| | | Ravenclaw Common Room The Ravenclaw common room is a wide, circular room at the top of the seventh floor. Graceful arched windows punctuate the walls, which are hung with blue-and-bronze silks. During the day, Ravenclaws have a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. Overhead, the ceiling is domed and painted with stars, which are echoed in the midnight-blue carpet. There are tables, chairs, and bookcases, and in a niche opposite the door stands a tall statue of white marble: Rowena Ravenclaw. A delicate-looking circlet has been reproduced in marble on her head with the tiny words 'Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure' etched into the diadem. The statue stands beside a door that leads up to the dormitories above. Come in, have a seat and make new friends. Welcome to Ravenclaw! |

Finlay thought about it for a second, and decided that he should probably agree with her. "Yes. I'd say so." Unless they like had house elves. Finn smiled at her. He really did hope they'd stay friends after they graduated, he was rather fond of Neptune. She was like his closest friend now.
"Yeah..." He mused, grinning at her. "I'm going to university on mars." Because that was very far away. Finn laughed though, and shook his head. "We can owl each other." Although there was one thing on his mind. "What are you doing next year anyway?"

Sometimes they both needed something a little more substantial. Like hugs. Though, Neptune hoped she wouldn't have to owl Finlay for hugs.
She flipped a stray curl off her shoulder and turned her nose up. "I have.... a hint at what I might be doing." On a more serious note, she flashed a glance at the Head Boy, "But I'm not ready to share what it might be. I'll let you know though, okay? When I figure it out?" |

oh. But she wasn't telling him. "Understandable..." Finlay had never heard Neptune talk about future plans, so he wasn't going to push her out. "You better..." He mused, snuggling into her. He knew they'd stay in contact whatever happened in the future. There friendship was special.

Now that part Neptune DID agree with. "I know." Her haughtiness deflated at the thought of not seeing Finny everyday. Or Legend. Lexi. And ... others. One in particular that bothered her more than the rest. The others she COULD owl or floo to if she missed them enough.
SIGH.
Not worth thinking about. "I will. I'll send you my address so you can visit. Pretty sure I'll be in London."

…but she never felt it when she had to say good bye to Vashti or Enya or Kita. Meeeh, probably because they never climbed a tree, swim in the lake or tried to do a Patronus together. Yep. That must be it.
"Barty? You should send him to my aunt's house then." She nodded at that and at giving her his number, "Yes. That'd be great." Phones were more convenient, hearing his voice and all. Not that she wouldd not survive without it of course, it was just.. more real. Right?
WHAT? :O NO WAY! She was not going to get tired while she had the chance to hang around with him probably for the last time this term! *breathless* "No, no, no. I'm not in the least tired." She straightened herself up to prove it, "I was out there reading a book when evening finally showed up. We had to get inside." She explained simply. Okay, move on to more investigation friendly topics, "Planning on doing something this summer? Go out on vacation..?" Maybe going back home was considered a 'go out on vacation' for him.. ? Dallin nodded, half-smiling. He was actually really glad that Louisa agreed to write to him. He had a feeling that maybe this summer wouldn't be quite so... lonely. Of course he'd probably still spend most of his time alone. But writing to people and talking to people on the phone would be a nice change. He should do it more often. "Do you have a quill or something?" he hadn't noticed if she had brought a bag with her, so he thought he might as well ask.
O_o Well then, that was settled. Dal smirked at her reaction to him suggesting she went to bed. "Alright," he said with a laugh, "I just don't want you to feel like you have to stay up with me." He had a feeling that he would be up really late tonight; he didn't know why, though, but he wasn't tired in the slightest.
Leaning the side of his face on the back of the couch, Dal thought about her question. "No," he answered thoughtfully. At least he didn't know of any plans. And considering that his family hadn't gone on a real vacation in years it wasn't likely that it was going to happen now. "I'll probably do the same thing as usual... surf, swim, and spend every minute possible on the beach." Which, after spending months at Hogwarts, sounded especially inviting. "What about you?"

Oh. Finlay really hadn't been talking about that too much. He didn't want to think about it. "We haven't really talked about it...."

Beth sighed, curled up on the sofa, her blonde hair falling in her eyes. What a fun way to spend you fifteenth birthday, eh? No. She had nothing to do, and no-one to do anything with. She tried to send a telepathic brainwave to everyone else in the room that it was her birthday, but she didn't want to say so out loud...

