"Well I do want something but you'll just think I'm crazy again," he said quietly. Notes? Pfft he didn't take notes but that wasn't what he wanted. He brought his hand up and started running it lightly along her back giving her a pseudo massage. "I want you to go out with me. On a date," he gave her a wide grin feeling more excited than he had in awhile.

Neptune remained balanced on the arm chair, not at all minding the nice back rubbing. She actually didn't think much of it at all and simply enjoyed it.

"I do think you're crazy," she agreed to that much. "You're still on this?" Really? Neptune slunk down into the chair with him, squishing him and wedging herself in next to him. "It'll be... strange, Ivan," Neptune was a little bit defeated on this though.

On one hand, she always had fun with Ivan. Always. But on the other, Ivan was closer to other Ravenclaws than to her. Wouldn't it be complicated and hard right from the get-go?

"I'm not crazy and yes I'm still on about this." And he wasn't going to get off of it until she said yes! What was she.... His eyes widened as she sat on him and he moved as far over as he could to give her room though that wasn't much.

"It won't be strange. I promise. One date. If it doesn't work it doesn't work and I'll never bring it up again," he said nodding as he wrapped his arm around her. "Promise." He had to stop himself from bouncing though he couldn't really do anything but tap his feet and the grin was still there as wide as ever.

Neptune scrunched her face up at him. She did NOT think it a good idea and she STILL thought him... crazy. But comfortable, too, so she snugged in good. Maybe she could nap? Mmm.

In fact, she did yawwwwn big before answering. "No sneak kisses," she yawned again. "Just... a date. And I need a pretty quill," so they'd go buy one in Hogsmeade.

Seeing the look she gave him, Ivan raised an eyebrow and then smiled as she leaned into him. Seeing her yawn he leaned his head against hers and simply held her chuckling at her comment about kisses.

"No sneak kisses. I'll give you warning instead," he teased. "A date and a pretty quill. Gotcha." Was she going to fall asleep leaning against him? That would be so....

He blinked confused as to what just happened he felt...different. He turned his head slightly and saw NEPTUNE sitting on him.

What...was going on.... He stiffened slightly and looked around. Why was Neptune leaning against him? And seemed to be falling asleep?

Neptune nuzzled her face into his shoulder, willing him to be more comfortable. Her eyes were closed and once she got her feet pulled up into the chair with them, she was miiiiighty comfortable. "Mmm you're being weird again. And too easy. 'spose to be giving me a hard," she stopped for another giant yawn, "tiiiiime."

But she wouldn't say no to a DATE with Ivan. Dinner, talking. No harm there. Neptune wasn't exactly asleep with these thoughts, but she wasn't far from it. It'd been a LOOOONG day and the Common Room was relatively quiet and warm...

Ivan's eyes widened as Neptune nuzzled his shoulder and seemed to in fact to be falling asleep. "I'm being weird?" How so? She was the one all over him...now that was weird.

He tilted his head to look at her and saw that she was wearing the earrings he'd gotten for her weeks ago. How...? What in the hell was going on here? "I can give you a hard time if you want," he said with a slight smirk though he was feeling really REALLY confused. But...she looked sweet as she rested against him and a small smile came to his face. He relaxed and took a deep breath before letting it out slowly.

What exactly had happened...? "I take it I'm comfortable to sleep on?" But why was she.... UGH he'd never been so confused in his life. Last he remembered he had been talking to her in the Entrance Hall with Lexi about Neptune's birthday. "What's today?" he asked trying to make it sound casual.

"Not sleeping. Just...resting. Princess beauty sleep and all that," he knew how that went, Neptune was sure. "Mmm? Umm... Tuesday. Did you forget to do an essay or something?" He needed to be still. Neptune patted at his chest to convey this message.

"Umm...no I don't think I did..." Then again he didn't remember anything since...when...Friday? Ugh his head hurt now thinking about it.

"A blue eagle quill? When are we doing that?" he asked closing his eyes and leaning his head back against the chair. He needed to figure out what happened and why he couldn't remember anything.

She was pretty much giving up entirely on the napping, so she leaned back, upside down almost to streeeetch across and get her History books and letters from her chair. Once she had them, Neptune opened her book and stuffed the letters into the back. "And I suppose that is some sort of joke to get you out of trouble for sneak kissing me?" Hmmm? Neptune narrowed her eyes suspiciously at him. SHE wasn't forgetting that anytime soon. OR going to let him live it down.

She put her book facing him. "Read to me," Neptune pointed out where she'd left off with her studying. He'd benefit from a little studying TOO this way.

Ivan smirked and leaned toward her ear and said teasingly, "If the shoe fits." He smiled at her and hearing her question raised an eyebrow. "Are you saying I'm never a good boy? I could be if I wanted to but, I never want to." He gave her a wink and another smirk enjoying the playful banter.

It was then that she chose to stretch across him and brought his free hand up to his face hiding a smirk as he watched her. Waiiiiiiit. He had KISSED HER??? Like actually kissed her? And he didn't remember?! Uuuuuuuuugh that was just unacceptable.

Looking down at the book she had in front of him and up at her he shook his head. "I don't want to read. And...I was being serious. I don't remember." But she was more than welcome to show him. He brought his hand up to her cheek and pushed some hair behind her ear. "I don't remember anything after running into you in the entrance hall," he said seriously. He ran his fingers along the back of her ear and to her earring. "I remember buying these since I bought them over the break but I don't remember giving them to you. Or the 'sneak kiss' as you put it. Though that I won't mind having a reenactment of," he said that last with a smirk.

"Well.... well I would mind, thank you very much. I don't just give out kisses to anyone, and particularly not to boys that are playing coy about my birthday party." HMPH.

She pouted a little and flipped her history pages a little roughly. Ivan was MESSING with her and she wasn't ....feeling it. Why all this "don't remember" mumbo? HMPH. She'd forget him! HMPHHMPHHMPH!

"Well I know that," he said shaking his head.

Pursing his lips he frowned as she still didn't believe him. He moved his arm finally from around her and leaned his head on it with a sigh. Figures on both the kissing and the not believing.

Watching her move her feet he sighed, "I wish you'd believe me. I really don't remember." He stood up actually not wanting to leave but he needed answers.

"Then whether you're trying to or not, you're achieving it anyway." That's fiiiiiiiiine. Just forget about Neptune. She should have known better, Ivan being who he was.

"Maybe we'll just forget the date, too." Neptune got up, too, but to move back to her chair, which she swiveled around so the back of it would be to Ivan the Mean and then plopped back down into it, hidden from his sight.

Ivan looked at Neptune with raised eyebrows as she spoke. Really? Was she really being that way? Apparently. He was staring at the back of the chair now and sighed.

He didn't know what he was doing but he was walking back around the chair and knelt on the floor in front of her. "Tuney, don't be that way. I want to go out with you." Wait? What????? Ummm....hmm.

Standing up he sat next to her on the arm of the chair and propped his feet up on a nearby table. It was kind of awkward but he ran his fingers along her cheek with a small smile. He couldn't even tell what he was doing any more and he was thinking clearly. "Dinner tonight. Meet me in the Room of Requirement."
