The ancient schooner stands tall in the dark water, although there is a definite list to the mast and sails that belie its age. After all these years hidden in or around the lake, the ship is in remarkably good condition, although the lower decks drip with water and something rather green and slimy. If not for the age and apparent solitude of the ship, it would appear the crew had just departed, even going so far to leave the gangplank lowered to provide access to the main deck.
The main deck is cluttered in a way no captain would approve. Bits of knotted rope, lank strands of the shredded sail, and abandoned cannon balls that seem to have taken root to the deck would have tripped up a sailor in bygone days. They are the only artifacts left of those hearty men now. A rope ladder twists uselessly in the rigging - wonder if the crow's nest can still be reached?
Just a few steps above the main deck, the steering wheel is knotted into place with a moldy length of rope. It's impossible to know where these sailors were headed, but they've been sailing in one direction for a very long time indeed. Propped against the railing behind the wheel is a marlinespike, a nasty pointed thing that was someone's weapon or tool... or both.
Beneath the quarterdeck, a gaping doorway leads to the captain's quarters. Decrepit maps, a rusted quadrant, and a compass sit on the captain's desk, but the most interesting artifact is probably the old tricorne hat propped against the chair. Wherever the man went, his head is bare. The bed and wardrobe in the corner could give you more clues about the man who lived here, but the best clue is the log book folded closed on the chair - Captain's Log for the Dead Wizard's Trove.
Below the main deck, you will find the hold and sailor's quarters. Kegs of powder are scattered with a few ancient gold coins, Galleons by the look of them, but there is no further indication as to what the ship once carried. Was the ship a merchant ship? Privateers? Or pirates?
Sally simply waved a dismissive hand in her general direction, "You talk too much." The peasant was left unsaid, but he was TOTALLY geared up for this role of a wealthy colonial sailing across the ocean towards unchartered territories, "Now why don't you go join the Hufflepuffs below deck?"
She sounded like someone who loved things, "Perhaps you might find yourself a tin necklace from days gone by."
OH SNAP.
No, not really, but of course, Salmandrius thought he was simply the wittiest, most intelligent person on the surface of the earth.
"Below deck is no place for a lady like me. Maybe you should go join them, I think your intelligence is suited for a deck hand more than a captain." Elise was quite smug herself but this boy may actually provide her with a challenge. That was a rare thing in her life, she was often bored of the people she surrounded herself with. No fun in being the wittiest without someone to challenge you. These encounters often ended the same, she'd end up making the kid cry then they would send a letter home to her parents saying she was misbehaving or whatever they said in the letters here. Maybe they used smaller words.
What a mysterious looking ancient ship. Sophie thought as she let her eyes rest on the ship lying anchored in the middle of the black lake. What was it doing here? Who owned it and if it held dangerous were just a few select thoughts that circled the 16 year old lion prefect's head as she debated going aboard on the plank that she remembered pirates in books let intruders walk to a certain death in the water. The noises and chatter coming from the deck meant that it was okay to enter.
Walking up the plank and hopping down to land on the deck the brunette looked around. Where to go first? Did an old ship like this keep skeletons? Feeling a shiver go down her spine Sophie muttered out loud "I hope nobody has found anything too creepy like a skeleton lying around or something?" It was still remarkable that a ship was here. Now where should she go explore first?

AHA... it seemed that Salmandrius Beaugustus Malfoy had finally met his match! She was as attractive as he (almost, she could really do with a trim), and almost as quick and witty with her repartees. Perhaps she wasn't a mere peasant from the colonies as he had summed her up to be in the first two minutes of meeting her.
Sally turned to face her properly and raised a perfectly arched brow, "Were you as intelligent as you believe, you would know that a lady's" he smirked at the word, "presence on a ship merely tempts fate to blow it off course."
Christopher noticed a girl talking to herself as he explored the ship. She didn't really seem to be taking very good care of the things onboard, and he was honestly a little nervous for her. If Vindictus saw her, he'd probably flip. But that was probably just the young boy's fear of the professor. He noticed she was holding a strange, dusty book. It looked very important, really. The third year lion walked towards her and smiled. He held out one hand flat and asked, "Hi, mind if I have a look too?"
As Elektra flipped through the pages of the old book she heard a voice that didn't sound quite familliar to her and Elektra answered while looking through the pages of the book. "It all depends." The raven-haired slytherin picked he head up seeing a boy looking down at her and she could have swon she has seen him around before but she just couldn't put her finger on it. Her emerald green eyes examined the young Gryffindor and then Elektra looked down at the book and closed it and handed the book to him. "Here." Elektra saw the hat and she smiled and grabbed it carefully and coughed from the dust. "Just a tad dusty don't you think?" she said looking over her shoulder and the Gryffindor.