"I'll probably do the same thing as usual... surf, swim, and spend every minute possible on the beach." Which, after spending months at Hogwarts, sounded especially inviting. "What about you?" Does she have a quill? She gave him a shifty look. Moving the hem of her top up, Louisa got her wand out and spoke, " Accio quill." A dozen quills flew toward the girl, she picked one, " A lot of students leave theirs in here and since no one's around here studying we could borrow one," HEHEHE. Now, a parchment was the problem. Kind of. The girl jumped off the couch, snatched her Hippogriffs book from the stand she'd put it on earlier and sat back down closer to him. " Here. Problem solved," She smiled proudly and handed him both tools.
Had to? More like wanted to. Louisa shook her head, smiling subtly, and said, " Not at all. I think this could be one of the latest nights that we can spend tog-" She suddenly coughed trying to assess her oncoming words. Spending together; was it too much?
...
Nah. " -together. We should make sure it's going to be as fantastic as this term had been." No blushing this time. Maybe because she meant it sincerely and the uncomfy feeling had nothing to do with it, or maybe because her feelings were starting to get stronger to be hid under red shaded face.
The thirteen years old shifted in her place, sitting on her folded legs and facing Dallin. And she wasn't sitting on the far end of the couch anymore- in the center. " I'm not sure. It depends on my family, really. Whether they decide to come back from France or not," She did mention it to him before, right? Now the thing that she hadn't told him was, " And that depends on my brother's health condition. He's been hospitalized there. As far as my mom wrote to me, he's very good now. So I don't know.." She shrugged. " What I do know, though, is that I will never stay with my aunt for three months! I might go and stay with Marina." She smiled, the idea sounding so cheerful for her, " She's like my guardian. Godmother. Whatever you want to call it. I like her," Except maybe for the fact that Louisa always mouthed off at her, refused to write to her or treat her as more than a stranger. But, yeah, Marina was better than Aunt Brown.

Dallin rolled his eyes at the obvious answer to his question. There were quills all over this room, as Louisa pointed out when she summoned them all to her. When she handed him her book to write on, though, his eyes widened. He didn't mind writing in the book, but he was surprised that she had offered it to him. Was it hers or the library's?
Deciding that it didn't really matter he opened the book to one of the totally blank pages and in very small handwriting wrote his home phone number. With a smile he handed it back to Louisa. "There. It's my house phone, so you'll have to ask for me. Chances are I won't be around to answer it so if I'm not home just say that it's you, and leave your number and I'll get the message. 'Kay?" He couldn't help the sudden excited tone his voice had taken.
His excited died quickly, though, when she mentioned that this would be one of the last nights they could spend together. Maybe that's why he wasn't tired - he wanted to soak up as much friend-and-Hogwarts time as possible before he left for the summer. It made sense.
He rested his arm on the back of the couch again as she shifted closer to him and began telling him all about her plans for the summer. He nodded at the right places and tried to keep up with her even though he had no idea what she was talking about half of the time. Finally, when he could get a word in, he laughed a little. "Good luck, then," he said with a sharp nod, "With how you want things to go, I mean. Of course you're always welcome in Florida if you get tired of being with... whoever you're with." He was sort of joking; how would she even get to the U.S. with all that stuff going on?

Luna walked into the common room she looked around to see people she knew but nobody she knew was there everyone was in groups really
She saw a fourth year on the couch and it didn't hurt to say hi she walked over to her ''Hi'' Luna smiled ''I'm Luna Kieren nice to meet you'' she said and she sat down on a chair nearest to the couch

Victoria noticed that it was a fourth year girl was giving her the message but another girl walked towards her, she smiled at them and then she went back to her wedding magazine

"What about you?" She stared down at the number while he explained, and nodded. " Okay. I have to consider the time difference as well," She closed the book and put it on the far end of the sofa with the quill on top of it. Louisa looked back at him and raised her eyebrows in surprise, " You spend the whole time on the beach? That sounds like... summer," She chuckled, " I don't get to spend much time there. I haven't been to the sea for two years actually," She said thoughtfully, frowning slightly, " The last time I went there... I found out that I was a witch," a story that used to annoy her but now she felt indifferent to the whole thing.
She nodded in agreement at his 'good luck', " I do need it. And 'whoever' is Aunt Brown. She's my stepfather's big sister: Old lady, isn't convinced that there is something called real magic, and forces me to act like a lady.." Rolling her eyes, she pointed down at her crossed legs underneath her, " ..if she ever saw that I sit down like this in public, she would get a heart attack," Scoff, " I don't like it there. She had no one living with her and when mom and Jason.." She paused. Taking a long moment thinking about it, she spoke again, " Jason's my stepdad. He's raised me with mom ever since I remember life. I have two younger brothers, Jason's sons." Louisa looked at Dallin with a small, fake smile, " I'm not allowed to be around them much. Not until 'I control my magic'," she made quotation marks in her fingers, " Muggle parents SUCK when they deal with their first magical child," in case he was wondering.
" So, yeah, I'd rather go to Florida than stay at Aunt Brown waiting for Jason to let me see my brothers," She said it playfully, but a hint of bitter was blended in. She loved Jason and made a decision to understand his motivation to 'protect' his sons.. but sometimes, she just wanted him to understand her back.

