"I get that - and maybe we can help eachother with classes this year - you know, make it so that the lovely Claw's win the house cup this term...its been far too long" she added feeling her house's pride was high recently, but the marks had been exceedingly low. Pathetic.

"Ooh you mean Defense Against the Dark Arts" Kyle nodded, "we might need to do personal learnings on that this term - the minister of Magic is the Professor and I heard from some people that the one called Lord Berty Borr isn't the most brilliant of Professor's he taught here before...as a Ministry placed teacher" she explained what little she knew of it - and thats all she knew. That he had taught here before - and that he was a robust man, and that was from Alicia telling her about the run in with the new Minister before he became the Minister.

"And I have to say, Professor Descoteaux is really nice - and just try not to oggle him...he's odd about that, last term a student put a Niffler in his office on purpose so she would get detention" Kyle explained with a laugh. That was a funny story - and Rae was a nice girl. Maybe a little-too-into Professor Descoteaux.

"Oh and if you need help flying I know how to myself - I can help teach you - that and Professor Vindictus, our head of house is the flying instructor" she explained with a smile. He was though and sometimes made her quake with fear. Shy little girl that she was sometimes - and only enough only around him or in Rune's class when extremely exposed in 'viking' wear.

She leaned her head over to his shoulder and pondered through what that meant. A good thing he couldn't have her. "It is a good thing," she decided. "Neither of us can screw all this up beyond repair." Which they both seemed pretty good at doing.

"Welll...." Finlay considered, as he rested his legs on the coffee table again. He was going to try not to say anything silly, but he had a feeling that he probably would end up upsetting her again. "I wouldn't be horrible to you" He didn't know about the other way. But Finlay still snuggled her close. Part of him didn't really care if she was horrible to him. Everyone else was anyway.

Finlay stroked her hair again gently, smiling. She really was so cute, just so little, and lovely. "I'd hate if I screwed this up." He admitted quietly. "You're the one girl I've not messed things up with." And he was pretty proud of that. Hence why he didn't want to screw things up.

Noel frowned at this one-word reply, but didn't press the topic. It was obvious Louisa didn't want to talk about it. Although really... she might have not mentioned it at all, because now he was curious and if she really didn't want to elaborate then why say anything? Why were girls so... contradictory?

She was obviously trying to be friendly to Kana, but he doubted she actually meant it. There was something about her that just wasn't that... sincere. Maybe that would become obvious with time.

"So where are you from then?" he asked her, trying on is part to act friendly too. Although he had a feeling that Kana was way better at the acting part than he could ever be.

Gwen came in looking exhausted. She took a seat and looked around. The girl kept staring at the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw, and, after a while she studied the rest of the room. For her, this room really inspired wisdom.

Ellie sat quietly, petting her kitten softly. She missed Salem, being with her friends and having fun. She didn't have any friends at Hogwarts yet except for her kitten Nico, and that was pretty sad. She smiled at a few people around the room, but otherwise stayed still. She was too shy to go up to anyone.

"Yes!!! That's the name of the lesson. Defense against the dark arts," said Stella relieved, she thought that she found never remember the name. "And if you'd like I can help you with your homework and you can help me with mine," she said beginning to fidget with her hair. "Are you serious that the teacher is called Mr. Bore," she said pausing for a second. "Wow, he probably had a very hard childhood with that name," she sarcastically.

Stella knew that their head of house is the Quidditch teacher but she didn't like that much, he seems to be a bit strict but she doesn't know him that well so she can't be sure that he is really like that. "Yessss!!!" said Stella with joy when Kyle agreed to teach her how to ride a broom. "Teach me today, when ever you want," she said happily but sounding a bit desperate. "Please," she added sweetly.

Neptune didn't have any reason to trust or distrust his words. He'd never been anything but kind and there for her; but he had a long history of misshapen relationships.

...not that any of that mattered. He wasn't asking, Neptune was sort of still all tangled up elsewhere, and.... other things.

"Just don't ever ask me to be your girlfriend and we should be fine. That stupid saying... if it isn't broke, don't fix it? We're not broken so let's not mess with things." Neptune wrapped her arm around his tummy and HUGGED back. Finally.

"Did you send me owls this summer?" Since Neptune's grounding, she hadn't received any owls.

Neptune was more of a sister to him, the sister that he loved a lot. Finlay was not about to ruin that. If there was one girl he didn't want to mess things with it was Neptune.

Neptune put her finger to his lip. Just because they never had been broken didn't mean one of them couldn't break it. He was going to JINX them with talk like that.

SIGH. "Really?" She was going to hate Dell for LIFE.

"Tell me what they said? Tell me everything." In addition to snuggle starvation, Neptune had heard SO little about what had been going on with her friends. "I'd say I'm sorry, but I'm totally not. Dell should be apologizing to you, not me." But.... she was a little sorry anyway, for Finny. She nuzzled his shoulder with her nose to convey the message.

