The beginning of a new term is finally here and the cool September air is lightly rolling in through the windows cracked open on the south side of the classroom. The classroom is set up quite normally, with several rows of desks, split into three columns for easy access to the front of the room. In the front of the room is a standard chalkboard with a slightly taller than normal wooden table a few feet in front of it. To the left is the professor's desk.
At that desk sits the new Charms Professor, Pierson Fuller, his feet comfortably propped up on his desk as he finishes his post-breakfast apple and watches the students file in for Charms class.
Say hello if you wish, but class will begin shortly!
OOC: Class has begun! If you are late, please don't announce it. Just pretend you've been here all along!

"If you didn't read, or if you forgot, or just didn't care enough to retain this information, my name is Professor Fuller, and I am your new Charms Professor." Also obvious.
Piers gave a look towards the Kettleburn girl. "The chicken dancing made my morning, by the way." He then looked out to the whole class. "I'll give five points to anyone who can top that entrance next lesson."
He clapped again. "Rightio, let's get started! Starting with a hypothetical situation." Piers paused for a moment and slowly started to walk down one of the isles between the desks. "You are paralyzed from the waist down. Your neck is broken and, therefore, unable to move. Also, your arm is broken. Luckily, your wand arm is fully functional and you just so happen to have your wand in hand." So basically, all you can use is your wand. That might have been easier to say, but he was trying to paint a picture here.
"Suddenly, you notice something hurtling towards your face!" In a split second, Pierson unholstered his wand and created a (very) small explosion of colorful lights which broke into tens and tens of tiny little balls of light that suddenly few into each of the student's faces and STOPPED. RIGHT in front of their noses. Literally a couple inches away.
GOOD MORNING.
Pierson paused and watched the students curiously. A few seconds later, he gave his wand a swish and the lights all herded together and disappeared out the open window. "What would you do? How would you stop it from breaking your face, whatever it was?"
Top the chicken dancing next lesson? West considered it. Maybe. Depended on his mood yeah?
West eyed the light in front of his face without flinching and listened to the question and considered Revertoscutum, which would transfigure any object to its original form, and Impiriano which was a solid shield rather than just a spell deflecting shield. Maybe Immobulus to stop the thing in its tracks. Or Relashio to grab it and spring it off in another direction. Or one of the exploding spells to break the thing up into pieces. Because well, we didn't know what it was right?
But finally he put his hand up. "If its a solid thing, the cushioning charm could work, and would have the added benefit of, when the thing lands, making sure that the thing just stays there and ends up being a barrier to any other solid things what might get tossed at you. And it'd be the easiest one to cast because you'd probably be in a lot of pain and be less able to focus." And most big shields needed plenty of that? Yeah. West nodded once. That was his answer.

Adi listened to the Professor speak. He was wondering about this subject a lot as his mom loved it a lot and now Professor Fuller described it as being the best class at Hogwarts.
Anyway, back to reality. Woah...that sounded painful! All the broken stuff. He watched as the man made some colourful things and then with one wand movement sent a ball of the stuff flying towards each student. The firstie bearly had time to think when the ball froze directly in front of his face. He eyed it. He couldn't physically block it or use his wand given all the broken stuff.
Adi raised his hand. "Erm. Maybe the Blasting Curse would work, Professor.''
That was kinda cool in a way.. she was jotting down her name and house and all that jazz and listening when she looked up just in time to see a light FLYING towards her face and it took everything in her not to reach for her wand and shield herself as she saw it stop right infront of her face. "wouldnt protego work?" she said after puttubg her hand up, casual protection charm right? Wouldnt that make most sense?

Clearly, everyone was excited by the sigh of it. Interesting lesson. Cassia sat waiting for the rest of the students to arrive. Meanwhile, she stared down at her desk after getting out a notebook and a quill. Since she decided to take notes during this year's lessons. So far, she was doing so, no one knew when she'd change her mind.
Then the handsome professor was talking. Cassia turned her attention to him. She paid to all professors, no really.
As nice and exciting his first couple of sentences were, the ones that followed didn't sound really pleasing. Paralyzed and broken. Ouch. But then again, it was just assuming and there was a bigger picture. She didn't let her mind mull on the situation that was provided for them.
She paused thinking of an answer then raised her hand and simply answered. "I'd use Evanesco," You know the vanishing spell. To get rid of the thing all together. Would that work? "Since my neck is broken," She paused noticing how weird that sounded and hoping she'd never say that in her life. "Slowing down the object might still mean it'll hit me even lightly and that'll be lots of pain." Ouch. She winced just thinking about it and instinctively rubbed her neck. Also, she thought that causing the object to blast, might hurt the eyes? She didn't say that though.
The fifth-year leaned back and listened on to the other's answers.