She loved Jason and made a decision to understand his motivation to 'protect' his sons.. but sometimes, she just wanted him to understand her back. Meh; he hadn't even considered time differences. "I'm more likely to answer it myself at night," Dallin said after a minute of thought. He wondered what his parents' reactions would be if someone called and asked for him. The last time that had happened was when Dal had been in muggle school. His mom would definitely think it was interesting, that was for sure. "As much time as I can," he answered with a small laugh when she asked about the beach. "I live super close to it - I can walk to it. And I know of a little spot that's really secluded. With hardly any tourists and stuff." He couldn't stop the smile that had made its way onto his face as he spoke, and he practically had to shake himself out of his thoughts to make sure he listened to and understood what Louisa was talking about next.
He listened carefully when she started telling him about her family; she had never done that before, and he wanted to make sure he understood everything. It sounded... complicated. Very complicated. And apparently she was a Muggleborn too - at least that's the way it sounded. And that was confirmed by the last sentence in her spill. He'd heard a lot of different stories about how Muggle parents acted when they found out that their child was magical.
A small, mischievous smile appeared as he thought about the first time his sisters had gotten a letter from Merlin's. "My parents thought it was a practical joke when my sisters were accepted into school. They sent a letter back to the Headmistress - who they thought was a joke, too - and when she wrote back to them they had to believe. They were excited, though. It explained how weird things happened where Hannah and Kinzie were concerned." His story, however, was very different from his sisters'.

That must be afternoon in England or something, she had to get a book about world's clock or whatever. Or just look it up somewhere on the internet. Anyways, Louisa felt the excitement of their arrangements and embraced it strongly- the feeling could send her happy for the rest of term even if Ryden passed by and smacked her on the head.
Aww! A secluded spot on the ocean.. that was impressive. Very. Especially for a boy. She hugged her knees, again, and leaned her head on top of them, " Why do you sit there by yourself? What do you think of?" She needed to know what goes through his mind... behind the smirks, jokes, and laughs he held a deep personality it was clear now.
She laughed at his parents' reaction, " I think my real father would be proud of me if he found out." She said excitedly, " Although I've never met him or heard his voice, I know that he'd be proud to have a daughter just like him- magical," the last word had been completely full of dreamy tone. After staring blankly, smiling, at the space above Dal's head, she lowered her gaze to meet his, " How did your parents act when they found out about you?" She never heard the story from a muggleborn. All of her friends were either Purebloods or half and half.

After staring blankly, smiling, at the space above Dal's head, she lowered her gaze to meet his, "How did your parents act when they found out about you?" She never heard the story from a muggleborn. All of her friends were either Purebloods or half and half. That question totally caught Dal off-guard. He just stared at Louisa for a moment before taking a deep breath and starting to think. Well, the first question was easy to answer, at least. "Why?" He shrugged. "Because... it's peaceful. And honestly there's no one to sit with." He said it in a matter-of-fact tone; he didn't want pity or anything. He didn't need any. He was perfectly fine with being alone with just himself and the sand and the ocean. "Besides, it's only at night that I just sit on the beach. Usually I'm surfing or swimming."
Louisa's next question, however, was harder to answer. Much harder. "What do I think about?" he repeated, a wrinkle forming over his eyebrows as he thought. "Well, a lot of stuff. It depends on the day. And how I'm feeling." He paused, thinking about stopping there... but he was sure that that answer wouldn't satisfy Louisa, so he sort of forced himself to continue. "Usually I like to think about the ocean itself. And traveling." Another pause... then he plowed on. "Or sometimes school and friends and family. Anything, really. Whatever crosses my mind."
Boy, he was talking about himself a lot, wasn't he? He bit his lip, thinking he should revert the conversation back to her... but she had asked him something else, so it was only polite to reply. Oh, and it turned out that he'd been wrong; she wasn't a Muggleborn. Whoops.
He chuckled a bit, hiding his embarrassment as he talked. "My mom was really glad when we found out that I was a wizard, too. But it was a shock, sort of, 'cause my parents thought they'd already figured out the reason behind my 'abnormality.'" He made air-quotes around the word and rolled his eyes. Then, biting his lip again, he looked at Louisa. "I have ADHD, see, and they thought that was the reason I acted differently. Me being a wizard just added to the fact that I'm 'different.'" He made air-quotes again and pulled a slightly hurt face, looking down at his hands clasped in his lap. Right, stop talking now, Dallin.
