Gryffindor Common Room

The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through.

"Flibbertigibbet!"

Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes!

That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.

For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home! There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby!

All their talk about the future they could have together, it really was just a fantasy...perhaps even a reality that the two could escape to and hide from the reality that was chasing after them all year.

She clung onto him like a slug ( really bad animal to compare her to. Excuse me), and he didn't like the feeling. it would only make it harder for herself.

He knew he'd have to do this sooner or later, so he had prepared himself the best he could to be ready just to let go of her. But Kurumi never got this notice...Unless Selina had said something...

"You know something I don't. Something Selina told you..."

This was beginning to turn into his second and her first year.

Adam wanted to know. But he knew if he asked what it was, he'd scream at Kurumi for no reason,never believe her. He didn't want to already strain their broken friendship, relationship over some silly vision Selina had.

Besides how'd he know if it was something true. it could all be a made up lie?

He knew not knowing what it was would end up killing him in the end, but he just wanted to live his life.

Kurumi took a timid step forward, and stopped herself from moving too close. She didn't want the pain of being pushed away again.

Her body felt heavy and empty as she walked over to her trunk, scratched Tigger on the head, and then grabbed her trunk and began slowly dragging it across the common room with Walnut rubbing up against her leg every chance he could.

When she reached the portal, she rested her left hand on it and looked over her shoulder to take one last look at Adam who was still standing by the windowpane. She reached into her pocket and took out a cherry blossom cookie cutter and set it on the table for Adam to take, should he wish to have something to remember her by.

"Adam..." she whispered just loudly enough for him to hear her. "You were the best, and perhaps the worst, thing to ever happen to me." She began to break down and her sob echoed in the common room. "If all I have are memories...I suppose I can go on living...A memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose..." She looked at Adam, smiled through her tears, and then disappeared through the portal refusing to stop and look back.

"What?! You've got to come to Halles! It's a once in a lifetime trip!" Well, for her it probably was.
Then she heard Nikas reason and relaxed. "Oh! That's why." Pft. Nika actually believed in that kind of stuff.
She rumaged in her bag while she spoke. "Arithmancy and Divination mean nothing to me. We may be magical, but even we carn't predict the future or learn things about ourselves just from letters and numbers."
She pulled out two chocolate frog boxes and tossed one on Nika's lap.
"I know you must miss your sister, and I understand if you'd rather spend time with your family, but it's only two weeks, make it less if you must! But you'll have time to bond the rest of the holiday, and I don't think you should give up this trip just because a text book implied it."
She opened up her own box and smiled at the card she'd gotten.
"If it makes you feel better, I also got I was missing family focus but I'm still going to Halles and yours, cause I know I'll have at least a week with my muggle family when I go to ireland, so no harm done."
She had to come. She had to! Pleeeeeease Nika!

"Well I guess you're right..." Nika admitted slowly. She knew that the trip would mean everything to her, but she couldn't help but feel that she was pushing away her family. Nika listened as Emily gave her reasoning. She was about to stand up for Divination because after all it was her favorite subject at this point, but she let Emily continue. She took the chocolate frog from her lap and opened the box slowly. "Yeah I think I will go." Nika bit the froggies front foot off and chewed slowly. Nika then remembered to look at the card that she had gotten. "Thanks for the frog! I wonder what card I got! The cards are my favorite part!" Nika looked at her card and smiled. "It says under the picture, Godric Gryffindor! Is he the guy who founded our house?" Nika couldn't stop her mind from drifting back to her family again. She didn't want to leave them. "I think I'm going to tell Halle that I can only stay for a week because I've also made some other plans for the holidays as well. See you're coming over, I'm going to my friend Isobel's grandma's place in france, then another friend of mine named Hannah invited me to stay with her in America (California I think), and then Halle." Nika was a bit overwhelmed by all of the invites she had received. She never had many friends and now they are just coming out of no where.

Emily pulled out her own frog then dropped it back into her bag at hearing Halles words. Did she just say she was sick?
"Um, me too. Although sugar quills are my favourites..." She took out her chocolate frog again and unwrapped it.
"Um. Halle? If you don't mind me asking, did you say you were sick?" Not that she was judging her! She had Eczma! Which wasn't an illness but still a condition she could live without.

"I got Albus Dumbeldore. My sister said he was the greatest headmaster the school ever had!" She wasn't sure why though.
Listening to where Nika was going during the holiday, Emily almost choked on the piece of chocolate she was eating. "Wow, your travelling all over the world!" she smiled, taking another bite of her frog. "I'm just going to Halle's in California, a week with my granparents in Ireland and... how long am I staying at yours for?" That was kindda important.

Halle slowly ate her chocolate frog. Emily had noticed her statement. "Yeah, you see, I have tuberculosis. Sometimes when my enrgy is used up a lot, I start caoughing. Sometimes if it's bad blood will come up." Halle said. "Don't worry, I'm being treated for it." Halle opened her bag a bit to show Emily her medication. "I'll be better soon though!" Halle exclaimed. She hoped, her brother had said that it can come back, even of your treated for it. That was something she was afraid of.

My dad isn't really big on traveling, or family time. It's mostly work for him, sometimes he stays at his dental office for hours after he is supposed to be finished." Nika didn't know why she continued talking, but she felt as though she owed herself an explanation, not just Emily. "Oh. Um however long you want I guess. Maybe a week or two? It's really up to you."

Emily nodded understandingly. It was hard when the people you lived with didn't understand magic.
"Well it would depend on when I go. Just 'cause it's my birthday the beginning of August." And her sister had promiced her a surprise. Mabye she had convinced her parents to let her have a owl! That would be the best present ever!
"Where in England do you live? AND ALSO!" she shouted this as she had just remembered "Promice you'll write! Here..." she reached in her bag and scribbled her address and telephone number, her tounge out slightly. "This is my address and my number, so we can write and talk, even with all the places your going!" She half-smiled. Nika just had more friends than her, she wasn't good at meeting new people.

"It's alright, I will get better." Halle said. She didn't mind being ill, but she didn't like it either. Halle took the peice of paper from Emily. "Ofcourse I will! Here's mine also...." Halle wrote her email, address, and phone number. She handed it to Emily. "I'm so excited for the holiday!" Halle couldn't wait to see her family and ofcourse her trip.
