Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Flibbertigibbet!" Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes! That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left. For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home! There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby! |
OH! The common room at long last! Ugh that was the longest feast in the history of feasts. Lexi was grumpy all of a sudden and that was not cool. Crawling through the portrait hole she made her way straight to the sofa nearest the fireplace and threw herself down face first and MEHed into the cushions. Why had she felt so tense all day? Oh yeah... that's right. Her former friend had made her feel like she was invisible and she noticed he was talking to some of the people she was less than friendly with. Sighs. Perhaps he was making plans to make her more miserable than she was already. Sounded about right. Where were all of her housemates? MEH MEH MEH. She was going to lie here until someone came to keep her company. Meh again. |
Flibbertigibbet. Such a stupid password. Legend yawned as he entered the Common Room. The food had made him sleepy. Without much thought he plopped into one the the comfy armchairs (the first years could get the bad ones! they were younger). "Hey guys." He muttered to whoever was already in the almost empty room. Legends gaze landed toward the fire. Tomorrow classes started. Ew. |
"HOME SWEET HOME!!!" Rafe called out as he entered the common room. Oh it was just as amazing as he remembered two years ago. "Hey Lexi!" He said with a smile and a plot on a giant cushioned chair. "It's good to be back! It even smells wonderful!" He took in a deep breath as he put his two hands behind his head and leaned back comfortably and propped his feet up on the chair's arm. "Oh the plans and mischief I have in store!" he said with a laugh. Hmm...where was everyone. Maybe there would be a few little firsties he could prey on. |

"What do you guys say about some s'mores?" she asked as she remembered that she actually had the fixings in her trunk. She planned ahead, yo. |
Anyone :) Surprisngly, that had been one of his better feasts. Better than getting in trouble by the Headmaster right off the bat, and better than last year which he just didn't want to think about. The smile that was already present on his lips only widened as he entered the common room, hearing someone's rather enthusiastic shout for joy at being back. With a wide grin he nodded to those in the common room before his eyes stopped directly on a rather distraught looking girl on the couches. Well there was only one way to fix that. With silent feet he had gained over the summer, and more balance than he was used to, Sabel snuck over to the couch before jumping onto the small crack of space left between Lexi and it's edge. "Bonzai!" And of course, he threw one arm out to give her a rather interesting hug as his face hit the pillows. |
Valeire made her way into the Gryffindor Common Room. Whoa! She gasped as she looked around. Oh there were older students here. Maybe if she walked slowly they wouldn't notice her. Yeah that was a good plan. Val carefully made her way towards the stairs. She was doing fine until she tripped. Val burst out laughing, still sitting on the floor. Oh gosh! The bigger kids would look at her! Epp! Oh no oh no! |

Hugging him back she smiled brigthly. "Hey good looking! How was your holiday?" she said cheerily. She could say that to him couldn't she? He was good looking after all. |

"S'mores? I can fit in some more food." After all he had only eaten some chicken and macaroni. Lots and lots of macaroni. Quote:

He'd leave her. "You alright there?" |
Edited: sorry missed Legend XD Quote:
With a grin, he turned his eyes back to Lexi as best as he could, giving a small shrug of the shoulders. "Busy." If he went into thinking too much about it, the bubbly happy he had would be popped and he didn't quite want to go there yet. Focus on the good then he supposed. "A lot of hiking and camping. Yourself?" Quote:

Valerie looked up at the two that had spoken to her. She whiped away the tears that had formed in her eyes and smiled. "I'm fine." She giggled. Still whipping her tears. Oh gosh. Val jumped when someone else spoke to her. She frowned at what he said. Was he joking? She blinked then shrugged. "Nothing really. Just getting lost and tripping over my own feet so pretty much the usual." She smiled. She tugged at her black hair, trying to keep it out of her face. |

"Well... that sounds about like my own summer, really. I vow to let it ALL go this term and be happy," she told him matter of factly. No more thoughts of idiot boys that hurt her feelings Quote:
"Never claimed to be anything BUT strange, my friend. And my summer was... my summer. I stayed in London most of the time." Not going to overshare Quote:

Having hung back a little when they were finally dismissed from the feast, it took Simon a little longer to get the seven floors to the familiar landscape of the Gryffindor common room. But ahh...he was finally there and it was certainly inviting after a long day of traveling and other things. The Sixth year was almost tempted to head right up to the quarters given his year up the stairs but then he realised he'd miss all the fun that usually surrounded the first night back so he meerly hung back in the room, his gaze casually passing over the room. |

