Default The Old Ship

The ancient schooner stands tall in the dark water, although there is a definite list to the mast and sails that belie its age. After all these years hidden in or around the lake, the ship is in remarkably good condition, although the lower decks drip with water and something rather green and slimy. If not for the age and apparent solitude of the ship, it would appear the crew had just departed, even going so far to leave the gangplank lowered to provide access to the main deck.

The main deck is cluttered in a way no captain would approve. Bits of knotted rope, lank strands of the shredded sail, and abandoned cannon balls that seem to have taken root to the deck would have tripped up a sailor in bygone days. They are the only artifacts left of those hearty men now. A rope ladder twists uselessly in the rigging - wonder if the crow's nest can still be reached?

Just a few steps above the main deck, the steering wheel is knotted into place with a moldy length of rope. It's impossible to know where these sailors were headed, but they've been sailing in one direction for a very long time indeed. Propped against the railing behind the wheel is a marlinespike, a nasty pointed thing that was someone's weapon or tool... or both.

Beneath the quarterdeck, a gaping doorway leads to the captain's quarters. Decrepit maps, a rusted quadrant, and a compass sit on the captain's desk, but the most interesting artifact is probably the old tricorne hat propped against the chair. Wherever the man went, his head is bare. The bed and wardrobe in the corner could give you more clues about the man who lived here, but the best clue is the log book folded closed on the chair - Captain's Log for the Dead Wizard's Trove.

Below the main deck, you will find the hold and sailor's quarters. Kegs of powder are scattered with a few ancient gold coins, Galleons by the look of them, but there is no further indication as to what the ship once carried. Was the ship a merchant ship? Privateers? Or pirates?

When they had arrived at the wheel Kurumi spread her arms out and found that it was wider than her arm span and the tips of her fingers could just barely touch the rim of the wheel. It was so big! It probably would take both her and Eino, with perhaps the help of the Headmaster, to move it. Frowning when Eino's attempt to move the wheel failed, she stood next to him and put her hands on one of the spots where Eino's weren't. "Maybe if we pull on it together it will move?" she asked before bursting into laughter at her friend's next question. "Somehow, I don't think that is what the Headmaster meant by free..."

Then again, perhaps if she bribed the man with lots and lots of cookies he would allow them to stay on board...
If not that, then what else? Something was going to happen to the ship, that was certain, if it wasn't always going to be free, but what? And what was the Headmaster doing on the ship? Maybe he was the captain and he was going to turn everyone into pirates. Eino really wanted a peg leg and a parrot, but no eyepatches, he liked to rely on both of his eyes. Then they would go on an adventure and find treasures.

"Okay..." Eino said as he returned down from the clouds and agreed to attempt and pull the wheel with Kurumi. It might work. "On three... One, two three." He pulled the wheel as hard as he could and it moved! Only slightly, but it moved! "I wonder how many people it takes to move this, unless they use magic, then it would probably be easier." Too bad he didn't know any ship steering charms, or wheel moving charming, or whatever it would be called. "We should set sail!" As he said his he saw the main castle all the way at the top. It was very high and it didn't seem very safe.

Kurumi very much wished that she could somehow See into Eino's mind as he got one of those glazed over looks he often did when he was thinking hard about something. Perhaps he was having a vision of himself dressed as a pirate with a pegged leg and his trusty pet Faustus potted on his shoulder? She wasn't sure how a cactus compared to a parrot in terms of a pirate pet, but it certainly would give him something to remember him by that was much neater than some fluffy feather sticking out of a hat.

"It did move!" she chirped as she jumped up and down. Not enough for there to be any change in the boat however. "I am not sure. If we are talking people our size, then perhaps 10? Or, if we had a giant help us it may only take the three of us." Hey, a girl could dream, right? "Do you think the giant squid is what is keeping this boat in place? I suppose we would have to tickle him to set sail properly.

Nika walked outside towards the old ship. She was waiting to go and get a good look at this thing all summer. Well ever since Emily showed her the daily prophet in Diagon Alley at least. Maybe next year her parents will let her get her own subscription to the paper.

