"Noooo, I didn't." She'd been kind of distracted by how crap the dishes looked. There'd been a crusted clump of some kind of food on the edge of one of the firsties' plates, and the boy hadn't batted an eye. It was gross. "What were they like?"

He could feel Lexi patting his arm, then reached out to squeeze her hand in appreciation. Yes she knew him well enough that he is not to be taken lightly when he is in this particular mood. He heard her murmur something and although he didnt laugh at that, the twinkle in his eyes showed that he appreciated the humor "Why not glue them onto his feet? That way he'll never be able to get out of it for a while. "

"They had SPIKES." Tori nodded vehemently. "And and annnnnnnnnnd I hearrrrrrrrrrrrd this professor used to hunt werewolves." Or maybe it had been vampires? Either way... she sounded pretty awesome.

Tori remembered something else she oughta tell Hateya. "Oh yeah, and you know about the elves' strike, right? That's why all the food tasted like crap and the dishes were gross and stuff?"

Samara walked into the DADA classroom with her bag and made her way towards the front. She was quite excited for the lesson since this was her favorite subject. She took a seat looking around to see if any of her housemates were around and smiled to herself seeing a few. Sitting back in her seat, Samara took out her book and flipped through the pages as she waited for the instructor

Marilyn smirked down at the Gryffindor who was eating up the drama and playing victim. Actually, she was a bit surprised with how well he was doing this...

*eyeroll*

"We're mean? Maybe you should stop with the Rawr'ing and I-can-do-anything attitude. It's getting you into an awful lot of trouble. Just sayin'..."

She took her set back beside Cassie. Did they intent to use this incriminating photo to their advantage? Yes. Would it probably be in the Yearbook? Yes. Could Marilyn be bothered with his feelings on the matter? No.

Pulling out fresh parchments, an ink well, and quill, she prepared for the lesson.

As Em entered the Defense classroom, she had all intentions of finding a friend to sit beside, but when she spotted how the desk were laid out she gave up that idea. Well, maybe this will keep the firsties from talking she thought, but then she frowned. "Does this mean we won't be having a practical lesson?" she asked aloud. With a small sigh, she found a free seat and sat down.

There was no humor here. It was NOT a joke. She was ready and willing to glue those shoes to the ceiling if need be. Heh. SIGHS FOR LIFE. Lexi tapped her holster through the sleeve of her robes and looked sidelong at IT. Bah. "I am SURE I could pull off a permanent sticking charm," she whispered. It would make her oh so happy.

Aurora looked up from doodling in her parchment to see a Slytherin girl sit down next to her. The girl said 'Hello' and looked familiar. Aurora realized that she knew her from playing games in the great hall with students from other houses, "Hi." She said, "You're Zhenya right? I'm Aurora. I'm so nervous about our very first DADA lesson." She gave a shaky smile.

"NO, what? They can do that?" Hateya tried to picture her family's house elf going on strike, and failed miserably. Try as she might, she just couldn't see the wizened old thing carrying a sign-board and walking back and forth in front of the.... well, no, she could, but not seriously.

Part of the reason she loved this school so much was the tons of delicious food. Feeling a might bit grumpy now, she muttered, "Should get this professor to use her boots on them."

Illiana walked into class looking for a good seat and notice some commotion.

What on earth is going on?

As she looked where everyone was looking she saw a Gryffindor in heels! Well this was going to be an interesting start to class. She found a seat close to the scene the hear what was the story behind the situation.

"WEIRD" she mumbled.

Once she was settled in she took out her textbook and began reading the first chapter again. It really didn't hurt to became familiar with the lesson ahead of time.

Angelina walked into DADA classroom, and looked around at all the students. She then found an empty desk near the front. She headed over there and sat down, and waiting for the Porfessior to arrive.

FINALLY!

A real Defense Against the Dark Arts class. Not that Destiny minded missing out of the lessons last term, she quite liked having one less class to attend. It meant that she had more time to sit around and eat chocolate do nothing. But, seeing as next year she'd be out in the REAL world, she'd need to learn something. Or something..

Arriving at the room, she couldn't help but notice everything going on.. Well, particularly Josh.. in heels. Even she never wore them, she she had to give the boy props for doing it. He received two big thumbs up as she passed him and took a seat in the one.. closest to Arya.