Oakey was sick and tired of over hearing the two Slytherins bad talk about being a Hufflepuff. He wanted to say this out loud. But they both seemed so high and mighty full of themselves for Oakey's opinion to even matter to them.
He turned back to Admiral Tate (if Vindictus is Captain, Then Tate must be one above him) and waited to see if He's get help with the maps...
"I'm the Captain! I shall go as slow as I like!" Finlay declared, as he stood at the stop of the stairs, looking all captain-like, and cool. He grinned down at Ivan. Oh. They were so cool. "Oh..." Thats what the wheel thing did. Finlay frowned as he watched Ivan. Surely steering the ship was the Captains job? Or maybe he should just stand here, and look all pretty and important.
"Waiit a minute." Finlay stepped forward, next to Ivan. "I'm sure steering the ship is the Captains job!" And he was the Captain. So shove over silly Admiral. "But yes...it is a very fine day for sailing." Finlay would know. He did have a boat he sailed at home. With a smirk, Finlay glanced around. It was really messy up here too. He frowned. Whoever was the actual Captain of this ship....was clearly not a very good Captain. "It far too messy on this ship."

Ivan heard his name being called and looked around to see Salander. "Sal," he said giving the boy a nod. He was over Lexi now that he'd started hanging around with Dora but that didn't mean he had to start liking him. Nope.
Ivan rolled his eyes at Finn and gave him a smirk. "And I'm the Admiral which is higher than the Captain so chop chop." Guy didn't even know what the steering wheel was for. Sad. So Sad. Allowing Finn to move him aside Ivan gave his arm a punch before moving to the edge of the boat and looking down into the water. "Then I guess you'd better start cleaning," he said with a laugh.
Looking around Ivan spotted a bunch of rope and then looked at Finn. Could he tie him to the steering wheel? Now that would be funny.

Gwen saw the Old Ship from afar and went straight towards it. There were already some students there, so she thought she could join them. Because of her curiosity, she got on the ship and started looking around. ‘Fantastic’, she thought.
She made a wrong step (just as expected, since she sometimes even stumbled on plane surfaces) and almost fell over. Noticing people staring, she gave an innocent smile and continued walking towards the deck.
Dude. The Pensevies aint got nothing on you. Aslan is the God

Amy was wandering around the ship, avoiding the red head seventh year Puffla who was wielding a plastic sword around in a very Captain Jack way. SCCAAARRRYYYY. Instead she had ducked away and had explored. Before the smell of damp and must over whelmed her and she had to get out and into the fresh air. As she was taking deep breaths to get rid of the stink that was clinging to her nostril hairs.
She heard someone in the background talking to herself and she turned to see a tall, PREFECT! girl, in Gryfindorness. I don't think so she nodded. Well, I hope not she nodded.
Because then, she'd throw up. And that would make the smell even worse. Damp mixed with sick. GRRRROOOOSSSS