"Oh you know just had the Triwizard Tournament and no Quidditch and some Durmstrang and Beauxbatons people came here." And he had fooled a 17 year old girl that he was 17 when he was only 15. For a bit at least. Good times. "It was so epic. You should have been here. Why were you gone?" Poor Rafe. He missed a once in a life time thing. Quote:

Brilliant people being mental? That made sense. "That is what the said about Albus Dumbledore after all." The old bloke, was a legend, hehe like him. Ah the puns! Legend frowned as he inched forward from his chair. "I don't like the Ministry dude. He seems like he's going to cause more trouble then actually be security. I'm gonna crack him." This guy had to be figured out. "I wish I could do that. Girls are so annoying, they all mess with your head!- er not you but like...all other girls." Stupid girls minus Lexi! Legend laid back until everyone had gotten their s'more stuff. He could wait. |
SPOILER!!: Valerie & Lexi Chuckling a little, Sabel retrieved one of his hands from the Lexi-hug and waved the new girl over. "I remember what that was like. My first time here I couldn't go down a corridor without turning the wrong way or catching that one brick that always seems to stick up just for the purpose of stubbing your toe on." He stopped his waving to point at the girl currently moving from her position on top of him. "Ask this one. She'll be able to tell you." His grin only widened as he motioned her over again. "Come join us." He hadn't missed the cue of s'more's that Lexi had announced and was starting to summon. Best first evening back ever. His eyes flicked back to Lexi as she started going on about something about his looks. He had to blink a few times at her before gently and playfully prodding her in the side. "Yeah okay." Then he was helping her sit up with that hand. Not that he was going to follow her. Nope. He was going to lie where he was and watch the fire. He did curl up his legs though so that there would be more room on the couch, and propped his head in his hand so viewing the world wouldn't be so awkward. "Sounds like a nice summer. They never seem long enough though." With a shake of his head, he glanced up at his friend, frowning a little bit at her mention of Ikenna. "That man, Ministry or not, should show a bit more respect to our professors. There were plenty of seats, he didn't have to take Vindictus's or taunt him about it. As far as I'm concerned, Ikenna was the childish one, not Vindictus." And there was his monologue for the night. Done. Quote:

Another laugh left him at his defense of the 'mental' statement, and he couldn't help but shake his head again. "This is very true. Name's Sabel Dakest." A tilt of his head had him considering the boy. "I believe I heard your name being hollered at the feast by a certain McKensie character." |
for anyone :D Alice walked into the common room feeling glad to be back in the familiarity of her favorite place at Hogwarts. She smiled at Lexi who had beat her back here from dinner before taking a seat at one of the open couches. |

Noticing a girl he had rudely introduced himself to , he made his way over and sat next to her. "Adam...I said hi to you with my mouth full, and that was a bit disgusting of me..."He told her apologetically |
Lea walked through the porthole and saw the huge common room. "Wow" she said to no one but herself. She started to walk around checking out things as she went. "Not too bad for decorating" she thought while finding herself a nice arm chair to sit down. She was full of food and could fall asleep at any moment. |
Heather walked into the Gryffindor common room she walked backwards taking it all in. "Oh wow." She said out loud. She looked around the room and saw Valerie and.... ugh, Adam the guy had made Katie cry on the train. She heard someone say hi to a boy named Legend and she immediately wanted to meet him. He had such a cool name. He seemed almost like he didn't like the first years that much though. Anyway if she went up to him he'd think she was insane. You can't just start talking to a guy because you thought he had a cool name, what are you two? Heather thought to herself. She found a comfy armchair and sat down figuring someone might eventually come up to her. |

COMMON ROOM. COMMON ROOM. Was the only thing running through his mind as he followed the large crowd of Gryffindors up towards it. He stood at the porthole, over joyed to be back and let practically all of the girls go ahead before him. With a grin, he listened to the various 'wows' of the new students. Truthfully, he never had that sort of reaction to it before. But hey, he's been here for.. three years now? This being his third of course. He strode over to his favorite chair, and sat down in it sideways, feet propped up on the arm of it. Merlin, another year without Opal. How would he SURVIVE? |
Elyon skipped into the Gryffindor common room, taking in all of the scarlet and gold decorations. She sat down on a big squishy couch near the fireplace and curled her feet up, waiting to see all of her friends. She couldn't believe she was finally here! Finally.... home! She couldn't supress a smile as she thought about how her cat Chunk, and all of her other things were just upstairs, to the right. She sighed happily, stuffed by the feast. |
