Hogwarts-nice? It is so much more than that, Gwen wanted to reply, but thought it would be quite remarkable of her not to be mean. Just this time...

'I started exploring the castle...I don't want to miss anything.I...' she replied grinning,but, when she wanted to continue she noticed another girl standing alone quite near of them. Well, try being nice Gwen, she told herslef, and finally decided to talk to her as well.

'Hi there!', she replied to the girl, hoping Luna wouldn't mind.

"Oh hi, I'm Rachel, am I interruputing something? Sorry!" Rachel said, hoping that they werent talking about something important.

''Hmm good idea'' said Luna ''Good to know where your going isn't it'' said Luna with a smile

''Hey Rachel'' said Luna with a smile she didnt talk to Rachel for a long time now ''Oh this is Gwen'' said Luna kind of wondering why she hadn't said that first

"Hi!" Rachel said to the other girl, " Hows school Luna?" Rachel asked, they hadnt spoken for a long time now so it was a bit awkward talking, "Have you met any new friends?" as soon as she said this, Rachel realized that it was a stupid question.

''Great classes are going good tranfiction is ... interesting.....'' said Luna with a bit of a smile ''And yes I have made some new friends how about you'' said Luna thinking about that was kind of a stupid question they didn't meet for a while so she bound to have a few more friends

"Yeah I have, sorry that was a really stupid question, I love flying its so cool, you get to fly!!!" Rachel said, she smiled and said, "So have you got any mail?" Why did she ask that? She had just been talking to Presley about her not getting any, and about her mum, she was being really stupid, she had only just recovered from the conversation about mail with Presley, she didnt want to cry in frount of Luna too, "No dont answer that, I was just..." Rachel, why cant you be normal, come on! Luna dosent want to talk about mail!

''Its okay'' said Luna with a lovely kind smile ''I love flying too I do get to fly my dad thought me'' said Luna now thinking about being on a broom ''Yes from my family lots of letters a few packages by the way I dont mind talking about mail its a good topic'' said Luna now thinking that sounded really silly and felt quite embarresed now ''Anyway I think being a bit diffront is always good'' said Luna with the same smile she had a habbit to smile it was kind of difficult to stop for her but she thought it made people think she was more friendly

"I havnt got any mail, my mum is really ill, and she is going to die, I havnt got any news on how she is though." Rachel said, it was easier to talk to people about her mum now, Presley really helped her.

Luna was amazed she couldn't see anyone die specialy one of her friends mother ''Thats awful'' said Luna in a really worried voice ''And they havn't told you anything thats just wrong how do you feel about it'' said Luna she wouldn't be able to bare her mother dying she felt like she would hug Rachel but Luna wasn't really like that ''Sorry i'm asking so many questions'' said Luna hoping that Rachel wouldn't think of her being nosey so she decided not to ask anymore questions and try help her friend

Everyone was talking, and Presley decided to join in. "Hey, Luna," She smiled at the new acquiantence (sp?). "I'm Presley Black. I'm a first year as well. I've seen you around. It's nice to meet you."

Olivia finally made it to the common room, exhausted after so many classes. Slightly breathless from the stairs, she practically collapsed onto an armchair next to Luna. "Hey," she said to her friend before looking at the other two girls sitting with them, glad she'd gotten there in time to hear Presley's introduction. "Since I interrupted, I guess i should tell you both that I'm Olivia O'Hughes," she said to both Presely and Rachel.

Rachel looked sad about something, but Olivia didn't feel she knew Rachel enough to prod, instead she just gave Rachel a slightly concerned look before glancing away again, still attempting to catch her breath.

Luna turned round trying to take the concerened look off her face after what Rachel had told her what happened she was quite worried ''Hello nice to meet you Presley'' said Luna trying to make a smile again she liked making friends specially people that she thought looked nice and Presley loooked soft and friendly to her ''Ive seen you around the common room before'' said Luna now trying to make some conversation for Presley she didnt want her left out of the conversation

''Hey Olivia'' said Luna she almost didn't see her for a moment Olivia was another one of Luna dearest friends she had a few ''Sorry I didn't see you there'' said Luna noticing that Olivia looked really tired ''You look tired were you running?'' asked Luna she heard her friend panting ''Oh introductons or did you know each other there is Gwen, Rachel and Presley which I just met now'' said Luna she didn't now much about Presly but she didn't want to forget her it wouldn't seem friendly

"Its okay, I feel better about talking about it now, I just wish I could hear how she is!" Rachel said, "And just so you know, I dont think that you are being nosey, I like it when people ask questions."Rachel told her.