Face contorting in a grimace, he could feel every bump and bruise on his entire back. His first souvenir from this mini adventure. Or rather several. And he thought he wont be able to take anything off the ship.
He glanced up and could just make out Simon's silhouette in the dark, the light from the other lad's wand bouncing off his blonde head. "Hard? Nah, just a little tummble, its nuthin'..." the Slytherin lad blew it off casually, then reached out to grab the Gryffindor's arm, getting up quickly just to prove that he was fine and dandy.
Big mistake.
A yelp escaping his lips before clenching his jaw tight. "I'mfine. I'mfine. Everythingshfine." He muttered through the frozen smile, jaw still clenched shut. Yeah no need to make a further embarrassment of yourself by whimpering like a girl Fool.
He coolly raised his wand arm about halfway (because really thats as far as he could lift it without crying for mama) and cast the lumos spell again, his eyes shifting to where he had come and the barrel Simon had landed on. "Barrels..." he uttered obviously then shuffled his way towards it. Rapping his knuckles against it he turned to the Gryffindor Captain "Wonder if this got something fun to drink?"
He was getting a little thirsty yknow.
"If you say so," Simon said simply with a shrug once Salander was back up on his feet. At least he had landed on his feet, the Slytherin hadn't been so lucky and it looked like it indeed hurt especially with the way he was tentatively moving but the wasn't about to push the younger boy. He would howeevr be more inclined to make sure when they left that they both were more careful.
The addition of the second lit wand brightened up the immediate area though the far reaches were still bathed in shadows. Simon followed back to the barrels trying to think himself what could be inside. "Could be a lot of things..." he mused. "Though depending on how long its been abandoned, I doubt that if there was anything to drink inside is probably not drinkable now," he added starting to walk a little further down the deck, the light dispersing just a little more.
A bit proud of herself, she eyed Sierra from the ground, excited to explore. Animals were excellent explorers and if she followed her instincts ... she would find the treasures. The girl was still motioning her to get down and when she was ordered to stand up, Lola immediately stood on both feet. "I'm sorry, Sierra, did I displeaaaaaase you?!" She frowned and then held on the girl's shoulders.
It was dark. Daaaark. What if all the Lumos spells suddenly disappeared and she would have no one to hold? This was precautionary! "It is me, Sierra! It's me, Lola Jones AKA friend!" The girl probably knew that, yeah? Yeah she did. With that thought in her mind, Lola grinned, proud that she had a friend like a Sierra. THE Sierra. HEHE.
Why was she all nice all of a sudden? Lola was curious. Lola was confused. PERPLEXED! She eyed at her with caution, wondering--WONDERING IF THE PIRATES HAD ABDUCTED THE REAL SIERRA GREINGOTH! "Uhhh uhh," she said nervously, leaning in towards the girl to see if she was a faker. As an actress, she knew if a person was a person. Years of studying. A slight bit of curiosity, she had--a sliiiiiiight bit.
"I don't know, Sierra! But c'mon, this looks fun," she stated and then started walking... pushing the girl's shoulders while she hid behind her. Sierra Greingoth was tough, bossy--A TRUE LEADER. She should be up front!
--IT'S NOT LIKE SHE DIDN'T NOTICE THE GIRL LOOKING AT SOMEBODY ELSE.
It was like, like she was... looking at someone. Brainwashed. Yep. Pirates definitely got her. "SIERRA! LOOK AT ME," she ordered, poking the girl cheek to cheek, obviously worried about the girl. Why was she looking at them like that? Now Jones didn't know who she was looking at but she had that dreamy look about it. Was she not the only pirate accomplice in this room? Hmm? HMM. Blushing even, she could see that hint of red in the dark!
Interesting. Lola only giggled. She continued pushing, taking out her wand in case something happened.
Holding his camera up "Hey Lola want me to get a shot of you and your Friend .So you can tell your friends bout the day Yall explored the haunted ship when you were at school ?"

My name is Oakey sir, and Captain oops I mean Professor Vindictus appointed me to be his ships Navigator was he even following what Oakey was telling him. Well, he just told me I can look at the maps carefully. But I'm having trouble reading them cause they're so old. It might tell us where this ship has been or where the crew was headed.
He was gonna ask him if the Captain's Log would have that kind of information in it as well, but Oakey had left Mordred to that task. So Mordred could ask him about it.
Where had Mordred gone to as well, He always disappears on Oakey?
"You're welcome to look at the maps," Tate nodded. "Carefully. But I'd like to gather up any papers we find and send them on to our historian friend. I think the safest way would be a personal delivery." That last statement was aimed specifically at Max. He knew exactly who Tate meant.

The Head Boy was a bit of a blooming idiot, and Tate would have to take him to task soon. Fighting in the corridors and carrying on like a ruddy first year. Sigh.
But still... this was a nice peaceful break for them all. "It was a good idea to invite them to join you. Well thought out." Pause. "Would you be willing to deliver the papers to Zan?"
It was you little brother i would walk quitely and watch were you step.Yeah this place is fun said hannah.well come on i help you in shorty.

