Elyon couldn't help but dance some more. Her mother really did care!!! "No, look! There's his name and mine!" She jumped up and down pointing to Mr. Christopher and Miss. Elyon James, written in a fancy, loopy signature she recognized as her dad's. She tossed the letter back to her brother. "Is it alright if we read it later? I'm just dying to go make cookies! I haven't made cookies in quite some time!" She hoped he would understand, he usually did. He was always looking out for her, and she was very thankful for him. She shot a wide smile at Selina, just too excited that she'd been invited somewhere. Today had been going so perfect!

Selina hated this whole situation. She was covering for someone and a situation she was not even aware of. But Elyie was one of her best friends and whatever was in that letter would upset her. So whatever she could do to delay the contents of the letter were for the best... she hoped.

Gesturing toward the portrait hole she said, "Lead the way, Ms. James."

Elyon giggled and curtsied. "Why thank you, Ms. Skylar!" She skippd through the portrait hole, waving to Chris one last time before disappearing through. She stepped out and waited for Selina before making her way down to the kitchens.

Elyon smiled and a wave of relief crashed over her. He wasn't upset, and that was all that really mattered. "I broke my leg when I was younger. I thought it would be really cool to be on crutches, but it drove me crazy that I couldn't dance or skip around." She laughed, thinking back on the time she had tried to skip on her crutches. It ended with her on the floor, wishing she hadn't done that. "I'm great! It's actually been a great day! How're you? Besides the broken leg and all."

Kurumi smiled as Nika talked about Hogwarts. She tilted her head slightly in interest when she mentioned that the people here were much kinder than the people at her old school. This seemed to be the case with most of the people she met at Hogwarts, and it was certainly true in her case. "I like that I can be free," she said in a bit of a dreamy daze. "Oh, sorry," she whispered. "I-I-I mean that I really enjoy learning about magic and...learning about myself." She frowned for a moment. "I grew up in a non-magical environment, but I am not a muggleborn, I'm half. Just, everything was kept a secret, so I didn't know who I really was until I came to Hogarts," she paused for a moment as her cheeks flushed. "Hogwarts is everything to me."

Then, Kurumi's jaw dropped when she saw Adam waddle into the room. "ADAM!" she squeaked jumping up from her seat and causing Walnut's fur to stand on end from the shock. "What happened to you?!" Before he even had a chance to really look around the common room, Kurumi picked up the basket of cookies and handed him one of the witch hat shapped ones.

Kurumi was trying her best to just forget what Adam had told her the other day in the broom cupboard. Though it pained her every time she saw him for she knew that image would soon fade away, Kurumi needed to not put more pressure on him than he was already feeling.

"Here, come sit on the sofa and use this pillow to prop your leg up. Try to relax. You are entering a road of recovery from a severe shock to the body," she instructed popping the cookie into his mouth and leading him over to the sofa. "Have you drank any water today? Broken bones mean that you should hydrate constantly, beyond what is comfortable. You will heal much faster if you have been hydrated properly." She adjusted some pillows to that Adam could sit in a more comfortable position. "I can make you a list of foods that will help you get better faster! Oh! Or I can make you some cookies and include some of those. Oh, I shouldn't have given you that cookie," she said frowning at the witch's hat still hanging in his mouth. "Pumpkin is one of the foods to eat to promote the healing of broken bones..."

Was she going a bit overboard? Perhaps she was, but she was just showing how much she cared about him.

"I'm not a baby!"He snapped at her, as he was half choked by the cookie in his mouth, though he gladly took it.
"No I haven't. "He said. Just to make her happy he filled his canister with water with the Aguementi charm."But there- rehydrated for the night in good timing."Adam said showing his metal can. He then had his leg propped up higher on pillows,"It's not that bad really. All I did was trip over Elyon's foot-no big deal.
I don't mind the cookie...But can you just put the food list off to the side.I tripped when I had wanted to eat..."He said, it was a horrible memory, he didn't have dinner that one night.

"Wow, that's really interesting!" Nika thought about having everything be a secret. "Yeah, I think that even though I have only been here for a little bit that I am starting to discover my true self too." Nika wasn't really sure of who she was and where she wanted to be until Hogwarts. She has made many good friends who are helping to shape her. "I love it here!" Nika truly did. Everything was well, for lack of better words, magical.

Nika turned around when she heard Kurumi squeal. She saw Adam limping over. Although Nika had only really talked to him once she felt like he was a friend of hers. "Hey Adam." Nika said slowly "What happened?," Nika felt sad that Adam had broken bones. "Do you need anything? I can get you anything if you need it?" She offered

"Hi Nika."Adam said serenley to her.She seemed worried over his leg, but it was really nothing to worry about.
"Oh no I'm fine, do not fret over me- the nurse has done the basics, I'm all good.Kurumi will take care of me."He said smirking as he pointed at the mountain of pillows his right leg was resting on.