Looking around she noticed that there were a lot of other people who decided to come check this thing out too. She walked into the ship and looked for someone to explore with because exploring alone wouldn't be any fun! "NESSIE!" She let out a small squeal of excitement as she saw her friend. "Isn't this thing so cool!?" She's never seen a ship like it. "Do you want to explore this thing with me?"

Nika returned the hug and started to giggle out of the blue. "Sorry about that. Didn't mean to scare you." Maybe next time Nika should yell someone's name while there on a creepy old ship in the middle of the lake... Maybe just maybe. "Where do you wanna look first?" She asked excitedly. Nika didn't really care. As long as she saw half of the boat before they had to head back to the common rooms she'd be happy.

Ohhh Treyen. That didn't help. "There better not be Acromantulas down there, Treyen." Or she will leave. And only return with Little Professor. Even if it took all term.

But they were going.

"Good to meet you." If they died, at least they knew who they were dying with, yeah?

Ellie then lit her own wand, and motioned for Sierra to go ahead of her. She was younger, right? So, she should probably be in the middle. Things didn't attack those in the middle.
Riiiiiiight. Wait, what was a bad thing? Ellie afraid of going down there, or just the thought of following Salander's footsteps? Because the latter was, indeed, a very bad thing given the fact that he fell before making it to the hatch.

Seriously, what was it with the negativity? Both Ellie and Sierra should stay off the ship if they had such strong feelings about not being on it.

The Headmaster was inviting students in, it couldn't be so bad. Except...he hasn't managed to hear any single word from Salander, though, maybe they've gone into another dimension or parallel universe or something. He smirked at the thought, and was NOT going to share it with the people around him. "Do you know how to swim, Ellie?" he asked, slowly climbing down through those little steps Salander never saw.

He was already half-way down, and he shrugged at the Acromantulas topic, "It's not like it'll be the first time we get to see them," they'd ran away from them before.

Why was Ellie letting Sierra come first? No, he didn't agree with that decision, the Ravenclaw should be next to him, no? Besides, Sierra seemed to have another friend with her, that's why Treyen pulled Ellie closer to him. Plus, the look Sierra had given Ellie was not to be trusted, even if he knew perfectly well that his favorite Ravenclaw didn't need any help whatsoever when it came to defense, right?

She quickly turned away from the prefect in an effort to get her mind away from certain type thoughts. Thoughts she was still sort of angry at herself for having. Thoughts she knew her father would literally seethe in anger over. Looking toward the hatch Salamander and Simon had gone down, she nodded her head. "Yeah, ...some time," she remarked. Obviously not now. "Just owl me when you're ready."

UGH!!!

That had so made her sound like she'd be sitting around just waiting to hear from him. She had to get a hold of herself! "Or better yet, just be ready. I'll owl you," she said.

Again, she nodded when he told her to call for help if she got into trouble down that hatch. Come to think of it, though, she might just call for help even if she didn't... "UGH!" she said aloud this time. She hadn't meant to, though. She blushed and turned away, distracting herself by looking out at Kurumi Hollingberry on the banks of the water. Then she felt his arm around her. Her eyes sort of widened a little as she turned back around--to see his arms around another girl as well...

OOC: Continued under Nina's quote and again under Dot's quote.

She eyed this other girl, wanting to glare at her but holding back for now. Good to meet you?! Sierra should probably return the line, but she just wasn't in the mood to attempt friendliness. She eyed Treyen again, noticing how friendly he seemed to be toward this other girl. With an inward sigh, she looked at Ellie and said, "It's...good to...meet you..., too." There. That hadn't been too hard. She would not be calling the girl's name if she got into trouble, though...

Sierra jerked her head toward Lola. Why in the name of all things good and magical was this loud, obnoxious, annoying excuse for a person clapping?! ...oh. Right. Sierra had willingly been nice to her in an attempt to gain a loyal dog. Seemed like it had worked, only, Sierra would now have to deal with all the ridiculousness that came along with being anywhere in the vicinity of Lola Jones.