There was a joke in there somewhere. Sally was sure of it... he tried not to look like he was thinking too hard, so settled for resting against the ship's structure and cupping his chin in what he thought was a contemplative pose, "Most people are not me."
He used to say that most people are not Malfoys, but since he'd arrived in this dastardly school, he'd met so many upstarts who aspired to the noble and ancient family name. Speaking of names...
"Salmandrius." he announced in an overly pompous way, but he liked to think that the wind was on his side, for at that very moment a breeze ruffled his bleached blonde locks. He held out his hand for her to shake, "Your pleasure, I'm sure."

GAAAAH! Oakey yelped as he heard Mordred behind him. [B]Geeze, Mordy do you live in the shadows or something? Oakey looked at the unreadable maps and left them with the Headmaster who seemed to know what to do with them.
Oakey looked to see where Mordred had gone off to and noticed he had already started for the lower deck. HEY DON'T LEAVE ME BEHIND AGAIN! IT'S DARK DOWN THERE! I'LL LOSE YOU FOR SURE Oakey yelled after him.

Christopher looked around awkwardly as the girl kept reading the book, her expression blank. "Erm...." He wasn't quite sure how to respond to that. Before he knew it, he looked back up and a pair of piercing green eyes were giving him a reproachful look. But atleast she was offering the book! "Thanks!" But she'd already turned around, moving onto the hat.
He waved a cloud of dust out of his face with a slight laugh. "I'd say!" He peered around her, a half smile on his face, his eyebrows raised just a little. "So, what's your name? I'm Christopher." He stepped next to her and held out his hand to shake hers.
Elektra smirked and put the hat above her head and looked into the mirror across the room and she smirks at herself forgetting that the boy was talking to her in the room and she lowers the hat and pivots on her heels then looks at him. "Elektra. Elektra Draven." With that she turned back around and put the hat a little above her head. "Hmm Captain had some taste."

"Alright then...." Christopher muttered under his breath as she shrugged off his hand shake. Ah, he knew she'd have an attitude. She turned her back on him, admiring herself in the old hat. Slytherins. This girl was probably the most Slytherin-ish person he'd ever met.... well, almost met.
The Gryffindor was abut t turn around and leave, as this raven-haired girl didn't seem to acknowledge his prescence. Maybe it was because he was a Gryffindor. He made a mental note not to shut out that he was Mugglebrn to her either. He didn't think that would go over too well. Then she turned back to him, smirking. "Elektra...." That name. Christpher was sure he'd heard it before. It wasn't a name easily forgotten. "Cool name." He concluded that he'd never be able to figure out who'd spoken of her before.
"Nice hat." Christopher had to try very hard not to laugh. He wondered what Violet would've said if she'd seen it. She was the fashion queen, and probably would've passed out when she saw it. Wait a minute.....
"Erm, do you by any chance have the pleasure of knowing a Violet Le Veela? Hyper, Hufflepuff, blonde, abut yay-high?" Christopher held up his hand to show that the girl to whom he was speaking of was not tall.

Treyen ignored the frowning. It wasn't the first time he'd done so, and then waved his hand as to dismiss the whole thing, "Nonsense, just pretend you're doing some research," wasn't that the same she did while on the Lab? "Or going through and old book or something," he commented, until his mind thought of something very important.
"Why are you still here, though? If you don't like it," he asked, bringing his eyebrows together for a moment, "It's not like someone is forcing you," or was there someone forcing her?
Sierra looked over at Treyen, noticing the older boy was watching her like he was just waiting for her to fall. Well, guess what, Mister Puffer Prefect?! I have my balance now! She made a move to distance herself from him, but at the same time she somehow remembered to look down and make sure she wasn't stepping into a pile of ropes again. Now a few feet away, she repeated, "Research and old books." Who did he think she was? A Ravenclaw?Kurumi Hollingberry?"Right, because both of those are just so interesting and fun." She finished her statement with an eye roll.
Turning her attention back to him, she smirked then playfully said, "...because, it...might be fun." Shrugging, she added, "Far be it from me to let you have all the fun."

Bum on deck. Literally and figuratively.
Least they knows the stairs work.
"Well," she said with a sigh, "...I guess we can go in now."