Hehe, she hadn't seen the girl in a while.

"Apparently," Tori tsked. "It's a real shame, isn't it? Burning the food, taking time off whenever they want to... see, I had the bright idea that we should just harness Hufflepuffs instead and make them do all the cooking and cleaning.... brilliant, right?! Since they're such hard workers and all..."

Snicker.

"Agreed."

Jai entered the class, with his bag over his shoulder and his sleeves rolled up. He looked around the class and saw Cassie sitting with Marilyn. Strange. He decided to walk across the room and sit near the back. There was something a bit off by the combination of the pair Jai shrugged it off and waited for class to start.

Lana peaked into the DADA classroom before she walked. Oh, there's already quite a few students in here already. She took a step forward and eyed for the professor. No professor? She shrugged.

Lana looked around and looked for an empty seat in a good spot. She saw one, but there was already someone sitting in the seat beside it. Hmm...

She headed towards the seat and asked, "Do you mind if I sit here?" She looked at the boy waiting for an answer.

This was another class Ellie didn't want to be in. This time, it was more so for her pure dislike for the subject. She'd actually liked the lack of lessons last term.

Still, she was here. And glad the Professor wasn't, actually. She didn't want to have to cheerfully greet her or anything. She just made her way to a desk somewhere near the center of the classroom, and sat down, placing her bag on the ground beside her.

She'll twirl a lock of hair while she waited for the class to start.

"But this is their job," Hateya protested. Witches and wizards went to their jobs every day and did them, and they didn't take off whenever or do a shoddy job.

She had to giggle at Tori's suggestion, even though she knew the headmaster would never dump the housekeeping on one house, "Maybe anyone who gets detention will have to do it."

"Good point.....s....." Tori acknowledged, trailing off as if lost in thought. Really, she was contemplating how much of her candy was left and whether or not she would be able to bribe a few firsties into doing her homework for her. It was only the first week and she had homework already! Imagine that!

She turned to her friend with a curious expression. "So who USED to teach Defense here, Hateya?" Just wondering. Heh.

"Hi, Desiree. How are you? Nervous?"

"Yes, Zhenya, how do you do?" she asked. She liked saying that. How do you do. She and her brother had an ongoing thing by saying that to everyone.

"Don't worry, Aurora, so am I... so am I"

"Lana," Zhenya whispered loudly. She was sitting a few seats over, and waved to her friend.

"Some fat guy." That was pretty much the best description she could come up with, though she did add, "He didn't really teach anything. We had to write a whole bunch and not learn about actually defending ourselves."

Which... yeah, she was hoping this year's teacher would be much different and actually teach spells. Hence the wand being out and not the textbook. Unlike her brother, Hateya wasn't inclined to be useless at Defense, but it'd be hard to be otherwise without instruction.

"Fat guy?" Tori repeated, eyes narrowing at her friend. "Was he really gassy and very big, busy, and important, too?" Cuz the current Minister of Magic was the only fat guy she could think of who was qualified to teach at Hogwarts. Heh. Wouldn't that be interesting.

Just imagine if the Headmaster taught classes. Tori started giggling silently to herself at that idea.

"You know him?" Because clearly there was only one man in the world who fit their combined description. She was only hoping he wasn't Tori's favourite uncle or something.

Orr felt 10 times better knowing that she wasn't the only one being nervous especially from what she had heard about the DADA professor. "I'm really excited to learn DADA but I've heard that the Professor Glass is quite strict."

"Ya" Desiree admitted "A little bit, you?" she asked then added quietly just in case.. "It's mostly because Sarah had told me about the teacher.. she, well she had spikes on her heels." she said as if that explained everything, well spikes were scary.

Zhenya whispered Lana, so she turned to see where she was looking. Spotting her friend, she shot her a smile and waved to her as well. "Hey it's the mascot" she joked hoping Lana would understand what she meant. She would have told her to come join them but the professor could walk in any minute now..

Daphne walked into the classroom, feeling extremely nervous. She was a little late and really didn't want to get into trouble on the first DADA class itself. That would be sad.

Thankfully, the professor hadn't arrived yet so she rushed forward and took a seat near the front of the classroom. She placed her bag on the desk and waited for the class to begin.
