Jayden raised her hand. "Jayden Troutwater, first year. I would like to take the class at N.E.W.T level in the future, for I plan to become an Auror or something of the like.." Jayden answered politely, smiling nervously at the professor.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. This teacher was just plain scary. And she'd only been in the classroom for a few minutes.

"Good day professor. I'm Emily Smith and I'm in third year." Her voice was weaker than usual, but she was really scared of getting this teacher angry. Did she want to persue DADA to NEWT level? Um, she'd never really thought about it. Not really, but for her chosen career path may need it.
"I'd like to persue Defence against the Dark Arts because not only is my sister training to be an auror, I'd like to work with magical creatures and I'd need to know about dark creatures to help work with them." Yes, that was a good answer to her. She'd like to know what her sister did at the ministry, but learning about dark creatures was her chosen career path, so she'd have to take it.

Cael stood up after the person next to him had spoken, smoothing his robes and giving the professor a polite nod. He didn't want to offend her; she obviously had no qualms about taking gratuitous amounts of house points.

"A pleasure to meet you, Professor. My name is Caelius Ashdown and I am a first year." That should be good enough, he sat with a smile.

Daniel sat in his seat at the back. DADA wasn't his forte. But at least for this year he'd to study it. Then he could drop it along with his other pointless subjects. But that wasn't decided yet. Still some time left. Maybe it would be important for what he wanted to be?

Ehh. He could think about this later...First this lesson. And wasn't the professor miss gloom. But he'd co-operate. Detention was not affordable. "I'm Daniel Evans," Weasley but that could be left out, "Fifth Year" Now begin already!

Elise looked at the new DADA teacher, terrified already. Were all the teachers going to be this scary?!

Terrified, she answered the professor's question. "G-g-good d-day, p-prof-f-fessor. I-I-I'm El-l-lise F-f-fairf-field, proffessor," she stuttered. "First year."

Rose smiled as she raised her hand. People who did stupid things got punished! Simple fact in life. This teacher seemed strict, like teachers should be. 'Hello, Professor Glass, I'm Rose Deluise, Second Year' Rose smiled at the teacher.

At the sight of Josh Carter wearing high heels, Ellie had to bite her tongue to refrain from laughing or making a sarcastic remark. But of course, that didn't happen. "I'm surprised they found a pair big enough for his giant feet." Ellie muttered to herself, quietly laughing.

And of course, when Professor Glass walked in and gave him detention, it just made it all the better.

Ellie eyed the new professor apprehensively. She frowned slightly. Dang. She was kind of pretty. That made it harder for Ellie to dislike her. But she would still try anyway. And those spiked shoes? ...Interesting.

When it was her turn, Ellie stood confidently and didn't bother to smile. "Ellie Johanson, sixth year. I've decided to take this class to NEWT level... Because I feel like it." And that was that. But before she sat down, she looked down at the woman's boots and then back up at her before saying, "Nice shoes." And sat down.

Samuel was glad he was no longer a major factor in his house teams lack of points. "Samuel Reach, First Year, and I intend to pursue a NEWT in DADA because i want to learn as much as I can about magic," Samuel stated confidently.

Wow...wow...WOW!

Spiked boots and black robes! The professor resembled one of those women from cool movies. That was totally wicked! Kennedy shook his head, he was not going to stare, apparently she got down to business and fast. Slytherin was just taken off a lot more points. Eh, he didn't care about that as long as his marks were fine.

When his time came to introduce himself, Kennedy pushed his glasses back on his nose and spoke. "Hi. I'm Kennedy Escalante. Fourth year Slytherin..." He didn't know if he wanted to pursue DADA. It was his first year here and all. "I'm still not sure what I want to do in the near future, yet." Nope, up until a few months ago he wanted to be a veterinarian.

Thomas heard the click clack of heels and looked up finding this time it wasn't that Gryffindor boy but the professor.

He waited until it was his turn to speak. “I'm Tom Broadmoor. I'm a fird year.. bu' this is me first year at 'Ogwarts." He confessed hesitantly. "I woz.. late teh maagick.”