So basically, her body was completely useless even though she had a wand. And there was something hurtling towards her face. SUPER.
Ariel tentatively raised her hand in the air. "I suppose you could use a cushioning charm, " she began "But if you have a broken neck and arm, you're going to have to cast the spell without speaking it."

Thanks for the cupcakes? Mo turned in his seat and gave Cat an extremely amuuuuuuused look. She was making cupcakes for the professor? Eyebrows for you, girlfriend.
He turned back around just in time to nearly go nose to nose with the ball of light. Now that was wicked... what did it feel like? Mo reached out and brushed his fingertips across the surface, just to see if it felt like anything. Hmm. He wanted to learn this spell. Imagine it at parties!
"What about the Impediment Jinx? It would slow the projectile down, and in some cases you can use the jinx to propel the projectile away again." He made a motion like he was pushing the ball of light away from his body to demonstrate.
Kalla listened to the others and twirled her quill around lazily until she heard that one kid. Saying something about one being in pain... Were they allowed to debate in this class? Or build on other people's answers?
"Doesn't paralysis mean one has no feeling? So why would we be in pain if paralyzed and unable to concentrate? Would a broken arm break ones concentration that badly?" Legit question was legit, no? Besides. Kalla had broken things before and found that it did not impede her ability to perform magic...
Hypothetical situations. Okay. Lottie was more than willing to listen to this and then her eyebrow went up. Well, what do you know? That was SOME hypothetical situation. It's not like they weren't already dying, stupid universe, they were going to SUFFER while dying. Geez, thanks.
HA? Was the sparks thing supposed to wake them up or to be funny? She was already AWAKE. And this hypothetical thing was not funny at all. Nope. So, let's sum up, hand up, "So, hypothetically speaking, not only am I paralyzed with a broken neck, but there's something coming at me as well...," there was a sliiightly sarcastic tone, clearly, "...where am I, exactly?" THIS was a very important question. "Context. See?" Because at this moment her luck had ran out, which meant she was probably also thrown into a lake or something or at the top of Mt. Everest, and well, context really wasn't that important, but the sparks did her no good.
"At any rate I'd try to either disappear it or protect myself...," had been mentioned, yes, "...or change the something that's been thrown at me so it doesn't hurt me. If it's not freezing then perhaps something in liquid form, so when it hits me I can at least tell I'm alive. But it depends on context." Got it?
So, who here remembers the Black Hole lesson? Can she get tea after this?
Charms! It was one of his favourite classes. he just hoped that THIS Professor was not going to shove ice cream down their throats.
Michael walked into the classroom, noted the Professor at his desk and inclined his head at the man. "Good day Sir." he said as he continued passed the desk and on his way to find a seat.
He sat down beside a Hufflepuff that looked to be his age (bitsyandtank) and noticed the boy's puffed out chest. Mikey leaned over and whispered to the boy. "Do you have something shoved down the front of your shirt?" If so could he see what it was?
As he waited for the class to start, a young boy sat down beside him and asked why he was, well, puffed. "Have you seen the way these girls look at him" Asher gestured towards the professor. "He's not that good looking." He shook his head and exhaled loudly. "I'm Asher, by the way. I know we have had classes together before, but I can't seem to remember your name."
Just as he was about to extend his hand out to greet his new desk mate, projectiles came blasting towards his face, stopping just inches away. Doing his best to contain the scream boiling up inside of him, Asher squished up his face and hoped for the best.
Realizing the danger was over, Asher took a moment to compose himself before answering. "I'd preform some sort of shielding charm, Oh, or you could turn the projectiles into feathers. But, I guess that would be more of a transfiguration thing."
Why in the world would anyone ever be in that much pain? Just the thought of a broken anything sounded like it hurt but breaking your neck aaaand your arm?! Yeah, sure, his wand arm would be fine but now there were things flying at him?!
Christopher flinched as the little ball the professor conjured up came flying at him and stared intensely at it as it floated before him. Maybe he was wrong, maybe this class wouldn't be fun? He didn't like getting hurt and he didn't like having things flown at him...unless it was pie, in which case he'd simply open him mouth and hope to get most of it in his mouth.
Anyhow, back to the class. Chris wasn't ever very good at spells and charms so he couldn't exactly answer the question with an answer but he could answer with a question, right? Raising his hand, he said, "Can we talk if our neck is broken? Would we even want to talk if our neck is broken? It sounds like it would really hurt and maybe the thing flying at me won't hurt so maybe I could just lay there and do nothing?" If a teddy bear was hurtling towards him, Chris was sure it would just feel softy and fluffy, not painful. Doing nothing always sounded like the best answer anyhow.