Nika was relieved to hear that he was okay. "Well I hope your leg gets btter soon!" she said smiling. "Well I should really back over to where I was sitting before. I don't want Emily to think I lost my way in the common room." she said smiling to both him and Kurumi

"Bye Kurumi, bye Adam. I will be over there if you need me." She said pointing to chairs on the other side.

Kurumi smiled at the girl's innocence. At least it seemed like she hadn't felt the pain that she had growing up. She didn't wish that on anyone. "I am glad to hear that," she nodded. "I really love it here too. Everything that is important to me is here," she gave a sideways glance towards Adam. "Being at Hogwarts, for me at least, is like having a piece of your soul return to you after it has been missing for centuries." Well, more like 11-years, but centuries sounded more dramatic. "Were you in Divination? I was just thinking about starting on the homework myself," she said pointing to her parchment, quill, and textbook on the end table.

"There is no need to be cross with me," she frowned in a rather serious tone. Being cross would cause him stress. Stress would cause him to be sad and moody. Moody people just don't heal very quickly.

Kurumi sat down on the soft next to Adam, the non-foot-propped up on pillows side. "All this from tripping over someone's foot? You are more of a hazzard to yourself than Heather is," she laughed thinking about her stuffed panda loving friend. "I assume you already went to the hospital wing then," she said examining his leg by looking over his shoulder. "I am sure you are fine, but I worry about you...I want to help you while I still can..."

Her hands flew to her mouth. She hadn't meant to bring up that at this moment. It was probably the last thing that he needed to think about. Same went for her.

"So, did you manage to avoid the giant cupcake in Flying? I landed right in the middle of it..." she said rather quickly trying to change the subject.

Lucy was really shocked as she heard those words from Rex "What? You’re getting married? OMG!!!! I didn't think you'll get married so soon, anyway, i'm excited for you! Hope it all goes well." she said smiling at him.
"So how's all the planning going on, i don't think you could actually concentrate at any of the class thinking about the wedding" she said and laughed. "You can always call me for help, i'll be there."

Rubiey smiled slightly at her best friend. "When I got back to grandparents after going to Germany with Fee, and my mother came and... there was some drama. She took me back to hers, she got married to her boyfriend, then she told me we were moving to Austrailia." She sighed slightly, remembering. "She wanted to get me as far away from this 'freaky school' as possible. We were due to leave the other day, but I was lying in my bed, and I could hear them sleeping next door. I packed my trunk, and left. Got the Knight Bus here." She said, shrugging and taking another sip of her Pumpkin Juice. The journey had been... bumpy, to say the least, but it was fun.

Rubiey frowned when she heard that her mother had left.She rubbed Alice's arm sympathetically. "Aw, I'm so sorry Allie. I wish I was here to help you through it." She said sadly. Damn her stoopid mother. She had missed everything to do with her friends - Fee and Ed breaking up, and now this.

"We shall" Raven replied, guiding Alicia to a classroom, he knows always vacant. and they hurried to the portraits holes of the Fat lady

"Yeah. Dragons are awesome!" she smiled
"AW thanks! I really hoped I would be in Gryffindor, as my sister was in it as well. But my mam was a ravenclaw." But she wasn't smart enough to be a ravenclaw!
"I'm sure you got put in the right house as well!"
She was brave enough to talk to people! Emily coudn't do that!

Ooohhhh! Cookies! Wait, mabye she shoudn't... Oh to hell with it! She wanted a cookie!
"Uh, yes please. Cookies are the best!" she laughed. Why had she turned 4?

" Oh, so did you think I was a catch?" Rex asked Lucy laughing so hard he fell off the couch. Rex picked himself up with some dignity." Thank you for being excited for me" Rex told Lucy. " Rene is planning the wedding" Rex said to Lucy. " Both of us can really keep our mind on classes and homework" Rex explained to Lucy. " If we need help, I promise we will call you and thanks for accepting the invitation" Rex smiled.

"Well I didn't know very much about the different houses, but if I did I would have it no other way. I love it here in Gryffindor!" Nika loved everything about her house, the people in it, and the common room! "Those cookies do look very good and Kurumi made them and I have heard she makes the best cookies ever! And I bet they will taste awesome!" Nika said laughing at her own choice of words. She stood up to go get some cookies for both Emily and herself.

"Yes I was in Divination! I really liked the class!" She said genuinely "Actually I was planning to start it soon as well,"Nika said as she turned back to Emily. "But before I go to work on it I promised Emily that i would get her one of those cookies you made!" Nika stood up and smiled, "Do you want to work on the homework together?" Nika's thoughts turned back to Emily. She didn't want to leave one of her best friends out. "Do you think that she could join us?"