His head whipped around at the sound of someone falling below deck, "Was that a Hufflepuff?"
Sierra narrowed her eyes and studied the slightly older Slytherin for a few moments. He was afraid of getting his hands dirty? That seemed a little strange to her, but since he was a Slytherin, she'd overlook it. For now, at least. What he said afterward did get an eyebrow raise out of her, though. "A Hufflepuff," she repeated, suddenly seeing this boy in a new light. Could it be? Could she have really happened upon somebody who seemed to share the same opinions on the Puffers as she did? "You don't like Hufflepuffs?"Please say yes. Please say yes.
It would pretty much make her entire school year to have finally met someone who thought the lot of them were pretty much mistakes. She needed this boy around during that whole argument with Michael White in the corridors. Before he could answer, though, some other girl, another Slytherin she hadn't met, wandered up and started a conversation with him. Sierra regarded the girl with a quick glance and then turned away.

"Wait!" Sierra called out, glancing over just in time to overhear a boy about her age mention going in. She stepped over a few pieces of tangled rope to catch up to the boy before he went down the hatch. "I'll go down, too." She looked at the boy a few more seconds and then turned to Treyen. "Treyen?" In other words, step on it and come with us!

There was never a win with this girl, wasn't there? At least she was smart. And where was Kurumi when one needed the girl, eh?
"Right." He said, and almost mimicked her rolling of the eyes, ALMOST. But didn't. "Never mind me, then," that should be an easy task for Sierra, no? He knew very little of her, but the little he knew was that she never gave up...that only means...whichever her purpose was by staying on a ship she wished not to be, then, she wasn't getting off until that purpose was accomplished.
But, wait...FUN? He chuckled as she spoke, and then shook his head, "Yeah, good thing I don't mind sharing," he winked her way and then Salander sort of...fell down there. Great. Just great.
Since the boy was trying to hear if any of the ones who'd entered the darkness needed assistance, the question about Hufflepuffs was conveniently ignored.
Sierra's exclamation brought him back to the place he was currently standing on, and then she was off to follow another Slytherin boy. He was rather surprised that she'd called him back, but that only meant...., "Yes, Sierra? Do you want me to lead the way?" he said, a smirk on his face. It was rather obvious that perhaps she wanted the Hufflepuff to go first, in case something happened, right? Nah, Sierra was a sweet Slytherin, no?
He held out his hand for her to shake, "Your pleasure, I'm sure."
ooc: I wanna SMACK these kids! Or go vomit. lol
"Elise." Elise took Salamandrius' hand in hers and shook it. "Pretty sure the pleasure's more yours than mine." She spoke like a true member of her family: very proud and confident. She liked for people to remember her name since she always left some sort of impression. Good or bad didn't matter, her father always said, as long as you leave your mark on someone. The cool breeze felt good on her arms as it blew her hair slightly forward but not enough to where it would end up in her face or tangled.
ooc: these two...my god I can't also I keep thinking people talking to Anna's character are talking to me
But still... this was a nice peaceful break for them all. "It was a good idea to invite them to join you. Well thought out." Pause. "Would you be willing to deliver the papers to Zan?"
"Certainly," Max replied and took off the tricorn hat. So much for pretending he was the captain of a ship. "I can do than on my way to the International Association of Quidditch meeting."
He handed Tate the hat. "Take care of that. And make sure no one dies during the Quidditch tryouts while I'm gone."
Hehe.
Vindictus gave Tate a salute and marched down the gangplank to dry land. There was a bounce in his step as he made his way back to the Castle.

Caroline stared at the ship it didn't look like to bad of a ship for how old it was. She wondered around outside of the ship. Taking a few steps back to get the whole view of the ship. Well what she could of it by stepping back. It was huge, it looked so tiny from the other end of the lake. She walked up that plank, cool She wondered if acutal real pirates walked over this plank once. That would be cool. She walked back down it again, and took a light jump off and landed on the ground.
It was as if what had just happen didn't bother her. She was happy and no one would change that. She waited for Kyle and Carter. While she waited she started to hum, A pirates life for me. It seem appropriate since there was a huge pirate like ship right in front of her.
As Kyle made her way to the ship she noticed Vindictus leaving - oh boy, that meant there was less of a chance to be super-yelled-at in true boar like fashion. She almost lost her footing three times as she walked up to where Caroline was standing.
"Caroline!" She called waving, slipping on the grass, but not falling. She continued walking to the plank, it was sturdy and maybe she wouldn't hurt herself - she hoped.
"So ready?" She asked excitedly because she was ready to both meet Carter and to explore the ship.