Then suddenly, Lola's hand was clasped around hers, causing Sierra to sort of stiffen in horror. Where were they going?! Sierra was going to lead--she had to! Otherwise, she'd have to suffer through the humiliation of being lead around the ship by Loooooola Jones. She wouldn't have it! None of it! "Down there!" she suddenly said, the hatch seeming to be the closest place to her. She had just enough time to turn and look toward Treyen, hoping he was coming along, before she disappeared into the depths.

Yeah, Treyen had no idea what was happening to Sierra, the girl seemed to lose focus quite easily, and to change moods really quickly. Though, weren't all Slytherins alike? He's never been around one for so long, not outside of a classroom or, in this case, Potions laboratory.

Still, he smiled, "You owl me, sounds good." At least she was regaining some focus, even if it was to see how the people around her were fairing.

In all fairness, Sierra looked rather cute whenever she was annoyed, that's what it appeared she was at the moment. Annoyed. Probably because her other companion was clapping and being loud. He understood, Kaia was loud, or used to be, and he was always annoyed when she was loud, or used to be annoyed. Anyway...

...he was already down...here. No sign of Salander, though, but his wand was giving out more light than necessary, so he tapped his wand with his index finger once and the light was dimmed a little. Better. All he could see were barrels...and a two shadows deep down...whatever place it was. Those must be Simon and Salander.

He looked back to Sierra, and, of course, Ellie, "I just don't get it, you know? Why the ship is here...do you reckon that maybe Mr. Stryker wanted to add some mystery to the grounds?" he was French, after all.

Ellie raised her eyebrows at the other girl. The Sierra girl. That sounded awfully painful for her. But, she couldn't be bothered pondering it too much. They were on a creepy death ship, after all.

She nodded at Treyen's question. Then, realizing he might not see her, seeing as all his attention should be on possible rotting floorboards on the stairs, confirmed her ability to swim aloud.

"What?" He'd seen Acromantulas before? Ooooh, wait. Is that what happened in Charms last term? "Nevermind." She still hadn't seen them at the time. And she'd like to keep it that way.

Ooooohkay. Apparently Sierra wasn't going before her. Ellie drew her wand as she was tugged closer to Treyen, though she didn't light it. His seemed bright enough. For now.

Mmm. She didn't like that theory at all. "I hope not." It wasn't very nice of him, and Stryker was a nice man. "I doubt it, really. Tate would know about it, at least, and it wouldn't have been in the Prophet." Unless they were planning on freaking out the entire Wizarding community of Great Britain over a 'mysterious ship' that was nothing more than a new edition to the decor on the grounds.

Ellie had her own theories, of course. One of which was that it was an ancient Durmstrang ship from centuries ago that sank to the bottom of the lake and resurfaced for some unexplainable reason. Logical, yeah?

Maybe not.

Default TRELLIE!!! and Sierra (cos I love all three of you)

Baby it was cold outside. And here was Conan. He was wearing a hat, scarf, robes, hood, gloves, and definitely a thermal vest under his uniform. He wasn't getting cold at all. He wasn't used to it. It would probably kill him, given half the chance.

He pulled his scarf up over his nose, as it drifted down. Oh no, the frostbite! Those few seconds may have started off the frostbite procedure.

He shuffled onto the ship, his arms folded to his chest. He peered over his scarf to see if he knew anyone. He spotted Treyen and Ellie. And....Sierra. He shuffled up to them. "Um hi guys," he called, muffled by his scarf.

Sierra was already halfway down the stairs when she heard a voice calling out to her. Who the voice belonged to, she didn't know, but she found it strange that someone would continue on conversation when she was pretty down a long, dark hole. "It's...fantastic," she sarcastically said. No, the ship wasn't fantastic. It was old and disgusting, and if it hadn't been for the fact that she, just like all the others, was curious about its presence here, she'd be back in the comfort of the dungeons.

Ahh, she was on the very last step--excellent. She stepped to the floor below and started looking around for the others.

