Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Flibbertigibbet!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes!
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home! There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby! | |

Riley had been tired of class work already. School hadn't even been going on for that long and he was already annoyed by all the idiots in the classes he has attended. He just couldn't wait to just sit down for a while and do absolutely NOTHING for an hour at the least.

He jammed his hands to his temples hoping this person was not going to make his headache any worse and when he turned to see who it was his face changed 100% from frown to smile. "Lexi! Man I hate that I have missed you this past week or so. How does that even happen? We live in the same Tower." he chuckled and then raised a arm gesturing to the area she just soared through. "And umm I thought that Gryffindor's were supposed to be like Lions and Ravenclaws were the bird smarty-pants." he stuck his tongue out at her mischeviously.

She wasn't kidding.
"Besides, I want to go there anyway to look up the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy. Don't you think it's slightly strange that some of the teachers are very..." what was the word? "pro-muggle? It's not a bad thing!" she added quickly "It's just... this statute keeps popping up! It was in the quibbler I bought."
She reached into her bag, and pulled out the quibbler she had bought in diagon alley. "It's just... strange"
She hoped Nika was following her. And she hoped she hadn't hurt her feelings with the term 'pro-muggle'. But there was no other word for it.

Nika agreed it was a bit strange that the teachers were talking so much about err muggles. They were here for magic right? Nika wasn't at all hurt for Emily's choice of words. What Emily said sounded a little anti-muggle, but she knew that Emily had the right intentions. Nevertheless Nika followed Emily to the library.

Going to Beauxbatons... or getting a tutor," she explained with a small shrug. Clearly it was no big deal. Someone new would come along with more drama than her... although they probably wouldn't be NEARLY as good looking as she. Heheh.
OOOOOH! He flinched. Oh my, my, my. Giving a nod she looked at him with great mock concern and said, " Oh dear! A bruise on your ribs... how terrible!" Then without warning she pounced and began to tickle him mercilessly. Giggles and snorts both escaped her as she assaulted him.

Elyon flew into the common room, searching for Christopher and the letter Mum sent. She didn't care how many people were in the room, she had to know what her mother was going to say/write to her, even if it meant her heart breaking even more. "Christopher! Where are you?! I have to see that letter!" She stumbled around the room, blinking back tears.

Adam was always taken by surprise by Jackie's fast speech and rambling manner, but after a while, after you first got over it, it was refreshing in a way. She wasn't doing it to annoy people, but rather because she got overexcited about anything.
" Is it Tiger Beat? I love Tiger Beat- got a subscription on it, back home."Adam said with a wink. Then he saw that Jackie made him a spot so he wasted no time in sitting down." I'm alright I guess."He said a bit quietly.
Him and Jackie weren't the best of friends, and they didn't really spend much time, so he had been debating on whether to tell her the terrible news or not.

Christopher tried to grab the letter out of her hands, but it was too late. She'd already reached the stairs of the girls' dorm and was sitting down, and if he tried to go up them to her, he'd slide right back down. He felt his heart ache when he saw how hard she was crying. He hated seeing her upset, and it was a very rare occasion. Only something horrible could make her cry. He thought that this would definately count as horrible.
Christopher frowned as she shakily walked towards him. "El.... we were going to tell you this summer..... we thought there would be more time.... El, please don't be upset. We didn't want you to be hurt. Dad was diagnosed in June, right after you got your letter delivered. That's why I never let you tell him about what Mum does. I don't want them to spend his last years unhappy." He pulled her into a hug, letting her get out all of her tears. | |
