"Well Im kinda from a wizarding family, My dad is a half blood and my mom is a muggleborn." said Nessie taking out one earphone so she could hear better. Emmy seemed really friendly but she also seemed quite shy. "Ern.. so how about you?"

"Mmhmm. Okay then." See this face, Mikey? This is the 'I don't believe a word you're saying' face. There were plenty of other first-years running around without babysitters --her, for one-- and to say that was why he was here just sounded like five tonnes of excuse.

Caramel got up out of Connor's pocket. She was tired of the big cats ignoring her. She marched up to walnut and batted his face with her paws. She was ready to stand up for herself and knock this king off his pedestal.

Connor smiled and said. "I don't mind you asking, as I said I was born here and my mum moved us back here. I don't know the whole story but it had something to do with mum's work transfer. I wanted to come here though." He smiled. He stood and grabbed his guitar and began tuning it. "I would like ta hear you sing."

Having stepped onto the train, Vashti had pretty much sealed her fate: There was pretty much no way to avoid those OWLs now. The idea of actually taking the OWLs hadn't really hit her until this moment, and now that it had, she was trying not to freak out. She had been sort of preparing for them for the past few years, but now she really had to buckle down and study literally everything if she had even the slightest hope of passing them all.

Merlin, this going to be a long, long year...

But let's not think about that now. Right now, she really just needed to find a compartment to sit in.

She hadn't found any at the front of the train, so she moved on to the middle, and soon she found a somewhat empty compartment; there was a girl in there, but she appeared to be alone. Not wanting to continue down the train and wind up not finding any empty compartments down there, Vashti opened this door a little and peeked in.

"Hey," she said with a small, friendly smile. "D'you mind if I sit here? Everywhere else is full."

"Very muggle family. Except for my brother, well my younger brother,I mean. I think he might be magic, too." Emmy replied. Her stomach growled quietly. She had been so caught up in the excitment that she had forgotten to eat. "I think I'll go catch up with the trolley. Be right back!" She stood up and walked out of the compartment.

Jacob smiled, Well at least there was somebody she knew, right? "Really? I still haven't seen one familiar face yet." He joked, and looked at the bag strap. that hung over his shoulder.

"AGH! You caught me Skippy!" he laughed, and added. "I just want to keep this safe, and under lock and key until I know who I can trust with the information inside." Of courses he could trust Mina... but still, someone else could be around. The only two safes houses were the common room, and the Locker room, and of course he'd have to have the team perform the strategies, but at that point he wouldn't be explaining any of it, and people would have a tough time catching every part of the play.

Jacob moved uncomfortable as small students squeezed past them... Jacob and Mina weren't in their way, they could stop where ever they wished, they were near the top of the schools hierarchy, only under the seventh years and teachers... even some of the Prefects couldn't boss them around now.

Then a thought occurred to him. "Why did you leave Hogwarts? I thought is was your goal to be a prefect, wasn't it?" Jacob asked, of course, it was the goal of many students, but Mina could have had that chance.

"Ok sure see you later! " said Nessie smilling

Emmy came back into the room, her hands carrying a few chocolate frogs. " I invited one other person to join us. Do you think we have room??"

Serena peered over Emerald's shoulders, harder than it seemed, being a short person. "Hi!" she said to the other girls in the compartment.

Emmy stepped aside to let Serena in. She sat down in her spot and motioned for Serena to sit beside her. "This is Nessie, Rachel, Viola,.... Danielle, and Travis?.... No, er, Tyler, I think." Em had always been good with names, but now and then she struggled a bit. "Are you excited?" she asked.

"Yeah sure" said Nessie hoping they did. Otherwise they would make space, even if it meant making Ness a bit claustrophobic. She was being friendly and thats what mattered. "Hey Im Renesmee but you can call me Ness or Nessie for short" said Nessie trying to smile again but her mind was on her muggle best friend which made her kinda sad. Nessie put her earphones back on and put on her favourite song (Airoplanes) which wasn't exactly the right song for her mood. A tear slid down her cheek but she wiped it off before any one could see. Then she changed the song.