He looked back to Sierra, and, of course, Ellie, "I just don't get it, you know? Why the ship is here...do you reckon that maybe Mr. Stryker wanted to add some mystery to the grounds?" he was French, after all.
Oh, and Treyen was down here, too! At least that made one person she could see. Now why hadn't the headmaster or at least the flying instructor stepped down here with them, hmm?! "Mr. Stryker, ...hmm," she said, shrugging. "I don't really know him that well, but it didn't seem like Vinny or the headmaster knew much about it. You'd think if Stryker put it here, he'd at least okay it with the big man at the top."

She paused when a board creaked underneath her feet. Great. Just great. "So, ...what exactly are we looking for down here?" she wondered aloud. Or where they just looking to be looking?

He pulled his scarf up over his nose, as it drifted down. Oh no, the frostbite! Those few seconds may have started off the frostbite procedure.

He shuffled onto the ship, his arms folded to his chest. He peered over his scarf to see if he knew anyone. He spotted Treyen and Ellie. And....Sierra. He shuffled up to them. "Um hi guys," he called, muffled by his scarf.
Was that Conan? She thought that was the sound of the Hufflepuff boy's voice. "Down here!" she called from the hatch.

SPOILER!!: Kyle and Caroline

[QUOTE=McFeisty;10334954]And then as she finished saluting and saying she would clean a bit, Carter walked up or it was who she assuedm to be Carter. She smiled none the less.

She waved slightly as he said ahoy to her and Caroline, "Ahoy Matey!" she repeated all pirate-like. Boy this was going to be fun. "So apparently i've got to clean a bit," she nearly giggled, well she laughed but it wasn't as obnoxious as a giggle...but still as happy.

Yeah she was happy go lucky today. Walking further onto the deck she hooked a rope to the wall using a lovely little square knot knowing it would tighten when pulled, unless pulled correctly. Unaware she left a little bit loose, because after all who would think two feet of rope would be a big deal. Unless it wasn't actually two feet and the knot only partially worked and when pulled if it got attached to someones foot...they'd be under water, well up to their forhead, and yeah can you say blood rushing to the head?

But, nothing happened - luckily. Except her boot buckle came far too close to connecting to the rope and that wouldn't be good - much harder than sandals. Much much harder.

"Don't fall off the boat, not infront of Simon" she whispered unaware that Caroline and Carter could hear.

She smiled thankful that she didn't have to start screaming for help. "Heck yeah." Did she really just say heck yeah

"This ship is amazing, it's old but it looks to be it fair shape." SHe said taking another look at it with Kyle. This was going to be so much fun. "How are you?" She asked with a grin. They a lovely chat earlier. Hehehe. She scaned around at the ground from the deck looking for a certain someone to get onboard.

She tried to push out what Marie had said to her as she seen Carter making his way up the plank to the deck. "Ahoy there!" She waved and smiled as she seen Carter walking around the deck. She was very excited about her boyfriend and her friend meeting each other. She smiled rather shyly. She gave him a small kiss. Marie had to be wrong. Right? Yeah, she was wrong. She thought to herself pushing the throughts out of her mind.

"Hey Carter! This is my very good friend, Kyle." She looked from Carter to Kyle and smiled to both of them. "Kyle this is my boyfriend Carter." She let them meet each other a hand shake or whatever. ''Huh? Clean?" Caroline asked rather confused as to what the Ravenc;aw was talking about cleaning. She must have been losted in her throughts while that was going on.

As they walked around the deck more and noticed Kyles close call. She tried to hold a laugh when she said "Don't fall off the boat, not infront of Simon" well she whisped it. Caroline laughed and covered her mouth quickly as if she had just said a dirty word.

Carter smiled at the girl that answered back. That must have been Kyle. Soon Caroline approached them confirming what he thought. "Nice to finally meet you Kyle." he said. Now he knew two of her friends.

He wasn't really sure what to make of the 'cleaning the ship' statement. But that was one detention he probably wouldn't mind getting.

"Simon's here?" he asked out loud looking around. He didn't see the quidditch captain when he got on the ship.