"Divination is interesting, but I am more of an Arthimancy type of person. It's more set, more definite. Sometimes Divination can be, well, a little to mystical for me." Not to mention downright vague. "Emily?" Kurumi tilted her head to try and look around Nika. Had she met an Emily yet? She wasn't sure. "Of course, sometimes it takes several heads to understand some of the homework."

Christopher nodded at his sister. He could hardly speak. Why did she have to be so happy? He didn't want to dampen her spirits. Thankful for the distraction, he shot a weak smile at Selina. When the two walked through the portrait he shoved the letter back in his bag and sunk down in his chair. He sighed, wishing this would all just end.

"Sorry. It's just that you treat me like I can't handle myself.I know you want to take care of me as much as you can, until I am not here anymore...But that just might make it harder for you next year-when you really have no one to baby around anymore."He explained in a softer tone.

Then his conversation with Selina at the 7th floor corridor popped into his head and he had to look at Nika and her friends chatting, before he began to sob in front of Kurumi.

Yeah I did avoid it. You must've tried to figure out all the ingridents in it?"He said in a teasing manner.

Something in Adam's tone frightened her, but she decided to leave it alone for now. She didn't want to start crying and she didn't want them to fight in the middle of the common room for no reason other than they were both stressed out. "Aw, you won't have to worry about that. I'll have plenty of people to baby, as you call it. I've already had to help a few first years out with some problems and I've got my sights set on perhaps becoming a prefect," she smiled reassuringly. Adam didn't have to worry about her. She could take care of herself, for the most part. "I'll just have to spend more time in the kitchens next year," she said with a slight hint of sadness in her tone.

"I wish that was why I fell into it," she blushed looking down at the ground. "I was trying to get myself seated properly on my broom when I slipped. Selina was not happy with me about the whole thing."

"But not baby them in the way you do with me, anyways...How's class?I've only been to Quidditch Flying Class."He said after her long speech."We can spend time in the kitchens now...Or when I get better on my feet."adam said, trying to spend as much time as he had with her.

"Are you sure she wasn't very happy about anything else that had to do with you?"He asked leaning in.

"You do have a point," she laughed. Adam was perhaps the only person that she went into full on nurse mode with. "Classes are fantastic. Eino and I paired up in Divination which actually ended up to be more useful than I thought. Certainly gave me a lot to think about. We had a water balloon fight in Charms. My robes are still drying out. Potions was, well, interesting. I have to go and talk to Dragon Lady...she said she needed to see me," which couldn't possibly be a good thing. "Besides the cupcake, Flying went fine besides the whole cupcake thing."

She tilted her head to the side at Adam's next question. Selina was unhappy with her? What did she do? She hadn't done or said anything mean about her as far as she knew. Sure, she hadn't listened to her advice during Flying about just dismounting her broom, but Kurumi wanted to try and fix things herself. Was that what she was upset about? "No...she didn't say anything to me...why?" Kurumi looked hurt.

"No. I don't think she is neccasarily mad at you- just maybe...She is stressed out because she feels like she might have to pick up the pieces after I leave."Adam explained a bit more clearly, sitting up more straight."Selina feels like she is now resposnesible to watch over you..."

Kurumi folded her arms across her chest. Who was talking about babying who now? She raised an eyebrow at Adam and took a deep breath before speaking. "Adam, losing you will probably be one of the hardest things I will have to deal with. You have been everything to me since I came to Hogwarts. I never asked her to pick up the pieces of me after you leave. I have an entire summer to get myself back to a good state of mind with my brothers." She paused for a moment to look into his eyes with her own violet ones. "The way you are talking is making it sound like I will never see or hear from you again," she frowned.

"I think I won't."He said quietly into his jacket, so that it came out a bit muffled.
"Are you sure- so many things remind me of you when I went home for the summer, a pink tree, library, a little girl who would rather spend time with her brothers than parents..."Adam said in a desperate voice as he listed what reminded him of Kurumi.

"Y-Y-Y-You won't ever what? You won't even write to me?" Kurumi's eyes were filled with hurt now if they hadn't been already. That made no sense. Was he just going to cut her completely out of his life? After all they had been through? After everything she had told him. "Are you just going to cut everything about Hogwarts out of your life after you leave? Don't you think that is a bit, well, extreme? We once talked about how this place was home. We could be ourselves here and we had so much more support than we ever had at home. Are you telling me that was all a lie?" She was really trying her best not to get overly emotional about the situation. She already had a lot on her plate that was making her emotions go all over the place. She really didn't need another.