When Stella brought up the homework help idea - mutual was always the best and this was mutual! Yay. "Actaully his name is Lord Berty Borr - he's the Minister of Magic" Kyle explained with a sigh and he was yet to be seen on Campus. "Oh you bet he did - i've got a feeling there's something off about him you know - but I don't know what...since we've yet to see him at all, unless you were one of the few invited to the 'Ministry Party' last term" and she wasn't.

Yet, she was glad she got to deal with crazy muggles on the grounds...that reminded her to watch for muggles - or other off things this term again. The boat, was on the top of her list. "And of course we'll both help eachother out, we are going to make sure this year goes splendedly and Ravenclaw leaves a good mark on the school" she smiled happily. Even if she thought a good mark would be changing every banner in the great hall to blue at the end of term with them winning the Quidditch Cup. Yeah she went there she was going to win the house cup and quidditch cup this term they all were.

"I'll teach you after try outs - the practice pitch is closed for anything but try outs right now...if you want to watch try outs when they are over i'll give you a good quick lesson" she smiled happily.

Neptune rolled her eyes. "You can't remember a single thing you did this summer for my amusement? I'm going to buy your a diary." ...whenever Dell allowed her money again, that was. Neptune Bott was soooo poor. "And make you write in it."

"Well...." Finlay pondered, really not liking the idea of him having a diary. It was not very manly. Not at all. Jimmy would have a field day if he found it. "I tried out for the Montrose Magpies..." He mused with a big smile. He'd been so proud of himself on that day, like he was actually doing something good. "They should be owling me any day soon." He was really hoping that he got onto the team. He didn't really have another back up plan if he didn't get onto a team.

"I don't need a diary."

"I actually don't want to meet him." said Stella flicking her long blond hair over her shoulder. "Did he teach here before or is this his first year of teaching?" she asked. Remembering she has homework in Runes and Kyle doesn't know how to walk in heels she said proudly, "You know, if you help me in Runes I will teach all my fashion knowledge and teach you how to walk in heels." She suggested a very good offer and hopefully Kyle would agree. "And if your bored you can teach me your fashion magic," she added sweetly hoping, again, that she would say yes.

"When try-outs?" she asked a bit disappointed from the rejection she was really looking forward for it, but at least she'll teach her after the tryouts. "I want to cheer or at least watch you in tryouts," she said once again twirling the tip of her hair around her finger.

Neptune bristled. "You tried out for a professional team." SCOFF. She wiggled away from him and turned so she could put her hands on her hips and give him the trademark 'Unhappy Bott' look, her lips pressed into a hard line. "I hate Quidditch! You'll just get hurt! Why would you do that? You're a glutton for bruises, Finlay Carmichael!"

"Yeah..." Finlay watched her carefully. Oh she wasn't happy. "Tune..." He pouted, didn't she want snuggles anymore? "I love it..." He smiled at her. He loved quidditch. "It's what I've wanted to do for ages...." And they said he was really good. "I don't care if I get hurt..." It wasn't as if he had anyone who card about if he got hurt. Not really. "I might not even get on the team..."

Kyle shrugged her shoulder slightly, she didn't exactly have the answer to that question only rumors. "I think its a one time thing really - but I did hear that Borr taught at the school a few terms back when the Ministry stepped in" she explained as much as she could after all she didn't know much of Borr other thna him being not-so-nice.

"Oh brilliant - yeah the runes thing, he's a new professor but really all we have to do is write out names in the Elder Futhark rune language for homework - its kind of easy, maybe we could head to the library there musht be a book on it" she thought there should be atleast.

"Yeah I'll let you know when try outs are, they should be soon like sometime this week" she explained hoping they would be sooner than later.

"Oh of course i'll teach you the fashion-magic stuff its pretty easy stuff, just really takes practice...besides we've got till june to get everything done and then its off to NEWTs" oh boy NEWTs she'd almost forgotten. Almost.

...What? That would just be copying the little signs on to his paper right? Hugo didn't understand. This wasn't hard. He was really bad at Runes. But this wasn't hard. Was this even what he meant to do? So that was... Weird H, little bow, X, Fish, Star Wars ship, Fish, weird arrow heads, pointy stick and pointy stick with two sides. Wow. Okay. This wasn't hard.

"Great it's a one time thing, on my last year," she said feeling a bit angry. A subject which she is good at, and she has a teacher named after the word 'boring'. "I don't think he's a good teacher and because of him I'll fail my NEWTs," she added flicking her long hair over her shoulder.

"Yes it sounds easy but the lesson was really hard. And did you hear that guy's accent good think he didn't start talking with us in Runes," she said with a sarcastic tone at the end of the sentence. She loves being sarcastic, it's almost like a hobby. "So tomorrow wanna meet me in the library and we'll do it together?" she asked politely (but not too politely). "Can I watch the tryouts?" she asked beginning to fidget with her hair. Again. Stella was glad that she agreed to teach her those cool spells and she will get rewarded with Stella's magical design (which is awesome). "Newts," she moaned loudly, "I am gonna die because of those exams," she really doesn't want to study all spring for those exams.

