Nika was happy that she had the chance to meet another fellow Gryffindor! "It's nice to meet you too!" Nika had just noticed that she hadn't asked the girl for her name. "Er, I'm sorry, but I think I must've forgotten to ask you what your name was." She said feeling slightly embarrassed you can't really become friends with someone without knowing their name, Nika!!!. "Yeah, Rex is kinda awesome" She said looking in his direction smiling. "He was one of the first people I met here. And he was really friendly. I was really nervous at first, but after talking to him I became more relaxed." Nika was happy that she had friends like Rex, it made school more interesting. "Well I am from London, what about you?

"Sophie? I don't know, I only just arrived, I had to miss the Train and the feast." Patroclus explained, Father's award ceremony was not to be missed. "It sounds like you had a great summer, Rex" the fifth year nodded as all of Rex's destinations were listed.

"Well I had better go put my things in the fifth year dormitory, nice to see you again" Patroclus smiled as he collected his things once again and trapes across the room to the stair well.

" Good night my friend" Rex told Witsy. " Talk to you tomorrow" Rex said to Witsy.

" You and I both will look for the same oppurtunities in point earnings" Rex told Nika. "When, I get bored, I guess I just go down to the lake" Rex said to Nika. " Of course, there is this other thing. Rex tickled Nika.

" You missed the train?" Rex asked Patty." Oh, your father's award ceremony is a good reason to miss the train" rex said to Patty. "Er both had great summers" Rex told Patty. " Good night " Rex waved to Patty.

The first day of lessons could not have gone more swimmingly, Patroclus thought as he climbed through the portrait hole, and headed to a chair that was positioned beneath one of the tower windows.

Dropping down into the chair, the young man let his book bag fall at his feet and reaching pushed open the window. The air that swept in still had warm breath of Summer on it, and could not have been more pleasing, and soothing to the prefects brain, runes had been it's usual mindbending self. Closing his eyes he thought back to the day that was.

"Oh," she laughed, "It's Wisteria Hartly, everyone calls me Witsy, though. No worries," she smiled. She continued to listen to Nika, "Oh that's funny, he is really good person to talk to." Witsy was thinking about the first time she met Rex and he was really funny with Jacqueline. She heard the work London, "Oh, you're from London too? Same hear. I actually moved here from Dublin about three years ago. So..." she paused for a second, "What are your goals for your first year here?" She was actually interested to see what she had to say. "This year, mine's to make the Quiditch team," she said with a smile, "I really hope to make the team."

Witsy waved her hand back, she felt like she was a zombie she more mumbled than actually replied, yet hoped he heard, "goodnight."

"Yeah, my sister graduated two years ago. She told me everything about Hogwarts! She said most of the teachers are really nice as long as you don't get on the wrong side of them!" she laughed
"Well, I really like the sound of charms. My mam and sister were really talented at that, so I hope I will be too! I don't like the sound of History of magic though. I'm not good at history. What subjects do you like the sound of?"

Heather laid down on the sofa. She was very tired and somewhat annoyed by her long day. She let a sigh escape her lips as she sat back up and took out a book.

Selina walked into the Common Room exhausted from the first day of classes. Potions would be difficult she could already tell. Plopping down on the couch she saw Adam talking to another boy who looked about her age. He seemed conflicted at something.

She smiled at him and waved. While he was talking she mouthed to him When your done talking, you want to talk? She felt terrible seeing her fellow ginger in a state of distress.

"No no no no wait--!" but the lioness wasn't listening to him, and just a moment later, she had found and pulled out the bag of marshmallows he had tried to hide earlier, in vain.

Braeden groaned inwardly; he was doomed. She'd found the evidence. However... who said he couldn't just... continue lying? It's not like the bag of marshmallows had his name on it or anything, so... how could she prove it was his? Mwaha. Lying always worked.

And so, pretending to be completely surprised, Braeden raised his dark eyebrows. "Wow, I had no idea that was there; how'd you find it?" he asked, faking surprise and admiration.