Minerva sat down and started listening. She hoped a certain puff wasn't in the room as he talked about this scenario, because the next thing you were going to see was Brodie wheeling himself in a wheel chair all over school with one hand saying the rest of him was broken. She had to hold a laugh in at her own thoughts. Focusing back on class Minerva thought, so they were unable to move all except their...
O_O
All of a sudden something was coming at them. Minerva threw her hands up over her face. "NO MORE BEARDS.. NO.. NO" She glanced to see light.. OH... Que a horrible blush.. "I.. I.. I'm sorry professor.. It's just I.. was caught off guard." She frowned and looked down wanting to crawl in a whole. Really this term was a huge fail at this point. Putting her hand up part way, "Could you use Depulso sir?" Scooting down in her chair again maybe she could just hide the rest of term.
Marissa sat there and thought about not being able to move her entire body and winced, Gosh that has to be tough. she thought to herself. Then turned towards the professor, "Well your best bet is some sort of blocking or shielding spell so you wouldn't get hit by whatever spell is coming at you." She hoped that was right she didn't want to embarrass herself.

Alice was the professor's favorite, already? Sure. That made sense. Dora watched her best take a seat beside her before turning all of her attention back on the professor. That was, before there was this ball of light suddenly in her face and the fifth year was staring at it unblinking, then her eyes narrowed speculatively. What WAS it? She kind of got slightly distracted from the question.
Not that she'd voiced a response anyway. It wasn't something Dora did that often. But she was listening intently to all the responses given, thinking about her own, and staring at the professor more. This time considerably less focused on his looks and more on the lesson.

Oh cool she got to sit like that too. No questions here. Lex wasted no time in getting nice and comfy but she wouldn't sleep, especially not now that Lottie was claiming the seat next to her. Whispering and an amused look. "I'm gonna miss Knox too." That served as both a 'hi' and an acknowledgement of the fact that she understood. For reasons she didn't get, Lottie liked saying Ivy Knox...not much reason to say it now that the woman was gone.
Alexa looked to the pretty Professor who'd jumped right into a question that had her eyes widening. What in merlin's beard would she have been doing to get herself into such a situation in the first place??
Her hand shot up. "It would really all depend. My first instinct would be to blow it up before it could get close enough to hurt me but it's like what Lottie says, it all depends. Like, what's coming at me? A chimaera? A boulder? Hot tea? My Great Aunt's old wig? Would it be worth blocking? If it's chocolate, I gotta say Professor...I'd just open my mouth and hope it catch at least one piece." Being strictly logical here.
No need to blow up candy.