Serena smiled "I've been excited since I was 10. My sisters been winding me up about it since she started"

She looked through the compartment door all the students with their trunks and pets were passing by, but didn't saw any familiar face. Georgiana turned her head to the window looking outside and waiting to arrive at Hogwarts. She hoped this term to be better than the last one, not that last term was bad or anything but she had big expectations for this term. She fixed her long, wavy hair and curled the ends around her finger.

Someone was opening the compartment door and saw a girl peeking from outside "Hey there" she waved "Not at all, come on in" she grinned. "I'm Georgiana and you?" she asked to the girl.

" So, how many siblings do you have? I think you've mentioned a brother and a sister." Emmy asked with a smile, remembering how much Serena's description of her brother reminded Em of Ethan.

Serena sighed "I've got a younger brother called Alistair, he's 11. I've also got 2 older sisters, Joanna, she's 15 and Laura who's 19. She works in the ministry somewhere."

"I'm sure you'll get to know people easily," Isobel assured her. "The people I know are really nice. I'll introduce you to my friends. No, I'm not really hungry," Isobel said to her next question. "I ate a big breakfast." Her mom had made waffled and bacon; yummy!

Isobel laughed. "We weren't speaking of Violet," she pointed out. "But, yeah, she's good. She came to stay with me for a while this summer. Max is good too; he was with his family, I wrote to him. And apparently Eddie is at soccer camp." She laughed; and didn't care if Quinn knew why it was funny or not. If she knew Eddie, she would know he was horrible at soccer. Well, when she had known him he was. "How is Elouise? And Leon?" She hadn't been close to Quinn's friends; but she knew them.

Frown.

FRROOOWWNNN.

Was she calling him a LIAR? He was pretty sure she WAS. That was NOT allowed. He did NOT lie. And if that's what she thought, then she could go get in someone else's way.

"It's TRUE." And his look said he didn't CARE if she believed him or not.

Jaymie laughed and poked Nika. Frosting face? "Hello," Jaymie said to the person who said hi to her. "And you are?" She hadn't told Jaymie her name. "This summer Nika was visting my sister, and I got frosting on my nose, so we put it on our face like warpaint." That didn't really make sense, even to her. But oh well.

Jade was staring out the window, when she was interrupted by her new kitten. "Oh, I suppose you can come out now." She said, turning to look at him. She unlatched the cage as the cat pushed the door open and fell to the floor. "Silly thing," she picked him up, set him in her lap and continued to look out the window.

All that indignation, frowning, and bluster... Hateya met it with a grin. A smug little 'I got you' grin. So there, Mihkel Garrison.

"So why's your brother want to come to Hogwarts? Since you don't." Conversation? Moving right along. She wanted to see what other buttons this boy had.

"The ministry?" Emmy felt silly asking about something that seemed to be an ordinary wizarding place, but she'd never know if she didn't ask. " What's the ministry?"

"Oh yeah, forgot you were Muggle-Born, erm, the ministry's like the government. Sort of in charge of things." Serena answered. It would be freaky if you found all this out suddenly...

lily walked down the train until she got to the middle carts, she hung around for her friend chloe, but she didn't turn up so she found an empty compartment and began to read "the quibbler" many of the students passing by laughed at her
'great another term at hogwarts here i come' she thought.

What was WITH this child. And that grin.

He didn't like it.

Not ONE bit.

"He's a first year." That SHOULD be self explanatory, but given the little thing seemed to have a habit of taking things the obviously WRONG way, he figured some clarification couldn't hurt. "He didn't want to be home schooled." For whatever unfathomable reason.

"Nice to meet you Quinn," Luke said, flashing her a charming smile. "I'm Luke O'Connor. I'm a fourth year. I transferred from an American Wizarding School." He looked between Isobel and Quinn. "So, you two know each other?" Obviously.