But then, all of a sudden, the lioness did a 180.
She proceeded to sit down beside him (to which Braeden reacted by moving his legs off the couch and scooting as far to the left as possible, so far that he was almost sitting on the armrest rather than the couch). He watched her cautiously, as if she was a wild animal that had escaped its cage, and listened as she suddenly, sounding oh-so-very nice and sweet and innocent, explained that she just wanted him to share his marshmallows with her.

Braeden's eyebrows raised in honest surprise this time. Wow... well... if that was really the case...
Letting out a soft, relieved (but still very wary) chuckle, Braeden moved back to his original spot, a little closer to the girl. "Well... if what you wanted was marshmallows, all you had to do was ask," he said, giving her one of his friendly, goofy smiles that made him look at least five years younger. "I can conjure 'em up in different shapes and flavours too, if you're interested," he added proudly.

" See you at class" Rex told Witsy. " Come around the lake, so we can hang out there" Rex said to Witsy. "Sound like a plan?" Rex asked Witsy.

" What book are your reading?" Rex asked the girl. " I have seen you around and you probably jave seen me around HogWarts, too" Rex said to her. " I am Rex Trifwell" he introduced himself to her.

Witsy looked back and smiled, "Sounds like a plan, thanks." She proceeded to her room to check on her cat. I don't remember the last time I fed her...that's bad. she thought.

Nika smiled, "Oh, I went out to the lake and it was beautiful!" Nika loved the lake it was so nice and peaceful! "What would-" Nika didn't have a chance to finish her sentence because no sooner than she had started to speak Rex pulled her over and started tickling her. Nika couldn't stop laughing, she was very ticklish. She gasped for breath.


"Wow, that is a really neat name! My name is a bit boring." Nika smiled hearing that she too, lives in London. Nika thought about the question for a bit, what are my goals for my first year.... "Well defiantly want to do well in my classes! And I think another goal that I want to work on is to be as involved with things as I can be." Nika added," I have never really played Qudditch, but it sounds like a lot of fun." Nika smiled she genuinely hoped that Witsy would make the team. "Well if you have your mind set on making the team I'm sure you will! I hope that you make it!"

"Well like I said, I don't really know much about the classes, but I think from what I have heard about them so far that charms sounds very interesting." Nika giggled, "I don't think I would like a History of magic either. Sounds a bit dull. Nika was never very good at history and memorizing dates and such. "So what are you looking forward to the most?" Nika questioned. She was very curious in what Emily had to say.

"I don't think your name's boring at all," she said defensively, but not attacking her of cf course, "I have never heard of anyone named Nika before, and besides I love it!" smiling back at her. Witsy liked that she was supportive, it eased her anxiety a little. Just being with her eased her nerves. "Thank you, I hope I do make it, too," she said excitedly clapping her hands in her lap, "If you could play what position would you want?" She was eager to hear what she thought.

Nika was glad to be friends with such a nice girl. She really liked Witsy's company. "Well I think that keeper sounds like a fun position! I played football and I usually played the goalie and from what I have heard keeper and goalie sound very similar!" Nika didn't mention that she was the best goalie on her team because she wasn't one to brag. Quidditch did sound very interesting to her, but she was afraid that if she tried out this year she might not be able to focus on her classes. "I think I might tryout for the team next term if I can keep up with everything. What position are you going to try out for?"

" See you at the lake" Rex smiled.

" I knew you would the lake" Rex told Nika. " I am sorry about the tickling" Rex said to Nika. Rex syopped the tickling. "So how do you like all the classes at this fast pace?" Rex asked Nika.

"I like your name." She said and then looked down at her book. "It's a muggle book, called Anne Frank's Diary. It's very old, but fascinating. A bit sad too. I'm Heather Miller. Nice to meet you." She said holding out her hand for him to shake.

Listening to Nika, she had the hint that she may be muggle, or part muggle. "I think keeper is a excellent position." She paused for a second to think. "You like football? Goalie happens to be my favorite position, then again, I didn't like to run all that much with asthma and all. If you don't mind my asking, are you part muggle?" Witsy shook her head and quickly stated, "...not to be rude or anything, but I don't find it common that people play muggle sports, you know?"