This new professor was...really nice to look at. Eliza was getting small waves of thoughts, back and forth like the tide. Pay attention to the lesson! said one thought. But soon it faded away and was replaced with another. Gosh, he's just so...well he's funny and charismatic! She watched him as he greeted all of the students personally.
Stop it! He'll catch you looking! Think of a spell! she thought after he posed his question. But those firework things were so pretty...and creative! And his outfit...and his hair... Hearing the other students rattle off answers helped her next change of thoughts and she found an idea. Answer, Eliza. Now! She raised her hand and offered up her solution. "Professor, would the Ventus Jinx work? One could use the wind blast to cast aside the object." It wasn't a charm though...and they were in Charms class, but it was what she thought of. She sat her hands back in her lap and fought the urge to let her mind wander again.
Adelaide continued to smile at Professor Fuller. Man, he was dreamy. She could see that this class was going to be very hard to pay attention in. Anyways...back to what he was saying.
Top a chicken dance and she got five points? Honestly she didn't have any idea how to top that. Maybe she could bake. Her parents always said her baking was fantastic. They even had her bake whenever they had parties instead of catering in the desserts. But she doubted that would count as topping a chicken dance. Who did that in the first place?
Parlyzed, broken neck, broken arm. Jeez. Okay. So she had her wand arm. That was good at least. Adelaide let out a little scream as the thing flew right at her face. That had to be the most embarrassing thing she'd done in a long time. Her face turned beat red as she slouched in her seat a bit, staring at the little light that had caused this whole mess.
Once she got over her embarrassment, well partially, she raised her hand to answer the question. "Protego would be the best. That way it wouldn't cause anymore damage to me." Addi muttered, obviously still embarrassed.
Suddenly a whizzing ball of light was coming straight towards her face!!"Protego!" she instantly shouted, then blushed when she realized that it was just a simulation and that it would have stopped on its own. Her spell dissipated and she decided to lay low for a bit. Once a couple students answered she ventured to raise her hand.
"Er, well, I would use the 'Protego' spell. It's fast, easy to remember, and its not overly complicated." She said meekly. Just in case you missed her sudden outburst.
"Alrighty," he said, clapping his hands together once and rubbing them together. "Welcome to the first lesson of the best class in Hogwarts. Charms." Obviously.
Kace saw the girl doing the chicken dance and he approved. He wished he did that when he entered the class. Hmm...maybe next time? He thought. Yup..next time! Then he heard the Professor start the lesson and knew he should pay attention. Plus Kace noticed the girls drooling over him and he just rolled his eyes.
So his name was Professor Fuller? Hmmm make a mental note. Then he asked about a hypothetical situation. Alright let's see what he got. Kace listened and was nodding and imagining himself in that situation. What spell would he use. Gladly his wand arm was working. Kace raised his hand, "Professor i would use the Protego charm like the others said. It seems only logical."
As the last students filed in, Pierson tossed his apple core into the rubbish bin, swung his legs off of his desk and stood up to his feet to get a good look at the students before him.

Cutty wanted to keep his eyes on the bright balls of light, but found the light too intense to not immediately shut them. He withdrew a little, a nasty sneer on his face as his personal space was invaded. Had he been on the other side of the casting he would've found it fun, however.
Hypothetically, huh? Having been the very example of monkey-see monkey-do for the entirety of his first year thus far, Cutty threw up his dirty little hand and offered, "If you were old enough and it weren't Hogwarts, and you knew how, you could disapparate, couldn't you. Hypothetically."
But it all depended on what it was that was coming at him. And what if it wasn't a solid object? Or an object at all? Could all spells deflect against one another no matter what they were? Cutty's little brain was all abuzz.

Sitting back in his seat he watched as the professor began to speak and scoffed at the mention of the one student who did a chicken dance. Anyone who does something stupid like that doesn't deserve points, but mental professional help... he thought to himself. But that was enough of thinking of such nonsense. On to the lesson. As he watched the professor walk down one of the aisles he raises his eyebrow listening to his words carefully. As he continued to listen he was completely caught off guard by a little light that shot right towards his face. Logan flinched slightly as he sat straight up from being all relaxed. He was now tensed up and just kept his focus on the light before it disappeared out of the window.
This bloke is mad. MAD I TELL YOU! WHO BLOODY SHOOTS LIGHTS IN YOUR FACE THIS EARLY IN THE MORNING?! MEIN GOTT IN HIMMEL!! Logan said angrily in his mind to himself. What WOULD Logan use to protect himself id something was thrown at him like that? He thought for a moment before clearing his throat, lifted his hand up slightly and then said, "Protego can work, or if you are thinking on your toes quick enough you can use the backfiring jinx." He said with a shrug and sat back in his seat again.

Caleb let out a loud gasp when the tiny ball of light came towards his nose, and he pushed his seat back so fast he nearly toppled over. But he managed to stop himself (just barely) and just STARED at the ball of light that hung in the air in front of him.
After his heart started to slow down after it nearly EXPLODED due to shock, he raised his hand. "You'd deflect it, Professor. Probably with a shield charm," he said. At least, that's what HE would do.

Well, this one seemed normal. Sarcasm. But at least he wasn't weird in the Frenchy French way, and it seemed like this class was going to go somewhere interesting yet relevant. Thank goodness. Sky moved her a head a few inches backwards from the light in front of her nose and thought about the question for a second. Hmmm.. what would she do in that hypothetical situation? "I would cast a Sheild Charm, cast the first curse I could think of in the direction the object came from plus to it's immediate left and right, then send a Patronus for help." Seemed reasonable to her. Because you never know how fast your opponent can move.......