He shrugged, making it seem like he didn't care that he was behind, but looked down at his lap feeling rather embarrassed admitting it to the whole class.

Orchid turned around to see a beautiful woman in spiked heels walking up to the front of the class and being the source of the noise. Maybe I will like this class. She thought thinking that maybe a girl with some fashion sense wouldn't be to mean, but how very wrong she was as she soon learned that Professor Glass likes taking BIG points from the houses; she groaned as she heard that someone in Slytherin had lost house points, but took out her notebook anyways and began her notes.



Orchid raised her hand and smiled genuinely at the professor. "Good morning, Professor, my name is Orchid Danelli Simmons and I'm a fifth year. Previously homeschooled but I've transferred her for my last few years."

"Rosalie Hollis, First year, I want to persue Defense at NEWT level because I love to learn and I want to learn about as many areas of magic as possible."

Brooklyn was sitting somewhere in the middle of the classroom, eyes darting around as she looked around at her fellow classmates, curiously. It was not long before the teacher had gathered everyone's attention, and begun to speak. So, they were only introducing themselves? Easy enough. She could TOTALLY do that.

Once it was her turn, she stood, sweeping her long hair over one should before smiling at the rest of the class as a whole and last but not least, the teacher, Professor Glass. "I'm Brooklyn Petrov," No middle names, right? Good. "I'm in my fifth year, and i've just started here at Hogwarts, so i'm not sure whether i'm going to be taking Defense Against the Dark Arts at Newt level. I'm afraid i haven't thought much of it." Shrug.And with that being said, she was done. So, she sat back down.

Oh. Introducing each other. Well, that was easy, Gaby could do that. She listened as everyone else stood up - especially the boy who had been wearing the high heels - and waited for her turn. She was also slightly scared of this professor, and didn't want to anger her by speaking out of turn. No point in losing points, seeing as Ravenclaw definitely couldn't afford it at the moment.

Right. Well, there was a pause, so Gaby assumed she should fill it. She stood up to her full 4 feet, five inches - yes, she was short - and smiled around at the whole class. 'Hey, ya'll! I'm Gaby -Gabrielle - Parker, and I'm a Ravenclaw First Year. I don't really know yet if I'll take this class at a NEWT level.' the brunnette said, and gave everyone another smile before sitting down.

O__o What?! How come everyone was losing points this term! Auggie looked at the Professor with a bit of surpise and then sat up straighter in his chair and crossed his hands infront of him on his desk--the perfect student pose. He wasn't about to lose more points for Gryffindor from this lady or any other Professor.

After hearingt he instructions, the third year stood up beside his desk and spoke up so she could hear him. "Hello Professor, my name is August Goldstein, and I'm a thrid year Gryffindor. As for taking DADA on as a NEWT I would assume I would, I am just a transfer student at the moment and have never had the subject before but I've read that it's very important." A quick smile and then he sat back down.

Okay then, they were meant to be introducing themselves for the class, Annabeth stood up, "Hi everybody!" she said cheerfully, "I'm...I'm..." she kicked herself, "I'm Annabeth Kane, and I'm a Ravenclaw first year, and I have no idea yet if I want to persue this subject at NEWT level, but I presume that I would like to." she said, before sitting down.

How did she forget her own NAME!!!

"I'm Mickey Darley." She lost ten house points in charms, but this ubject seemed to at least interest her. She was hoping that this time if she was observent enough, or logical then she could get the house points back. "I'm a first year," her eyes smiled, and she was, for once, ready to learn

Sierra glanced up, quite nonchalantly, as the professor walked into the room. Professor Whatever-her-name's attitude didn't phase Sierra much. Lafay, after all, was her role model and favorite professor. She was used to this sort of tone by now. The points loss, though, was a little much in her opinion. What was it with the professors and docking points this term? Maybe the students were now going to compete for most points loss in one term or something...

