lacking in any type of seriously educational results.
Keeping his classy travelling bag in one hand, Tom took a few steps forwards, taking in the scenery. He was worried about his tan, at the moment. | |

'It's beautiful!' Teresa said as she looked through the window. If she felt just a little tired than now she didn't. A big smile came across her lips when they landed. She grabbed her bag and put her iPod and book inside it. She followed the people who were leaving. She couldn't wait to be outside and see how people behaved there, it surely would be different from her home and she felt really curious. She looked at Roslyn. Roslyn grabbed her luggage and walked off the plane. She dumped it by everyone else's and took in the view. It was even better than she had imagined. She couldn't wait to get exploring, so she headed over to the group. Roslyn walked over to Teresa.
"Sorry about not answering. I'm just taking in this view. It's amazing. Anyway, my parents made me take lessons in different languages. One of them was Portugeuse, and may I say, colourful language you used!" She laughed. She knew what Teresa had said, but didn't want to bring it up in front of the others.
"So, can you speak any other languages?"

"I studied French, but I am awful at it. Some Latin, Greek, and obviously English. So, how d'ya get picked for this trip then?" Roslyn replied. She liked Teresa, she seemed a bit shy, but that was expected. After all, all of them had met only hours ago. Roslyn was feeling a bit nervous about it, but they were going to have become close soon, as to do the project. She was glad she made a friend in Teresa.