Then he realized what the Ravenclaw girl had said. She didn't want to embarrass herself in front of the guy. Caroline's added laugh just confirmed his suspicions. He smirked a little wondering how best to use this knowledge to his advantage. Of course, he'd have to wait until he was better friends with Kyle. It really wasn't proper to tease someone you barely knew.

Caroline nodded and patted her friend on the back. "You did, you did." in a whipser back to her in case Carter didn't hear what she said. which she throught he could have possibly heard. She smiled at her in couragingly. She couldn't help but to laugh slightly though, as her friend blushed. She had only just found out that Kyle had a crush on Simon.

She smiled as Carter and Kyle met. It was pretty nice to have finally introduced him to someone. She turned to Kyle as she explained about the cleaning up thing she mentioned before. "Oh Okay!" Were they planning on cleaning up the ship or something? She wonder what exactly they were going to do with it.

Turning a grinned at Carter when she noticed what was going on. She nodded and out her finger to her lips. Shhhh! "What happens or is said on thee boat, stays on the boat." She laughed. "let's start exploring. This ship shall we?" She suggested to keep the arkwardness down.

Maybe not.
So, Ellie could swim? Perfect. "Then what's wrong if the ship starts to sink, right? You can still swim away from it," he said, with a shrug, as if the thought of a sinking ship was something easy to deal with. Still, it was logical that he wouldn't be bothered, after all, it's not like they were at the middle of the lake. Swimming to shore won't take as long, nor make them too tired.

But, yeah, that wasn't happening, anyway.

What? "You know, with Saylen...," that was during his third year, "...wait, you didn't attend that lesson?" he remembered Salander, Kurumi, Legend, Diggy and Emmy in there, because they were kind of next to him, but he was having issues placing Ellie in the lesson. No arachnids were harmed, though, just stunned. And no humans were harmed either, not physically, at least.

Actually, being closer to Ellie proved to be rather uncomfortable for him right now, maybe the fact that it was still darker than usual made it all awkward in his head. That's why he took a couple steps away and pretended to wander into the ship, or towards the two figures up there, even more. The boy froze in place when the Ravenclaw spoke again, "That...makes sense," he said, smiling towards her. See? She was clever, he didn't consider the article into any of this.

He noticed something as he saw her, "You have something in mind, though," he accused, nicely of course. It seemed Ellie had her own ideas about the ship, she could share them too. If she felt like doing so.

Granted. The girls were always right. Both Ellie and Sierra had managed to follow the same train of thought.

"Maybe it was Masterson," he said, mostly to himself. As a matter of fact, he didn't even intend to say it out loud. But, Hogwarts was still a strange place, anything could happen. At least, Mr. Stryker was free of charge. "You're right," the boy finally said, with one nod. Vindictus, in particular, had been rather interested in the ship.

And he kept on walking a bit farther into the ship, lighting up some unidentified barrels, and then realized that the figures he thought were Salander and Simon...actually weren't.

Then the pretty Slytherin asked a question, "I don't even know what the others are looking for," he'd heard Salander speak of something to drink, but paid little attention to that, "Unless you want to open up some barrels...our only choices are...going left, or right, or up." His wand lighted up the choices, except the last one, because going up meant going back.

"You decide," he winked, it was clear he had no preference as to which way they took. But maybe Ellie wouldn't want to take more stairs down...unless they got to see Barty down there. Now, that would be awesome.

"But I'd rather not." Swimming in a murky lake with who knows what kind of creatures didn't sound like a good idea. "Plus, if the ship sank, it'd create a vacuum, wouldn't it? And pull us down with it." So that'd be a prolonged amount of swimming, and Ellie didn't know how to do a Bubble-head Charm.

No, she was NOT there. Luckily, too, apparently. "I suppose not," she shrugged. But REALLY it was a good thing. She could barely handle Matilda, let alone an Acromantula.

So Sierra didn't think it was Stryker either? Hah. Outnumbered there, Treyen. About her theories, Ellie nodded, "Yeah, but, I doubt anything's true."