When it was her turn, Sierra raised her hand and said, "I'm Sierra Greingoth, a third year Slytherin." She wasn't a NEWT student yet, so she didn't comment on the last part of the question. She lowered her and listened as the rest of the students chimed in. Meh. When could they start warding off dementors or something?

Charles was sitting in the back of the class, because he had no intention whatsoever to join in any discussion or anything. He was very sleepy and hoped that he could doze off peacefully at the back of the class, that was until the Professor walked in. Uh-Oh. It seemed that a couple of students were fooling at the front of the class with a camera and high-heels and the Professor had taken THIRTY POINTS for that. From Slytherin and Gryffindor.

This quite put an end to Charles' sleeping fantasies, as he didn't want to lose Gryffindor any more points. This Professor seemed more than inclined to take them off. :O He listened to her, as she asked them to introduce themselves and whether they were going to continue to NEWT level. He looked around at his fellow students while they answered, and couldn't help but snigger when a first year (by the looks of her), mistaked NEWT level for lizards. HA.

"Charles Fitzgerald, Fifth year." He answered the Professor putting his hand up. "There isn't a chance of me continuing to NEWT level, unless I'm bullied into it that is, " He added, thinking that his twin sister, Cherry, was probably going to force him to take a NEWT in DADA for his 'future'. Frown.

Max shifted nervously in his seat as other students made introductions. He smiled at Ellie's voice across the room. When eyes fell on him a minute later, he cleared his throat and told the professor, "I'm Maximus James, a fourth year." That was all he needed to say, right? Yeah, that should suffice. Hm. Defense the Dark Arts at the NEWT level was an intimidating idea, though he was sure he would make it that far. It wasn't his best subject, but he certainly wasn't bad at it.

The sound of the boots proceeded the sound of the woman as the Professor finally entered the classroom. Gideon turned his attention back to the front of the classroom having been meerly sitting quietly with his book while the rest of the class seemed occupied with chatting. Hearing her take off soo many points for the apparent actions of the older Gryffindor and Slytherins, the fourth year bit back a grown.

This term was getting off to a great start...Not.

"Gideon Gert, Professor," he supplied when it was his turn as they went around the classroom. "4th year," he added leaving out any answer to the NEWT question since it didn't apply to him And unlike his fellow Gryffindor Kurumi, he didn't have any idea that far.

Raising a hand "Damon Cunderthorne here Professor, and i am in my 6th year at this school, i have every intention of taking the NEWT's exams when that time comes along" said Damon.

Lexi sat with a somewhat satisfied smirk on her face. She did not give a hoot about house points to be quite frank and the two of THEM losing points made her heart soar. Heh. Raising her hand she said, "Lexi Kennedy, Professor. I am a seventh year Gryffindor and yes, I will be sitting Defense on NEWT level. I chose to do so because I love DADA and I am not sure what I want to do with my future just yet, so I am keeping my options open." She then lowered her hand and folded it with the other in her lap.

Sarah shifted in her seat as Professor Glass walked in. Bloody skirt. She hated it. She looked up, ah, still wearing spiked heels, eh? Well, it wasn't like she had expected any better. As freaky as the heels were, they were sort of cool. In a emo-punk way. Sarah really didn't want to be stepped on by someone wearing those boots.

Hello again, Prof. "I'm Sarah Oliver, first year."

Short and simple. If she was lucky the professor wouldn't do anything to acknowledge their conversation at the staff table.

Daichi couldn't even think when he heard this. It was just too much of a shock that he couldn't think straight anymore. What was up with the Professors this year for taking so many points? And WHY was it always Slytherin?

He gaped up at the Professor as she started the lesson like nothing had happened. He raised his hand in the air, feeling somewhat..okay alot.. intimitated by this new Professor. Maybe Lord Borr hadn't been so bad... That man only give them homework which was at this point more fun than THIRTY HOUSE POINTS! She hadn't been serious right? it just...it couldn't! "M-my name is Daichi Katharos and, uhm.. I-i'm a second year....."