Pulling his trunk behind him, Eino made his way to the Ravenclaw Common Room. He had an excused late arrival due to a small accident during break, from which he had needed more time to recover. All was back to normal, for now, at least. He wondered if all of the good beds had been taken by now and he would have to sleep on the one that was the furthest from the window.

Just as he was about to walk up the stairs to the boys dormitory he saw a familiar face. "What are you... Homework already?" He really hoped Hugo would remember him, it hadn't been that long after all, but Eino had heard that Imps were going around throwing Obliviax at young wizards and witches, which made them forget their memories. Most importantly, THEY ALREADY HAD HOMEWORK?! Sad face.

Scribble... Scribble... Done. Then, a voice. A familiar voice. As Hugo put his quill back in the ink bottle, he squinted his eyes. Yes, that voice seemed to come from a rather nice person. He slowly turned around. MERLIN'S BEARD. IT. WAS. EINO.

Hugo wanted to run up to Eino and hug him but honestly. How awkward would that be? Not to mention embarrasing in front of the people he... Barely knew... No. He needed a more manly way of showing he had missed Eino. Cos after all he was a bro. Or something.

"Umm yes," Hugo said looking at Eino with his trunk. "For Ancient Runes. The guy teaching us is Norwegian and I can barely understand him," he nodded as he looked at his paper. "On the subject of other teachers, we've also got a lunatic carving his name on the board with a chainsaw for Transfiguration and we've got an exploding whale for Defence Against the Dark Arts," he said, thinking about the huge guy. "All from the ministry. BUT the homework was quite easy. Even for me," he nodded. "But more importantly, where have you been?" Hugo asked. And even more importantly, where was Faustus?

Hugo seemed surprised. Was something wrong with Eino's face? Maybe he had forgotten him? Well, once Hugo seemed to have recognized him and speak to him normally, Eino realized something was wrong with his face. Maybe he was growing a horn or better yet, facial hair. Considering Eino's long comatose state, time had moved rather fast for him, so he didn't really realize how long it had been since he had last seen Hugo.

He had heard a bit about these new Professors, only through the daily prophet though and didn't know any of them personally. "He speaks Norwegian in class?" Well, good thing he arrived late. Hopefully, he was also excused from completing this homework assignment, since he hadn't been to class, it only seemed fair. But mostly he just didn't want to do it. Ancient Runes was hard. "A chainsaw?" Why didn't he just use his wand? "Do you reckon he lost his wand?" That would be the most logical reason, either that or he accidentally sat on it and broke it, or the imps took it, or maybe he forgot where he put it because he had been exposed to Obliviax! Regardless of why, Eino would have to help him find his wand. "An exploding whale?" Eino took it literally. "So how does it work if it explodes?" Nonetheless, it was interesting to have a whale as a professor. "Do we go to the lake for DADA classes then? Does the whale use a wand?" It was very fascinating, but mostly confusing. Especially the fact that they were all from the ministry. Where would they fit a whale anyway?

"Oh, you see..." Eino shook his head in attempts to clear his mind and explain his absence. "I went to Finland during the winter break, and I saw a bear playing with a rock. I thought to myself 'It's a pogrebin and I ought to save the bear!' So I took the rock from him, and then he took my arm. It only took a few hours for my arm to be retrieved, but longer for it to get reattached to my body. I don't remember most of it, quite honestly." And that was how he was convinced Imps were using Obliviax!!! "So I had to stay home for it to heal."

"Yeah same here - if there even are any NEWTs this year - he had them cancelled along with the OWLs last term" she explained with a sigh she hoped they would have newts to fall back on but even so with fashion you tended to not need to have potions, DADA, and history of magic - but still, she wanted to do all the classes no matter what. Especially Charms. She loved charms.

"And if he really is bad I'm sure I can convince some of the Gryffindors and other houses I know to forgoe the true class and start up something like they had in the early 1990's...the Dumbledore's Army thing? But I don't know if we'd call it Tate's Army." She offered with a laugh.

"Tomorrow sounds great - and yeah of course you can" Kyle smiled happily. "We'll be fine - i mean, maybe they will up Ravenclaw's stakes at Finals and the whole house cup...i'm planning on not losing any house points this term and well, winning the house cup and the quidditch cup would be great" she smirked. Yes, she was a smirker when it was important stuff. And the house cup was important they hadn't won in far too long.

"I'm not worrying so much about him, even though I think he is awful teacher, because as long as we succeed in the NEWTs we'll succeed in life," she said proudly. She tried to make seem like she doesn't care but she is worrying so badly about those exams. "I don't think he can do a club like Dumbledore's Army the teachers won't allow it," she added looking at her nails. "And the name Tate's Army isn't as catchy as Dumbledore's Army," she added flicking her hair over her shoulder.

"So tomorrow afternoon in the library?" she asked, making sure it's official. "Actually winning the house cup is not so important for me, I prefer succeeding in my studies, but don't get me wrong it's still important winning all the cups," she added with a friendly smile. "So just tell me when your tryouts are and maybe I'll cheer for you," she said standing up and left the room.