And this was where Ellie wanted to say 'up'. As in back. As in on shore, in the castle, and maybe eating chocolate or something. But part of her wanted to stay on, and keep going while she was already there. So, she stayed silent leaving Sierra to choose, really.

Hearing a kid ahead of them telling them to light their wands, Ellie did so. Just as Conan arrived. ...Was that a good idea? And, yeah, where was his wand? She could care less if he didn't believe in magic, he should still have it with him, out and ready.

Was he cold? Mann. Why was he out if he was cold? ODD child, that one. Sigh. "Hi, Conan..." Take out your wand. Do it.

Finlay glanced down at the main deck again, before pointing at someone. "You therree!" Oh...it looked like it was Kyle from the yearbook. "Come do some cleaning for your Captain!" She was probably going to look at him look he was mental but oh well.

"There we go...got myself a cleaner."
Ivan bent down to pick up some rope and whistled as he walked over to Finn. Nope he wasn't up to anything. Nothing at all. It'd work better with James there to distract him but oh well he wasn't.

Leaning against the steering wheel he looked down as Finn told a Ravie to clean and laughed. "I'm sure she'll get right on that your Captainess." Heh he just made up a word. Holding an end of the rope he stared at it and at Finn's hand on the steering wheel. It would be sooooooooooo easy. But did he really want to get in trouble for that? "Can we go explore something else? I'm bored and fighting the urge to just tie you to that for my amusement," he said with a smirk and dropped the rope at his feet.

"Yeah...theres certainly something," he mused in agreement, trying to tell if there was a source of said smell.

Seeing the the Gryffindor Captain forge ahead Salander ruefully left the possibly Rum barrel aside and followed the receding light. Impatiently he re-cast the lumos spell on his own wand, sniffing and puffing out the odor that seems to be getting stronger and stronger the further they went away from the hatch.

A few paces in the Slytherin lad turned back to hear voices descending from the hatch. He squinted and turned his wand slightly, hearing Simon advice them to cast the lumos spell. "Treyen?..." he was pretty sure he recognized the young Puff's voice and a few more whispering and chatting from the group confirmed Sierra, Ellie, Conan and the bubbly Slytherin girl whose name escapes him. "And yeah watch your step." He added, trying to pretend that it was someone else who made the ruckus at the ladder earlier.

He turned back to Simon and ventured forward a few more paces until he stopped suddenly. "Pheeew!" he huffed, waving his free hand trying to clear off the odor "Its getting stronger whatever it is... just couldnt put my finger on it." he whispered audibly. He raised his wand higher and tried to look around claustrophobic area, looking for something "Doesnt this place have some sort of torch or something?"

Oi! May not be the best suggestion if he could only recognize what was causing that stench....

"I can barely hear you from down here!" Sierra called out. Someone, she still couldn't figure out who from all the way down the hatch, was still talking to her from up above.

OOC: Sierra went through an open hatch and down stairs to the bottom level. I don't think she can still hear William from way down there.

Until he heard some voice far away, he knew the voice, it was his favorite Hufflepuff.

Conan!

Sierra's boyfriend, no? The second year Huffie was cold, wasn't he? They weren't in December yet. Poor kid. "Conan!" he exclaimed, widening his own smile, "Where's your wand?" CONSTANT VIGILANCE, CONAN! Especially since they were in a mystery ship.

Emphasis on 'mystery'.

Do it.

Hearing Treyen talk to someone who was definitely not her, Sierra turned around, her wand facing outward and in the direction of their company. Ohh, Ellie was down here, too? Sierra hadn't realized the older girl had come with them, but that could have something to do with the fact that they'd all climbed down a really dark flight of stairs to get here.

"You don't...think that's going to happen, do you?" she asked Ellie. You know, the ship sinking. Tough she could sometimes be, but she was no Gryffindor. She'd leave the daring nerve and bravery to the guy up ahead--Simon, she thought his name was. She briefly eyed the stairs but then decided it wasn't worth it to turn around and go back. She'd already gone this far.