Aha, first student of the day was a Gryffindor. He nodded to the girl as she walked in and began asking questions already. "As long as you don't kick anyone in the head, I don't see why not." Common sense, right?
Another Gryffindor, no surprise. Piers also gave him a nod as he took a seat. "Hello to you," he replied coolly before taking another bite of his apple.
And there was a familiar face, he noted as the Slytherin girl entered his classroom. "Pleasure to see you again, Miss Moretti," he said. Also, "The cupcakes were delicious."
The first Hufflepuff, and the Head Boy no less. Piers had made sure he knew all of the names of the students with badges before the first lesson. "Hello to you, Mr. Potter."Mr. Potter. That sounded... cool. He'd never had a Potter as a student before.
Well, this was a cheery one, eh? Not really, but it didn't bother Piers terribly. They would have fun later. He would MAKE them. "'Lo," he replied simply.
A first year, from the looks of it. Ah, and he was right. "Pleasure to meet you, Caleb Newell, first year. I also happen to be looking forward to what I'm teaching this year, so I think we're in a good spot." He nodded at the kid and continued to eat his apple.
Professor... what? Fac...? "Hello to you," he replied with a nod, wondering what the prefect almost called him. Maybe he had slipped and almost referred to him as a former charms professor. WHO KNEW.
Oh my, she was a happy one. Seemed to be floating on cloud nine. Walking on sunshine. And she had daisies, how splendid! Piers accepted it and looked at her, trying not to show how amused he was. "Helllo, and thank you." How was his summer? "Eventful," he replied simply. Didn't want to dampen the mood with a real answer.
"Good morning, Captainnnnn..." darn, what was it..? "Bishop!" AHA. See, he remembered. All good.
Nod. That's all he got. One singular nod.
"Good morning to you," he replied as he chewed his apple, completely aware that she was... gaze-lingering. Was that a thing?
The young Hufflepuff got himself a nod. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Rehman," he responded as the student found a seat. Hufflepuffs were so nice.
Op. Grumpy alert. "Yo," he replied. He'd keep his eye on this one.
"'Ello," he replied to the next student.
He totally saw that. The eyebrow thing. The professor chewed his apple and raised his eyebrows right back at her. "Good morning, Miss." Hmm. He would also keep an eye on her.
"Heeeello," he replied as another young one passed by. Ooh, was that who he thought it was? Heh.
Pierson nodded to the Gryffindor as she entered the room. "I am quite comfortable, you know? Quite." Why didn't he sit like this more often?
"Hello, student." He would learn their names eventually.
He also nodded to this one. "Erm hello to you, too," he replied. Not mocking him, just being... amused. Hufflepuffs.
Pierson had almost expected to see this one roll in on a skateboard (which he wouldn't have been totally against), but his entrance was quite normal. "Hello, neighbor." Nod.
"A good day indeed," he responded simply. This was a really good apple.
Seeing another student, the professor nodded. He looked quite young. "Good morning."
"Good day to you," he replied coolly. First years were funny little things, weren't they?
Ah, this was the pretend healer, wasn't it? The girl who had sat down in the Healer's chair at the feast. He'd be watching this one. "Why, thank you. Pleasure to meet you, Miss Wheatborn."
Pierson chewed his own apple and bounced his feet to a silent beat in his head. "G'day," he replied simply.
"Good day, student," he said in reply.