Witsy nodded in understanding her schedule verses playing quidditch at the same time, "This is my first year trying out for the team. I'm worried especially if I make it, I hoping to make seeker or chaser, but how I'm gonna coordinate homework, not to mention that my potions professor I think is gonna make this term a bit difficult for me." She took a breath and wondered if she was talking too much, "I think you should definitely try out next semester, I think you'll be brilliant!"

"Haha, it's alright it was fun? The classes are interesting, but the potions professor scares me." Nika shivered just thinking about her.

Nika thought about the question... What's a muggle again. Nika had a hard time remembering what the word meant."umm sorry for asking such a stupid question, but what's a muggle? I remember somebody telling me, but for some reason I don't recall what it means!" Nika felt a bit embarrassed all of this wizard lingo confused her. "Yeah, the potions professor scares me. A lot."

Adam saw that Septimus was beginning to let him go his own way, so slowly he crept out of that seat and over to Selina.
It had been a whirlwind of a day, with Septimus first starting off as a unwanted guest then to Sep believing they were brothers, Adam then thought after a while, he might have been adopted.
"Crazy day? How are your classes going?"

The way Adam sunk his body into the couch beside her Selina knew something was wrong. All of his mannerisms screamed it, of course maybe she just understood Adam (it was the ginger connection). Looking over at the boy that was talking to him earlier she smiled at Adam.

"Anything to do with him?"

In response to the classes question she replied, "Good, I like them all a lot, except Potions... she scares me."

"Yeah. He says because we look a bit alike and my cousin has a name similar to his last name Galen and Galeian...Septimus says we could be long lost brothers- but I just don't believe him. But I do look a bit more like his mom, and nothing at all to my mom...So I'm starting to believe I'm adopted.

Dragon Lady?"Adam asked in a knowing voice."I like Ancient Runes so far the best...And Divination is starting up soon- it's all about dreams."

"Well I have ginger hair. Does that mean that I am your long lost sister?" Selina asked a smiled tugging at her lips, "In all seriousness, would it be that bad if he was? It doesn't mean that your mother would stop being your mother. It just means you would get another one as well. Adam the heart always has room for more love. Just because their could be someone else does not mean you still won't have the other."

"And yes... she frightens me... a lot. Elektra loves her though. But she's great in Potions so I'm not surprised. And I love dreams, so I'm excited about that."

Adam was a bit sidetracked by Selina's commentS. She had said they could be siblings because she had red hair also. Then she mentioned the fact that there was always more space to include someone into your heart and that made sense. Liking being married and having children and what not.

Smiling and nodding he said,"I never thought of it like that. But this Septimus looks almost to me...And he's just determined for me to realize we are long lost brothers. And you are a bit right with that Heart comment."

"I love dreams- I have a dream diary I always right them down when I wake up.In a weird way, we are twins with what we like and don't like."

Redheads had that connection.

"I had noticed the similarity between the pair of you. So it may be possible or it could just mean that it is a coincidence. The human race shares 99.9% of the same genetic code. In that small .1% is where all of our differences come about. You can never really know until his mother and yours gets back to you. I would not spend your time stressing over it." Selina said smiling at her friend who was obviously distressed and conflicted.

When he brought up dreams she said, "Me too, except my dream diary is more like an catalogue. I write down the dream and take out this book that breaks them down and I write down the meaning of them. So I guess it kind of sucks the life out of the dream, huh? And we are twins in a weird way."

Smirking she asked in a proper tone, "Adam would you care to be my imaginary older brother? You would receive all of the rights said older brother has, such as, embarrassing said sister in public, interrogating said sister's boyfriend, and mooching off of said sisters food and personal belongings. All of this can be yours." Selina laughed.

She was taken by surprised when she heard Nika didn't know what muggles were, "Muggles? They are non magic people. I'm half muggle half witch." Witsy put her hand on hers, "It's really okay. Some of the most brilliant wizards could answer anything and not know the simplest of things and likewise." She gave her a reassuring smile.

"Are you taking potions this semester?" Witsy was thinking about the homework she would be assigning, "I'm curious to see what the rest of the semester has in-store. I'm looking forward to the class but the I don't know if I can deal with her, you know."