Her eyes followed the light of Treyen's wand as he suggested the different directions to go in. She noticed he didn't suggest up, meaning he didn't want to turn around and go back either. She didn't want to open up any barrels. They might explode, and well...yeah, dying just wasn't one of the options she wanted to consider at the moment. What was that Headmaster Tate always told them? Don't die. Yeah, that was it.

With a shrug, she answered, "Right." It seemed like the right way to go. Or, it sounded right, at least. Had he winked at her? Yes, yes he had. Treyen Lockhart was going to drive her insane this school year! Then, just because two could play at that game, she winked at him and said, "Well, ...go on." With her wand, she gestured in the right direction.

Was Conan down here, too? It was hard to tell from just the light of her wand. ...and where was Salamander and the Gryffindor captain?! Hearing voices was easy. Seeing faces was not.

Oh! Look! It had been Simon all along!

Awesome. Not that they were lost or anything, they'd barely walked as much as to get lost. Still, how much light did the Quidditch Captain want, anyway? His own eyes had grew accustomed to this lighting, kind of.

Either way, Treyen increased the amount of light that was coming out of his wand, happy now, Simon?

Fine, Ellie, FINE. The boy didn't even say that she'd been right about one specific part in case the ship started to sink or whatever, because that wasn't happening anyway. "It doesn't matter," that was his reply. But he wasn't replying to anything the girl just said, it was more as to let the subject drop.

Luck was NOT going to be on their side if the 'sinking' thought was still around.

How come it appeared that Ellie was glad she never took part in that lesson? "You...," he started to say, tilting his head to one side, "...you aren't afraid of spiders, are you?" there was always the chance that she just didn't like the eight-legged creatures, and he was hoping that was the case.

Ha. At her comment on the ship, he had to chuckle and shook his head. There was no way to know if her theories could be right or wrong, or some place in between if she didn't share them, no? He didn't push it, though.

And she knew Conan?! How did she know his favorite Hufflepuff, eh?

Haha. Yes, they'll watch their steps. No problem. Treyen walked closer to the Slytherin boy, "Salander...," he started to say, and frowned upon hearing him say 'torch', "...what do you need a torch for? We have wands, and...I don't think it would be wise to light a fire, after all, some ships used to carry gunpowder back when...ships carried it." Yeah, way to appear smart, Lockhart. He didn't even give any time period or anything.

As Sierra considered her options, his eyes managed to focus on the floor, and how amazingly loose the pieces of wood seemed to be, maybe there was something hiding underneath, like a monster that was waiting for more Slytherins to feed on.

Er, yeah, that wasn't going to happen either.

As soon as the girl replied, he looked up, just in time to see her wink at him. Funny. He smirked. "Actually, I think right is the opposite direction from Salander and Simon," but they could head right, he had no problem, at all.

They could divide and conquer different parts of the ship.

As an actress, Lola loved the cameras and she was infatuated with flashes and lights directing towards her. She pouted up her lips in a pose and waved her hand towards the camera, grinning as she went down with Sierra. "Thanks love, mwah mwaaaah!" And she blew kisses towards the camera, but then focused her attention back on Sierra.

"Oh don't pretend you don't like my clapping, dahhhling," she sang as she went down the hatch with Sierra. They were obviously best friends, because well, it was just so obvious by now. Her breathing was short and quiet at first but the small space was making it all panicky and AND AND WHERE WAS AIR TEMPERATURE AND MERLIN THERE WAS A HORRIBLE STENCH.

"Sierraaaaaaaaaa," she whispered to herself in a sing-song voice, "Sieeeeeerrraaaaa. Mind me, I'm just trying to be comfortable here." And so apparently softly singing her best friend's name made her feel so much better--if that wasn't so creepy.

There were other people here too, right?

"Guys, it smells really really REAAAAALLY bad." It's not like they hadn't known that, but she tightened her grip on Greingoth and tried to wave her wand around her head, all in failure.

"Anyone know the Bubble-Head Charm?" So they could save her from all the stinkiness.

Sierra spun around, possibly hitting someone in the head or shoulder with her wand. Or had that been a barrel? Or a pirate?! Forget about that. Salamander had a torch?! "You've gotta be kidding me," she mumbled, her voice just at a low whisper.