"Great Scott, that is fantastic to hear! We will get along SO well!" Wowza.
Another Potter, ey? "Pleasure to meet you, Miss Potter."
A head-incline. How cool. Piers returned the greeting. "Hullo."
Ahaaaa, yes... He knew this one. He had done his studying. "Good day to you as well, Mr. Branxton." At least, he really did hope he got that right. Could have been awkward if not.
"Very nice to meet you, Dylan Callaghan," he responded with a nod in his direction.
Another warm welcome. Pierson smiled at the student. "Thank you, Miss Eventide."
Was she doing the gaze-lingering thing too? Hm. "Hello to you" he replied with a nod.
The professor noted that look. He didn't know what he thought of it, but it was noted. He simply nodded back to her as she took a seat and, like, sized him up. Okay. Next.
"Hi there," he responded before returning his attention to his apple.
Oh. Well. How... nice. "Well, thank you," he said, rubbing the scruff on his chin fondly. "I'm a fan of it myself." Just saying.
"Good morning to you," he responded politely with another nod.
"Good morning," he responded to her cheery greeting. Oh, was that.. pink? "I do like your hair." How exciting.
Pierson opened his mouth to reply, but she quickly continued talking about... siting and society. Huh. Interesting thoughts. "You should write an article. Journalism." You know, if she didn't want to work in the Ministry or something. "Welcome to Charms. Sit how you like."
"Gooood morning," he replied, before inspecting his almost-gone apple. Once he was done, class would begin.
Pierson nodded at the first year and gave her a welcoming smile. "Welcome to Hogwarts, Miss Buratta."
"Hello, Head Girl Hudson." So many names, too little time. He was pretty sure that was the right one.
Pierson almost thought he heard the wind rush in behind this kid. "Hullo," he replied before glancing at the clock. Almost time to begin.
"Hola," he responded to the girl with a nod. But no, he didn't speak Spanish.
A nice Slytherin was always something to be wary of. Which, now that he thought about it, he supposed it could be said the same for him. "Nice to meet you, Miss Duvessa."
"Mooorning," he replied with a nod as she passed by his desk.
Sup. SUP. That was one of those greetings that was a question, but not REAL. Because this kid didn't really look like he cared what was up. Regardless, Piers nodded. "Sup," he responded, making a little pop sound at the end of the word.
"Good morning," he replied coolly to the blonde. She looked studious.
"Hey," he replied simply to the next student. Formalities. Pfft.
Professor Charmer? That was... fun. First years were cute. "Good morning... student charmer." Creativity fail.
"Good day," he responded as she took a seat.
..........
Well. He wasn't dumb, you know. So that look didn't go un-analyzed. But he ignored it. "Good," he replied simply, awkwardly looking away from the girl who was staring at him like a juicy piece of meat. Okaaay.
Oh, what a fantastic distraction. WHAT an entrance this was turning out to be. Chicken dancing? Fantastic! Pierson was watching the whole thing, desperately trying not to laugh when she plopped right down into the Ravenclaw Prefect's lap. Oh, this was a wonderful first day.
"Hellooo," he greeted to the next student that filed into the classroom. Just about time to get started...
Oh, one more. The other familiar one that brought him flowers, yes... "Yes, hello, Miss Fischer. Good timing."
As the last students filed in, Pierson tossed his apple core into the rubbish bin, swung his legs off of his desk and stood up to his feet to get a good look at the students before him.
"Alrighty," he said, clapping his hands together once and rubbing them together. "Welcome to the first lesson of the best class in Hogwarts. Charms." Obviously.
Blink. Blink.
Huxley found herself staring, mouth ajar. No she wasn’t ogling the Professor. Yeah sure she’d admit he’s a looker, but she wasn’t distracted about that. She was distracted by the hypothetical question. And the tiny starlight that was about to give her an Eskimo kiss.
Paralyzed from the waist down—so she cant turn her legs, she got that. But she was also supposed to have a broken neck—so wouldn’t that make her paralyzed from the neck down? Which kinda means she shouldn’t be able to feel her arms, much less move them. Uhm uhm uhm. Gotta leave logic by the door because Professor Dark-Locks said she can move her wand arm.
And then she’s gonna get a royal smackdown from Tinkerbell unless she does something. What would she do? What Would Huxley Do?
Raises a demure hand “Professor, given my state of immobility, and likely lack of limbic control....I would imagine I'd have a hard time making the proper wand movement. However given that everything from the neck up seems to be still working in this hypothetical situation, I would probably open my mouth and scream like a Banshee, hoping the sheer vibration of my voice will cast a soundwave powerful enough to reverse the trajectory of whatever it is that would harm my visage.”

As Dylan listened, he smiled at the professor. He liked Pier, he was really cool and seemed like a fun professor. He had a good feeling he'd enjoy this class-
WAIT WHOA WHAT WAS THIS RIGHT HERE IN HIS FACE?!
The first year blinked for a minute at the glowing ball floating right in front of him and he cocked his head slightly and glanced at the professor. What spell would he use? Dylan bit his lip. He actually didn't know the answer to this question, as he was only a first year and this was his first charms lesson...he actually didn't know much about ANY spells, sadly. Should he? Was this a requirement? He felt a bit uneasy all of a sudden but heard people shouting out answers and the majority of people were saying 'protego'.
Protego...hhmmm...
OH! Dylan was quite sure he had heard of that spell before, actually, and it sounded like the right answer to him. Mainly because everyone was saying it. He raised his hand and then said, "Protego, professor?" Right??? Right?!
