The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through.
"Gobbledygook!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes!
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home! There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby!

Kurumi was reading her Defense Against the Dark Arts book trying to make sense of her homework assignment. Adam was in detention, Heather in the hospital wing...she was beginning to wonder if she was just accident prone and perhaps even bad luck for her friends. Still...she wouldn't mind meeting some new people - she even had made a fresh batch of cookies to share.

Lily looked up from her book, noticing a girl across the room looking quite puzzled. She walked across the room and sat down next to her. "Hello, my name is Liesel Klein, but just call me Lily," she said cheerfully, putting her book down. "How are you liking Hogwarts? Today was pretty long, not too fun," she said with a laugh. Lily hoped this girl would become her good friend, she didn't know anyone, and she'd only spoken to a few people. It was good to know that she could make some new friends...
Alex felt a wave of pleasure. Was this girl actually reaching out to her? After all these years did she finally have a friend? She started to tell Lily about how her mother left when she found out her husband was a wizard. Alex was only two when that happened. She hadn’t had any contact with her mother since then. She told Lily about how her father died when she was just seven. She was then sent to live at the Peter J. Herman Memorial orphanage. She told Lily about the girls who teased her about her appearance. She told Lily about the emptiness that filled her every day.
“But I think coming to Hogwarts will be a great opportunity to make friends.” she finished.
“Man, you’ve really been through a lot, haven’t you?”
“Yeah, but it’s bound to get better. You wouldn’t mind being friends with nerdy ole Alex Jacobson, would you?”
“I wouldn’t mind one bit.”
Alex just smiled at her.

Alex told Rex all about how her mother left when she was two and how her father was killed when she was seven and how she never had any friends at the orphanage she was forced to stay at.
“Well, you have me as a friend now.” Rex told her.
Alex smiled up at him. It was comforting to know there was finally someone looking out for her.

"Been busy...I'm still trying to get the paint from DADA out of my other robes." She laughed a little. "How have you been? Did you see all the homework we have?!"

Lily laughed. She could tell these two were going to be the best of friends.

Jermaine walked into the Gryffindor common room still feeling the excitement from hearing his name being called as one of the champions for Beauxbatons. It was amazing that all four of them had been chosen. This was going to be a great competition he was sure.
Finding an empty sofa he went and sat down. Now, where was that little lion cub Carter? He wanted to ask him how things went with his girlfriend-type-person Marie. You know so he could decide if the boy still needed lessons on how to act around beautiful girls.

" 'Well, I am not worried about the Tri-Wizard tournament' Rex told Lucy. "Carrie, your girl prefect got picked, so i hope we all go there and root her on and she is the only girl competing in the tournament" Rex explained to Lucy. " I am going to classes and am visting the grounds" Rex smiled. Well, I applaud you for putting your name in there when you become a seventh year" Rex gave Lucy a pat on the back .

Lucy looked at Rex as he spoke "Yeah, Carrie, i know. I hope she would do well; i'm supporting all the Hogwarts students. I don't want any outsider to take the house cup" she said and laughed as she heard Rex encouraging her to put her name in the Goblet "Yeah, for sure, i know you'll support me with i do that" she said smiling at him.
She looked at the girl talking about the tournament "Oh, that's not a problem. We could tell about that. It's really an interesting game. Students from other school join together in the tournament. The best ones are chosen as this year we have Carrie, Miles and Destiny from Hogwarts in the tournament. They have to go through a couple of challenge to win the tournament and i must tell you it's really exciting to watch." sh said to the girl smiling hoping she got what Lucy said.

Kurumi was very pleased that the girl was enjoying her cookies. "Thank you. My mother taught me how to bake," Kurumi explained looking at her now almost empty box of cookies. Perhaps she should have made more...

Lucy then turned to see the two girls talking they seemed to be new in Hogwarts "Hi! I'm Lucy and you?" she asked her smiling them.

Kurumi noticed another girl and smiled at her. Maybe she would like a cookie? "Hello...," Kurumi said shyly. "I don't think we have met yet..my name is Kurumi," she said offering the girl one of her cookies.
Ashley noticed a familiar girl smiling at her, she had seen her around before but had not yet spoke to her, she smiled back and replied, 'Hello Kurumi it's nice to meet you, my name is Ashley.'
Ashley took one of the cookies the girl was offering her, she smiled and said 'Thanks.'
She bit into the cookie, it was delicious, 'Wow these are really good!'

Rubiey flopped down in front of the fire. She was shattereddddddd. Hogwarts was tiring. She had finished ALLL the homework set, and had done her dream diary, so there was nothing to do except go to sleeeeeeeep. She raised her arm half-heartedly to everyone in general, and stared into the embers of the fire.