Luna noticed that Gwen was quite left out of the conversation ''Oh sorry I forgot to introduse'' said Luna trying to get her in the conversation so they would all be friends ''This is Rachel, Olivia and Presley'' said Luna pointing at each of them when she said their name then Luna smiled at Gwen to see if that helped much

Luna looked less worried but still she cared an awful lot ''Thats good'' said Luna if she didn't mind so much about talking about it that is less frightning thought Luna to herself ''Oh right sorry anyway'' said Luna looking relived that she wasn't known as bossy

"Thats OK, dont worry about it." Rachel said, Luna was being really nice to her about her mum.

Luna looked better now ''So flying wasn't that we were talking about'' said Luna really trying to change the subject then putting her pygmy puff on her shoulder ''Flying lessons were fantastic really liked them'' said Luna with a very kind smile

'Nice to meet you all...', Gwen replied and grinned.

The girl then listened to what Luna started talikng about. Flying. Oh, brother..., she thought, remembering how hopeless she had been at that class. Fun?, yeah right...

Hoping she wouldn't have to tell enyone what a total disaster she was, Gwen started thinking of an excuse to get out of the conversation and go read something for Potions...(the class she actually liked but didn't want to tell anyone about it, thinking they would concider her crazy, since students where afraid of the Proffesor.)

Find an excuse...quick..., but try not to sound rude, she thought.

"So what do you think of Flying lessons? I love them!" Rachel said cheerfully, "What do you think of Potions then? I like it, but I dont think that I am very good at it!" Rachel said, it was trye, she loved Potions but she was really not very good at it!

"Nah. It's just... so many stairs! We didn't have any stairs in my house. Everything was on one floor. And the towers look great from the outside, but actually getting to the places in them? I thought I was going to die on the way to Divination." Olivia laughed before waving and smiling at Gwen.

Olivia thought for a moment. "Flying is okay. I like the feeling of getting in the air, but then I look down. And that's if I can even get the broom to go up. I actually like potions. The professor seems a little... snappish, though. But nothing like Transfiguration. That man completely ruins the class for me!"

She wondered if anyone else agreed with her that Shaw was just... a vulgar excuse for a teacher.

''Gwen which classes did you like'' asked Luna curiously to one of her new friends ''Flying was cool'' said Luna ''But I did it before so its not to hard'' said Luna smiling at her

''I think flyings brilliant'' said Luna ''I loved history of magic it was cool'' said Luna smiling ''Potions is okay i'm quite good at it too'' said Luna now smiling

"I love flying," Presley added to the conversation. "It's the best ever!" She loved soaring above the world, and letting the wind caress her face. It was the most amazing free feeling in the world. Presley hadn't realized until just his minute exactly how many girls she shared a dormitory with! But they all seemed sweet and friendly.

''It is great'' said Luna happily ''Great to zoom all over the place'' said Luna with a yawn ''I think i'll go to bed soon'' said Luna now looking tired

Victoria was excited about going to see her fiance at the weekend but she decided to finish her homework before she leaves.

Spike made his way down from the dorms, a puzzled and worried expression on his face. Killy and Kranky were nowhere to be seen. They'd vanished. He'd checked all round his bed, under his pillow, on the window sill...and still nothing. He was sure he'd had them up in the boys dorms last.

Could they have made it downstairs? He didn't honestly think so, but it was worth a look. He hated not knowing where they were, and missed their presence in his pockets. He was getting more and more worried. They were only ickle, and what if some big scary cat went after them? Or an owl? Or a stampy foot? Wibble.

Going on to all fours, Spike started his search by peering under his favourite sofa. "Killy? Kranky?" he coaxed, hoping they'd come out if they heard his voice. "It's me, I've got food if you want it." He desperately wanted to hear their welcoming croak, letting him know they were okay and were only having a little explore. He moved round to the next sofa.

"Killy...Kranky?"

Brielle stepped into the common room, it was a bit more silent today, she noticed. Not that it ever became any more noisy anyway. She often wondered how the other houses' common rooms looked like. But, being in one of the towers, Brielle knew it was safe to assume that the Gryffindor common room was most alike to their's.

Having finished her homework, she had been lounging on her bed, savoring the time alone... until she heard a loud croak below her bed. So now, here she was, holding a slimy green toad in her small hands. She wasn't that fond of them, so she was a bit confused on what to do next. Pursing her lips, she was just about to head out of the room until she spotted a boy down on his fours, looking under the sofas.

Looking for what? A frog perhaps?

Thinking it was very probable that the boy was the owner of the animal she now held in her hands, Brielle walked to him and said, "Hey there, are you perhaps looking for this?" she held out the frog.
