"Hey, you know you are like the first person on this train that I know." she smiled. It was the truth too. Hundreds of students and his was the first familiar one all day. That was just for her. She had expected to at least recognize a few faces, but nope. Just Jacob, for now.
Blinking, she tilted her head again and squinted her eyes slightly. Yeah, she still saw a bag. "My eyes are fine. I notice a bag, but if you want to 'pretend' it's not there, okay." Perhaps Ellie was right after all, she thought. Yes, she needed to keep her eyes open.
Jacob smiled, Well at least there was somebody she knew, right?
"Really? I still haven't seen one familiar face yet." He joked, and looked at the bag strap. that hung over his shoulder.
"
AGH! You caught me Skippy!" he laughed, and added.
"I just want to keep this safe, and under lock and key until I know who I can trust with the information inside." Of courses he could trust Mina... but still, someone else could be around. The only two safes houses were the common room, and the Locker room, and of course he'd have to have the team perform the strategies, but at that point he wouldn't be explaining any of it, and people would have a tough time catching every part of the play.
Jacob moved uncomfortable as small students squeezed past them... Jacob and Mina weren't in their way, they could stop where ever they wished, they were near the top of the schools hierarchy, only under the seventh years and teachers... even some of the Prefects couldn't boss them around now.
Then a thought occurred to him.
"Why did you leave Hogwarts? I thought is was your goal to be a prefect, wasn't it?" Jacob asked, of course, it was the goal of many students, but Mina could have had that chance.