...and here Treyen was concerned that they were heading in the opposite direction than Salamander and Simon? Hmm...no thanks. She'd take the non-torch lit direction, thank you very much. At least if Salamander blew up the ship, she'd be on the opposite side of the explosion anyway.

She nodded at Treyen, agreeing with him that the ship probably wouldn't sink on them. "Hmm. Besides, it probably would have already done so by now," she remarked. Just as she said that, she stepped forward, causing a few pieces of the wood at her feet to creeeeeeeeeeeeeak extra loudly. Right. That didn't freak her out. Right. Not at all.

"Are you scared to go in the opposite direction, Treyen?" she playfully asked, a smirk on her face as she talked. She didn't know if he could see the smirk, but it was there anyway. "Need us girls to take care of you, hmm?" She was all talk, though. Notice she hadn't moved an inch either.

Oh, nooooo. Lola had somehow made it down here, too?!

Oh, yeah. Riiiiiight. Sierra had invited her down here, hadn't she? Only, she'd suggested it in an effort to get Lola away from everyone else, so they wouldn't overhear her declaring their supposed best friendship. Now the girl was down here, and so were all the others. Maybe in the darkness of the ship she'd be different. Or maybe she'd get lost, and they wouldn't have to deal with her.

No such luck, because if Lola got lost, Sierra would be lost, too. The girl had a death grip on her shoulders, and was singing her name in that annoying voice of hers. "Lola!" she snapped. "Cast lumos..." and get your blasted hands off me!

And she blew kisses towards the camera, but then focused her attention back on Sierra.

"Oh don't pretend you don't like my clapping, dahhhling," she sang as she went down the hatch with Sierra. They were obviously best friends, because well, it was just so obvious by now. So she followed her BFF! down below, holding on to her (for what if she was suddenly attacked by a zombie pirate?) and making heavy, HEAVY breaths.

"Anyone know the Bubble-Head Charm?" So they could save her from all the stinkiness.

...and here Treyen was concerned that they were heading in the opposite direction than Salamander and Simon?

OOC: Editing you in now, Dotterkins.

Hey! It was Sal! Okay, Ellie felt slightly better now. And following his orders to watch her step, she lowered her wand to the ground. She'll just be keeping her eyes there from now on.

As for the ship sinking, "It might." It was true! "But I guess if I really thought so, I wouldn't be on here." Also true. "Not necessarily," she pointed out to Sierra, the ship probably wouldn't have done so before, "Wood floats and it didn't have a dozen or so people aboard before." People added weight.

Ellie pursed her lips AT Treyen. As if you could do that. "Let's not point out all of my fears here, yeah?" It just made things WORSE. Don't do that to her, Treyen.

Again, she didn't say anything about their future direction. Actually, she wanted to go to where Salander was, but the ship wasn't HUGE, so they wouldn't be too far from the older boys if they did go in the opposite direction.

She did "Shhhhh" the loud girl, though. It was just creeeepy the way she was saying Sierra's name like that. And, "not me." Unfortunately she didn't know that charm. Time for another trip to Little Professor's office.

Ronnie had spent alot of time on the ship...There were students EVERYWHERE! Yet no one had talked to her (though she didn't mind that). What she really was disappointed about was her lack of finding something amazing. She was hoping to discover a HUGE pile of gold, the skeleton of the captian. Something at the very least. She wanted to discover something that no one else had. Ronnie said and asked the person nearest to her.

"Did you find anything interesting yet?"

Lexi was SURE she could find Salander on this bloody boat... SURE. OF. IT. So she had thrown on some clothes she didn't care about getting dirty, a pair of rain boots, and headed off down to it.

Standing on the shore for a moment she bit her lower lip... what if it was DIRTY or she got SICK from something on board? SIGH.

Sucking it up she climbed on and started to shout, "SALANDER!!! SAAAAAALLLLLLL! WHERE ARE YOU?" Hopefully her voice would carry to wherever he was because she wasn't so sure about scouring the ship for him.
